The service technicians for the most part are thorough. Only one time did I observe a guy short spray my yard, but a phone call got me a good response by sending someone different to correctly apply the product. However, the mobile scheduling application often fails. The application service date appears but then it changes back to not yet scheduled . A couple days or so later a different date appears for service and that too disappears back to not yet scheduled , forcing more inconvenience upon me to call TruGreen and speak to someone to actually schedule a firm day. This application appointment failure has been an ongoing issue for the entire length of my service. Seems to me IT should have resolved it by now!

TruGreen is amazing! After one visit (and two weeks for growth to happen), my lawn looks amazing! Then, my septic being dug up really ruined the backyard and TruGreen took care of it right away. Im so impressed with the results and the handling of our extenuating circumstances at a great price. I couldnt recommend them enough! And Joshua M is the bomb :)

TruGreen applies fertilizer and weed control to my lawn. This is my second summer using TruGreen.

Weeds look to be under control. Waiting to see how green it gets but sure it will be fine

I would like to put a shout out to Spencer H. He was professional and took pride in seeing that my lawn was completely fertilized.

The tech that came out to do the service was very polite and courteous. Pleasure to have him. As far as the company-I m a bit disappointed. As my grass was bad in the spring. They started out great then skipped us a month which put the grass back in the downhill mode again. Took 6 phone calls to get them out!

Last year I requested and paid for aeration and seeding for both front and back yard. The first time they came I checked the yard after they were done and could see no seeds anywhere and they didn t even try to do the backyard. I called and was told they couldn t get their equipment in the backyard. They sent someone else out two other times to seed. We watered and took care of lawn. This spring there was no new grass. We had several large bare spots and they are still there. I believe they are using old grass that was past germination date. We cancelled service. Very upset and out over $300. A customer service representative called me after reading this review and apologized for the poor service and offered me a refund. I accepted the refund which was a credit to my credit card. I do appreciate them reaching out to me and offering an apology and the refund.

UPDATE April 2022. If I could warn you about this rotten company before you use them....read on. They are incompetent and rude on all levels. They did not perform my services and still billed me! I called the local office to state that my lawn was ate alive by grubs....they were supposed to apply a grub removal treatment.....basically told me to pound sand. I can not believe the PGA (who I will be contacting) endorses this scam. Beware....they are the worst of the worst. Why would you hire them to RUIN your lawn??? Go with ANYONE else. Click on my picture taken today to view Mr.TruGreens idea of grub control. Many negative one star reviews on Google from past or current customers (look at an honest lawn care company or any other service industry business reviews, very very few if any one stars)..it speaks VOLUMES about service and integrity by whomever owns and/or Runs this horrible franchise. Please do me a favor and dont send your canned response email back.

Im giving 4 stars based on 2days visit. Because last visit the young kid wasnt here when he said he was....... . Said he talked to me when he didnt.......... And the services I wanted done were not all performed to his ability. This visit was great. Mark was very polite, on time, ( Got here when he said he was going to be) and we had a very positive interaction. The only reason why I gave four stars is because of my last visit......... If it was just based on mark, I would have given five.

First treatment was as promised however, the weeds were fertilized as the grass was somewhat thin. Second treatment may have been nextdoor as my door hang tag was in the mailbox and no video of service tech in the yard. Return visit was needed and result are an improvement and communication was good. They are responsive to customers and you talk to a real representative. They may come out early if a return visit is needed. They care about the customer and welcome feedback.

Good week control but expensive

Truly one of the worst customer service experiences of my life! They use predatory and misleading tactics to try to keep you stuck in a servicing loop that just drains $$$, while making it nearly impossible to get them to actually cancel their service! I was assured last year, after spending 3 hours on the phone, that their services (which I never asked to be signed up for beyond a one-time aeration and seeding) were canceled. Come 3 pm today (1 hour before they close for the weekend) I get an email that they are arriving on Monday for my scheduled service. I truly hope that they actually took me off their service schedule now because any of their employees that try to show up to my property will be considered as trespassers and the authorities notified.

We get most of our outdoor services from tru green and we re quite satisfied with the results.

Very timely and very professional. I haven t got to see the results of the product that was applied ,but I am looking forward to leaving another review once I can see the results.

