West Coast Concrete Services in Yorba Linda

Called for an estimate. Received a call back from the owner. So far so good. I was then told we don’t do jobs under $5,000 if that matters. (I didn’t mention it to him but the estimates we have received so far for the needed work ranged from 12 to 15k) I asked when he could come by for an estimate. Very busy and would not drive by if I weren’t at home because he’s not in the business of driving around giving free estimates. He then told me to go on his website and fill out the estimate form because I was wasting his time. Yikes! I told him he had it wrong that he was wasting my time. Customer service is sorely lacking here. Hopefully he was just having a bad day.

My problem with wcc isn't the workmanship, it was the lack of responsibility the part of the company and its owner when a mistake occurred. My paving work for my backyard patio was complete December 19, 2022, and it looked fine. We actually went out of town on the 20th and returned the 25 and looked over the work after it cured and still looked very nice. Expecting rain i was moving things in my yard when i noticed that instead of building a 4 inch slab from below the line of my crawlspace they had built it up over the ledge of the opening. Thus wasnt obvious originally from a distance and wasnt expected because when they demoed thr old concrete they had left the ledge ad i had asked. Basically it set it up so that whenn it rained. The water ran straight under the house. I contacted wcc on dec 26, 27, 28, and finally got a hold of them on the 29th. I explained thf situation and wad told they would send someone out to look at and correct it. No one showed. I called every week in january and february, at least 12 more times and was always told something came up but someone would be out the next day or two. Finally in march with all the heavy rain i had to build my own wall, it was a slow process because i didnt know what i was doing and it was raining so much. Its ugly and kind of ruined the look of the new patio but its keeping water from undef thr house, which never should have happened. Also i had to rent a humidifier, fan, and clean up under my home. It was the first time water had ever gotten under there. Finslly, what topped off my frustration, they never called on their own, made no day or date commitment, and when i stopped calling i was just forgotten about. So warning is, make sure check everything because once they get their money they are gone anc left fixing or paying for anything done incorrectly. I will not use thrm again or recommend them. I just wanted to respond to wcc response to close, the agreement was for that particular area around the house and crawlspace to be demoed and replaced with a slight grade to flow water from house, not to build the new concrete up over the existing ledge to the crawlspace. In fact, the ledge was left as i had asked but rather than go 4 inches down from original concrete walk it was only dug down 2 inches and the other two inches were built up parallel to the ledge, allowing water to flow directly into the crawlspace rather than against and around that ledge. There is no way to prove thus since i did not photograph the area as it appeared it was going to be completed with ledge intact two inches above new concrete so that is why i filed no complaints, but your response is misleading in that i did not ask for that in tge agreement and it would not have been an issue i would have had to address if the work was done as such or corrected. Ultimately, i stand completely behind my review.

I've used West Coast Concrete for 3 projects already, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They first installed my paver driveway, then a few years later, paved my backyard and poured a concrete slab for a sport court area. Then most recently poured a concrete slab for a hot tub and swim spa install. Working with Donny is straight forward; he gives you a fair price and gets the job done when he says it will.

Donny and his Team at West Coast demo'd a fence, graded my yard, and installed an amazing driveway that I use for RV parking. they pre ran all the plumbing and electrical work for my hookups and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. they were clean friendly and on time. Not often do you get to have a construction project at your house when you don't even know they were there each day built these guys did it. I would recommend them to anyone!!!!!

Our front and backyard required an extreme makeover. West coast concrete was knowledgable and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this business.

We loved West Coast Concrete!!! We had three others come and bid the job. I received everything from hand drawings to funny sketches. The bids were all over the place and I felt like I was comparing apples to oranges. Finally, when West Coast came I knew he understood my vibe, As I am a designer myself I knew he was getting exactly what I was saying and he helped me work out the areas I was concerned about. We came up with an awesome front yard design. The concrete work is amazing. I love the stained caps we went with and the design thru-out. His workers were equally as great and were able to answer any questions I had. I was quite surprised at how quickly it all came together as well.

After owning our house for a block of time we were in need of a redo. West Coast showed up and gave us a simple quote that was within our budget. When it was all said and done we now have a backyard to be proud of! Thanks West Coast
