Derrick Francios did an excellent job. Great personality. Very professional. Very polite. Did the job as it should be done. Didnt hurry, but in a very timely manner. Made sure all the yard was covered. Need more like him.

The specialist from Tru Green are very knowledgeable and courteous and are willing to help address any problems one may have with the lawn.

Two years ago we purchased our house. When we were with the realtor on our first visit I noticed the lawn being in excellent shape and beautiful. This helped me very much with the decision to buy. I was used to a big ,nice lawn living in the country. We had noticed awhile back that weeds were showing back up. I contacted Trugreen and set up a plan. Have been a customer of TruGreen for many years this year has been the worst so far have been trying to talk with a supervisor several different times on my service applications that I have been skipped for 3 months in a row and the persons I talk with say the supervisor is in a meeting or busy apparently you don t care about losing this customer,I will definitely spread the word about how I ve been treated my sister- in - law that also has TruGeen are now looking for other companies for lawn care services !!!!!

Their salesman Rusty sold me on the mosquito defense told me I was getting 6 treatments only got 4 and now being told thats all I paid for took me calling them multiple times and 4 months to get a sorry but its not our fault we kept your money horrible service from the start and the mosquito defense didnt work all that well then when I called and told them just got told to wait longer if I could leave negative stars I would dont ever recommend this company horrible treatment

TruGreen applied a mosquito application to my lawn today. This is the first time I have ever used this type of service offered by them. I have always used their fertilizer, weed and grub control as needed. I was very pleased with Paul Monroe, their service specialist. He was very thorough in his application process and took the time needed to remedy my mosquito problem. Paul was very congenial and helpful in explaining the chemicals applied and how I should be cautious for 1 hour after application to not let my cocker spaniel out in the yard. Always a good experience with the men that come do the job. However, I m glad I ve always been home to see the job be done. Because for the second time in 5 jobs scheduled 2 had the wrong locations (only the front and side) resulting in not a full service. Both occasions the service men address the situation and either reschedule or got the job done right away. Bottom line I pay for 4 locations (front, back, side 1, and side 2) I expect to receive 4 locations treated as needed each and every time.

Truth being said, I didnt even get the chance to hire TruGreen. I filled-in the online form to get a quote for my home and in less than 24h I got 5 calls from 5 different local branch managers asking how they could help me blablabla... Just because of this very very annoying way this company handles customer data, I WILL NEVER HIRE THERE SERVICES! If you guys were serious you wouldnt force people into filling a form just to have a big client database. If you guys were serious you would treat client info seriously. If you guys were serious you would have all info regarding services and price calculators on your website and not force people into filling in a form to know how much it would cost for them to have their 2,850 square foot garden taken care of. You not only lost a potential client, but will gain a potential law-suit if I continue to getting calls!

My experience with Trugreen has been less than satisfactory. Last season was so-so. I did have to call in a couple of times due to the tech not treating my entire yard. However, this season has been miserable. They came out to apply fertilizer well over a month ago. The tech, riding on the motorized spreader bumped one of my trees. Once hitting the tree, he split open a bag of fertilizer and killed a 20 foot section of grass. I called it in. That day, a supervisor reached out. He was very apologetic and assured me that they would fix it. Since then, they have made three attempts at replacing the dead grass with sod. They dug way too deep so now, I basically have a 20 foot long trench in my yard. I have expressed my concerns with the supervisor and He still claims that it will be fixed, but I have had no resolution. My next step will be to cancel service, hire a professional to repair the dead grass and submit the bill to Trugreen.

Was on time and have seen an improvement in my lawn with weed control .Satisfied with there service so far.

I used to use TruGreen for my lawn care. And then one year I thought, I wonder how much difference using TruGreen really makes. So I stopped using TruGreen for two years. Oh, what a difference it made. I am back working with this company because quite frankly, I ve seen what a train wreck my lawn becomes when I don t. This company communicates very well, it s technicians are thorough and professional, and I ve had a great experience working with them.

My yard needs lots of work, and they started with fertilizing it and killing the weeds. The gentleman who showed up was not only very neat and clean, he was very polite and had common sense. He could can answer my questions, without hesitation, and was not upset by the fact that I did ask for some things to be sprayed that he had not known were considered part of the yard. He did it with no hesitation keep up the good work guys! 2nd visit-TruGreen accommodated me by making after 1230. The guy who did the work not only did his work non-hesitantly, both front and back. Because the equipment was larger than that stairs could allow, he drove his truck around back, and Unloaded in my carport and completed the backyard. The only conversation we had, was in reference to him, persay, verifying that I wanted it done without disturbing my Garden. NO PROBLEM , he handled it!

