It takes time, but Aarons formula for weed / fungal control and fertilization has my grass in tip top shape. We had moved into our new built home a year ago and builders put Bermuda grass .At the beginning we thought we would try to do it ourselves as what we heard that Bermuda grass only required less maintenance but we learned that it was not , it s easy to destroy Bermuda grass as we noticed it with ours. We stopped listening to anyone s opinion and advice. We saw RDS doing service with our neighbor across the street and gave them call. And the owner contacted us immediately and we talked about our concerns regarding about getting them to service us. He explained everything to us about the pros and cons in doing it ourselves but it seems like it s going to be very challenging for us to do it. We decided to have them to do the service and they started 2 weeks ago. They notified us the day before that they are coming which is good . We saw the technician great job in applying the treatment that is needed . They emailed us in what is our responsibility to do after the treatment and advice not to hesitate to call if we have any concerns about the service. So far , we are satisfied and looking forward to the next service. Highly recommended ! We had core aeration today 4 /29 / 2024 done by technician Brooks everything went well. Before he started I explained to him the issues we encountered with another company we used in the past . We marked everything that they requested. The job went extremely well and we are very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend RDS for core aeration.

This is a great lawn care service. The results have been outstanding, and just as important, they communicate really well. I always know when they are coming, when they have finished, and are very quick to respond to any questions I may have. There is no annual contract, so you can change or stop services at any time. I m a fairly new client, but I must say I m very pleased. I use to work in the green industry, so my expectations are kind of high :) The emails/texts before and after service are always informative and throughout. The service tech always rings the doorbell so I know they have been to my property. Also, the service technicians are very knowledgeable and always clean up after themselves. One of the service technicians even used a blower to clean off our deck. I highly recommend RDS!!

We have been with RDS for about a year now- pleased so far- presence of POA has been reduced and at the moment is not the predominant yard grass in our Fescue lawn! The grass is thicker than it was at this time last year so we will see going forward if we are able to maintain the health of the fescue though the summer!

RDS is a local small business that does great work! A schedule is set prior to arrival of the service specialist. After maintenance is complete the specialist clear had scrapes of over spread. My neighbors envy the lush fescue maintained by RDS lawn specialist!

I have been using RDS Lawn Care for about a year and have been very happy with the services received. For 2 years prior, I had a lawn that was full of weeds and looked horrible. After only the 2nd visit by RDS I seen a big difference. After long periods of rain the weeds would try and take over and all it took was one phone call and someone was out within days to take care of the problem. After one of my most recent visit I was met with a lot of weeds shortly after. Not only did the respond promptly to take care of the problem, but I received a phone call informing me of there visit and would follow up in 10 days. Well, in 10 days the truck pulled up to survey the weeds again and sprayed a second time. You couldn t ask for better service than that. My neighbor and a close friend noticed how my weeds have been under control and started using them also.

We are extremely happy with the service that RDS lawn care has provided us. We were having issues with bare spots and weeds in our yard and had tried other lawn care services with no luck. RDS has our yard looking great now!!

Great company, I used a previous yard company before RDS (I won t mention any names), I couldn t figure out why this company did so many visits and I couldn t see any results, anyway, hired RDS and had results with in the month.

Folks, these folks have a great program. They provide a service that is fantastic. If you do your part, trust me, they do theirs. We could not be happier with the results and hope they post our pictures soon. Your yard is an investment into your property. If we put our home on the market right now, we could get asking price easily, due to the grass.

I have been very pleased with the services I have received. I have only been with RDS for almost a year now and my lawn has seen a remarkable improvement. Prior to having RDS I didnt have any professional treatment for at least 5 years plus. So clearly there was a ton of work needed to get my lawn back in shape. I look forward to seeing this continual improvement. The service technicians are knowledgeable, informative and strive to satisfy any questions or concerns I might have. Have used other companies before but none of them compare to the service I get from RDS They take their time in my yard and I don t have to be here to make make sure it is done right.Definitely would recommend them.