Have received massive amounts of emails and junk mail from this company with the amount of trash they produce physical and digital I am surprised they can call themselves a lawn care I would not use this service based on the amount of trash they send me never once asked to receive it even opted out and received more. Stay away from this place and let it rot like the lawns it neglects(based on 70% of reviews)

I ve used this company in the past. What makes me angry is I called today because I was almost plowed into on Willow road and Bunton intersection today 9/13/2022 at 1:47 pm and I called to report this to customer service. Not only was I almost ran into by a trugreen truck doing roughly 60 mph, but the car behind was almost hit, then this truck rides the dotted line (in the center of BOTH lanes) all the way to Rawsonville road/Willow road intersection and almost goes off the road. Customer service just kept putting me on hold multiple times so I would hang up. Eventually, I did because all they do is laugh and call people names once you hang up. (I ve worked for a company like this, all they did was call the person a B, and laugh) I know how these companies work, had this man hit my children and I, I would ve made it my life s mission to sue you for everything you re worth had I survived the massive truck hitting me head on. Think about this next time someone is trying to tell you an employee is driving VERY dangerously and your CSR just puts them on hold. We will NEVER use your service again.

I had hired TruGreen to do two things. Fertilize my lawn and spray for mosquitos. I could not have been more disappointed with the service. So much so that I had to request to cancel it. My yard is 2/3s of an acre. One week, the guy who sprays fertilizer, pulled up in front of my house. Got out of his truck while on his cellphone and stayed on his cell phone while he sprayed some of the front yard and tiny bit of back yard. Not even half of my yard. Still on the phone he got back in his truck and left. I called and explained the problem. Another guy came day two to fix the issue. He explained he could not spray everything and had to guess where to spray because if he did a double application it would kill my lawn. Well, he was right. He doubled over some of the back yard where the first guy did and it killed my lawn. A nice 20x20 foot area all dead. This is just one example of the many times they did not do the full job. It happened with both fertilizing and with the mosquitos. In November I contacted them to make sure everything was paid for and over. I canceled my service. They told me I had a zero balance. 2 weeks later they sent me to collection for two mosquito sprays. When I called to ask what was going on, they explained they must not have looked at the right account. Now I have been fighting that bill for 3 months. They have only called me back once about this issue. They do however call me every week to offer me service for next year. When I tell them about my experience, they tell me there is nothing they can do. I would recommend going to someone local. This big corporation just does not care and has poor customer service in my humble opinion.

Worst company ever. I wasted my money and time. My lawn never got better because they were never on time to do the treatment. The workers were never profesional. Once one of them told my husband that the equipment they have in their truck was too heavy to hold, and that is why they used a small tank to spray. I will never call them again, or recommend them to anyone I know.

Called and asked several times and never have they came out and gave me a quote, kept asking to do over phone quoylte and I explained only want portion of yard done not all and never come out to look, lazy!

They sprayed weed control and killed all my grass, have yet to return call to fix it. Update: I emailed them as requested below and still no response. Dont be fooled by their sales pitch, they dont care about their customers, they only care about their quota and making the sale.

TruGreen was a great company and did the work well. I have taken the task on of doing my yard care myself, but would recommend them to anyone that doesnt want to go that route.

Ive had TrueGreen for almost 4 years, cancelled everything last year because my lawn was yellow, full of weeds and dandelions. For some reason they did an auto renewal which I cancelled during the automated phone call. They still showed up, tried to call the customer service and was told that I still have to pay for a service that I cancelled through THEIR phone call. I have been trying to cancel the entire day and have been on hold for hours. DO NOT USE TruGreen, horrid customer service and they will burn your lawn!

terrible company, put things on my credit card without AUTHORIZATION. tried to get me services i never asked for. the bill got charged in my credit card without authorization. TERRIBLE

This company decided to send my bill to my old address, which they havent serviced in 2 years. So when I naturally dont pay the bill they are sending to the wrong address, they send it to a debt collection agency. Nice!

There are a lot of quack grass on my front yard after TruGereen March weed control treatment this year. I was very happy with their service before. So I asked TruGreen to come back to redo the weed control treatment. And their specialist told me the quack grass is not weed. I was very disappointed about his response. Should I switch to another company? Any suggestion? This is from Trugreen Website - Quackgrass is very difficult to manage with cultural weed control practices such as proper watering and mowing. Physical removal such as hand-pulling lawn weeds or digging is also not successful due to the aggressive, well-developed rhizomes present in the root system. For effective weed removal, professionally selected and applied weed control treatments are your best bet for eradication.

