We had landscape installed recently. We went thru 2 hurricanes, Helena and Milton. The lawn and trees held up beautifully. I would strongly recommend this company. They arrived on time and were very efficient.

I chose Mansfield Landscaping to repair my sprinkler system and resod my entire yard and add palm trees with rocks around the trees and the new birdcage (screen) Everything looked like disaster after they completed my new swimming pool. I now have a beautiful yard with trees, flowers, and rocks to protect the screen I was surprised how quickly all this was done.

Steve and his crew were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. We recently added a pool to our home and wanted a totally new landscape look. I didn t even get through the preliminary phone call with these people. I called for an estimate as I received a mailer. I was asked a thousand questions over the phone then basically told I probably couldn t afford what I was asking for. They never came out to my property, kept assuming things based on other projects, and were overall super rude. No thanks I ll take my business elsewhere.

Steve was great to work with. Yes, his approach to business is somewhat unusual, but his quote was excellent, and the work was excellent. We worked on the landscaping collaboratively. His subcontractors were very good. The job was done in a very timely manner. He assisted us in getting some landscape decorations for a discount, which was very appreciated.

Wed had other quotes and then had Steve come out. We told him what we wanted and then he went to work, looking and talking and thinking. Hes old school, so you wont get a pretty computer printout. We liked his ideas-some wed never thought of-and hired him on the spot. Nothing down, no payment until we were satisfied, and we were! He talks fast and gets to the point. I can see how some might think him rude, but I didnt. Just old school and to the point. Great work and I believe he will stand by it.

It was a big job involving several palm trees, other trees, many plants, garden wall enclosures as well as the repair and sealing of my paver driveway, walk way and lanai landing. The crews that came to install the landscape and hardscape were very professional and very hardworking. Once the work began, the project was completed in a very timely manner. Steve Mansfield did not take any money for the materials and work until the job was completed.

Steve came out to talk us about our project. He listened, made suggestions, and told us he could complete the project in 2-3 days. We recently finished an extensive pool construction project...which left our yard a mess. Mansfield Landscaping did an outstanding job fixing the mess (new sod and irrigation repair). And, we also took the opportunity to add some hardscaping (2 paver patios and a block wall)...not to mention adding some great trees and palms from their nursery. We are VERY pleased with the quality of the work...and they accomplished all of this quickly and on schedule.

When the final results exceeded my expectations, a BIG KUDOS goes to Steve and his craftsmen at Mansfield Landscaping. What was once a modest backyard has now turned into the showcase I had dreamed of. Steve offered his expert recommendations and his crew worked above and beyond to make the dream come true.

Not as advertised. Website says, $3,500 minimum. When they talk to you, it is stated that they dont really do anything for $3,500 or even $4,000. So, what is your actual minimum? (Little truth in advertising please). Oh wait, they do not even tell you that when you are on the phone with them. I had the impression they wont do anything for less than maybe $10,000 (I think). She was unclear. I mean, what is the point of not giving full disclosure of this subject? Im shopping for a service. All she did was to pull up old pics from Zillow and not hear me when I said, it doesnt even look like that anymore. I have been here for 2 years and I have already done work to the front yard. Dont look at Zillow. Your place needs a lot of (landscape) work. Maybe, but I have already done some since those photos are from the previous owner. I am asking about a few specific things and I am not being directed I am being spoken down to based on a photo from like 4 years ago. Website says, Landscape Estimates & Phone Consultations are available 7 Days Per Week, from 8am to 8pm. All messages are returned within 1 hour. (Copied from their site) Also, not true. I called on Sunday before 4 PM, and I was called back on Tuesday morning. However, all their representative would state was, watch the video on our site to see how we do estimates. Your website says, phone and in person. Wait, it says you will consult on the phone, not just be rude and uppity to me. I could forgive this if I was actually spoken to respectfully and given some information. Given my contact this morning, I am sure this will generate something snarky. Snarky people.

