Horrible CROOKED SCAM business charged me despite closing the account called 10 times now with the promise of a credit back never a call back dont think a supervisor even exists there. They will not call you back. DO NOT HIRE THEM. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. They are liars and crooks there.

Terrible Communication and cannot keep their word. I hired Aplus to do aeration and overseeing for the first time this fall. They started off promising coming when they said they would. However they only completed the aeration and updated the portal to say they d do the overseeing on the following Monday. Monday came, when the technician arrived they saw that the aeration had been done and promptly left without validating if the overseeing had been done. I had to call numerous times, I was advised twice someone would come when no one showed up. I finally complained to the owner, Mark, who promised me they d come and redo the whole job first thing the next morning. Once again no one showed up. I will never work with Aplus again, if even the owner can t keep a promise there s no hope for the rest of the company.

I have been amazed by the professionalism of the people who have been helping my lawn. However, I had my mower serviced at the beginning of the season and my mower has lost parts and it is now blowing out blue smoke. I have notified the company but have not heard from them. I need to mow my yard but am afraid to further damage the mower.

An A+ specialist came out to treat my yard for a mole infestation. He seemed very knowledgeable and was easy to talk to. He went about his business and took care of the problem.

A+ did a lawn aeration for us last week. Randy and his co-worker did a very good job and A+ was fair in the cost of the work. We were very satisfied.

Ollie is a very personable gentleman and he did an excellent job winterizing my sprinkler system.

There were some spots in my lawn from some of their equipment and they did a great job of filling them in and seeding them. Daniel did an excellent job!

Disrespectful behavior twords neighbors of people you work for is unacceptable. On any level. Again! Despite unsecured brush being scattered on the interstate (I-80), Ive seen several times from your trucks. A crew came to aerate a yard of a friend. They threw her sprinklers in her Hostas, moved a ladder into a neighbors driveway, spent maybe ten minutes aerating the yard with quarter inch (half inch max) plugs missing huge areas. I dont even know what they paid for this job which was not worth one penny aeration should be at minimum 1 1/2 in.

The technian did a great job. Hes very patient when I ask my questions and give me great answers. Wait, we need more texts like this in our world. Thank you, Nick did a great job for me.

Contacted A+ with concerns on my lawn. They provided prompt same day service. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue and provide recommendations for how to correct the problem.

Their customer service rep isn t very friendly and seemed like I was putting her out when asking about how I can verify if someone came to my house and performed the service I prepaid for? I received a text several days ago stating my scheduled appointment is for Sept 4 (today) and as of 4:00pm I don t see any evidence that someone showed up. Talking with the lady she stated my house is scheduled for Friday the 6th. I explained that my text shows the 4th and never received a text stating the change. From there I heard a sigh with several seconds of silence. Finally I spoke and said I guess I will wait until Friday. I then got an immediate Have a nice day!

The people who work here lack communication skills. Don t know how to do their jobs and waste your time. I don t recommend what so ever.

The lady I spoke with was absolutely awesome, and funny! I didnt catch her name but she was very helpful in re-scheduling our appointment. Its much appreciated!

***UPDATE 9/16/2024*** The seemingly helpful response from A+ to this review is misleading. After I posted this review and received that response requesting that I call, I call the number given (which is just their general customer service number). I spoke with CS rep, who was not able to resolve my issue and said that an upper level manager would call me, but, no, I could not speak to them now, and, no, she couldnt tell me when they would call. At this same time, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Initially, A+ responded to the complaint with, Unfortunately, for 14 days, that pipe held and didnt cause you to lose water. After 14 days, the pipe gave way and used some water. We do not reimburse for water loss when after 14 days, it worked perfectly fine. When I responded back that they gave the wrong dates, and that I noticed the leak in less than 14 days, A+ responded Even after 8 days, we cant cover this as it held for 8 days. Bear in mind, there is no policy provided in writing or on A+s website listing the length of time they will guarantee their work. What is clear is that A+ will say or do anything to avoid paying for their mistakes. I have canceled all services with A+ and strongly advise against others doing business with them. ***ORIGINAL REVIEW*** I have been a customer of A+ Lawn and Landscape for several years. However, in 2024 I have had several negative experiences and a situation that is still unresolved. I have made every attempt to clear up the problems directly with A+ via phone and email over the last three months without success. As of this writing (9/2/2024) I have not received a response to my multiple calls and emails to multiple levels of A+ staff and management. In summary, my experience in 2024 is: 1) poor workmanship, 2) lack of customer service, and 3) management indifference. Detailed timeline. 5/19/2024 - an A+ technician came out to activate the system for the year. During the process, he discovered damage to the backflow caused by improper shutdown by an A+ tech in October 2023. He attempted to repair the system for over an hour, but did not have the parts and/or expertise to complete the repair. System remained off. I called A+ customer service to schedule a repair. 5/31/2024 - an A+ sprinkler manager came and replaced the cracked backflow repair at no cost to me. Sprinkler system activated. 6/8/2024 - I discovered a major leak due to a crack in the PVC pipe entering the replaced backflow. At the point the leak was discovered, water was spraying against the side of the house, partially filling up a basement window well, and reduced water pressure throughout the house. I shut down the system. I filled out an emergency contact form on A+ website on 6/8 (a Saturday) that was never responded to. I called A+ customer service to schedule a repair. 6/13/2024 - the same A+ sprinkler manager came back and repaired the damaged PVC, again at no charge. Sprinkler system was turned back on, as of this writing (9/2/2024) it has run without issue. 7/5/2024 - after receiving the water bill from my local utility company, I called A+ customer service seeking compensation for 12,000 gallons of water that had been used by the faulty backflow repair. The A+ customer service representative instructed me to send my request and the bill to a specific email address at A+. I emailed later the same day, which included attachments of the water bill and a photo of water shooting out of the cracked pipe entering the backflow. *Original details omitted for length*

