Dawson Landscaping in Chico

Zero stars. Terrible service! NEVER HIRE DAWSON! They do "landscaping" for my apartment complex. All they do is blow leaves around, never pull weeds or makes the place look nice. I asked nicely if they would not blow leaves right at 8am next to apartment windows (through the window bc I was still in pajamas). I later have a notice of a complaint from the Dawson company to my complex stating that I harassed the worker and jumped on his lawnmower. There's no grass to mow by my apartment so how and why would I do that. Terrible landscapers and even worse humans, false accusations and atrocious landscaping results.

Best landscaping company your gonna find in Chico! This family run business prides it's self in customer satisfaction. With all the business they have in Chico they have helped transform our city of Chico and create beautiful landscape designs and installations!

My husband and I have been extremely pleased with Dawson Landscaping. We hired them to do our "backyard pool oasis," and are so glad we did. They did a ton of removing old, ugly bushes, ivy, some concrete, and dead bushes that had grown up on some of our fences. Every single day, even when they were coming back early the next day to do the exact same thing and use all of the same tools, they cleaned up all of their stuff and even rinsed and blew the areas they had been working in clean. They also planted sod and lots of plants for us, did our sprinklers, installed lighting, and built two pergola type structures for us. Shane and Dennis were both very patient and courteous with us as they showed us how to work the sprinkler system and lights they installed. All of the men who came daily were very friendly and kind to our young sons who were fascinated watching them work, especially when they had their tractors out. They were very responsive to every email we sent, did everything we asked for, and were very helpful in helping us make decisions when we weren't sure what would look or work best. The structures they built are absolutely gorgeous, and the lighting they installed looks great. We can't say enough good things about this company - we would absolutely use them in the future and refer them to anyone. Their work was above and beyond what we expected. Thank you all for the amazing and hard work you've put into our yard to truly make it a "pool oasis"! We appreciate you and are very thankful for the work you did.

I have used this company now for several years and have experienced nothing but the most excellent of care. They are all very professional, on-time and reliable. They do some of the best landscaping work I have ever seen. Always very clean, tidy and organized. Knowing how difficult it is to find good, reliable landscapers this day in age I'm truly thankful to have developed a great working relationship with this company. In addition, I know some of their team personally and can attest that they all have the most upstanding of character. Some people today make it so difficult for business owners to keep their motivation and hold their head high knowing they are doing a great job- working day in and day out. Well I can assure you that despite the difficulties and challenges we all face they have continued and will continue to provide the absolute best landscaping service in Chico and the surrounding area. Dawson landscaping did an amazing job preparing and landscaping our new lot. They leveled our ground, brought in additional dirt more suitable for the plants, added boulders, located, purchased, and planted varieties of plants that we liked the look of, relocated our sprinkler valves, and it did it all in an unbelievable time frame. These guys are efficient, capable, knowledgeable, and friendly. Their pricing was fair, and I would recommend them to anyone considering new landscaping.

Attention to detail, great work ethic, strong knowledgeable crew, great equipment. They’re on time and professional. I’ve referred several of my customers to them for high end landscaping jobs.

We just can't say enough about this company. Nice family owned business. Awesome customer service, great communication and fair pricing. Shane Dawson worked with us when we really did not know what type of materials we wanted. He knows the business and products and pricing. When he bid the job he did everything by line item and price. It came in higher than we could afford.....but it also made it very easy to scale back with things that we didn't absolutely need. When we came to terms with what we needed, Shane just went ahead with a time and materials job on a handshake basis. What a breath of fresh air in this day and age. They have a terrific lead type employee named Eloy who has a work ethic that is unmatched now days. He moves at a furious pace and is quite fun to watch when you are paying by the minute for his labor. We had a beautiful paver patio, bamboo deck and irrigation and lawn installed and couldn't be happier. All of the materials used are first class and the knowledgable employees were amazing. The billing came in stages, which was very welcomed by us and kept the job manageable from a cash flow perspective. We will certainly find more work for Dawson in the future. (One additional item. When you look at the ratings for this company, pay no attention to the two that wrote reviews just to tear down their rankings. These two never even used the services of Dawson and yet ripped them up for no reason. No class whatsoever).

Just had a great experience with these guys. I had turf put down in my backyard in Chico and it looks fantastic. They were professional and got the job done as they said they would. I will be calling these guys in the future for myself and for clients.