I had a slight problem with my lawn due to weeds, due to the wet weather the weeds are still showing. We are not in control of the weather, thats for sure! Nate the Turf Manager came out the same day and also called me the next day as a follow up. We went over a plan for me on how to make the grass grow stronger (mowing schedule). Aaron the owner/operator called me today to make sure I was satisfied with the follow up/service. I would recommend this company due to their high level of customer service. I did not realize RDS also come back after the service, if you still have problems. :-)

Update: Had nice conversation with owner and after going through how we both experienced the issue we were able to come to an agreement. I will update again if anything changes but as of now it looks like he is going to make it right. READ CAREFULLY! RDS aerated and seeded my neighbors lawn on Wednesday morning 10/02/19 and decided to ride through my lawn to access their back lawn and tear it up. Since they left without letting me know I found out wed evening and had to communicate through my neighbor to try and get in contact with someone. Finally Friday with no word I went ahead and bought topsoil and filled it in, reseeded, re applied starter fert, and reapplied tenacity. Between getting supplies and actually repairing I spent at least 2+ hours fixing this issue not including material. I spent all weekend the previous week getting my lawn ready to only have it messed up. I finally get a call from RDS today (Monday 10/07/19), 5 days later who was apologetic but stands on defense that I didn t give them opportunity to fix it and jumped the gun by taking care of it myself. They offered me what it would have cost them to fix which was $20. That s right, $20 that doesn t even cover what I paid for materials much less my time fixing it, contacting them, and jumping through hoops. I told him if I was to hire someone to come fix it it would have cost at least $100 in which he said he was not going to pay anywhere near that as his labor cost $12 and his supplies cost a fraction of what I pay (keep that in mind if you re paying $45 for a 30 minute cut or $200 for a seed job). So it looks like I m just SOL. As far as his defense of you didn t give me an opportunity to fix , they tore up my personal property and left. Had they contacted me or let me know I would have let them fix it. Instead what I was left with was no contact and the choice of continuing letting my existing seed get washed away from the rut and run off and MAYBE they will come fix the rut next week while destroying my seedlings that have germinate, or fix it myself before more damage can be done. Is this who you want to spend your money with ?

RDS no longer provides service to the Fort Mill, SC area. They provide a good service. A recent email from the company explained a shortage of labor and they would no longer be able to provide me service. I just recently purchased $1,600 in Christmas lights from them and have no idea who will put them up next year. They were responsible for mowing my lawn, trimming bushes. fertilization, seeding, etc. I must now find another company that provides a reliable full service product to the residence of Fort Mill, SC.

Scalped the yard in 4 places on the 1st trip, drove through the mulch bed and scattered mulch all over the yard, and missed a 6 inch line of grass in the middle of the yard on the 2nd trip, never showed up on the 3rd trip