Our weed problems that I have tried to eradicate myself for years are virtually gone, because of the careful and consistent procedures that A+ uses. Our lawn looks the most lush and green it ever has since we moved to our home. Thank you A+ Lawn & Landscape.

Cristy did an outstanding job at taking care of my needs regarding my account at A+. She is extremely focused, and very professional with her responses with myself as a customer and A+ is fortunate to have her as an employee.

I was a client for a year and said I only wanted it for a year. I payed in full at the beginning. After the year ended, they still kept on coming and charging me. I called them about it and they said it was still paid for. Two weeks later I get a email from collectors agency saying I have a debt with them. Called them again and they told me a have a debt for over a month. Bad communications for a sub par job.

Be careful hiring this company for lawn service. I did not renew for the following year due to absolutely no change in my yard. They came back out and started this year even though I replied to their message and told them not to. Once I contacted their customer service to ensure cancelation, I was issued a credit for that first service. 4 months later I recieved a letter from a lawyer taking me to small claims court for an overdue bill. They dont listen to your needs when you hire them, they dont listen when you tell them you dont want service, and they dont honor their own promises of crediting your account. BUYER BEWARE!!

20 yrs ago A+ created a beautiful patio, retaining wall & steps going to our lower garden. Fall 2023, we decided to have the patio reset & steps redone due to the natural shifting of the ground. We asked if it was possible to reuse any of the pavers & blocks that were in good condition. We were told yes theyd reuse any pavers/blocks that were in good condition. We werent told that they wouldnt provide a warranty or any guarantee for any work that utilized existing materials. What a missed opportunity! A+ could have been upfront w/us & explain that thered be no warranty for materials that were reused. We would have purchased all new materials & A+ would have made more money & wed actually be happy w/the finished project. 5 of the blocks used on the steps are still loose. 2 of those blocks are new blocks, 3 blocks were reused from the original project. Technicians did come out a couple times to reglue the blocks but it never stuck. The days they came were all rainy days. For any future A+ projects, I suggest that they send out someone experienced to give a quote. We were never given a call ahead to let us know when they were going to show up to work on the project. Even though the landscape architect assured us that wed get a call 24hrs before. We have a ravine that made it convenient for the workers to dump left over gravel & scraps of concrete block into. I couldnt believe that the workers would utilize our ravine in this way. Next Spring we plan to have the steps redone by another landscape company.

Nic and his trainee did a great job aerating our lawn today. They even swept off the sidewalks when done.

My husband scheduled a full tune up for our lawn mower. No air filter change, no oil change, no carbetuator clean out. Worse experience ever! Have not been able to start since person cleaned the deck, underside and maybe sharpen the blade. Who knows ? When called to find out what was done... couldnt tell us. 100 bucks for nothing !

Not an honest company to do business with. Bought some used equipment from them and was mislead on condition of the equipment. Once the issues were found the company would not work with me on resolving the issue.

* Ive changed the rating on my review as one of the managers reached out and removed the $155 charge and asked what they could do. There wasnt much else and I believe this all could have been avoid with better communication, but I will give the company props for reaching out after I posted the review and making at least part of it right. Poor service and poor communication. I had A+ winterize our irrigation system. I then had them came back out to start up the sprinkler system and conduct a backflow test, upon their arrival, they noticed a crack in the backflow preventer within 2 minutes of arriving. Therefore, the test could not be done and the system could not be turned on. When I asked what could cause this, the technician mentioned water in the system, from not being blown out correctly. I then informed him, that A+ is the one who conducted that service. For the 2 minutes it took to spot the crack, they charged me $155, which I found to be unreasonable, especially since they provided the winterization service. I wrote and email and spoke to a representative to dispute this charge and was informed they would look into it. That was nearly 3 weeks ago and I have heard nothing and just got an email today about being charged an extra 1.5% because its 20 days past due.

