The crew did a great job trimming a row of my neighbor's trees that had branches hanging over a run-off stream and my yard. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The crew also removed several large piles of sticks and branches that I have collected over the past year. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves - no mess was left behind. I’ve contracted Antietam tree for many years for tree pruning and tree spraying. Recently, Antietam Tree safely removed a huge 80 year old cherry tree from my backyard. The tree was diseased and leaning toward the house. The crew climber was obviously a seasoned professional who took the tree down piece by piece. The crew cleaned up the branches and stacked the fireplace length logs. I felt comfortable that Antietam Tree is fully insured. I expected the cost to be high because of Antietam Tree’s reputation. The quote was fair and competitive. I have good reason to recommend Antietam Tree to anyone needing tree work or tree spraying.
We hired Antietam Tree & Turf to remove a 60 foot tall oak tree from our back yard. The tree was positioned in such a way that any attempt at removal risked damaged several homes and wires in my area of Hagerstown. Antietam and a crane from Hull's Crane Service arrived in the morning and got started. The tree was removed in pieces and taken down over the course of the day. It was amazing to watch. By about 3 p.m. the tree was completely removed. Several large logs were removed with several more removed later. They did an incredible job with their work. They cleaned up the yard at the end and everything looked great.
Last year, I called four different tree service companies in the Hagerstown area; after receiving two estimates and a request by one of the service providers to write the contract myself (I didn't), I went back to Antietam Tree & Turf and requested to negotiate. We agreed on a price and they came out and took down two Ash trees. I called them back and requested an estimate on tree maintenance for 8 other trees close to the house and summer cook house; they came out in February and trimmed/pruned trees that hadn't been touched in decades. I was very impressed, both times with the professionalism and impressive knowledge of the on-site supervisor/lead. Additionally, the equipment is very impressive; this company has invested in quality people and tools. I captured several pictures and videos while they worked; I must add that their focus on safety is superlative. Efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. Thank you!
We had Antietam Tree & Turf remove trees from our property. The estimate, service and follow-up was nothing but first class. The employees who removed the trees were extremely professional, and cognisant of our neighbor's property too. Once the work was completed, they checked to see if it was done to our satisfaction. We highly recommend this business as they certainly made a positive difference in the aesthetic value of our property.
We have had Antietam Tree Service remove (4) trees from our yard on (2) separate occasions. Both times we called, we had great service from the office. Roger Finn came out and gave us an accurate assessment and contract. The crews were safe, efficient, and did a awesome job. We would not call anyone else and highly recommend them.

The lovely tree in our yard began showing signs of distress with algae, splitting trunk, falling and weak branches, and more. Weve never had a tree removed and really didnt know what to do. By chance, my husband found Antietam. Once we made our decision (after consulting with Randy) we scheduled removal. Two young men showed up and proceeded to remove the tree (honestly, we thought they looked too young to really get the job done right) . But, these two guys were the ultimate professionals!! They took the tree down, ground the stump, cleaned up the debris, and leveled the ground. Wow!! Thanks so much Antietam.
I reached to this company to have 3 stumps removed. Not only it took them several weeks to come by for an estimate but once we decided to move forward with the stump removal we have been waiting several weeks to have it done. Havent heard back since May 18 I ended up canceling service and moving forward with another company that was responsive and can do service in about a week. I am very disappointed as this company has fair reviews and that was the reason I reached out. Poor communication poor customer service

Had my cat stuck in a 50 tree. I started calling a bunch of places even resorting to calling the fire dept. Everywhere I called they told me the cat would come down on his own and they didnt want to send anyone and risk their employees. On the forth day I called Antietam Tree & Turf after calling most of the tree companies in the area. These guys are my heroes. They told me they had to finish their jobs for the day and they would try to send someone when they could. Just a few hours later two very professional gentleman met me and pulled my cat out of the tree. Very nice and professional and the only decent people in this town that will care about your cat. 10/10

After several estimates for removing some damaged trees, I chose to go with Anteitam. I was initially concerned because the crew that showed up was unprofessional and argumentative regarding what work was actually being done. I called the office and a different crew came out the next week and made it right. I really appreciated how easy they were to get ahold of and their willingness to make sure the job got done.
The crew was very polite and knowledgeable. They took pride in their work and how the finished product would appear. If there were any concerns the lead on the job would discuses them with me before proceeding. It also helped that he and I have about the same sense of hummer. I will differently use Antietam again when the need arises.
I have to tell everyone again that Antietam Tree and Turf is the best because yesterday I went to see them and unfortunately they were closed but low and behold Mr. Finn was pulling out possibly to go home and he asked me if he could help me and I said that I wished to see Randy and he said that he was out of town so I told him that I simply wanted to buy a good rake like their men use. and he got out of his car and took the time to open his office and go and get me one which I simply couldn t believe how incredibly considerate they all are at Antietam Tree for doing things for their customers.

I was very happy with every aspect of my service. Every person I spoke to was very professional. They also were respectful of both me and my property. I called 5 tree companies to have a tree removed from my property line. Only 2 even responded. Antietam was the first to respond and the only one to come out and give me an estimate. They replied to my original call within 3 days. They also had the shortest lead time of the 2 companies that called me back which was 3 weeks. The estimator easily answered every question I had and submitted an estimate to me in writing by mail. His professionalism got Antietam the job and the crew they sent out was spectacular also. They greeted me by name and introduced themselves. They asked if they could pull their truck into the grass near the tree before they did it. They were safe and quick doing their job. The second truck to remove the tree also asked before pulling into my grass. He was also skilled and made the tree pickup look easy. I feel like I could not have gotten a better tree service. I tell anyone and everyone that asks about my tree removal about my experience. A final note: I was also expecting a faster call back from the 5 tree professionals that I called, but that doesnt seem to be the industry standard. To those who are complaining about the wait for a response in the other reviews: I SAY ANTIETAM WAS WORTH THE WAIT!! Dont even call those other guys.
Same as other guy terrible communication I couldnt even get someone to come out a give me an estimate for my tree I called back and said I never heard back and the said that the estimator should get back to me by the end of the week and never heard back
Very poor communication and when I eventually spoke with Bob, he was very short and didnt seem to care that he was loosing a customer due to poor communication on HIS part. I hope hes not the owner.