THIS IS MY SONS ACCOUNT FOR THE RECORD. I LIVE IN BAXTER VILLAGE IN FORT MILL, S.C. I DECIDED TO HAVE RDS AERATE MY 40FTX80FT YARD AT A PREMIUM PRICE OF $205.00 SINCE I HAD NOT HAD ANY TROUBLE THAT I WAS SURE OF WITH THEIR WEED/FERTILIZATION PROGRAM. (I HAD NOTICED THAT SHRUBS ON ONE OR BOTH ENDS OF SOME OF THE SHRUBS I HAD PLANTED IN ROWS GOT SPOTS ON THE LEAVES AND THEN WOULD SLOWLY DIE AND ALSO A BROKEN METAL HINGE AT THE BOTTOM OF MY FRONT GATE.) AFTER THE SERVICE I FOUND THAT THE BACKYARD WAS AERATED BUT HALF OF THE YARD WAS NOT TO INCLUDE THE AREA IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE AND ON THE SIDES. THESE ARE THE AREAS WHERE THE GRASS WAS DEAD OR VERY THIN AND REALLY NEEDED AERATION. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT ACCORDING TO THEIR PICTURES THEY COULD NOT MANEUVER THE AERATOR IN THOSE AREAS. LATER THAT DAY, THE WORKER CAME BY AND SAID THAT HE COULD NOT GET THROUGH THE MIDDLE GATE. I TOLD HIM THAT THE WHOLE FENCE WAS GOING TO BE TAKEN DOWN ON FRIDAY AS I TOLD THE GIRL ON THE PHONE BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT AND THAT I HAD SUGGESTED THAT THEY WAIT AND DO THE AERATION AFTERWARDS. HE SAID THAT IF HE HAD KNOWN THAT HE WOULD HAVE JUST BUSTED THROUGH IT. I TOOK THAT COMMENT AS A JOKE AND IT WAS AGREED THAT HE WOULD COME BACK FRIDAY AND FINISH THE AERATION. AFTER HE LEFT, I WENT TO MY BACKYARD AND FOUND THAT MY BACK GATE HAD BEEN SPRUNG TO THE POINT THAT THE BOTTOM PART NEEDED CLEARANCE OF 2 MORE INCHES TO EVEN CLOSE. I CALLED THE OFFICE TO EXPRESS MY CONCERNS BECAUSE THE WORKER DID NOT KNOW THE FENCE WAS COMING DOWN AT THE TIME HE DID THE WORK AND I WAS WORRIED ABOUT MY NEW FENCE ...A HEFTY INVESTMENT THAT I AM HAVING TO MAKE BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL FENCE HAS BEEN DAMAGED SO BADLY FROM A PREVIOUS LAWN COMPANY. SHE SAID SHE WOULD HAVE A MANAGER CALL ME. WHEN I SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER, I EXPRESSED THE SAME CONCERNS AND HE SAID THE WORKER WAS NICE AND PROBABLY JOKING ABOUT BUSTING THROUGH THE MIDDLE GATE AND DID NOT DAMAGE THE BACK GATE. I REPLIED THAT I WAS IN MY YARD THE EVENING BEFORE AND IT WAS FINE THEN. I TOLD HIM THAT IT WAS COMING DOWN ANYWAY BUT I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE NEW FENCE AND THAT IS WHAT I WANTED TO CALL TO HIS ATTENTION. THE FOLLOWING WEEK THE AERATION WAS FINISHED. I FOUND THAT 8 SHRUBS HAD BROKEN LIMBS AND ONE WAS SNAPPED ENTIRELY OFF AT THE BASE. I CALLED THE OFFICE AND TOLD THE GIRL WHAT I HAD FOUND. I SENT PICTURES. I TOLD HER THAT I SAW ON MY CAMERA THAT THEY USED A LARGE AERATOR THAT THE OPERATOR STANDS ON. SHE SAID WOULD HAVE A MANAGER CALL ME. I MISSED THE CALL AND CALLED THE OFFICE AND ANOTHER GIRL TOLD ME THAT THEIR GUYS DID NOT DO THE DAMAGE BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS TELL THEM ABOUT DAMAGES NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL. I TOLD HER THAT I COULD NOT IMAGINE HOW ALL OF THIS HAPPENED AND THAT SOME OF THE LIMBS WERE ACTUALLY PLACED BACK AGAINST THE SHRUBS. THEN SHE SAID THEY WERE NOT GOING TO SERVICE MY YARD ANYMORE AND I REPLIED THAT I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING. **THEIR GUARANTEES AND CLAIMS OF CARING FOR YOUR LAWN AND PROPERTY ARE CLEARLY *UNTRUE* AS WELL AS THEIR CLAIMS OF USING SMALL EQUIPMENT SO THEY DO NOT DAMAGE YOUR PROPERTY. (EARLIER WHEN I READ THIS I HAD CONSIDERED HAVING THEM MANAGE MY ENTIRE YARD.) THAT WAS A COMMERCIAL AERATOR, CERTAINLY NOT ONE TO USE ON A 40FT X 80FT LOT WITH A HOUSE, DETACHED GARAGE, 10X10 PATIO AND WALKWAYS TO THE GARAGE AND TO THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. LATER I FOUND THE BOX IN THE GROUND THAT CONTAINS THE CONTROLS FOR MY IRRIGATION SYSTEM (WHICH I HAD FLAGGED AND PUT A LARGE CUBE OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL ON) HAS GASHES IN IT IS NOW GUSHING WATER. THAT WILL COST ME $$$. SINCE I DID NOT GET AN INVOICE FROM THEM LIKE I ALWAYS DO I DECIDED TO JUST GET IT FIXED. ***NOT THE END......I RECEIVED MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT AND YEP THEY CHARGED ME $205.00. I ALSO REALIZED THAT THEY DID NOT FERTILIZE THE BARE AREAS AND WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO CHECK ON MISSED AREAS (INCLUDED IN FEE). THEY RECORD ALL OF THEIR PHONE CONVERSATIONS SO I HOPE THE OWNER READS THIS AND GETS TO THE BOTTOM OF IT OR AT LEAST CHANGES THEIR FALSE CLAIMS OF GUARANTEES AND CARE FOR YOUR PROPERTY!!