I had A+ come out to start up our irrigation system. The appointment was set up well in advance and the service worker actually was ahead of schedule (which was no issue). The work was done efficiently and quickly. No fuss, no muss! The service worker was polite and very professional. Also, the rates for start up are very competitive for the Des Moines area! Im very happy.

Received very poor service from the office trying to resolve a credit owned to me for services I paid in advance. It feels like it should be an easy request but has been a very frustrating experience. I have spoken to several people at this point and have not found anyone who seems to care enough to help me get this resolved. Still working on it and I will be finding a new lawn company next year.

I have not used Aplus for a service yet. However, in this world of no return calls from service businesses Aplus answers every time and sets you up for an estimate immediately. This is my second project I have asked them to give me an estimate on. If they re in the market price range I will use their service to install an irrigation system. Just nice to have good follow-up. A + Lawn & Irrigation performed my annual irrigation backflow system check. My old system didnt pass the test. Service technician Jayton went above and beyond to assist me with the replacement process. He called a plumbing company for me and gave them all the relevant information to set up my new system. Thank you Jayton, for being the best service technician in town!

Absolutely awful company from the people in the office to the technicians, I had one of their technicians approach my vehicle with the windows down and sprayed chemical all over the interior and as I approached to get him to stop he continued to spray even though I was waving my arms and yelling sprayed me as well Ive been trying to get a hold of the company several times have left messages and nobody wants to return my call to see what they want to do about it did you get my car cleaned out, would highly recommend using any other company than them! Unless youre fine with your you and your family being sprayed with chemical and the interior of your vehicle, also the technicians backpack that he was spraying with was leaking all down his a$$ seems like they need some better equipment

We prepaid to get our rider and push mower tuned up and we never hear from them. I called to see when they were doing it they said May 7th. It s May 7 and we never heard from them. Called to see if they were coming the person said we didn t respond to the text if it would work. I said my husband and I never got a text. She got them to come out today but to our disappointment they only did the rider. Called and they escalated to supervisor Nate who I have yet to hear from. So I called again to see why I hadn t heard from him they forwarded me to go voicemail. This part of their business there is a disconnect. We had to call last year to even get us on the books. They get a lot of money in the beginning and the lack of concern for an unhappy customer is not ok. There is a lot of lawn care businesses out there we may have to look at someone else. Just because of the situation.

Would out 0 stars if I could. I was a client of A+ Lawn for 1 year between 2022 and 2023. In spring of 2023 I called and told them to stop servicing my lawn, I wished to cancel my service with them. Began receiving bills, I have no idea if they actually serviced my lawn or not, but bills showed up, so I emailed their sales manager, service email, and front desk in capital letters asking to be removed entirely from their CRM software and remove any bills, I had not asked for any service. I had to do this again spring of 2024 as more bills showed up, I called and asked to be removed, again. May of 2024 I now receive a bill again and another letter from a debt collector saying I am delinquent on paying bills to them for a service I cancelled and told them I no longer wanted to receive!!!!! I called their office again and sternly asked for a manager, after being sent to voicemail I called back and told them not to hang up again and was told I was being rude!!!!! Dont come within 50 miles of this business, they cant do the easy stuff right, let alone my lawn looked like crap, which is why stopped service.

As a sponsor of Cyclone Fanatic, I reached out to A+ Lawn and Landscape for lawn care. They came out and sprayed for weeds. That was fine. When they brought out the aerator, it tore up the lawn (big chunks of grass/sod ripped out). They left a note after they were finish saying the machine acted up and that they threw down some seed where the lawn was torn up. (If it acted up once, why keep using it?) Unsatisfied with the quality of the work, I called A+ to have a supervisor come out. When the supervisor was here, he assured me that the places where the chunks of sod were ripped out would eventually level out. Fall and winter came and went. The snow has all melted. The chunks did not level out. There is a place in my backyard that is completely lumpy and uneven due to their negligence. I expected a lot from this company and was let down. I would definitely not give them an A+.

They are very professional and when I called last minute they were right there. They always give me great information and options. The office staff and the everyone who has been here have been very helpful and personable and I can t tell you how much I appreciate them all.

We payed for only the front lawn to be sprayed, but the workers decided to jump the fence and spray the backyard as well. Most of the time I wouldnt mind extra service for free, but my dog has been up all night vomiting and has diarrhea. There was a vehicle in the driveway, because I work at home, but there was no knock, just some incompetent worker who should be fired.

