Roots Turf & Ornamental in Bonaire

Just came out to my house today and in spite of the weather the technician(Mario) conducted a very thorough inspection, told me what he saw, made some suggestions that I agreed with and he took care of it. I ve been with this company for a long time and I must say that my lawn always looks good.

Was trying to maintain my yard myself, Roots was maintaining neighbors yard, their yard was amazing. Decided to give Roots a try. So far with just one year of service, yard is looking so much better. Thumbs up with Mario for identifying issues in my yards. Pleased with services Roots provides.

Mario is always thorough and courteous. He always calls ahead to let me know he is coming, and contacts me if for some reason he can t make it. He recommends additional treatments to improve my lawn, but is not pushy if I reject his suggestions.

My service with Roots is always great and the tech Mario is great and his customer service is great.

Last year there were several weeds that had taken over my yard. As an example, two kinds of dandelion, henbit and something that I couldnt identify. Jacob came out from ROOTS, we discussed the problems and he took command and today, January 2025 the yard looks a great deal better for the oncoming spring. Thanks Roots and Jacob.

Today I had my lawn treated for regularly treatment by Mario. He mentioned that he notice I had mole crickets and explained what could happen if untreated and then mentioned he could apply the necessary treatment today. Ive been a customer with Roots since moving to GA in 2010. Excellent company and staff!! My lawn is often complimented on by neighbors for how lush and green it always looks. They go the extra mile to help. Technicians always call/text before they show up so I can secure my dogs, have helped me reset my sprinkler system/timer, removed trees, replaced sod, planted trees, etc. Yesterday Mario came to do my regular lawn service while I wasnt home and noticed I had fungus growing in the yard. He contacted me immediately, waited at the house for my response/we discussed and he treated it immediately. I highly RECOMMEND Roots for any lawn service needed--they are the best all around!

Best lawn weed service in town. I have used their services for 2 years now. My grass always looks amazing, and they have the best prices in town. The staff at Roots are hands down the best. Everyone you talk with is so friendly and really works hard to keep their customers happy. I have been a customer for several years but I recently took a fews months without the service. Of course, my lawn is a absolute mess now. I decided its time get my lawn back in shape and asked the office to send someone out to take a look before a technician actually showed up. Mr. Juan Flores came out to inspect my lawn. He explained everything that was going on, the weeds and mixed grasses taking over and I what needed to get things back on track. He was very thorough, professional, and polite. He even scheduled an appointment for the same day with one of their most experienced technicians. Thank goodness for professionals like Mr. Flores. I felt 100% better after having him pay a visit.

Had a discussion with mario one of your technicians he was helpful and insightful about what i needed for my backyard lawn he pointed out some issues and provided some solutions at a reasonable price.

Mario texted on Friday stating he would be coming Monday. When he was on the way he texted again and rang the doorbell to ensure the dogs were inside the house. I really appreciate this. While we walked around the yard Mario pointed out a few things that needed attention. Some he could take care of today.

I have been with roots since 2019; we started with them and every spring and summer we had beautiful lawn. Well this year we had a yard full of weeds, we called toots about our problem, they came back out, also the I spoke with the manager she explained to me the reason why we had the problem the heat and humidity. We had been using Liquid Lawn and they didn t notice we had army worms, plus went up significantly on the price without even notifying us. I called Roots and Jay immediately came to assess our yard due to army worms and got it treated quickly. Jay has been amazing communicating with us on what s going on with our yard and when he will be coming by. Within just two months you can tell a big difference in our yard, we have no more weeds and the army worms are gone. Thank you Jay for taking care of my yard!

I have used this company for over 5 years. They were here on time and performed what I asked to be done perfectly. The technician, Jay, was professional, courteous, and answered all my questions. I just had my weed control contract canceled because I requested a different technician. The new technician texted me Tuesday morning and said he was coming that day. He never showed up or let me know he was not coming! I had to text him at the end of the day to find out he was not coming. When I called the office today to get another appointment time scheduled and to get someone else to come, I was told he was the only one on my route and and they were working out the kinks with him. I told her that I did not want him to come to my house and said she would take care of the account. I asked what that meant, and she said she would cancel our account with them. I have had problems before with a technician not doing what they were supposed to do and did not want to work out the kinks with the new technician. I will say that Tim and Carter were amazing when we had them do our yard. Really poor to cancel a good paying customer because they do not want to waste their time waiting all day for someone not to show up. Hire better people!

