Kevin Kirby has been our pest control representative with Heron Home & Outdoor for several years now. He is reliable, personable and gets the job done well. He always gives me a heads up before he s coming so I can plan my kids outdoor activities accordingly. He asks questions to see if there is anything additional I need. Before Kirby, we had issues with pests and mosquitoes. Now it is very rarely a concern. He is always available when I have a question and will quickly schedule as needed appointments. We originally went with Heron as our pest control provider due to being a safer choice with little ones and pets but it s Kirby s excellent customer service and demeanor that has kept us clients of the company. I like that I can go to him directly. I would recommend Heron & Kevin Kirby as your pest control technician. I do not think you d be unhappy with his work!

I just needed to post about my positive experience with Heron Homes for my pest control. Jesus Rivera is my wonderful tech. He always calls to give me an eta so I can either be there or text him about any issues Ive noticed since he was last here or anything I feel the need to address for that days treatment. Then when hes finished he lets me know if there were any problem areas discovered, what he did to treat them, and any steps for me as the homeowner to do as follow up. Im relatively new to Florida and all the pests that are local to the climate are new for me. Hes very patient explaining all the nuances of Florida pests and how we can both work together to get the most out of the service.

Technician called to let me know when he was arriving. He checked all sprinklers and replaced a broken head. Gave me a report when he finished and conducted himself professionally.

If any issues come up between regularly scheduled service, they are quick to come out and provide extra treatment for no extra charge. We ve had heron for both pest and lawn service at our house for nearly 10 years. The service has been consistently very good, especially our pest control tech, Lucas Lague, who is super friendly and does a great job every time. They re also good about coming out to address issues between scheduled visits when necessary, like during ant swarm season. The only thing that could be improved is the billing system because I have to pay for the pest and lawn care bills on different schedules, which is a bit inconvenient. Wish they would just bill me each quarter instead of after every visit.

When we moved from DeBary to New Smyrna Beach, I called Heron and was hoping that Charles serviced our area! I was so relieved when Verona told me that he did!!! Charles, is the reason that we chose Heron again at our new house. He is knowledgeable, professional, and communicative. Heron is very fortunate to have him as an employee, and we are just as fortunate to have him as our technician!

Update: Heron Pest Control was out again today and spent four hours treating parts of the foundation and inside that had not shown termite acrivity on their first visit. Jesse did a great job and was very careful to move furniture and other items back once the treatment was done. He was also very cognizant of not upsetting the pups anymore than he needed. Could not have asked for better service ! We had an absolutely horrible swarm of termites invade our home and the entire Heron Team worked miracles and quickly to get this resolved. Keith Piazza was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyound to get his team members here. All of the service people we have had here from Heron were knowledgeable polite on time and thorough. We are extremely happy with Heron and highly recommend them.

I have used Heron for years and I can really say I have the best looking lawn in my neighborhood. I am now a senior and they are getting a little pricey but they are not alone.

We have used Heron for 100% of our home needs from irrigation, lawn, tree/shrub, mosquito, pest control, and termites. They are always on time, professional, and provide clear feedback on how to remedy any issue. They even communicate between their different departments if they identify an issue. I have called a couple of times for a treatment request and they are always happy to assist. We couldnt ask for better total home protection.

Was supposed to have someone come to my home between 4 and 6:00. The person asked if he could come early and I told him no because my husband wanted to be there. The guy told my husband that we did not need to be there for him to come out and look at the lawn. Mind me Ive cameras all around my house that can see in front and behind my home and the sides of my home. This guy called d my husband and told him that he came out to look at our lawn and theres nothing that could be done Mind me I looked at all of my cameras and no car ever pulled up to our home. We do not appreciate being lied to and will definitely not be going through this company

This is an objective evaluation; Heron offers multiple services for the home. I used outdoor lawn, shrub and indoor pest services. Their inside/outside pests service were Perfect! My technician - Jesus was interactive, helpful and very attentive to all my questions, concerns and needs. I hated leaving his care. On another note, the staff at Heron are very friendly, they return calls and speak with you about your problems. The issue is the results. I contacted them over a series of months trying to get them to address lawn fungus. After eight months of phonecalls, promises and the like, I canceled their services. Again, I had great success with their pest control services, less so with their lawn care.

Brandon Rodriguez is a very kind and very work worthy individual , he takes his time and has proper training and works at a professional level we love him.