After talking to 3 different employees to remove my account permanently they still call trying to sell more services. Poor way to run a business when ignoring what the customer says. They only want to talk you in to spending more money for providing average quality service. My opinion to everyone... go somewhere else for your yard care !! .

After asking to be removed many times from their system and their constant phone solicitation as well as my negative review yesterday I just received another employee calling to sell me additional services. Starting to look like they are messing with me or they are just TOTALLY INCOMPETENT. Anyways Tru Green your number is blocked and you wont be missed !

We have used Trugreen for years. My yard has always been fantastic. Since the pandemic they are not the same company. I know all companies are struggling, but they seem to be having a worse time than most. I cannot recommend them anymore. I will not use them any longer. The biggest problem I have are the deceptive billing practices.

I called into TruGreen today to get pricing details and was told that I had to sign up immediately in order to get a 50 percent off offer. I could not call back later today or talk with my husband about the pricing. I told him I hate places that do that and he said have a good day and hung up on me. This is horrible customer service. I will not be calling them back now I will go with another lawn care company. Edit: Since my initial call, I received multiple calls from Tru Green stating I had spoken to the wrong person and they could get me a better deal than the one I was initially given and could only accept on that phone call. This company appears to be run like car salesman. No set prices they will just try to get the most they can out of you.

They sold a service and I haven t been able to reach anyone helpful at any phone numbers listed for TruGreen. All phone calls are routed thru people who cannot thoroughly understand or speak clear English. So if you have scheduling or service problems . Forget about it! This is the second year this has happened, never doing it again. ALSO I was promised by sales that I could schedule my service dates. Doesn t look like that s happening either my past experience is they show when the line to show.

Service people are all nice and polite. However, you have to watch out that TruGreen will sometimes say they were at your address when they actually were not. I heard about this and then experienced it. You have to watch for this.

DO NOT USE CHAMPAIGN TRUGREEN. What started out as a decent relationship in 2018 quickly turned into a total nightmare in 2020 and its only gotten worse. And what do they blame it on....COVID! No one answers the local number - instead its a recording that states due to COVID restrictions, this office is not staffed and directs you to call the 800# for assistance. I tried numerous times to get the local manager to call me and it never happened. My experience has been Service Techs say they perform services when they dont, yet I was always billed for the service. Each time I called the 800# to get the situation rectified, the representative knew nothing about my account and past issues, and simply put in a request to have my yard re-treated (ignoring the fact that it was never treated in the first place). The final straw was this week when I received the following text message sequence from TruGreen: The tech is on his way...the tech is at your residence...the tech was unable to perform your service please call to reschedule! I was home and they guy never got out of his truck. When I called the 800# I was told that the tech notes said customer refused service which is absolutely not true. THEN...when I told the customer service rep that I have had enough and want to cancel, I was transferred and ended up spending over 2 hours between holding and talking to three different reps before finally speaking with someone that understood my frustration and allowed me to cancel the account. Save yourself time and the aggravation of dealing with this poorly run franchise.

My lawn has never looked better. I have actually had some one stop and tell me my lawn was beautiful! After years of struggling to do this myself, I wish I had started with TruGreen earlier. I would also like to note that my main contact, Rusty, is always very responsive to my questions and requests. Mitchell Maxwell was my most recent specialist and also does a great job.

They have improved our yard for several years.

I signed up for a package deal. When that was up I called them and had it canceled. I even called twice to make sure on different days. 5 months later I get home from work with a 500 dollar service charge on my door. They came and aerated and seeded my yard without telling me, while I was at work. So I call them to tell them they shouldnt have and it was a mistake. They refused to clear the charge. After calling them 5 times and them telling me that they could see in theri notes where I called 5 months ago and canceled, still wanted me to pay half (250 dollars) for work I did not request! It seems that they think they can just show up, do work and expect someone to pay for it. My wife warned me that this would happen as she saw reviews about the same predatory business dealings when she researched them before I hired them. They are by far the most unprofessional people I have EVER dealt with. I will not be paying that 250 dollars and I will keep fighting.