We have had the worst experience with Roots. I don t do reviews normally as I know how damaging they can be however I don t want anyone else to pay hundreds of dollars to get more weeds. Before I posted this we gave this company the benefit of the doubt, we spoke to the owner about our concerns of our yard not being fully sprayed as we have cameras all around our house and their employee is only ever sited on one camera. The only reason we questioned it is because every time they sprayed it seemed like weeds never got better, in fact they seemed to get worse. We gave them one more chance after several discussions and once again same thing. Please take your business to professionals who care about your hard earned money and take care of their customers.

Im currently at work and Im watching them on my camera. They are very thorough I must say. I used Liquid Lawn Company prior to this company and they did a awesome job also but they typically they would be in and out in 10-15 minutes. From what Im observing it definitely seems as though they hit every corner and area of my yard. Im very excited in seeing the results. I will report back in the following months on the results. We have a beautiful front and backyard until we used this company to spray our yard for weeds going into the winter season. As the season changes for the spring we noticed dead patches of grass throughout the front and back yard. We attempted to reach the company and spoke with staff member who serviced our yard and he attempted to burning our grass however, after addressing our concerns with the manager we have not received a refund or any offers to replace our sod at all this a very unprofessional company. I just want to thank Carter for his service. He initially treated my yard on Friday, however, not able to access my back yard. He left a notice and made himself available to come back and complete the job. Great customer service.

I did not have a single weed when I hired roots to maintain my beautiful lawn; last year around June 2022. All summer (2023) I ve had to call between services because as time goes on I have more and more weeds coming up. Very dissatisfied with their products; they didn t work for my yard. However, they always were friendly, professional, and did come with no hassle during scheduled services and in between when I called. Unfortunately, whatever they are doing isn t cutting it at all. I see no dead weeds just new ones.

We used Roots this year for weed and mosquito control. It was great! Our lawn was covered in weeds, we have a lot of erosion but once the weeds were under control we actually have grass growing again! We have a flood plane behind our house so the mosquitoes were out of control! You couldn t stay outside for any length of time before you had to retreat inside.. now we can actually stand outside without being eaten! Our service man always text to let me know he was coming by.. I would strongly recommend Roots! They are great

This is the best lawn/landscaping company in middle Georgia, and the cheapest that Ive found. We put a pool in last fall which left our back yard mostly mud and dirt and thought I wouldnt have a good full grass for at least a couple of years. I purchased some seed, fertilizer, and other. Things for the yard and Roots had no problem incorporating it into their lawn care plan and started their service around April/May and we had our grass back by July/August time frame. They are the best.

I ve been using roots for a few years now and Juan has always taken great care of my yard. Yard looks great and the pest control is top notch. Anytime I have a question I call up and speak with Taylor and she s extremely helpful. Juan and Taylor are the best in the business!

Highly recommend! My neighbors recommended Roots for their professional, affordable service so I gave them a try. They are exactly as recommended and more! We use them for tree/shrub treatment, lawn weed control and mosquito spraying. Very military friendly and they don t do clean reacts so the pricing is fair, flexible and easy! Prior to starting our treatments with them a couple years ago - our weeds were terrible and the mosquitoes were horrible. Now, my yard, trees/shrubs look fantastic! Mosquitoes are at a minimum in our yard and we are near bodies of water and heavy foliage, so that s saying something! If the mosquitoes seem to be more than expected, they will come out again at not extra cost quickly to respray! Juan normally services our yard and he is always very friendly, efficient and professional. He texts me either the day prior or morning of as a courtesy to ask and let me know he is planning to come by! He has followed through every time, on time and does a thorough job! Whenever I have had issues with our trees/shrubs, such as decaying - they come out to inspect them and treat them as needed. That s all next level customer service right there! I m a big fan and will be sticking with Roots. I love supporting local businesses and hope you do too!

