Colin and his team did a fantastic job on my retaining wall and patio. The previous homeowner did a pretty ramshackle job with the previous wall (see the "before" pictures), and it's so nice to have a professionally-installed wall that I won't have to worry about for decades to come. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 5 Star Landscaping to a friend or hire them for a future project.
5 Star Landscaping did a great job installing artificial turf for our dogs' play area. The job was completed quickly and on schedule. Our two young golden retrievers love it. We had a difficult time growing sod grass and the dogs were always digging at it. With the artificial turf its always looks nice and has held up well. No Digging! A great improvement! Thanks Colin!!
Colin was very responsive and prompt! He came the next day to give me a quote that was fair & affordable. Adam & Chad did an amazing job on clearing out all the old stones and plants so that I could start fresh. I am in love with my new garden wall & can’t wait to design it next spring! Collin and his team worked with us to provide a natural boundary for our yard that provided us and our neighbors with privacy. We wanted it to be low maintenance and to fit in with our neighborhood. We were provided with options to choose from, and on site discussion of what we wanted in our plan. His crew was professional and efficient, answering all our questions. They were kind and courteous and cleaned up all materials. We are very happy with the result, and so are our neighbors!
I wish I could remove the one star that I was forced to select to submit this review. This company is horrible! I hired this company for snow removal services. Worst decision of my life. When I called to inquire about services, I was told to sign the contract, take a picture of it, then services would begin. Once the contract was signed, the real games began. The first snow removal day, the guy that was assigned to my home ran over my grass. Once I saw what happened, I complained to the company's contact person. I was told that the workers had put grass markers down to avoid this happening in the future (cheap plastic makers that you have to pay for). She assured me that she would talk to the owner and that it would not happen again. The second snow removal service, the person assigned for my snow removal, was worst. They ran over my grass again, and pushed up the grass at the back of my driveway until the dirt was exposed. I called to complain again. I was told that she didnt understand how that could've happened. She said that the Owner of the company had did my snow removal this time. I had seen enough. I requested that she cancel my snow removal services without cost to me because I would have to pay for services to repair my grass. I thought this was fair since the company had badly damaged my lawn. She told me that the "Owner" is a landscaper also and that he would repair my grass if I agreed to keep the service. (Now why would I do that!?) I explained to her that I did not trust the Owner and that I only wanted to cancel snow removal services. She then began to get aggressive and told me that if I did not pay a substantial amount of the snow removal service cost and forget about the damaged lawn, they would sue me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Take this review as a warning to guard against companies who hide behind their contracts and technicalities to avoid taking responsibility for their unskilled work and poor work ethics.
We hired 5 Star Landscaping for retaining walls and a walkway at our new construction home. We absolutely love how everything turned out! Our house had a steep grade and erosion issues so we needed a long term option that also matched the house. Colin's design for the wall, using large Redi-Wall Blocks gave us a safe, functional area. From start to finish they were professional and efficient. The quote was easy to read, and they finished by the deadline while staying on budget! I would highly recommend this company for a retaining walls or brick pavers. They will be back in the Spring for more landscaping.

If you want a company that listens to you, that shows up on time, that stays on budget and schedule, that knows what they re doing, respects your space, respect your time AND does Amazing Work you ve found them! They re not cheap but their prices are competitive and fair and believe me they deliver what they say, and if something isn t quite right THEY FIX IT Honestly nowadays it s so hard to find a 5-Star business of any kind but this company has the right name and deserves the 5 Stars!

You would be in good hands if you are currently considering work on your property, to give these guys a call, and gather an estimate. I believe their experience and attention to detail will likely improve your original concept, and they will certainly offer you a range of options allowing you to feel confident when you move forward. I did not know Colin before he met me to prepare an estimate, however in conclusion of that work I can attest that when you call 5 star, the work is phenomenal and extremely efficient. Perhaps more importantly, the owner and employees are extremely courteous and helpful, listen, and take pride in meeting or exceeding your expectations. I personally was impressed that the work we benefited from on our property, in my estimation, was equivalent to what one might expect from someone working on their own property or that of a close friend or family member. Everything we discussed was correctly itemized when he sent the invoice. When Adam and the crew showed up to begin the job, they were extremely professional, kind, and hardworking. Colin and his team do a fantastic job! We ve hired them a few times over the years but the biggest jobs were to rebuild a front porch and they ve handled several landscaping projects for us as well. Most recently, we had to have a large maple tree removed and they came in with a plan to plant new trees and shrubs - the transformation is amazing! Countless neighbors have stopped by to look at the results up close and tell us how great everything turned out. We highly recommend Colin and the 5 Star Landscaping team!