Justin Meier is our lawn care specialist. He does a superb job and goes way above baseline expectations. He has a great personality and a keen eye for detail. He does not rush through our job just to get it done. He takes his time and shows pride in his workmanship (which in todays society is a lost art.) Because of the product they use and especially the job he does applying it we have a great looking lawn. At times a few new weeds will pop up and all we have to do is make a call and most generally they are here to treat our issue within 24 hours. Great service and a great job thank you Justin for a job well done.

The only thing fast about this service is them taking my money. I have tried multiple times to get in touch with this company. I paid for a service about 3 months ago, and they have came out once within that time frame. I look at my yard and it s still filled with clover, violet and weeds everywhere. Getting ahold of someone who works for this company is baffling. I want a full refund right away.

We had a employee from True Green in Champaign hit our mailbox back on August 3, 2021. He came to the door and told my husband to call it in. We have called twice to report it and still no one has bothered to call us back. So frustrating that they were in our neighborhood servicing one of our neighbors and we are now out $70 for a new mailbox. Impressed with the employee for stepping up and letting us know.....very disappointed in management for ignoring their responsibities. Update: Their reaching out was just for show.......they never replyied back from my email for compensated me for the damage.

I scheduled TruGreen to come out on Wednesday 8/19 to treat my lawn for grub. They text me the day before to confirm the appointment, but did not give me a time window. I called and they gave me the time 7 am to 12 noon. They are over 3 hours late and still no technician. When I call to check the status I get a recording saying that my technician will be out within an hour. When I spoke to a person they told me that they do not have the ability to track or contact their workman. Let me repeat... according to a TruGreen representative, they do NOT have the ability to contact or track their workman. This is 2020. Dont they have cell phones? This is not the fault of their technicians. It makes me wonder that they overbook their workers and over promise their customers. I guess once they get your money they dont care about their customer. This was my first experience dealing with TruGreen and wonder if I should work with them again.

Buyer Beware! Get your lawn services done elsewhere. The manager of this business is totally unresponsive he simply does not care about his customers. Very poor service. Very rude management. Almost impossible to start and stop services so you get overbilled constantly.

Fast and Friendly, excellent weed control

I have used trugreen now for several years. They have always been reliable and very knowledgeable. Our yard has been tops since using them. I always have people complimenting our yard. We have a 1/2 acre and the price has always been reasonable and negotiable. Highly recommend them.

When I bought my house in 2017, I had Trugreen fix up the lawn. Everything was great with the first individual that worked on my lawn. No weeds, it was growing fantastic. Then he didnt do my last application or my aeration or overseed. My family was home and the individual that did the application did not treat the whole yard. I also had a technician call me about urgent issues with my landscaping. A high pressure sales tactic. I wasnt impressed, especially at the price quoted. That winter, I canceled service. I requested to be off the calling list. I was called multiple times (spring 2018) and repeatedly was told that I had been off the list. Then, this early spring (2019), I was contacted yet again asking to set up service. Again, I told the individual that I was not interested. He then again told me that I would be taken off the list. My lawn honestly isnt as great as when they do the weed and feed. I honestly considered having them come out again. However, I got ANOTHER unsolicited call tonight from a different individual with TruGreen. This is 18 months after initially asking to be taken off the list. I wont be renewing, ever. Respect a customers wishes.

I have only had one treatment to date so time will tell in regards to the end result. I was very unhappy with the service I had and terminated. The set up and follow-up with TruGreen has been fantastic. Rate was slightly lower than I was paying which wasnt a priority when I chose TruGreen.

Extremely pleased with first application. Dandelions are almost all gone and grass is definitely greener and fuller.

TruGreen does what ever it takes to satisfy their customers. They call ahead of time to let you know when they are coming and explain what they have done. They also leave a detailed report after each application for you to read and keep. TruGreen is my pick.

Prompt and accommodating. Listened to me and Keith cared to make the service work for my needs and particulars... Although other services providers with trugreen do a good job, Keith in particular showed concern and caring I wished more customer service folks had. Please be sure to incent him enough to stay. Every year this person changes. It would be nice to have the same tech year after year.

The recent service we had was great. Service man was thorough and did a complete job. Corey was polite and gave us information about our yard. Corey also followed up with us when he completed the job.

I m a current customer and wish I would have gone with a smaller local lawn care company for this type of service. The office staff is unresponsive, difficult to deal with, and even rude, and they focus on making excuses rather than listening and presenting a solution. The service technicians seen nice but it seems more like a blanket application instead of a treatment customized for my lawn. I won t renew after this year s commitment. I paid for the law aeration and seeding service and am dreading having to deal with the office again to set that up. It has not been a good experience.