I have no issues with the service I was provided, but last season, and then again this season, they cant seem to get their billing system correct. After every application, I have to email their customer service to get my account corrected. I tried pre paying last year and pay as you go this year, same problems. If you like to chat with a CS department that cant read their system and are more than happy to cancel your account without trying to solve the problem, then sign up. If you dont want to spend your time trying to get things fixed, I suggest you look at a different company.

They dont know how to treat there employees

I have used the organic program for the past two years. My yard has continued to improve, both in appearance and health. A+ has good customer service and is responsive to specific concerns. I will continue to use this service and recommend A+ to others.

Their snow clearing crews are dangerous and reckless. One of their crews was clearing a commercial property on the outskirts of downtown DSM and were flying around the parking lot, including up to blind corners where through traffic has the right of way. When you re plowing snow at near-street speeds in a small parking lot area, you re begging for a crash, which would cost a hefty sum of money to resolve. Their crews would be wise to slow the heck down and realize that when they re clearing snow during operating hours, they re going to encounter other vehicles on commercial properties.

Several times have had conversations with tech about methods of applicalication. Seems like they are under guidelines about how fast they complete your yard resulting in poor job performance.

They have fallen off a cliff, you can find much better service and prices at many other places in the metro. I talked to people on the phone, left VM, even reached someone via email, yet no one could help reschedule a time that worked for me. They would only communicate when I canceled the service when I found someone else for irrigation. They didnt even show up for the sharp n lube, even after calling to confirm late in the day that they still would be there. Still no communication if they were going to come on another time or reschedule. I recommend just figuring out how to change the oil on your rider yourself, its not hard.

Phil Hummel was very knowledgeable. They say if you know one thing really well, its better than knowing a little about many things. Phil is brilliant at mowers and serving. A+ is not just the name its the effort your people put into your work.

Company waited too long and shut my irrigation down AFTER it froze last year. They expect the customer to pay for it even though it s their fault. Customer service horrible. On top of that they are more expensive than most. Do yourself a favor and probably go with any other company. Their response below about making things right is a sham also. I called a week ago and no response.

After signing up, I did not receive replies to my questions that were complete & understandable . Very frustrated! But then I had a pleasant experience talking with Darin Drake (I talked to him in the beginning, but others got into the mix & muddied the waters). I had a lot of questions and I found him to be patient and willing to spend time explaining and answering my questions about the plan for my lawn. Our most recent conversation did a lot to allay my anxieties about understanding it all. He is the right person to be in such a position. Positive public relations for the company!

I have used them for the last 2 years to come to my house and sharpen and service my push mower. I had an appt for today. I called early afternoon to see approximate time they would be here. Was told 4- 5pm. They never showed and never called. Its now 7:50 pm. You cant get thru on their phone line. Very poor customer service!!!

I saw Chris at a neighbors house. Spoke with him for a few minutes regarding my lawn. He made a call the office and quoted me a great price. Thoroughly explained the processes and what to expect. He then instantly fit me into his schedule and provided great tips for my lawn and pest concerns. Im one happy customer. :)

Mark did a great job! He called to let me know he could come earlier than our scheduled appointment. He was friendly, professional, and was thorough. I give Mark an A+.

They came out to the house to set up our irrigation system. The tech identified that he was unfamiliar with our system and that he would send another technician. He never sent another technician. We called to set up an additional appointment, which then, they no- showed. They are extremely unprofessional. My wife and I both work demanding jobs, and to take time away from work to be available for them is difficult as it is. For them to not show up is extremely frustrating. We will not be using their services again, and I won t be recommending them to others.

We have been stood up at least half a dozen times for work on our irrigation system this spring. And many of these appts. were with management. Never get a follow up call or any sort of communication. Would not recommend.

This company has become a mess the past 2-3 years. Impossible to get accurate appointment times for them. Will take off work to be home when they say theyll be here and then wont be here during that time. They will cancel your appointment because you didnt reply to their text message confirmation. The last straw for us was that they didnt submit our backflow test to the city so we got a late notice for them. Finally done and will be moving on to another company.

I purchased a house that has an irrigation system installed by A+. I couldn t be happier. The plumbing job is exquisite and ties in very well with the side of the house. Definitely recommended!

We have been charged each week for lawn mowing but no one has mowed our lawn. This company has not been returning texts or emails. Since then I want to add that our lawn was cut twice and we complained of poor mowing technique, driving too fast, and cutting too short. Nothing changed so we asked them to skip the next week to let the yard grow a bit yet they came anyway. That day, 23 days ago they put ruts in our yard while mowing and cut it extremely short. We put in a complaint. We are still waiting for A+ to call us back or contact us. My husband or I have called just about every day since. We told them not to come again until we spoke to them yet they still charged us for mowing again when they did not mow. We have been assured Noah will take care of this but he has not returned our calls or emails. They have also not refund us the money for the lawn not being cut last week. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

Be warned, service is auto-enrolled, unless you cancel. I happened to fertilize my lawn s few days before they showed up to do the same, unannounced. Result = fertilizer burn! Lawn is brown and dead. Kept sending me bills for their service .