Mansfield Landscaping installed a block wall (12 ), new trees and plants and landscaping stone in our front yard and a concrete landscaping border around our sides and backyard. They also adjusted the sprinkler system to ensure adequate coverage of the new plants. In addition, they relocated plants from the front yard to the side border areas. We are very pleased with the work performed. Their workers were very professional and courteous. The work was performed at the quoted cost and the yard cleanup was promptly performed. Steve, the owner personally performed a post work inspection to ensure satisfactory performance. We were particularly impressed with the speed at which the work was performed and once again the quality of the work and the professionalism of the workers. Bottom line, great work performed at a price below other quotes in a timely fashion with no surprises. We recommend Mansfield.

Just had our front yard landscaping redone by Mansfield - they planted all new greenery and increased our landscape footprint to the side of our house - the new design kept our favorite trees and incorporated stacked stone walls to accent the slope of our lot - they worked fast, were neat, and were courteous - I highly recommend them

Mansfield Landscaping just completed my landscaping job (April 2022): they did the entire back of the property (which had no landscaping), as well as adding to and replacing plants in the front of the house. The team was professional: the estimate process was clear, they arrived on time, dealt with the irrigation system, completed the job in less time than was estimated, and cleaned up everything after the job was done. I am extremely satisfied with Mansfield Landscaping and would recommend them for any landscaping job you might have.

2 trees died. He replaced one and refused to replace the other. After spending $10,000 for this you should NOT have to deal with trees dying. I would not recommend. Interesting response below. We did have an agronomist come out to look at the tree at our expense. He advised that tree had been planted too low in the ground and was holding water. I called you and advised you of this and you said you would make a trip out to look at the tree. This was months ago. You never came out and never followed up with me. You bribe people to put good reviews on here to establish a 1 year warranty but don t honor your 90 day warranty. Not a business I would recommend to others.

I had a complex project. Steve and his team completed the project as planned and although I thought he was optimistic with the schedule, he and the team were on time and a pleasure to work with.

He told us not to worry, that he would take care of us, now and even after the work is done which was true. (eg. after everything was completed, we requested a tree to be relocated and that was done within 2 days) He is a good person and we would recommend him.

Steve came out to view our property in Groveland after our discussion on the phone. Steve listened to what we wanted to do with the space and shared suggestions and ideas. I threw a little monkey wrench in the process as I was looking to match a travertine paver that we had used on our pool deck. I provided Steve with the info and he contacted the supplier and was able to obtain the same product within a matter of days. Steve said it would take only a few days to complete the job (This was on a Friday). Steves team showed up promptly on Monday morning. Steves team went over everything that was going to be done that day in addition to asking my wife to come out to ensure all the plants that were to be planted were exactly what she wanted. The team was very polite and professional and they maintained a clean work area and ensured the area was neat and clean before they departed. Steves team did an outstanding job laying the travertine pavers - they look amazing. The team responsible for building the wall and spreading the rock also did a tremendous job. In addition to the work we requested the team did additional work for us in existing beds along with filling a few areas for our neighbor at no charge. I also had a block wall that I built myself a few months prior. The wall had been hit multiple times by our community landscaping company and Steves team repaired that for me as well. The irrigation system work was excellent as well. Once installed he tested all the sprinkler heads to ensure each zone was covering as desired. Nick covered sprinkler system operation and said do not hesitate to call should any issue arise. Without a doubt, you can trust Steve and his team to provide you with quality workmanship, professionalism and excellent customer service. I called Mansfield on Wednesday July 20, 2022 around 10am to see if I could get a estimate scheduled with the next 2 weeks. After talking to Steve about what we wanted to do, he offered to come to the house that afternoon. As we walked around the house we discussed what we wanted removed, that we wanted low maintenance plants and we wanted stone instead of mulch. Steve ask us the where we would like to keep the project cost. He stated that the job should 2 days and possibly could extend into the third day. At that point Steve gave us his vision of how to implement what fulfilled our requirements. He suggested a mature blueberry tree centered on the garage window and said he would bring 30 to 40 plants that met our needs and we could chose as many or as few to plant. We discussed the size and colors of stone that we would want. Also included was the output of 5 downspouts being dispersed underground away from the house and all irrigation adjustments to support the new design. We also had them removed a curbed area from which we had previously removed an oak tree; we had sod added to that area. Steve gave us the estimate to complete the job with no payment due until the project was completed and we were completely satisfied. We signed the contract that afternoon and the 2 man crew and Steve were at the house at 9am on Friday. We had a second walk around discussing the project with the installation crew. The installation crew had the project cleared by late Friday afternoon and worked around a previous commitment we had on the weekend. Tuesday morning the crew arrived at 9 with the tree and plants. Steve brought the stone samples for us to choose and placed the plants the way he had envisioned the project. We worked with Steve to get the plants we wanted; the only thing we changed was not having cactus plants. The crew installed the new tree and plants. While they were installing the weed barrier the 11 yards of stone was delivered. At the same time the irrigation installer did the initial work on the affected heads and buried the downspout output. These 2 guys finished up the weed barrier and then placed the stone which was around 3 sides of our house plus the curbed area around a palm tree in the front yard. The installation was completed by 6pm. The irrigation installer came back on Wednesday morning to verify the irrigation was functioning properly. We are100% pleased with the design and workmanship for our project. My only regret is that I did not call Mansfield sooner. All people I worked with were very professional and easy to work with. We would highly recommend Mansfield Landscaping for any project you may have.