I just moved to Champaign, IL a year and half ago. I use TruGreen as my lawn care service. I have always liked Justin Marshall as my service tech. Awful service, I called for treatment , they never sent an email of my plan, never a courtesy call of the tech coming to spray...he showed up...didnt treat weeds as per what I asked for, and the endless calls to get someone out here to spray weeds, girl said they would be here last friday, NO SHOW...called today and someone cancelled it, im done with true green...worst service and follow up ever.

I had TruGreen as my lawn care this year and pre-paid one year program for my lawn. My lawn was luscious green before their service. In July, a half of the lawn is dead and they told me due to the army warms (Only my lawn is dead due to army warms in my neighborhood). Furthermore, the dead lawn has nothing except some weed patches here and there, the non-dead lawn has so many crabgrass, thistle, and some other types of weeds I cannot name them. Now I have an eyesore lawn in the entire neighborhood, and my lawn has a professional lawn care TruGreen!! I do not know how those good evaluations are posted here, I have exactly the opposite experience. Now I need to deal with the dead lawn and TruGreen keeps texting me telling me that they will keep applying lawn applications (I already paid them the entire year service). Dont be fooled!!! I was told when I signed up for the mosquito defense plan that theyll spray again for free every time mosquito appears before the end of the month. Less than a week after my first service, I got more mosquito than I had before. So, I called and asked for re-service as they promised. But, unfortunately, I was told that I am not eligible for re-service because I had less than 4 service appointments. Nobody mentioned this to me when I signed up for the service. Its not fair to advertise for a service and then come up with excuses. If they were professionals, they wouldve granted my request because it is not my fault that I wasnt told about there policy. It is a lack of communication from their side. Additionally, I dont recommend the mosquito defense plan, its just waste of money. Mosquito will fly from your neighbors backyards and it is not effective at all.

I liked that TruGreen listened to exactly what I want. There are certain applications that I refused and they made special consideration to this. The technician was courteous and friendly.

Love the ease of setting up service with Trugreen. Got a phone call 24 hours before they came out. I was able to be here when they arrived. Had a good conversation with their tech about my concerns and what I wanted from this. He gave me his assessment of my lawn and reassuered me that this first treatment would produce results that I would be able to see within a few days. He asked if there were any special instructions regarding where to or not to spray. He further assured me that If I did not see any change within the first two weeks that I only needed to call the number he left me to schedule an additional visit at no additional cost to apply an additional treatment. Now thats showing their great confidence in their service and I really like that.

Terrible service. I was unsatisfied with an awful looking lawn. Worst is that without asking if I wanted to sign up for another year, they just come by my house without any prior notice and apply treatments. Leaving messages on their website has no effect. They are a dishonest company and dont even do a good job. Im writing the Better Business Bureau.

Company produces fraudulent service tickets for service that was not performed. Twice, I directly observed their technician perform service on my yard and then the company tried charging for services that they didnt even perform. STAY AWAY! Update: I didnt listen to previous negative reviews and should have done so. Now, I have to prepare materials for an attorney since the company has pursued me for failing to pay their fraudulent bill for services not performed. Thankfully, a manager had a previously email conversation with me that I have retained that will most definitely not work in their favor.

It was a little bumpy through the middle of the year getting proper service at times that accommodate me but I feel trugreen has turned around and rectified the problems. I am quite satisfied with the job Logan, Tyler and Thomas have done lately.

My yard always looks nice and I dont have to worry about doing it myself.

We has just purchased our home last March and the lawn was in horrible shape. I was doubtful as to the results, but decided to use TruGreen mainly due to your guaranteed results. We did ask for two follow up calls throughout the paid for eight treatments, as we were encouraged to do. The lawn today is in terrific shape just over one year!

Our lawn is lush and healthy, and our specialist manages to successfully schedule treatments around the weather. He often leaves helpful suggestions about how to further improve our lawn. Our neighbor has been impressed with our lawn results and asked the name of our lawn service.

I have had 3 different people do my yard and am not sure why two of them burnt the tips of my grass? other then that my lawn looks great. I had a big crab grass problem but they came out and got rid of all of it. my lawn has never looked greener and is weed free. I was about to give up on my back yard, because of ground ivy and violets were taking it over, but they are now 99 % gone.