We signed up for a 7 spray service. It is now the end of July and we have gotten 2 sprays. Our lawn is the worst in the neighborhood. I could have done this for free. Horrible company to deal with. I would use any other company but this one.

Overall they provide good services and happy to come back for 2 or 3 visits if pest control or weed control is not done on required applications.

I was sold the mosquito defense service for my lawn. The representative explained the service as a whole yard perimeter against mosquitoes and if you get any mosquito bites on your property, they will come out for a free service call. What they neglected to tell me was that they only spray the landscaping, which I have very limited landscaping in the front of my property. So needless to say, my children and I continued to have a problem with mosquitoes through the summer. They were scheduled to come out for a free service call but I was charged. I had to talk with someone 3 times to get that charge refunded. I cancelled the service and today, when a manager finally called me to discuss further they told me their is nothing they can do since I cancelled the service. Terrible communication and all they want to do is sell services to you no matter if they are going to work or not. I have cancelled my lawn service with them as well because I am not 100% satisfied. If you are looking for someone to keep your lawn green, do not use TruGreen. The only green they care about is the money in their pockets.

The staff at this office dont communicate dont waste your time. I called to cancel the service because I was selling the house and found out I was past due on a bill I never received for lawn treatment prior to me cancelling. I was never notified of any continuation of service after my first year. I agreed to pay half and gave a new address for billing. I never got a bill, again. They sent my account to collections. I paid immediately but the check was never cashed so I paid a second time as I continued to get hounded by collection calls and letters. All this while the sales office called me over 4 times and wanted me to restart services despite, each time, me telling them I now lived in a different state. This is on top of the countless calls I got while I had service asking me to add additional services.

We have an old maple tree that, per an arborist, can be saved by fertilizing it several times a year. We called TruGreen and they came out quickly. The tree has been fertilized and we are scheduled to hear from them quarterly so we can save our tree. The service was excellent and the people were friendly. Thank you !!!!

I cancelled with them last April 2017 due to incompetence. They called wondering what was wrong and I told them. Since then the property was sold. They have called back 2 times in March 2018 and once in April 2018. They called me and every time I have told them the property was sold.

Agent called me this morning I started to mention about last sales call and how rude was your agent instead of listening this agent was also without listening me said. You need service from us we are # 1. We don t need your business, if you need us call us and hang up on my face! Customer service/ sales rep need to learn how to communicate with your clients. Very rude.

This is the local office for Trugreen national brand. The review is about their services and not on the local office environment. I have been using their services since 2014. By far, it is acceptable quality but they have a really bad habit of increasing the prices without informing customer first, unless you prepay. When I called customer support, at first the agent tried to justify by saying a letter was mailed to me. Later she realized the dates she was providing did not match and agreed to refund the money. Now I still use their services but do not trust them anymore.

Terrible service, and when you cancel, they will never stop calling you to try to get you back. Approach with extreme caution, and maybe use a burner phone.

The service outcome from Trugreen is a beautiful yard. However, after 3 different incidents, I had no choice but to cancel. The service guy would leave the gate open and my dog would escape. I called Trugreen to make note on my file that it was important to close the gate, but to no avail. Great looking yard but 30 min subdivision searches for my dog.

Our lawn tech (Rick) is wonderful! He rings my doorbell, asks if I have any problems that need attention, tells me what hes going to do and suggests any additional services I need. He has my lawn in great shape and Im a happy customer.

Just a customer service warning for folks: I havent used the Ypsilanti TruGreen, but I had a very rude call from a salesperson today. I put an online inquiry in, quite a while ago, and since that time have procured another lawn service. He called me this morning, identified himself, and asked me if I was still interested. I politely told him I was all set with my lawn care and thanked him. He persisted with asking questions, so I told him I was at work and very busy. His, very snaky, reply was I am at work and very busy today, too and he hung up on me. What a way to do business!

Trugreen has always done a super job. I have gotten compliments on my lawn. Trugreen is prompt, gives a detailed explanation of what was done, and always closes the gate.

Friendly and helpful service specialists. He walked me around my yard to make sure he knew where I wanted him to spray for mosquitoes or not because of nesting birds on our porch. Very considerate.

Honestly, I was not expecting this to work, and I was pleasantly surprised!! The mosquito spray was a life saver all season and our lawn has completely changed. It is softer and with much fewer weeds after being neglected for many years. Thank you!

Our $29.95 special cost us $312 dollars! Do not do business with these people. They charged our credit card on May 11 and still have not given as a credit after repeated calls. Do not believe their promises.