His communication style my be off putting for many because of the embellishments around the process when starting. Upon agreeing to a plan, he finishes the job as if it is his own home. The upfront cost is decided and fixed withoutsurprises, he does whatever is needed to leave you content with the outcome. His workforce is skilled, able to be communicated with, and outcomes quality. You get what you pay for. I have used 4 other companies in Orlando. This was by far the most efficient and clear group Ive ever worked with (done in 5 days for complete front and back landscaping job). While other companies were more personable in first perceptions, the outcomes not the same. He warms up quick. You want the job done right, budget for it and get it done with this team.

After researching and reviewing several landscaping companies, we decided to call Mansfield to completely re-do our front landscaping plus install privacy landscaping in the backyard. From the initial phone call until the completion of the job (8 days later), everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable and professional. Steve listened to our landscaping ideas, made suggestions, and pointed out the positives and negatives of what we wanted. He was honest and straight forward in his approach. His employees, John Wayne and Dustin, worked diligently to provide us with excellent results. With Steve s 30 years of experience in the landscaping business, if you are looking for someone to work quickly, efficiently, and honestly, I would recommend Mansfield and will use them again for any future needs.

My initial phone conversation with Steve left me a bit apprehensive. His process of quoting saying, dont ask me over, only to get my ideas to bring to the next guy was different. His straightforward style is different. But once he arrived, heard my plan - only to enhance what I believed I wanted - left me thinking that I didnt need to call anyone else. His experience, knowledge of materials and design really elevated the outcome. His schedule had him ready to go in 3 weeks. His crew was in and out (on a sizeable patio in front of my house plus another outback) in 2 1/2 days. The final product is just amazing - well constructed and great color matching with house. While under construction he suggested a modification that would cost more and improve the project, but he agreed to hold his price. Could I have saved $ by looking at others? Ill never know but I am one who appreciates good service and great quality. For me, I got an excellent value from Mansfield Landscaping and will never question my choice of contractors.

Owner did what he said he would do. The workers were professional and kind. We are concerned about one bottle brush tree that is not dead but might as well be. We cant call for a replacement but if it dies I will follow up on this reveiw.

