They have a good plan for fertilizing and are specific to your needs. They are overall very helpful. I like that we have contact with the guys that run the company. They keep my lawn looking nice and healthy and I feel like they care about individual customers. Highly recommend them.

This is an AITA kind of post. If after reading this you think I am or that Im just being unreasonable, keep it to yourself. I am simply posting this as a warning for others who may want to utilize their services. And away we go! I used this lawn care service back in June for a one-time mow since I was moving and needed it done quickly. After calling multiple times (which probably should have been a red flag), I finally got in touch with someone to make an appointment. I made an appointment for that Saturday. I wait all day Saturday and no one shows up. No one even bothered to call or message me to inform me they would not be able to cut my yard. I give them until Monday afternoon and call again. I had to leave a message, and still, no one ever returned my call. At that point, I just figured no one was coming at all. Wednesday rolls around and here comes Action Lawn and Yard bright and early. No warning, no call, no message. They didnt even bother to come to the door to say anything. It was literally a cut and run. As of today, it is September 18 and the first day I received a call from them asking me to pay them an unknown amount of money. Mind you, I never received a call, text, or even an email with an invoice until I asked for one today. I explained this to them and told them I was willing to pay if they took off $40 from the total. I dont feel that was completely unreasonable considering the aforementioned situation. Even with them admitting they dropped the ball throughout this whole ordeal, they are still wanting me to pay the full amount. They even had the audacity to tell me that I could have cancelled since they didnt show up on my scheduled day. I had to laugh at that because not only did I obviously still need my yard cut, but since they dont bother answering the phone or returning calls, that seemed a little counterintuitive. Now that my rant is over, I hope they decide to work something reasonable out with me, because again, Im willing to pay, but it will need to be a discounted amount. I wish this company nothing but success but this has just been bad business on their part. Id like to add that while this company is trying to save face by trying to speak untruths, Ill set the record straight once and for all. No voicemail was ever left to apologize, which if it was I would have stated that. I have no dog in this hunt to make up anything, as it isnt in my character to do so. I have proof that the only call I received was today and that the first voicemail, was also today. As for having the wrong email, they claim to have called me (which they didnt), so why didnt they clarify that then? As for their latest message, why would they agree to cut me a deal at $170 if I took the review down, if they did nothing wrong? It seems as though this business has done this in the past in order to continue to conduct less than savory business. If they want to play this game, Im more than happy to play, as I am competitive and enjoy winning. I also keep my receipts and can provide screenshots of all messages and the lack of voicemails that they claim to have left, as I never delete anything.

I was in a bad position with my lawn care company and James took the time to do a full review, and he gave very thorough, helpful advice. He is clearly educated in what he does and he gave me his time expecting nothing in return. This would be a great, reputable, local company to trust with your yard!

I was on Zachs route today and I had a chance to speak with him before he left, and he said I had one of the top five lawns of all the lawns he sees. Zach does an amazing job making sure that the treatments Ive contracted with Action Lawn and Yard are properly applied and he answers all my questions about how to take care of my lawn after each treatment. I am very happy with Zachs service and the care and attention he puts into his work.

Action lawn is an amazing lawn and yard service! We have used them for years for all of our fertilizing, aerating and sprinkler needs and they have always done an excellent job. Recently we had them come out and do a yard cleanup for us. We had a crazy amount of leaves everywhere in our yard, and the Action Lawn team did an amazing job getting ALL of it cleaned up even the area behind our shed and outside of our back fence! Our yard looks wonderful! I highly recommend Action Lawn to anyone looking for a yard care service!!

They did an excellent job updating my park strip!

These guys converted a long park strip to be grassless for me last November for a reasonable price, and did a nice job. The sprinklers were already off when they did this work, so we didnt check for leaks. When turning on my sprinklers this week, I noticed that there was a lot of water coming up from under the new rocks. It was easy to get ahold of them and they came out quickly, rapidly identified and fixed the issue for free. Shoutout to Dylan for getting it done so quickly!

I reached out to Action to get some yard maintenance and sprinkler work done. They replied to me within a few hours, we formed a game plan, and scheduled someone to check out my sprinklers. JJ called me in the morning, when I was unable to answer, but he stopped by a few hours later to see if we had time to get the work done -- I am super appreciative of this, because he was able to get our work done very quickly. JJ was super friendly and knowledgeable, he fixed something that I was not even aware of, and helped set some proactive measures to ensure my lawn could start healing faster.