We contracted with them for our irrigation/sprinkler maintenance including testing and reporting the back flow to Des Moines Water Works as required. They have not reported it (even after multiple calls to them). To date, we have $300.00 in penalties and the next step from the water company is a disconnect notice. When we call A+ they say they had computer problems and will take care of it but they haven t. I do not recommend them and will not use them again.

We receive email alert as to when they are coming. They use auto pay which makes it easier for us to pay them. They do a very good job.

My lawn has never looked better! The A+ team is the best to work with and I look forward to working with them for a long time.

This will be my third summer using A+ lawn and landscaping. They are handling my weed control and mosquito flea and tick from a yard. I call every spring and pay for these two services for the whole year. however, this year, even though I was charged and paid for the entire year every time they come out for service I get a bill is due. I call and have to explain that I have paid. They look it up and then they say oh yes, I see you paid. You don t know us anything. They say they will take care of the issue. however it never gets taken care of. I m constantly getting text messages saying that I am overdue and emails saying that I m past due and service will be suspended. I have called 10 times this year and every time they say they will fix it, but it never gets fixed. This is an absolute headache trying to take care of getting this job done. They have taken my money, but seem to not care about the fact that they are constantly asking me for money I ve already paid them. The first couple times it was just disappointing. Now it s gotten to the point where I feel. The company has gone downhill considerably and the customer service is nonexistent for the most part. I would caution anyone to think twice about whether their money is worth spending it on this type of customer service. I don t plan on using them for service again.

Tired of pulling weeds and dandelions. Last application with no notice given. Customer service seemed indifferent and didnt seem to care . Would not recommend this company.

I cant believe this place actually calls themselves a lawn care business. I tried them this year to take my yard to the next level and it looks worse than it ever has - completely covered in weeds. The first application of the year was supposed to be starter fertilizer for my new grass seed and they put herbicide down instead. Okay, honest mistake (tech completely ignored notes on my account), we found a resolution but still a terrible start. They also promise follow up visits if an application doesnt work or take care of the weeds. I waited a week after my summer application to see if it would kill the crabgrass thats shown up over my entire lawn before I called and asked for a follow up per their recommendation. Ive now waited for 3 scheduled return days over 2 weeks and no call/no show on all 3. Not worth the money and not professional at all. Highly recommend finding someone else if you want your yard to be properly taken care of.

What type of lawn care business would aerate and seed on a 100 degree day with no rain in the forecast. I texted my husband when I saw the truck on our ring doorbell this morning to see if he was contacted that they were planning to come today; and he had not been contacted. This was the first year we hired them for this annual service and most likely will be the last.

Had been using A+ for a couple years now without too much of an issue (a few here and there) but today was unacceptable for too many reasons. We pay annually for their service. A+ came to aerate and overseed our lawn without sending a text message to alert us (we would have told them not to come as its over 100 degrees outside and overseeding should not be occurring in these conditions) even though we are signed up to receive text messages and get them every single time. Additionally and more importantly, they left our gate wide open. We let our dog out when we got home (didnt think to check gates since they didnt inform us they were coming) and noticed that we couldnt find her after a few minutes. Luckily, she had only made it about a block away and is well-trained to come when we call her so we didnt lose her, but this is absolutely unacceptable. We will be cancelling our service after our pre-paid plan is complete.

We have had two different people from this company run over our downspouts in the time we have been with them. They did replace - second time much quicker than the first. The first was a nightmare. I do not recommend using this company for any services!!! Latest - they came out today 8/24/23 for aeration and seeding. This is all after we emailed to cancel our services once we discovered they had (for the second time) crushed one of our downspouts. Hopefully they have stock in a gutter products company - as I m guessing we aren t the only one this has happened to. Our fiber optic internet line is buried in the yard as well. And after they came out today - mind you we had cancelled services - we get home this afternoon to no working internet. While we can t prove right now they caused this - we will know after the internet company comes out and gets us up and running again. Thankfully, our internet provider has much better customer service than A Plus. So frustrating!! This company used to be great. We had used them at a past property. Now they are sub par. 0 out of 5 stars.

Darren was very helpful in getting our aeration/over seeding scheduled. Emailed me the contracts, waited while I signed them and answered my questions, and immediately scheduled the service.

I would a negative star rating if it was an option. Terrible. Never showed up for scheduled aeration and never called. I cancelled the service.

