Ive used Weed Man for 5 years or so. They do a great job of lawn care and communicating when theyll be there, what services they did and what lawn issues they found / treated. I had some weed problems early on - violet and creeping Charlie that they took care of. Even came back for follow-up treatments for persistent weeds.

My yard looks great! Weedman helps me keep it growing the way it should and practically weed-free! Plus, my tech Beau has been extra helpful with all the questions I have about little problem areas. Great service!

Weedman is easy to work with - it is easy to set up appointments, the technicians are polite and provide helpful feedback, and the lawn looks healthy and green.

TK does a great job! Weed man has always been great. The price seems very fair to me and they always let us know a day or so in advance before the show up. If bad weather happens they notify you and reschedule to visit at a time when the chemicals can properly dry. This is my second year using Weed Man and my yard looks much better than trying to manage it myself.

The young man that came to fertilize our yard was exceptionally professional and he explained to me in detail what he was going to do and answered all my questions. I hope he continues to be the person that comes to us monthly. This is our 2nd year with Weedman they did well last year and I have no doubts it will be another good year with them.

Prior to using Weedman my lawn was ravaged by weeds. I was not able to maintain a healthy looking yard because of it. Once I started the Weedman yard care they were able to diagnose the problems and treat them properly. I definitely recommend them to anyone in need of exceptional lawn care.

I worked with Brett in Sales and was pleasantly surprised to receive the type of service that I was used to getting at places before the pandemic. It seems that most interactions with customer service type employees anywhere now are less than desirable experiences. The one I had with Brett was anything but that. He took the time to explain things and we even had some non-business related parts to our very pleasant conversation. I called to inquire about the pricing to be able to cut the grass and possibly do away with pests. The person on the phone informed me they only do preventative services and maintenance to the lawn and that they do not cut grass. This is very misleading as it s the first place to show when I searching for lawn mowing/ cutting and listed under the services it displays cutting grass as a service.

I appreciate being informed when they are coming to work and updated about problems in the lawn they find. Also happy that a very heavy infestation of creeping charlie is gradually diminishing. The fertilization has thickened up our grass. The cost is not much more than we were spending on products (diy did not work for us) to try to do this ourselves. And I prefer that the pros handle the chemicals.

Ive used Weed Mans services for the last couple of years and, when the weather cooperates, my lawn looks great. Weeds are kept to a minimum and the grass looks plenty healthy. They have been very flexible about payment and are priced competitively with other lawn care services in our area. I get a notification when they are supposed to come, and when the lawn care tech is actually on his or her way. Very professional and courteous. My only complaint is they can be a little aggressive about trying to push add-on services, but who isnt?

Too many sales calls and up-sales! You try to cancel and they dont make it easy. After you cancel they still keep calling!! And after 2 seasons my yard looks no better than my neighbors yards. Not worth the hassle in my opinion. 3/18 UPDATE: Another sales call! I asked that they DO NOT call me and they called me. Not only did they call me but they were once again super pushy and did not want to take NO for an answer. I wish to god I had not opened this can of worms and signed up for the service in the first place. DONT DO IT! 2024 UPDATE: Im on Indeed looking to change jobs and guess what! Every frickin day I have an email from Weedman asking if I want to join their team! Even though Ive said Im not interested, the next day another email!

He said he would be back in a couple weeks to check on it. I had forgot all about it. He just stopped by here a few minutes ago to spray that one little section. I truly appreciate his honesty. Started a free quote on lawncare through their website and did not finish it. Ever since they have been relentlessly calling me multiple times a day. I am getting spammed by this business more than I am getting robo-called.

Best of all the lawn care businesses, if you have a problem, their response is immediate, yard looks great.

Work is very good and prices are reasonable

The service that Weedman provides is excellent. This review is on their communication. They call non-stop twice a day sometimes leaving no message. I know it s them because when they call the next time ( on that same number), I ll pick up and they go into these insincere conversations and then upsell some sort of service. I politely decline and then they call back again the next day offering the same service. I ve stopped picking up and even block the number but they call on a different number (all 217 numbers). Then they text, then they email. And this doesn t include the reminder calls of who will be providing the regular services that they do provide. One week, it was 15 times they sent communication . Ugggh. It s non-stop robo-calls .. I m getting agitated just thinking of them calling today.

I am not a customer nor have I ever been, but on Tuesday 8/2/22 Weedman of Champaign applied fertilizer, weed control, and grub control to my yard. I saw their sign in my yard, and called the Champaign office. I was told that my certified wildlife habitat and a pollinator research yard was treated by MISTAKE! The woman said that an employee had accidentally confused my house for my neighbors property. When I explained that my house and mailbox are clearly labeled, I was not given satisfactory answer as why or how this could have occurred. I asked for the owner or service manger to call me back the next day, no one ever called back. Now my pollinators, wild birds, and other wildlife have been poisoned.

Excellent customer service. Knowledgeable, friendly staff who are quick to respond and happy to help. Our yard looks great thanks to their services.