I dont leave many reviews, but I have to share a recent experience with RDS. First of all, these guys do great work. They have done a great job of restoring my lawn. The previous owner of our home did not maintain it and it needed professional help. We have been very pleased with their communication, professionalism, service, and dependability. The reason for this review is to highlight how seriously they are committed to customer service. I was hosting Thanksgiving for my family and wanted a quick mow to clean up the yard. With all of the rain in the past few weeks, I knew they were behind and did not expect to see the crew. I called on Wednesday and was told they might make it as they were working nearby. Unfortunately, they ran out of time and did not make it. At 5:00 on Wednesday, I called to find out why. I wasnt rude or anything, but I let them know I was disappointed and that we were hosting Thanksgiving for the whole family. They were very apologetic and promised to get to me on Friday. At the time, I was putting down mulch in the yard. You can imagine how surprised I was when two trucks from RDS showed up about an hour later. They told me that customer service is very important to them and them at they heard I was disappointed. They proceeded to edge, trim, and mow my yard...practically in the dark! It was so dark by the time they finished my family and I were holding up flashlights and work lights so they could see. I was most impressed by the attitudes of the team. Even though they had probably been working for 12 hours already, they were still full of smiles and friendly. They even apologized for not making it earlier and showed no signs of being frustrated for having to work late or in the dark. This was our first Thanksgiving in our new home and RDS helped make it special. The yard looked great and we got lots of comments on it from our visiting family. Customer service is not dead! RDS went above and beyond for us and they have a customer for life!

Overall, the service is decent; not great or bad. The men who do the work are hard working and respectful. However, in my opinion, I have experienced some challenges with inconsistent billing. The challenges could be due to a combination of organizational practices or processing methods. However, the company doesnt allow for traditional billing methods which concerns me because Im not a fan of using auto pay unless I am comfortable with the initiator. According to my communications with the company, clients have routinely failed to adhere to schedules when they opt to pay online. As a result, Auto-pay is required. If you chose this service, you may wish to monitor the charges as they can appear inconsistent and are challenging to reconcile to actual work performed. When I recently questioned the home office from the home office on the inconsistency in billing practices I received the below response I understand this is a source of frustration and the need for ironclad consistency. With the processor we use right now, I m afraid that isn t something we can guarantee. I have since received some responses explaining the rationale and there was no overcharge; however, Ive still cancelled service. The work is not good enough for me to deal with the extra effort in reconciling and my personal experience is that the individual whom I dealt with from customer service was defensive and condescending. Im not suggesting not to use this service provider, Im just providing some detail on my experience.

This companys service area does NOT match the service area presented on this map. They apparently dont have a crew that travels up Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd despite the fact that this is a major road that leads straight out of their reported offices in Mt Holly. I would recommend against doing business with them.