My wife and I had been looking for a while (years) for someone who could transform our property into a show stopper. We had made a couple of attempts but it never came out as nice as we wanted. Then a gentleman I work with was going on about how nice a job the guy he had hired did. He kept on and on until one day, at his request, I drove by his place to check it out. After seeing his place I didnt hesitate calling Steve Mansfield to set up a meeting. Fortunately, we just gave Steve an idea of what we wanted and a budget and set him free. Boy was that the best thing (besides hiring him) we did. He kept us abreast of what he planned to do which was constantly changing (as the project took over a week) as a new idea would come to him. I can honestly say I liked all his ideas but wow when he got done it was spectacular. I know he has already gotten a job from someone driving by and my son has now hired him to transform his place. Would I hire him again, absolutely. As a matter of fact we are so happy we plan on doing a second phase in the back yard. In mid-March of 2021, Mansfield Landscaping transformed the front of my yard from an overgrown eyesore to a beautiful, yet simple and relatively carefree landscape. All the overgrown bushes and the (in my opinion) ugly, dark-colored rock were removed from the existing beds. The beds were reduced in size, and bordered with attractive lightly-colored walls. The dark landscape rock was removed and replaced with eye-catching river rock. New plantings, highlighted by two Japanese Blueberry bushes and two fan palms, were added to complete the beds portion of the project. The entire weed-filled front lawn was then removed and replaced with new sod. Every person I dealt with was professional, knowledgeable, and patient in explaining the steps I needed to take to ensure my satisfaction with the completed project. I am so pleased the the work done that I plan on having the back of my property transformed by Mansfield Landscaping in the near future. This company gets my highest recommendation.

We had the rock and plants replaced in the front and back yard of our courtyard villa. We also had lighting updated in the back and curbing installed around the flower beds. We added some sod to the front yard. Pros: Steve listened to what we wanted. He worked to make it easier for our dog to walk off the landing from our birdcage. It is refreshing to have someone listen and try to understand what you are envisioning. Dan obviously knows a lot about plants and was very enthusiastic about what we were receiving. He chose various color flowers and explained how to care for everything. The entire team working with the plants seemed to get along well and worked very hard. They were very excited to show us the plants and the slope they made for our dog. The curbing team did a good job. We have seen curbing at other homes that is not finished off well. The man who did our curbing was very careful and made everything look good on the edges. We did not realize that was such a labor intensive job. He did great! Initially everyone worked with me to accommodate my work schedule arranging the first estimate in the evening and bringing plants over on the weekend for me to view. The plants we received seemed in good condition and were all blooming immediately. We are happy with the lights that were installed, providing better lighting in our back yard. Cons: Rocks were placed over one of the water meter boxes in the flower bed, and we had to locate it and dig it out ourselves. The sod was placed over a sprinkler head in the back yard, and we had to dig that out. When I cut the sod from over the sprinkler, we were left with a deep hole where our small dog walks out on the grass. We did not like some of the sod, so we had to go out and buy our own sod and replace it. The bulk of the work was done the day after heavy rains. So the back yard was a muddy mess for over a week. We had to go out and pull up dried mud off the grass days after the installation. Steve came back for the payment before I came home from work. I was the person who signed the contract, but I had not seen the final product when he came to the house asking for payment. I felt that they cared more about how the front yard looked. If the back yard was not fenced, perhaps they would have done a better job finishing up and cleaning the wall. We have had to clean much of it ourselves. The landing outside our birdcage was left covered in mud. This is where we take the dog out into the yard. Since our dog is very important to us, having the backyard be so muddy made it very inconvenient. Pieces of grass and debris got stuck in her fur for at least a week every time she went in the yard. The back yard is the area where we focus our attention and is the most important to us. The irrigation system was left basically the same, but plants were not necessarily placed where they would get the best water coverage. The planting, irrigation and curbing made original drainage issues into more of a problem in the back yard. Steve had told us when he gave us the quote that we were very particular about what we want in our yard. Others having work done might have been more satisfied. Now that we have finished cleaning up and replacing sod we did not like, we are starting to enjoy the yard more. Overall, Mansfield Landscaping did a good job.

Saw the great reviews and photos and was excited to use this company. The owner, however, is extremely unprofessional. We spoke on the phone for a quote and he yelled at me the entire time. He told me several times the I only quote you once and if you dont sign that day well never work with you again. We do business my way. May be good quality (I wouldnt know we never made it that far) but beware of the owner.

After living with overgrown 20 year old landscaping for 1 1/2 years, I called Steve Mansfield for a complete change. I had three requests: 1) Give me the best looking landscaping in the neighborhood. 2) Take out the island bed. 3) Move the foundation out from the house about 8 feet. In 5 days his VERY SKILLED CREW had put a beautiful wall all the way around the house, installed 6 beautiful palms, installed all new irrigation for the plants, installed LED lights on the palms and planted many beautiful healthy plants. I got everything I asked for and more. It is PERFECT !!!!!!!

