Red Dog Lawn care & Ext. Remodeling, Inc. in Champaign

This company came in June to do a landscaping job on the side of my house. They were done an hour and a half early, but I had to pay for all the hours they estimated it would take. I had just had surgery, so I couldn’t be super attentive. Weeks later when I looked at the side of my house there were weeds everywhere (they used a weed barrier but didn’t cover the ground from one end to the other). Also, they claim to have tilled the ground (part of the original estimate), but the ground was very hard. I had another professional landscaper come and look at it and he said it hadn’t been tilled. One of the workers came back and pulled a bunch of weeds but never put down anymore weed barrier as promised, and refused to complete the tilling job, which was part of the estimate. Very unimpressed!

Jose, and his company Red Dog Mowing & Landscaping, are in a single word - AMAZING! After having him cut our lawn, and signing up for him to cut our lawn bi-weekly, we received an estimate to trim quite a few large, low-lying branches which were laying on a very aged roof. Trimming those branches became Priority 1! Jose said that he could come by on Saturday, if we were available, to trim the tree. He called today at 10:30 am and told me that he had finished early, and asked if we were available today for him to come over. I said "yes," and Jose arrived promptly. He got to work straight away, and finished the job quickly and EXACTLY as we had discussed and asked. All at a very fair price. My husband and I are senior citizens and can honestly say that aside from our son, neither of us has EVER met a more honest and hard-working young man! We look forward to working with José and his company for many years, and have him take care of all of our lawn and landscaping needs. His communication, follow-thru, and commitment to providing stellar customer service is second to none! My husband and I recommend him without hesitation. OMG, Red Dog Mowing is the best! We are out-of-state landlords and during a recent storm, the neighbor's tree split in half and a huge branch landed across our driveway and onto our roof. I called atleast 10 different tree companies via Yelp, and either they didn't respond or they claimed that they would have to get a crane to lift than branch off the roof. So their estimates were around $3500-4000. But Red Dog Mowing told me it didn't need a crane! They are roofers too, so they climbed up there and cut up the branch manually. They only charged me $2500--which is a huge savings! Thanks Red Dog for being so honest and responsive! I highly recommend this company for all of your tree needs, gardening needs, and roofing needs because it provides 5-star service and 5-star savings.