We signed up for prepaid service in June. We were told we could get 5 sprays for the year. We were billed for 6 and paid 6. I called in once I realized we were over billed. We asked for grub control and it took three phone calls over a months time to get the service. We asked for aeration. They came out twice and billed us twice. The service is great but the billing is atrocious. We prepaid $400 and showed a $600 bill still owed online because the prepayment wasn t being applied to our lawn services. I called no less than 15 times trying to get billing resolved over the last two months. Constantly told someone would call me back that day or the next with no return calls. Finally last Friday we got someone who knew what they were doing and applied all necessary credits back and our balance was $0. Yesterday we came home to a collections notice that A+ had hired for a delinquency billing. We have never received a bill in the mail from a+. We cancelled all lawn care service today. Not once have we received an apology.

Worst company I ve ever dealt with.

I signed up for the same service I had last year. Aeration and over seeding was included in price I paid. This year I m being charged for the Aeration and over seeding. When asked why, I was told we go off last years service. If these services were covered last year why would I change it? I ll be looking for a different yard treatment service. .

Blow your damn fertilizer off the curbs and sidewalks. Customers pay for the fertilizer in the lawn not on the concrete.

I have been really disappointed with the prepaid package I paid for with A+ lawn. Had I not proactively stayed on top of the schedule I am not sure they would have told me they missed a lawn application and refunded me. Everytime I called customer service to address or ask questions it was as though they couldn t assist and I had to reach out to the sales guy I set our annual service up with on. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because I have always had a great experience on the irrigation side and really enjoyed working with them from an irrigation standpoint. I just would not recommend them for a lawn care service outside irrigation.

I don t know about their lawn care, but their snow plowing is an absolute joke. I wish zero stars was an option for these doo daa s. The snow plowing was so awful at my apt building that the trash company(another bunch of winners at ASI) refused to pick up our garbage, and it s piled up bad, like 3 times the capacity of the dumpster bad. They should be removing the snow with an end loader and dump truck, but opted to not answer their phones instead. This is what happens when a company promises what is beyond their capabilities. Good luck somewhere else.

Had A+ out for our annual backflow inspection for our irrigation system. We have had them out numerous times before but this time the technician went on an on about things that were not up to code. Say what? How come no one has mentioned these issue during previous visits? What has changed? We called the following day to get more information. Still waiting on a return call.

I had Dave come out and he did a repair on my crushed pipe and torn wire for my irrigation system that was done by American Fencing company when they put in my fence this past winter and Dave was awesome! Very professional and experienced, you can see he knows what he s doing and his customer service was very good I would request him to come and do any maintenance or repairs I ll need in the future always!

Be Careful! When contracting with A+, make very sure that the scope of the work you are requesting is put into writing and that all expectations of said work are clearly spelled out and agreed upon. My elderly mother contracted with A+ to remove a flower bed that contained deeply rooted lilies that were planted decades ago. The work order simply read Backyard Planting Bed Removal . The crew merely scraped off the top layer of soil, replaced that soil, planted grass and covered with straw and mesh. Almost immediately, the deeply rooted lily s re-emerged and began to take over the area. A+ refused to take responsibility for the incomplete work under the rubric that they could not be held responsible for the re-emergence of a perennial. A perennial that is that they were contracted to remove. To add insult to injury, many calls were placed to A+ with no response. Eventually, after pictures of the aggressive re-emergence of the lilies were emailed, A+ responded that they would be happy to quote the use of Round-Up at additional cost to the incomplete project. A+ maintained that to perform the job adequately, they would have needed to excavate more deeply at a greater cost. So, why did they not do just that? That statement in itself constitutes an admission of the shoddy, incomplete work that was performed. An accurate proposal and statement of work would have allowed my mother to assess whether or not the cost was worth the potential result. The vague statement of Backyard Planting Bed Removal did not allow her that opportunity. All the while, A+ was demanding payment for an incomplete job. Eventually, the family advised our mother to pay for the work that was done so as to avoid being sent to collection. It was made clear to A+ that their services would not longer be used to complete the project, nor would their lawn treatment services be used as well. The marginal quality of the lawn services is a story for another day.

We use A+ Lawn & Landscape yearly for our yard maintenance which would include weed control and fertilizer. Our yard looks great. We also have them come about every other year to have my push lawn mower maintained. They do it right in the driveway, and it includes sharpening the blade, tune up and cleaning. Lawn mower starts every time, and for being 8 years old, I couldnt ask for it to do more. Good job A+.

I contacted A+ lawn care which we actually previously in the last two years of done business with regarding our pond. It took them three weeks to return a phone call when I followed up twice actually about just speaking to them. Unfortunately I would not recommend them. Brandon, The Pond Guy is actually amazing and I highly recommend him!

By far the worst company I could have chosen to install my sprinkler system. Save your money and go elsewhere. None of my neighbors will be using A+. Its been months since the system was installed incorrectly and it still doesnt work as it should. Dont expect a call back when you call with issues. Even when they claim to have fixed what is wrong run your system like I did and you will find out that nothing was fixed. Update: Still wont fix the issues with my sprinklers, very disappointing.