I signed on with this company in March of this year (2020). I have the termite, pest control, and lawn maintenance service with them. I also use a professional landscaper for maintaining the lawn. I noticed the grass was turning yellow so i called them in early Oct, and at the advice of my landscape guy, asked them if they could apply the winter treatment early. They patched me through a tech and they guy said I was not due until early Nov but he would come out this month (oct) as well as Nov. No one came out or called me until i called them in late Nov. They told me that tech had quit ( i guess no one took over his work assignments?) and they would have a manager call me. The manger called me about a week later (not the next day) and he finally came out to inspect and take a sample. He left and never advised what next steps were. I called in today and was told a tech would be coming out to apply lime. The young lady had an attitude and was indifferent and did not apologize for any of the level of service nor missing the quarterly treatment all together. I asked for a free application, was denied, and then cancelled the lawn maintenance part of the service for me. I will probably replace the pest control as well and leave the termite since it is really just a type of insurance and does not depend so much on their service (regular visits). I dont know if im being harsh but i figured this company was expensive to sign on and the lawn (which is properly watered and cared for) is worse than we started, and they are not consistent or professional.

For such a well known company I am very dissatisfied and disappointed on the lack of professionalism and communication . A tech had used too much chemical on our brand NEW 6 month St Augustine sod and killed ALL of our front and side lawn. Horrified but very ,very(too patient) with Heron I requested our sod be replaced . After a month with poor communication from the manager (lack of calls backs ) we got new sod that was replaced by Heron . I had to speak and request for someone higher up to update us on what s going on. No form of apology what so ever for ruining our original sod!! . I made daily notes EVERY time I called which was every other day for a timeline when the sod would be replaced . The office supposedly notified the supervisor and we NEVER got any response from the manager for weeks!! Unacceptable.. I had several concerns that I wanted to be heard and the manager NOR supervisor took the time to respond . I m left now with a very hefty water bill to nourish our newly placed sod (again) . I would be NEVER recommend Heron .

Bad company. Do not do business with. Your grass will look like this after spending 2 years of waisting your money with this jokers. They dont know what theyre doing.

I must give a shout out to our tech Jonathan! We had black fungus which took over our front yard! I was freaking out out as I pride myself in keeping up a beautiful yard! We have been using Heron for our lawn care needs for a few years now and we are totally happy with everything that they do. Our yard is looking so much better since they have taken it over and they address each yard issue at every visit. I had the lawn service for over a year, for past few times I had been seeing weeds and brown spots in the grass, I asked them to send someone to look at the grass and talk to me about the issues i was seeing, no one called back they always said someone will contact us, Finally I decided to hold the last payment until someone calls me. every time they called for bill reminder I told them that i needed a supervisor to come out they never did. Then they had the audacity to put my account in collections.They do not followup or stand by the satisfaction guarantee they claim. Worst lawn service company I had the displeasure to deal with

Huge waste of time! Heron Home & Outdoor are unwilling to send out a Technician who can provide an estimate and complete the job on site! They only send out an estimate representative. A separate appointment must be made in order to have a job completed. Very inconvenient.

Foolish to believe what I was told by the Heron salesmen. Should never left my old service it was far better then this. They tell you that they treat in between treatments if necessary. I called for this in between treatment as Im watching my grass die. A week later and after being told twice they would be here to treat, nothing, no treatment and no phone call. Still no one here and at 430 PM on Friday was told that I cannot speak to anyone until Monday. Huge mistake giving this place a hundred dollars.

02/08/17 Heron Home and Outdoor in Oviedo called last week to let me know my service person Kevin Kirby would arrive at my home for maintenance today. I usually request an appointment and we arranged for 11am. Kevin arrived on time and removed his shoes as he usually does before he comes inside. I took a packet of bugs out of my freezer and showed him what I found around my home recently. He identified a silverfish, American roach nymph, acrobat ant, and slug. After I explained where in my home I found these bugs, Kevin treated each area. He then treated the garage and exterior property. Kevin is always very thorough in his work. Sheila Green 08/15/17 Kevin arrived at 11:00am. I took a packet of bugs out of my freezer (a few roaches and an ant) and explained where I found each. He recognized each bug, sprayed around outside, and gave special attention to the garage and screened porch where I found the bugs. Warned me Id see dead bugs soon. Kevin was very efficient as usual.