I called and asked for a quote. The salesperson told me to watch their estimation video and look for jobs in my neighborhood. I did and looked at all eight jobs that showed up in my village. They said someone would call. I never received the call. I called back up, and a salesperson called me back a day later. He claimed that he called me but got no answer. If he called someone, it wasnt me. He started the call blaming me for not getting the telephone call. He asked about the work I wanted. He proceeded to tell me that some of the things I was asking for didnt make sense and were expensive. I told him I appreciated that and I would still like a price but would reserve the right to work with him to reduce the work to fit the budget if needed. I told him that I was getting two other bids. He lost it and said that he is the only estimate and that I would have just one chance to hire him. I told him that according to the video, they wanted to be the last estimate, not the only estimate. He was just angry the whole call and seemed frustrated by something beyond our conversation. I told him I would like to start over because I wasnt sure what I said to upset him. He said that he wasnt set off, and. If he were, I would know it. They proceed to tell me to find someone else to do the work. Ok, I will find someone else to do the job. My experience is minimal since it is reduced to two telephone calls. My experience was awful, and I hope that others dont experience this kind of treatment.

Mansfield just completed landscaping my front yard. They started Friday and finished on Saturday. Steve starts by working with you on putting together a good solid design. They continue by keeping you in the loop from start to finish. They even modify your irrigation to update it to accommodate the new landscaping. The landscape crew is great to work with and you always have the final approval on hardscape design and plant selection. They clean up the yard when they finish and except for the new look you cant tell that they were ever there. They even provide you with tips on pruning, watering and fertilizing. Overall it was a great experience. I recommend Mansfield and I plan to use them for future projects.

I called Mansfield because our front yard was a mess and we needed our landscaping redone. The crew was very professional they made shore we were completely happy with our results. They installed all new plants rose bushes and even blueberry trees.They also installed large boulders along with new tan river rocks and included several walking paths incorporated in the irrigation system. We hired Mansfield Landscaping to put in a retaining wall along the side of our property in order to rid ourselves of an annoying slope between the neighbors yard and ours. I talked to Steve on the phone on a Saturday and described our project. He was at our house the next day...yes, on a Sunday, to give us an estimate. After we talked about the project and accepted his bid, we began to talk about scheduling the work. He was booked several weeks out (which we had expected). However, he said hed work us in a bit earlier because my wife was going to be out of town; and he wanted her to be able to see the job upon completion. He said the job would be completed in 3 days, and he wasnt kidding. We were impressed. His crew worked long, hard days and were a pleasure to have around; we would step out occasionally to see how things were progressing. You could tell that this crew enjoys working together and takes pride in working hard and making the customer happy. They cleaned up the job site including our driveway and even the street in front of our house at the end of each of the work days. Thank you Dan, Felipe, John Wayne, and Tommy! We cant say enough about how much we were impressed with their work ethic, and their desire to satisfy us with a job well done. We hired Mansfield Landscaping to completely redo our yard; replace the sod, new brick walls, new plants, add several palms, and lighting. We are extremely happy with the results. He gave us excellent suggestions on how to redesign the current landscaping to really improve the whole look of the yard. We were able to go to his expansive nursery and pick out the plants that we wanted. While we were there both Steve and Ann took their time explaining each of the plants and the pros and cons of choosing them. Steve is very hands on; physically shows up to monitor the progress of the crews and maintains excellent phone contact to provide updates. We found all the different crews very professional and exceptional at their specialities. We really liked the fact that they clean everything up at the end of each day.

Steve and his crew at Mansfield Landscaping, LLC did an excellent job of tearing out all the landscaping at the front of my house and installing all new plants, shrubs, and palms. All the crew worked non stop in the extreme heat under the supervision of Armando who did an outstanding job of helping me pick out new plants etc and then suggesting placement of them to show to their maximum advantage. They also added beautiful stack wall and new rocks and finished up the job by leaving everything immaculate. I highly recommend this company and wouldnt hesitate to use the again.