Managed to do business with them for a short while. Did a great job on my lawn, however, they were cutting my lawn every week against our original agreement when the weather cleared up for spring. I asked them to adjust to a bi-weekly schedule because the lawn didnt need a weekly cut. They flat out stated that they would not be able to make that adjustment. Disappointed that this was case especially when I signed on with them to cut the lawn they stated that is what they were going to do. Lacked Integrity!

Ive been using RDS for the past two years and they have done a great job keeping my lawn in great condition. Im also on their fertilization program that keeps it looking green and weedless. I like that I can call and ask them to do a specific job in my yard like trimming shrubs or leaf removal and not have to worry about finding someone to do that and its all gets billed to my account. They also have email reminders about fertilizing, winterizing and weed control that I find helpful.

I have been using RDS for several years now and would not use anyone else. They brought my lawn back to life after several years of neglect. The employees are very courteous and polite and know what they are doing. I ve spoken to Lori several times with questions about lawn care and she is always willing to help and answer any questions I may have. RDS Lawn Care are great at making sure our lawn is taken care of. They come by my house once a month and do what needs to be done to keep my grass green and in the best of health. I would highly recommend them.

RDS Lawn Care takes good care of their customers as I am one of four households in our neighborhhood that use them. We started using RDS Lawn Care Services in the Spring of 2015. Our neglected lawn was almost all weed and we were warned that it was going to look worse before it got better. After the fall aeration, fertilization and seeding, which they followed up on to address bare spots several times without being asked, our fescue lawn is looking much better. We do have some challenging shady areas that still need work but Im optimistic that they will improve. I feel that the RDS team is honest, prompt and pays attention to detail. I would highly recommend them

RDS completely EXCEEDED my expectations! I honestly wasnt sure if anything could fix my yard but after seeing how great my neighbors yard was looking I was willing to give them a shot and I am so glad I did. My back yard was basically nothing but patchy weeds and lots of red clay, but after getting on their program i actually love looking out my window at the beautiful green grass that has taken root. My front yard had different issues...we have a very sloped yard and there were areas that grass would NEVER grow no matter what we did and the weeds were out of control...RDS changed that and I highly recommend that if you have one of those ugly yards and think its hopeless, CALL THEM...their pricing is very competitive, their service is TOP NOTCH...remember you wont notice a difference overnight but their program works and before you know it you will have a lawn that others will ask you about!!

Having owned a small lawn maintenance business and studied proper care of lawns, I became frustrated with my own lawn! I was having fungus problems as well as other issues that by summers end looked like I had done nothing to maintain my lawn and found myself starting over each fall. I have known Aaron and his family for years as honest, hard-working folks. RDS was establishing a great reputation in our community, so I decided to give him a call and see if he could determine what was wrong with my lawn. One phone call and he was out there that afternoon to look over my situation. Within minutes he had diagnosed a huge part of my problem....over fertilization...yep...too much of a good thing! At no charge he gave me all the advice I needed to help my yard recover. I asked him to give me a price on taking over my lawn maintenance (I still do the mowing). Within 5 minutes he had crunched the numbers and showed me my annual cost. I knew how much I was spending doing it myself and was amazed at how reasonable he was. I am now going on my 5th year and have a beautiful weed free lawn that is green year around. I receive timely emails from RDS advising me of things I should do, especially how and when to water my lawn. While others enjoyed a crunchy brown lawn this year, my lawn remained beautiful with minimal watering. The seed he uses is superior to anything I have found on the market. His staff is always courteous and respectful of my property and folks who may be around. RDS is NOT a spray and go company. Aaron continues to educate himself and his staff on the best lawn establishment and maintenance programs including annual seminars at NC State University. If you want a more than a lawn service that sprays your yard a few times, plugs and throws out some seeds in the fall....look no further. RDS treats my lawn like it is their own...and they will do the same for you! They absolutely stand behind their work. All we have to do is follow their advice on watering and how to mow. If mowing is not your thing, they do this as well.

RDS is a absolute great company for Lawn Care. Office is super attentive, billing online if you need it, yard guys do an exceptional job, and pricing is very competitive. I hate we moved cause finding a company as good as these guys will be tough in our new house.