We have used Roots for many years and highly recommend them. We use their Mosquito and Perimeter Pest control which are both provided by technician Juan. Juan does an excellent job taking time to ensure the entire area is treated. We have not seen any bugs in our house or mosquitoes since starting these treatments. Juan also texts us first to ensure it is OK for him to come since we have dogs and keep our gate locked. We also have Weed control and Fire Ants treatment by Roots and are extremely pleased with these services too. Roots is truly an outstanding company.

I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to get rid of weeds in my lawn. Within the first two appointments I could see results that I never could get on my own. Best thing I have ever done for my lawn. We have small children and sand spurs in our yard. They were gone in a few applications. Our back yard is fun again.

We recieved our application for bug control from Juan Flores and he gave 5 star service. The young man was very professional and knowledgeable to any questions and did a thorough job on our property. The company should be lucky to have such a great worker.

I looked up the Best of the Best in lawn and plant care and Roots came up #1! I called and Kyle Gore, Sales Manager, came for a consult with me. I had had a contract service with a company and was not satisfied with the service. Mr. Gore came promptly the next day, looked at my situation, and I started off with a month to month service to keep my lawn fertilized and weeded. He was professional and made me feel confident that this company can help me get my lawn into the best shape possible.

Their pest control is top notch! Before I had their pest control, I went on vacation for a week, and spiders took over my home and left a bunch of house millipede carcasses in corners everywhere! I had to leave my home for about a week again a few days after they sprayed, and when I came back, there were dead house millipedes EVERYWHERE on my front patio. It sounded like I was walking on snow with all the crunching of the dead bugs as I was just walking up to my door. I only spotted one dead house millipede inside of my home, instead of dozens. I would highly recommend their perimeter pest control. Mike did a thorough job of spraying the perimeter! As for their weed control, I am not 100% sold on it yet. I had a serious weed problem before I left for a week, and I know it takes time, but I dont think I see any noticeable wilting in the weeds yet.

I have been using Roots for awhile now to help with my perimeter pest control. I can definitely tell that their monthly pest control has been helping keep bugs from entering my home. The pricing is fair and the customer service is A1! They are extremely responsive and the person that does my yard, always does my yard. I like that it helps with them staying familiar and consistent. Any issues, they handle real time. It doesn t help with mosquitoes if you re wondering, that is most likely a different package which most places charge separately for it.

I have been a Roots customer for about 2 years in total. I briefly switched to another weed control company after my first year with Roots in order to save $5 a month. I never see any weeds when Roots is servicing our property. Unfortunately, I can t say the same for the other company we used. It didn t take long for weeds to start appearing when we used the other weed control company. After using the other company for 2 months, I quickly realized that I made a mistake by leaving Roots. I called Roots up and they were able to offer me the same price I was getting with the other company. Long story short, Roots offers exceptional service at a reasonable price and trust me you will see the weeds in your yard shortly disappear after enrolling in a RTO program. Highly recommend!!

Just a waste of money for me. Didnt kill my weeds or fertilize my grass. I used the added free program for free spot treatments for weeds but it didnt work. I was told that the chemicals dont kill the weeds and or prevent from coming back and depending on what type of weeds I have could take multiple treatments before I saw results. Just seems like I could just research and add my own weed and feed fertilizer instead of paying 104.00 or 55.00 a month for only treatments every 6 weeks . The math didnt add up. Figured I just save more Money on results of my own.

I started out as a homeowner in Centerville using the big name lawn care company. I was actually pleased with their results, and we enjoyed a weed-free yard for a year. Then I fell prey to a local conniver. He offered the same service for half the price. I signed on the dotted line. Not sure exactly what happened, but all my grass died. When I went to cancel the service, the owner said You should have asked us to do a soil sample or something if all of your grass was dying. My thought was isnt that what Im paying for? For their crew to notice whats going on and handle it?? So I went back to the big name company and on multiple occasions witnessed the service rep merely pulling up to my house, writing a service note, hanging it on my door, and leaving. No treatment of our lawn at all. So I asked in the great and wonderful Robins-To-Go who would make a good lawn care company. Many people recommended Roots Turf and Ornamental. But the clincher was when Kyle Gore messaged me through Facebook and made an appointment to come to my house merely because I had posted in Robins To Go. That says something about this company! On two other occasions, I have messaged Kyle personally and asked him questions. He doesnt answer my messages. He comes to my house and talks to me! Telling the truth, with service like that, who cares if my grass ever grows? Kyle says we need a good year to get things on the right track. So well see. But honestly, the customer service is so wonderful, I cant imagine Ill be looking elsewhere for lawn care!!! Thank you so much RTO!!!