Has a great experience the other day with A+. Our new home has a irrigation system already installed and we knew nothing about how it worked. They came in and tested our backflow and sent the info to the city that is required yearly. Then not only made sure everything was on and working but took the time to show me how everything worked.

DO NOT USE THEIR SHARP & LUBE SERVICE FOR YOUR MOWER. They messed up my mower. Took hours for them to call me back and fix the issue. Their lawn service is fine which is why I am going with 3 stars. (See edit) EDIT: the owner replied to this negative review before I got a call from Mark H despite being told last night he would call me today and is second in command. If second in command doesn t care about customer service than clearly the rest of the company doesn t. I was trying to inquire about a refund because after reading other negative reviews I noticed my whole yard was not getting serviced either. Stay away from anything that A+ does. FINAL EDIT: long story short Mark called me at 8:45PM last week to chat. They did honor the same day call like they promised. Mark went out to my yard & noticed the areas I was talking about. He got it re-sprayed and apologized multiple times for the original service of sharp & lube. Going back to 3 as they have shown commitment to resolving the issue

Poor customer service. Had a horrible experience and they fried our grass. They just tried to get the number of services in for the year with no consideration for the lawn condition. After telling them how unhappy we were with their service they continued to service and charge us the next season and would not give a refund. Very unhappy with the poor quality and customer service.

EDIT: One of the owners did contact me the same day I posted this review. He was very apologetic and responsive. He did call me and email me and everything has been reconciled with my account. I have updated my rating, due to his quick responsiveness and he truly wanted to make the situation right. I also, received an email from the Office Manager that everything had been credited on my account and apologized for any inconvenience. I usually do not provide negative feedback, but Ive had so many issues, in such a short amount of time with this company, I am very frustrated. I engaged in weekly lawn care services April 22, 2022. I called on 05/13 to see about having an additional service (weeding/trimming a side embankment on my property), I was told someone would call me within minutes, they didnt, called back in the afternoon, same speech, someone would contact me, they didnt. I called for the 3rd time 05/17, explained no one called me back, I was told the Owner would contact me. Never did. I even sent a Facebook messenger on 05/19, asking if a manager could contact me, I was told the same thing, someone would contact me, NO ONE EVER DID. This is the worst customer service. Finally, on May 21st, I called and completely cancelled my service. On 05/27/22 - this company still came to my house and mowed. I contacted AGAIN, asking, why they were they still doing services for my property, when I cancelled. I was told, it shows my account was cancelled and it was a mistake and I would not be charged. I looked at my account on-line, I had an invoice still to pay for 05/16/22 - I paid it. But, now its showing another charge for services on 06/24/22 - THERE WERE NO SERVICES DONE TO MY PROPERTY AND I CANCELLED 05/21. I contacted the office AGAIN 06/29 - they indicated they would pass on to the manager - considering my past issues, I doubt it will get taken care of.

Extremely unresponsive. I asked twice to have a lawn evaluation done as a current customer, who is concerned with their lawn. They blew me off the first time and didnt even come out. The second time they came out but wont return my calls to let me know the results. Unfortunately, I paid in advance, and I am stuck with them for the rest of the year. Dont recommend it. Find a place that actually cares about its customers. Update- Mark reached out the same day I put this review out and apologized. He came out personally to discuss the issues in my yard which was appreciated. Hopefully, this will create some changes in their communication. Changing to 4/5 stars and will update after we do the changes to our yard.

The quality of service is not what it used to be. Im a long-time customer, a good 5 years. Pre-pandemic, they were reliable, came out timely, my yard looked great and they helped restore it from the very poor state it was in after the sod was laid. 2020 on, theyve been inconsistent, waiting months between treatments at times and then visiting 2-3 times in a short period (in 2020, there was a 3-month gap around mid-June to mid-September they didnt treat at all). There was damage to my lawn which I had to hound them to repair and it still is not completely fixed. I have areas of my lawn that I have to spray for weeds myself because its clear they didnt treat it and its just easier for me to take the 5 minutes to do it myself. Ive been told theyve had a lot of newer employees and it shows. I was recently told my yard has fungus. Its a little brown, like happens every summer when it gets dry because I have bluegrass and it doesnt tolerate 90 degree days with little rain. So either I had fungus the whole time and they never told me, or its an upsell that I dont need. I also attempted to get some quotes on landscaping last fall. They never got back to me even after multiple follow-ups last fall and this spring. So theyll upsell me on an $80 fungus treatment, but they dont want thousands of dollars for landscaping? Either way, Im done.

