All American Lawn & Landscaping in Anoka

I am very pleased with the work completed with All American. John came out to estimate and then again, at my request, to review the work that I wanted done. I am especially impressed with the ladies on the crew who designed the landscaping and did an an extremely thorough clean up at the end of each day. I did have some extras at the end of the job, which I had requested, and feel like John was fair in his pricing. I will be having All American redo my patio in the fall.

The upside, they showed up and worked. The down sides 1. If anything was not written into the estimate, it will cost extra, a lot extra. 2. Should complications arise, like running into a tree root while putting in an in ground irrigations system, or "hidden" footings, it was more $$. He under estimated materials needed, then will pad the bill. I had a 60 foot long x 24" tapering retaining wall on my bid which was installed as 45 foot long 12" high line of the same size rocks with up to 3 inch gaps between them. Pipes on irrigation were left exposed, and I was told that was my responsibility to bury them as it was to hard for the owners kid to do it. Decent people, bad landscaper, and shady estimates.

All American recently did our patio. They were great to work with. The crew worked tirelessly each day so that our patio was finished in less than a week. The team communicated with us throughout the project and kept us in the loop. We are very happy with the end result and definitely would work with them again/recommend them!

I had John @ All American Landscaping do some work for me. If you are looking to have work done in this area I strongly suggest you look else where. He did some landscaping, & recommended putting in a large treated wood flower box. He did the work but never returned to do the flower box arrangement as committed. Then I decided to do it myself. Unfortunately the Flower box after 1 month was severely warped on all 4 sides. (I have 8 pics). I called and said I didn’t want it and I wanted my money back. He immediately called back & went ballistic because he thought I was requesting all of the money paid for the job when I was referring exclusively to the flower box. (On a side note when I made out the check in full to All American Landscaping he refused to take it saying it had to be made out to him personally? What?) Unfortunately things didn’t get any better. He’s the arrogant obnoxious type that thinks the louder and faster he talks he’ll just wear you down. I told him I wanted my money back and he told me he would give me the cost of the wood only. What? He finally admitted the box probably warped because he used nails when screws should have been used???? He then offered to replace the flower box using screws this time and warranting it until the end of summer??? A 3 month warranty! At that point I had as little confidence in him as he obviously had in his ability to build a decent flower box. He then relented and offered a 12 month warranty and I said NO. Then came his loud angry tirade. Yelling “if you bought a new car and something went wrong do you think they would take it back? That confirmed it. I was dealing with a imbecile. He ended the conversation by yelling that he never wanted to do business with me again. BELIEVE ME, HE HAS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!

What an AWFUL company! The owner is rude.... arrogant and egotistical. The work is shoddy at best and complete farce. Just watch this guy drive and you can see his attitude about how he feels he sets the rules. I watched him doing 70 in a 55 zone and passed a car on a double yellow line. DO NOT use this guy!

THIS GUY IS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! I generally find that most companies I interact with are respectable but this one is a real peach. Our neighbors were updating their landscaping and hired All American Landscaping. We live on a cul-de-sac and apparently he had reached his point of having to move his equipment out of the way for cars to pass. On Wednesday I came up our street to find his bobcat parked unattended crossways in the street blocking both lanes. I patiently waited (mined you I had our security company out that morning and they had the same issue). When he finally came out from the backyard he gave a me a not so nice gesture that I could have went around him. I in fact couldn’t because the neighbor across the street still hadn’t pulled up the garbage. He move his bobcat out of the way and I continued on up the street. I generally stop at the mailbox, get out of my car and grab my mail. The owner was so angry he followed me up the sidewalk to where the mailboxes are and verbally abused telling me that a semi could have made it around his equipment. (I later learned that in fact a lawn service had trouble getting their equipment up the road earlier...so no a semi couldn’t have made it!). I tried to explain to him that there are newer drivers in the neighborhood as well as my daughter just got her permit and would not be able to maneuver around all his equipment. He hurled more profanities and told me to call 911 if I was able to figure that out. I went home looked up his reviews online to find that he has anger issues in the past that were reported. Then called the police. They came out to speak with him in which he denied any wrong-doing. The officer explained to him that he could be ticketed for obstructing traffic and any accident he would be found at fault and liable. The officer asked if I wanted to press charges and I declined hoping that this would provide for a better traffic flow on our street. Well that was my mistake. The next day pulled out of the driveway and drove down the street to once again find the dump trunks parked directly across from each other. My newly permitted driver came to a stop wanting me to drive through the trucks and then she would get back into the drivers seat. This is when the owner of All American Landscaping decides he would approach our truck screaming at us. I got out of the truck walked to the front and took a picture of the two dump trucks and got into the driver’s seat. He proceeded to get in his dump truck parked on the west side of the road fully open his door and try to block me from leaving all while screaming at me and my daughter Fortunately I could squeeze through and get by him. After speaking with other neighbors two had similar issues while waiting for deliveries. One was even told they couldn’t park there as they were trying to deliver furniture even after notifying the landscaper a furniture truck would be arriving in the afternoon. This guy has some serious anger issues problems and future customers need to know his behavior. Do your neighbors a favor and hire someone else.

John was great to work with. Love the job they did. It was a small 1 day job but results are huge. John made suggests as work was progressing that were much better than my orig plan. I will definitely recommend them.

This company operates completely under the table and swindles you. I received an estimate for the work to be done. Upon completion my bill was a thousand dollars more than the estimate. I was told because it was more work than he thought. My point is, if you can't estimate the job then you shouldn't be in the business. After the work was completed it cost me another $800 from another company to repair the yard damage that he left behind and refused to repair. When I made the check out to his company name he pulled out his calculator and said it's going to cost more if you write a check out to my company rather than in my name. This guy is a real piece of work. I would not recommend using his services.