Though I only require lawn fertilizing service, they offer many other services to ensure a beautiful lawn year round. Austin stays 100% on schedule and always calls leading up to the service to let me know when Im on his schedule. The treatment used is tailored specifically to meet my lawns need and it shows. If I have any concerns regarding stubborn weeds, I simply place a call and the company sends out a rep to assess and target my problem. And finally value is paramount. As a retired military member, I am very careful how I spend my limited income, eliminating excess where needed. The quality for the money cannot be beat. Roots offers periodic specials and discounts that chip away at the bottom line, giving me the best deal possible.

Excellent company! Our lawn looks great year round. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable- and always call or text before they come by (which is appreciated, so we can make sure our pups are out of the way.)

This business leaves flyers on peoples property which are all red on one side, and say missing in large white letters. The flyer looks like a missing child flyer. I see this as a very ethically questionable way to pursue business. I will not use or trust them based on this clearly ethically challenged tactic.

We have used several national lawn care companies in the past with less than satisfactory results for our centipede lawn. This company is phenomenal!! They are very customer oriented and our lawn has never looked better after only 3 treatments. They really know their stuff about southern lawns. We highly recommend Roots Lawn Service. Our newly built home, as of July 2021, came with a lawn full of various types of weeds from all of the churning up of the ground for leveling purposes. It took a few applications, but our yard is free of weeds now. Also the fertilization program they use is great. Our grass greened up beautifully and although it is dormant now, our lawn looks beautiful!

We have used Roots for a year and a half now. I was doing it myself spending around $80 for two large bags of weed and feed, and pre-emmergent. Breaking my back pushing the spreader. Spot treating with roundup. Still wasnt as good as it could be. Finally called Roots. Taylor is the sweet young lady who will handle your set up. Jesse is my man who comes out and does a great job. Transformed our backyard! These guys nailed it taking our backyard from drab to fab. When we bought this house, our backyard was average at best and needed a lot of work. After consulting with Roots and having had them treat our front yard for the past year, we decided to give them the project. They took out ALL the weeds, twigs, etc. They brought in more dirt. They buried our drains from the house to the creek. They primed the land, so the sod would take immediately. They edged new beds. From our before to after pictures, you can see the amazing results. They helped us open up our yard, so we can actually enjoy it. Our yard took a 180, and we have Roots to thank. Not only did the service stop there. Im a Type A when it comes to the lawn, so any questions or concerns I had, Roots would answer right away over the phone or by coming onsite. I saw him at the grocery store recently and expressed my concern over brown spots (i.e. didnt know if we had a fungus or what). He stopped by in the next few days to check it out. My father lives on same street and we both had are yards sprayed. Immediately after we had a downpour and multiple evening downpours. We were in yard and outside around pool during day and evening no bites!!!! I sit on my back porch every evening and fight mosquitoes.....until you sprayed my yard. Its the best money Ive spent this year!!! I definitely recommend their service!

I use to do my own weed control. It seemed i could never get it quite right and got tired of being out in the sun to do it. Roots has been a blessing for us. My yard looks better than ever! The best part is I have more time for doing the things I want with my family. Theyre very responsive if I have any questions and always let me know ahead of time when theyre coming. He went above and beyond not only getting our lawn healthy again, but by coming by every other week to make sure that the progress of our lawn was heading in the right direction. My yard was a disaster. I started using Roots Turf & Ornamental and one season later, my lawn looks amazing! I tried the mosquito control this summer and it was the first time I was able to sit on my back porch in the evenings, mosquito free. Now, Im having Roots do my pest control to stop anything getting into my house. Im sure I will be satisfied with that as well. Excellent customer service and does a great job treating our lawn. The service techs always leave informational notes for us to improve our lawn. All treatments are safe for animals and kids. They dont have an online payment option but do make payments easy by providing a pre-made envelope and address.