This is literally the worst lawn care company in town. They are too corporate and do not care about the customer. They ruined my neighbors yard, they ruined my parents yard and they did a terrible job on the services I paid for. They also refuse to give you your money back when they screw up. Do yourself a favor and just skip them and look elsewhere.

My yard looks worse than it ever has in the 4 years Ive owned my home. At the end of summer, I have more weeds than its ever had. Id laugh if I wasnt so mad that I paid hundreds of dollars to them with little to no results. My newly planted bushes have all mysteriously died as well. All 12 of them. How do all 12 die? Maybe lose a few. Sure. But all of them? Every time I mow its infuriating.

HORRIBLE. My lawn is filled with weeds. All my new landscaping plants - dead.

I am trying to get the service completed, but it is been already 2 months since I got the person and received the estimatation. Since that I cant get anyone to do my yard. Call them almost every day with no response.

Watch out for their bright green trucks in town. They ll run you right off the road. Speeding, swerving in and out of lanes without using a blinker, and pushed me out of my lane. What a great image for your company.

My lawn looked terrible prior to working with A+ due to poorly installed sod. Since working with A+ my lawn has improved at least 60%. They are always responsive to any needs I may have.

A+ was to aerate the lawn the next street down, but did mine instead. They broke my underground fence (and my neighbors) and damaged a sprinkler head. I have called them four times thus far and theyve yet to return my call. I cant let me dogs out without watching them. Total clown show!

We were scheduled for irrigation shut down on 9/28. A technician came but zone 1 and 2 couldn t opened and he didn t know why. Nate, the manager, was supposed to came on the following Monday but he was a no show. We called back and got confirmed that he would come by Saturday. Again, Nate didn t come. We called A+ and got a promise that they would look into it. A few days later we got a call back from A+ and were told that they will talk to Nate and get back to us. It is now 10/22 - no call. I guess that A+ has too many customers that they don t care about screwing a few customers here and there.

We had Caleb come out and do an winterization of our irrigation system. He was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and took his time to figure out our system. Will definitely use again!

My biggest issue is a lack of communication. They came out to do a mid season irrigation check to make sure each area of my lawn was getting the water that it needed. Once I let them in the garage to get to the controls they never spoke to me again. I didnt think much of it until my next water bill doubled to almost $600. I checked the irrigation system and noticed they had increased my watering times by over 10hrs a week without even mentioning it to me. Paying over $1000 a year for the lawn and irrigation maintenance you think you could at least get some better communication. When I called and asked if this was normal they said they usually do increase the watering times but that they should speak with the home owner about it. They said they would notate my account and that was it. I will likely look for another company to use next season. *Update* They did call me fairly quickly to see what they can do to make things right. After speaking with them and coming up with a compromise that was fair to both side I have updated my review to 4 stars.

A+ does all of my weed control and fertilizer. If the weeds dont dye they will come and retreat.

Nate Lendt did an outstanding job with the preparation on my sprinkler system for the startup of the upcoming year. He was extremely knowledgeable and customer oriented on the work preformed on that day. Nate is an employee that you should be proud of and fortunate to have.

Our lawn has never looked worse than it does now. We have used A+ for 2 years and have had major weed issues and may bare spots. They completely missed treating an entire area of our lawn even after I called to let them know that the side grass was our lawn. When they came to aerate our yard they droved their muddy aeration machine over our outdoor rug and ruined it. They did not get prior approval for a treatment they provided, they just did it and billed me for it. They are unprofessional and dishonest in their pricing.

I have used this business for 4 years regarding my irrigation system. This summer I had an Irrigation leak,. it took them over a month to fix, 8 different people only 3 worked on it,. super slow, inexperance. help. many promises not kept. I now have another irrigation company

Cody was very flexible and remained responsive throughout our wait for the landscaping install, during the install and for questions / concerns following the install. The crew that did the install was also very professional, friendly and knowledgeable - maintaining an eye for quality throughout. This was our first interaction with A+ Lawn & Landscape and based on it, they seem to be a class organization.

Quality of job is good but customer service is severely lacking. Company billed me for a service I did not request and then automatically charged my card without permission. Three months later and I m still waiting for a refund and after several attempts still have not had phone calls returned.

I ve used A+ the past two summers and in that time their team has repeatedly ruined plants and bushes in my yard. They also used my neighbors lawn to access parts of my lawn I ve repeated told them not to. In the process they ruined sections of their lawn and bushes too. One incident this last summer they left a trail of fertilizer and then spilled a pile of it in my neighbors and my yard and never told us. They cleaned it up finally after a few weeks and put new sod down and then promised to overseed which they never did. The owner is hard to get a hold of and won t return return calls. There where also weeds all over the yard all summer long. To top it off, they said I was on an auto renewal plan and charged me for more treatments and wouldn t take it back. Don t use them.
