The backyard was overgrown and neglected for many years. Mike, and his wonderful crew, transformed it. New patio, beds, plants and pathways along with fresh loam and seed. All done in little more than a week. Mike, and his team s, expertise is apparent as I look onto a renewed backyard. Bonus? All done to plan and within budget. Looking forward to part 2 of the project next year.

We needed to rip out our small front and back yards and replace the plants with pet-friendly, drought tolerant plantings. Mike and his crew did a highly professional, beautiful, and timely job, and they even made up for time lost to an unexpected, monsoon-like downpour. They worked within our budget and were willing to phase the project if need be. I was impressed with the design suggestions, which were tailored to our aesthetic and the way we use our yards. From plant selection to installation and cleanup, this was a rare time in our almost 30 years of homeownership that a job felt like a HGTV makeover. I highly recommend this company for their quality service and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Where do I begin.... these guys did a really fantastic job! The short version is right price, great attention to detail, prompt, courteous and hard working. We had a 5ft fieldstone wall that must have been over 50 yrs old. It was bowing and some of the larger stones had fallen out. Mike (owner) came in did a quick review, talked me through budget & options. I asked them to replace a walkway and put in place a paved patio where we had a sloping lawn as part of the job. Mike followed up promptly with a well-priced very clear quote. He didt push me to do extra work and helped me stay within budget. They started work about a month later and in 9 days finished the entire job! They repaired the wall doing as much as was needed to make it look almost new while retaining its rustic look. They were able to re-use the stones we had, and also solved several drainage issues that were causing problems elsewhere. The job site was kept clean and organized each day so we had minimal disruption. The team came in by 8 every morning and were always extremely courteous. I will definitely be using them again for hardscape and landscape work and will recommend them to everyone!

Mike and his crew have been taking care of Concord Greene for 3 years now. They do all of our snow removal, spring-fall clean ups, mulching, weeding and weekly mowing. we have used many landscape companies in the past - Wollaston is by far the best!

Wollaston did a comprehensive renovation of our urban outdoor space (driveway, stone walls, patios & landscaping). We were delighted with the result -- a complete transformation resulting in a beautiful urban oasis. Highlights included: highly interactive design process (our preference) sensitivity to environmental concerns nuanced understanding of plants and materials the ability to deal with unforeseen setbacks great attention to numerous design details. The process was surprisingly easy. They worked with our concepts and added their expertise. We enjoyed trips with the owner to the stone yard, nursery, and neighborhood design examples. The crew was friendly, thoughtful, highly skilled and fully engaged in the project. Our foreman Rick was a delight to work with.

These guys are amazing. It was a small patio that needed to be done since we moved in, but always took a back seat to all the other projects. This time I simply pulled the trigger and I couldn t have been happier. These guys came in and in a few days finished a beautiful job. I know it sounds stupid, but I cried when I saw it. I m a picky perfectionist and there generally is something I can pick out that is off or could have been better. This is perfect. I love it more than I even thought I would. Highly recommend!!

We had a large retaining wall constructed by Wollaston and from the design process, to the permits, to the organization and the execution of the project, Mike and his team were wonderful to work with. It was a complicated area and they made sure there were no issues. They explained every step to us throughout the project and were very responsive when we had any questions. WD created exactly what we were looking for in our back patio - an outside room ! double fire pits with wood storage below; an L-shaped 20 bench to hug around it; and built-in grill/fridge. gorgeous stones that were individually set to make this a truly custom job. It came out absolutely gorgeous, and even better it looks like what should have always been there - blends in perfectly with the outside of our home. love love love

We hired Wollaston Development to redo our front lawn and we could not be happier with the finished product. Mike and his team were great to work with and it is clear they take pride in the work that they do. In a matter of 6 hours, our lawn went from an overgrowth of spotty grass and weeds, to the envy of our neighbors. Through the entire process, Mike worked with us to form our vision in to a reality. Mike helped us select various types of plants and flowers that tastefully tie together the look of our property. We also requested a patio big enough for two chairs and small table for the corner of the lawn underneath an existing dogwood, which turned out better than we could have imagined. Before he left, Mike made sure to walk us through the importance and sometimes tricky process of caring for newly planted flowers, plants, and sod. When I was building my new home I hired Wollaston Development to do all the exterior landscaping and design which included sod, mulch and new trees/shrub, brick paver walkway and beautiful brick paver back patio with built-in grill. They were super helpful with their ideas, responsive and got the work done in a timely manner and I love my yard and patio! Ive recommended them to my friends who were also very happy. Wollaston Development installed a stone patio and exterior stairs at our home in Somerville. Their attention to detail in choosing quality materials while staying within our tight budget was really beneficial. Their crew showed up on time everyday working tirelessly in a crazy heat wave hauling materials in and out by hand! Was so impressed with the result I referred them to another family member who needed a stone patio renovated in Milton and their result was equally as good. Would highly recommend working with these guys.

In the Spring of 2019 my brick patio was a mess. Bricks were falling in and others were popping up and it was surrounded by rotting wood. I contracted with Wollaston to redo the patio after getting quotes from 3 other contractors. Wollaston gave me the best price and was able to start promptly. They removed all of the old patio and replaced it with bricks of my choosing and pattern and edged it with cobblestones. The accomplished this in less than 2 1/2 days, so very quick and easy, and certainly the best price. I highly recommend them.

Mike, and the whole team at Wollaston Development, were a pleasure to work with. We needed our small backyard in Boston landscaped, fenced in, and a patio built. As new homeowners, we were not sure where to even begin. Mike walked us through the process, and at every step explained our options. Amazing

After a few years of cutting the grass and plowing the snow, our townhouse condominium lawns look far worse than before Wollaston got the contract. More broadleaf weeds and crabgrass, more bald dirt areas, more damaged areas due to careless mowing and mowing just after and even during a rain. This company may be good at something, but basic maintenance isn t it. I have yet to see a foreman or supervisor inspect the work being done or take responsibility for the shabby results.

Mike did a great job with us! He scoped the job well, answered questions and helped us with a couple of issues early on that made us feel like we could go forward. The team was great to have around and added value around design as we worked together. The job was done in reasonable time during COVID and we were very pleased with the final result. A+