Wow! Wow! Wow! How I wish I would have switched from TruGreen over to Weed Man much, much earlier! I gave TruGreen so many chances to improve and to actually do the work in my yard and then to communicate with me, but after just one service with Weed Man I was blown away. The tech Ahmeir was knowledgeable, helpful, a great communicator, a hard worker, and checked in with me before and after he completed the yard. The communication team when I called in was also very professional and on top of things. Both they and the tech were on the same page and knew what our problems/concerns were with our yard and when he arrived he was all caught up and knew just what to do. He also offered me an extra service for a couple weeks from now when I asked how we can really improve it and even though it s an upgrade (and a little pricey) he said it s helpful and will help our yard be thicker, greener, and stronger which I hope will make both me and my neighbors happy! They also come out and service it again for free if you are not satisfied. P.S. Ahmeir even picked up my child s chalk that was in the grass and set it at the front door. Talk about going above and beyond and excellent customer service! I m actually hopeful we can fix this yard that I have supposedly been treating for two years +! Thank you for showing your face, working in the yard, and communicating so well Weed Man! If it continues on like this I ll be signing people up for your service myself! THANKS AGAIN!

Our lawn looks better after 5 yrs of being a Weedman customer than ever before. They are very accommodating when you need them to come back out and spot spray for weeds that popped up. I just hope they don t go up much more in price cause I ll have to give it up if so.

Customer Service and Sales are great at explaining all aspects of the treatment. I like that they are consistent with calling ahead, and they will come do spot treatments for free if needed. I personally found this important my first year in getting everything under control. We are on our 2nd year, and things looked to have improve. Highly recommended service.

They have always been super professional and great service. If you need them to come out a second time to spray because you have some stragglers, they are always more than willing to do so! And everyone is always very helpful and willing to help solve your problem as quick as possible!

Treated my yard for weeds and did a good job

I ordered Ween Man s service in May, and it has been 3 months now. My lawn has not improved at all, and more and more weeds have overgrown my lawn.

I called and used this service for weed control for just my front lawn as I have a dog and do not want to submit her to the chemicals.......after attempting to charge me for an application that I hadn t received yet......then chemical application did not work ......oh and neglected to inform me that they were going to kill my lawn but maybe it might come back in the spring. Would not ever recommend them......oh and I did request a refund of which I not only did not receive they didn t even bother to answer my emails. So FYI......they don t communicate well either.

My lawn used to be covered in weeds, very thin turf and was an eye sore. Within a couple seasons trusting weed man, my lawn looks the best it ever has.

Service was average when we used them many years ago, so we stopped using them. Unfortunately, they do not stop calling. I asked them to stop, they did not. Today was the last straw. So now, they get this negative review instead.

Pretty good service and results for the money. We have used them for three years now and incorporated more services as time has gone by. Our yard definitely has fewer weeds and more grass.

They seemed to understand my problem with wild violets. Made a commitment to take care of the problem in 2021.

We had a really good service in 2018. Elected for almost all of their options (fertilizer, weed control, aeration, seeding, grub). Our lawn looked pretty good by the end of fall. They do have to push a little bit, but as expected as a service business. It was a very useful service with our lack of knowledge and time.

I am especially impressed with Eric, the manager. He goes the extra mile to help with any problems i was having with my lawn from week control to how to grow and maintain a healthy lawn. He is honest and a man of integrity. A couple of weeks ago, one of his techs accidentally bent a couple of bars of our fence when they doing aeration. Eric came and took care of it the very next day, and worked overtime to get it done.

WeedMan is a blessing to anyone that owns a front and or a backyard, if you long for beauty. Cory is wonderful. When ever asked a question, he had an answer for me. For example :What this, is it a flower or a weed? He was well educated in his field and when he wasnt sure he did not lead you falsely. But he would find out and tell you. Theyre no weed guarantee is a joke. I had service for a year. Called the owner and told him personally I will not renew. They killed my hostas and never replaced them. Then they charged me for service the next year and I did not renew. And then after calling their office over 10 times to resolve and asked for their manager who always seemed to be not available I gave up. They charge for services not delivered. Dont waste your time and money. Very shady.

The service of the Weedman is great. I had a terrible lawn and is now totally changed by the Weedman. The do what they promise and I know that I can always count on them.

Ive used Weed Man for a little more than a year now and overall I am satisfied. I do not see many weeds in my yard compared to what I see in other yards. They have also come out to apply repeat applications without question or hassle. The office staff is very professional and patient too. My only concern is that (1) I do not think the over-seeding and aerating paid off and (2) my grass is not as deep green as I want it to be. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with them. But if my lawn color does not get deeper green, I made to do shift to another company. (Or maybe water more.)

Just local observations: The Weed Man seems to do a great job putting the fertilizers and chemicals where they belong. After an application, I have not found any fertilizer in the streets or sidewalks, something other companies would leave there to wash down the drain. The previous review says he wouldnt spray for weeds in landscaping: landscaping beds may contain plants that are desirable but not tolerant of weed killer, plus theyre paid to treat the lawn, not your landscaping beds. While I think a healthy lawn contains more than one type of plant (including dandelions and clover!), the Weed Man seems to be the most responsible applicator of lawn products around, the lawns he cares for in the area look good.