We recently got it installed a brand new paver stone patio using 5 star company and I will give 5 stars for the entire process. Collin was wonderful to work with. Gave fair estimates and worked with our budget. He paid attention to all the details and took care of the concerns we had while getting the patio installed. Clear process and kept us updated always. Did a great job and installed a beautiful patio. I highly recommend his company/services. Hard working, efficient, reliable and excellent quality of work delivered. I will definitely sue them again and again for any future projects.
I would use Collin and his Team again! They did a nice job on maintenance to my paved patio. Adam and Arazintae went the extra mile on repair on some of the brick work! They were very nice and professional. I would have given a 5 stars but I loss a plant in the process of them removing some trees, although I was told it was a possibility. I recommend them. My partner and I have been attempting for almost two months to have a conversation with 5 Star Landscaping about fixing an issue with our landscaping. We have called, e-mailed, sent direct messages through Facebook messenger, and even texted Colin, the founder, on multiple occasions with no response. I even drove over to where their website says they are located, only to find there map gives you an incorrect location. The major issue is that, when the landscaping was originally installed in May 2019, the installers accidentally hit a buried downspout drainpipe. In September 2019, after many attempts to reach out at that point as well, 5 Star came back to fix the pipe again and replace a Japanese Maple tree that had died from the water continuing to run from the pipe that was not properly fixed the first time (the roots were wet and rotten from the excess water). This spring, we noticed that this second Japanese maple has died yet again. We have done everything we can to contact 5 Star to at least have them come over to see what is going on and figure out what can be done. However, after so many attempts and no response, I have no choice but to leave this review. I understand that 5 Star, like other landscaping companies, is quite busy, given the delays caused by the pandemic and the already hectic installation season. But you cant tell me that they arent aware of our outreach to them. If youre too busy, just tell us and we will wait...not replying back to a customer who is asking for assistance is simply not acceptable, and we will continue to push until we are satisfied that the problem is resolved.
Extremely pleased with the effort demonstrated by 5 Star landscaping. Their work was timely and customer focused. Will be working with them again in the future and would recommend to others looking to optimize their landscaping.
I had great hopes for this company. They did come out and start the job. But have not returned to finish the job. We have tried several times to reach them, email and phone. They no longer answer our call. I was really pleased with the job and their work, unfortunately that all goes to the side when the job is not completed. Only hire if you want to hire someone else to complete the job.

5 Star cleared out my old beds, installed 12 new trees, refreshed the beds with small rock. Looks great. I already called them back for more work. I have another project for my house. I hope they can fit me in next year.
Just had DIY tree ring and flower bed replaced by 5 Star. The guys did a good job. They cleaned up everything and left my front yard looking awesome. Will definitely hire them for more work.

5 Star Landscaping did a great job helping us with our landscaping needs to get our yard looking great for a graduation party. That was 3 years ago and it still looks great. They were polite, professional, reasonably priced, left yard tidy, and met our needs to have the work done quickly. Our neighbors liked our yard so much they hired them. I highly recomend 5 Star, wouldnt go elsewhere.
Colin from 5 Star Landscaping did a great job with some soil removal and levelling a pathway in my backyard. He accommodated me in the last minute, and was a real pro at operating the equipment he had brought with hi in a very narrow passageway. I highly recommend them, and will definitely continue to use them in my future landscaping needs.
I requested a quote from their website from this company to replace a paver patio. They called me and set up an appointment for the following week. Then they never showed up, called or made any attempt to contact me again. I wont use any company so unprofessional as to simply no-show.