My very first experience with Action was great, they did an amazing job. The second time they came out, I thought everything was going to be just like the first time. Instead, I found our sidewalk lights strewn across the yard, thrown into a corner, broken and missing. Had the crew come to the door to say something or even show us that they accidently broke something, that would have been fine. Instead, I couldnt find the glass bulb light (I originally -had- 2) anywhere. 3 of my solar lights were smashed and had to be thrown away and the others were left in a pile behind a snow shovel. I found this all myself when I noticed things were missing. When I called and left a voice mail to ask about what happened to the lights, I left a voice mail but never received a call back until it was time to collect payment. I was told someone would reach out to me about the lights when I brought it up. Dylan texted me and was unprofessional, asking for pictures about the lights his crew supposedly broke. I paid my bill in full and will absolutely never use this company again. Edit in response: We didnt pay you because we were trying to figure all this out and you were not being very communicative. Ive paid on time on past jobs that you did for me for $500+, the payment wasnt the issue. Constantly getting attitude and me being treated like Im lying or trying to pull something when all I wanted was someone to own up to breaking my property and apologize. Super disappointing. You wanted pictures, you have them. I had lights before your crew came and now I dont have them. Its not worth going back and forth with you when Im being told that doesnt sound like the crew and that they supposedly broke stuff when its obvious my lights were wrecked. I dont know what happened to this company, you used to be do great work and had fantastic customer service. Now, it seems like the work is half a**ed, things are getting broken and when its brought up, you get attitude. You can try to save face in the Google review replies, but we both know what happened and how you treated me.

Have been using them for years. Good value quality and work. Take good care of my sprinkler system. Good landscaping, always responsive when we have issues. Would give them 5 stars if they had online payments, currently have to mail checks in like it s the 1990s. They do good work so I put up with the archaic billing system. At least they ve started sending invoices by email. Update: yes they indeed moved to automated billing which is great!

James, Just wanted to say thank you for another year of excellent service. This was our 10th season with your company. Up until this year we only had your crew mow the lawn and we did the edging and trimming. This year we had you mow, edge, trim and fertilize. I dont think our lawn has ever looked so good. Dont know what you have in your fertilizer but the grass looked greener and healthier than it ever did with Trugreen/Chemlawn. Thank you for being so reliable and communicative. We had them clean up our flowerbeds and install rock and mulch, they also fixed broken drip line. They did an awesome job! They communicated with us frequently to make sure our vision was met, Armando the team lead was a perfectionist and made sure it was done right! They worked hard and cleaned up like they were never here! The crew chief was nice and cooperative and made sure we were happy with every step! Price was what we expected. Had a small patch of land that they were able to de-weed, de-soil, and replace with weed prevention fabric and rocks of my choosing and the whole process only took about 1.5-2 hours. They were in and out quick and did an amazing job.

No call, no show. Don t waste your time waiting on this company. Booked our yard, then got them a neighbor s yard. Talked to salesman day of service for a time frame. Time frame came and went. Of course nobody called to explain and nobody answered calls, texts or emails. We get it, stuff happens, breakdowns, employee issues, etc, but communicate with your customers! Lost our business.

Ive used Action Lawn and Yard for a few years now and they do a great job. I could not keep the weeds out of my flower beds and spent hours weeding and spraying various chemicals to keep it under control, but with only moderate luck. Jim and Craigs have a treatment that worked well for my yard here in Sandy. The yard is cut regularly on time and the flower beds are clear of weeds. Im very happy with the service.

We hired this company initially just for lawn care but discovered they do much more such as yard clean up which includes pruning/trimming, digging out plants, removing all leaves, and leaving all beds clear of debris. I have been using this landscape company for over 15 years. I have a huge hedge that is beast and they keep it beautiful. I have had them replace most of lawn with water wise planting and stone. Walkways, dry stack retaining walls. Every spring I have Action tune my sprinkler system. No problem, Always cheerful and what is most important they listen to what I ask and are always punctual. They were out just last week and pruned a big old apple tree. Great Job

Great locally owned company! I have been using Action Lawn and Yard for 5 years now and they are fantastic. I tried 4 other lawn services before them and was always dissatisfied. I use action for lawn treatments, care of my entire sprinkler system, weekly lawn service and fall cleanup. They respond within 24 hours for any sprinkler or plumbing problem and are responsible with my two dogs who are usually outside. I never give 5 star reviews , but this company deserves it.

Action lawn and yard do a great job at my little business In Murray. It s a challenge for them because it s a doggy B and B so they can t just come into the yard and mow. They need to work with us to make sure we get all the dogs in the house and then they go out to mow. We appreciate their accommodating our specific needs!

Action Lawn and Yard is doing a phenomenal job. For years I tried to do the fertilizing and weed treatments on my own, and I struggled mightily While I kept telling myself that I enjoyed the work and being out in the yard, in hindsight it was a burden, and the results were not good. During those same years my wife kept telling me to hire someone to do the heavy lifting, and I finally listened. I started using Action last spring, signing up for the 6 lawn only treatments for the year program. I also had Action core aerate the lawn twice last year, once in the spring and again in the fall. My lawn never looked better, so I signed up again this year. I am now able to spend a couple hours per week piddling around in the lawn and taking care of the flower beds, and it s an absolute joy instead of a chore. They did an amazing job on my yard! I was in a bind and needed my leaves cleaned up before the first snow storm in December. I called last minute with literally hours to spare before the snow hit. They arrived right away and cleared up the leaves from every part of the yard. Literally every part! It looked so good. They were fast and at an awesome price. I will always use them for my yard needs and will continue recommend them to anyone.

Woke up to lawn guy cutting bushes onto my car. His response was he would use a leaf blower to blow it off my car.... As opposed to sorry for cutting bushes onto your car... I mean, blasting sticks accross my paint after already being disrespectful enough to cut it on my car... these guys care little about their job.

They send incompetent workers to your house and when you have a complaint about their service they send you nasty emails.