Trugreen continuing spray things all over my lawn without noticing me after the One Year Contract ends and charged me for the unnecessary spray and do NOT refund me. Their customer service lady is pretty rude in answering my call, be very carefull when you sign contract with Trgreen, they use all kinds of ways to rob your money.

we are very satisfied with our lawn service this year, we did not have to make any calls to tru-green for re-visits, the first time in 10 years I think! very satisfied with our specialists personality & willingness to do what we requested, ie, spraying the weeds on the sides of the house & rock garden, also putting up signs when we were having our lawn done so the neighbors could keep their dogs in during that time!

I really wish that I could rate Trugreen a 0 star instead giving it a 1. My experience with Trugreen was nothing but a nightmare. I had signed up for the full service package (last year 2014) as a gift for my mothers home since I thought it could use a makeover. I believe there was 14 treatments included in my plan. My mothers lawn needed some serious makeover since there were a lot of weeds present and the grass looked unhealthy (not green at all). After the first to the last application, I wasnt happy on how it turned out as it looked the same but when i signed up, they guaranteed that my lawn will look beautiful. I had called them over and over again to repeat the treatment and sure enough they did come and reapplied the application (included in plan), and I told the representative that i wanted to speak with one of the technician upon arrival so that they can explain to me why my grass was looking the way that it does after the treatment. They said certainly, I will put that request in.. when they came, I did not even know until the next day, after i opened the door and saw a note from the technician stating that they came and provided this and that. I had called them again and asking them why no one answered my request and they said we will contact the GM to contact you. Days and months have gone by, no phone calls from the GM and by this time, summer has passed. In April of 2015, I received one of those automatic call from Trugreen stating that Im scheduled for the lawn services at this time and this date. Prior to this, I thought that whats done is done and ive already wasted my money with them so I was just going to forget about it... However, until i received that phone call, I rushed to call the 800 number back to speak to one of the representative to find out why my service is still active. They had said that if they didnt hear from me then my service will be automatically be renewed.. Umm... NO THANK YOU i said to them as I continued to explain the reason why I was NOT happy with the service from last year. She immediately reviewed my notes and said we would hate to lose you as a customer and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep me. I told them that why didnt you do that before and she said that she will have a GM from Ypsilanti to contact me about my service... I said, alright and certainly, I did receive a call from GM and when he called, I told them my experience from last year and I also told him that if hed still want me to keep my service, then I need to have someone come to my mothers house and to see that the lawn service that they provided did NOT do any difference to my mothers lawn. He apologized and agreed to make a visit sometime in 1 week and I agreed. One week goes by, I still did not hear anything back, nevertheless, a month goes by, i received ANOTHER automatic phone call from TRUGREEN that Im scheduled for an application. Again, I called to speak to the representative and told her why NO GM had contacted me and her reply was I will have the GM contact you as soon as possible. I was furious and told her that dont waste your time and cancel my service. If I receive another phone call from you again or continue to bill me then I will take your company to court. After that, I think they knew that I was serious and the phone calls stopped. To summarize, my experience with TRUGREEN was awful and I regretted ever since as all that money wasted. They made my mothers lawn looking the same as it was before I called them and nevertheless, they did not keep their word. They only care about getting paid and not even making any effort to fixing any problems. I would NEVER EVER recommend getting service from this company EVER and Im glad everyone that I spoke to who were thinking about getting this service changed their mind. Keep your money and go elsewhere.

Do not use this company. Tore up my yard with aeration and did not fix it. Also broke sprinkler head and finally have scheduled to fix it 3 weeks later. After I already called to tell them I could not wait and fixed it myself. I tried to call to tell them not to come for sprinkler as I have already replaced. I have waited for 2.5 hours for a call back to inform them not to come. What a joke this is. I am a customer but once they get your money, they do not care about your time or schedule.

After the treatment the lawn looked great -- no blooming dandelions or visible weeds. The lawn looks great, nice and green and full. You can tell the difference in the lawns treated by TruGreen and by other companies in our neighborhood.

My grass was nice and green this year like always, but Im still having trouble with clover and dandelions. The service people are always friendly, and take care of my lawn in a timely manner.

I cant even rate this company they are so horrible.... paid for 6 treatments, it is now September and they have done 2. They want to extent my contract to next year, no way are you touching my lawn... just give me a refund and let me go to someone else who knows what they are doing