From start to finish, Steve was excellent to work with in a complete overhaul of our homes landscaping. We were specific in our desired layout and foliage, and Steve incorporated our goals into his proposed design, producing an excellent end result (including my wifes dream fruit tree mini-grove). Our landscaping was 15 years old. Mansfield removed all of our old bushes and hedges (that were taking over our house). They brought many plants and bushes for us to choose from. And the cement borders they placed around the beds were a great finishing touch on a beautiful, professional job that was done in a very timely manner. Mansfield Landscaping did a front yard refresh for us, including installation of new sod and the addition of a stone retaining wall. Plant quality is good and nursery stock is quite extensive. Steve was very responsive with answers to questions and his crew did a great job in the heat.

Steve is fabulous to work with. The man knows his business. We had no idea what we wanted to do and he came in with his suggestions that we immediately thought were great. His crew is A-1. My neighbor and I were driving our golf cart down Hillsborough in The Villages. Our friend was behind us and there was a cart behind her. The driver of the Mansfield truck was on a side street lateral to us and started to pull out right in front of this. My friend, the driver I of cart I was in, had to slam on her brakes to avoid us being hit. We heard our neighbors screeching brakes behind us and those of the cart behind her. Our carts are limited to 22 mph, so we were not speeding by any means and we had the right-away on this thoroughfare. The driver of the truck immediately flipped us off! We were shocked as he was the one who almost caused the accident. I called and spoke with a person who said he was the manager, however I suspect it was the same driver. He began yelling at me telling me he had a camera in the truck and the driver had stopped at the stop sign. I asked him about the driver s first response to flip us off and all he would do is continue to tell me how he had a camera in the truck, he s been in business 30 yrs, etc. He was so rude I finally hung up on him. Very poor business practice. It would have behiived him to apologize and left it at that. Now we are posting this on websites. We were all very shook up. A simple apology would have been nice.

We were searching for landscaping for our front yard and really only new we wanted a fresh look with low maintenance. I gave Mansfield a call and Steve was here the same day. He walked my wife and I through the process and guided us to the plants that would be right for our area. In less than a week our job was complete and the service was great. This company continues to haunt me even two years after the initial service. I cant stress enough how terrible my entire experience with this company was and still is. I am still spending money fixing things they did wrong from the original install. I found this company from a google search and Im so glad I did. I spoke with Steve over the phone he was very upfront with pricing. A day or so later he came out and walked our yard and gave me and my husband a great vision for what we were looking for. Mansfield Landscaping did a fantastic job replacing my rock landscaped yard with a new sodded lawn. In addition, they created a walled-in area with beautiful shrubs. They removed dead palms and planted a lovely magnolia - they also quickly replaced a hibiscus bush that didnt survive relocation. I am extremely happy and would highly recommend their services.

We recently built a home and had our landscaping done by Mansfield Landscaping. We could not have made a better choice. Steve is straight forward, knows plants, shrubs and trees and after spending time laying out our design, he invited us to go out to his nursery and look over the plants he thought would look best. We spent an hour and a half walking around and never felt rushed. When the team showed up to begin there was no hesitation on what needed to be done and those men worked hard for 2 solid days in hot humid weather and pop up showers! They were unbelievably polite and respectful. Periodically they would ask us to come out and inspect what they were working on to see if we were happy with plant placements before they were put in the ground! Mansfield Landscaping went above and beyond what we had expected. The crew were polite, professional and completed everything in a timely manner. They went out of their way to make sure our landscaping was completed just the way we wanted. What a difference they have made in our backyard!

I called the office because a plant had been taken out that I wanted and I needed to take my cat to the vet but was afraid to leave. The person who bid the job immediately called me. He was very angry and insulting. He insisted that I told him to take the plant out. To solve the problem he bought 2 similar plants and ripped out the plant that matched the first one taken out. When he came to collect his check I told him that it was not the same plant and again he told me I didn t know what I was talking about. And again he was rude and belligerent. I should have insisted that everything I said was put in writing and suggest that he needs to do that for other jobs because he does not remember correctly. Furthermore I had 3 bushes, 2 plants and a tree encircled by concrete edging which I asked to be saved for me to use elsewhere. That was not done. While the end result looks nice, and I have purchased the correct plants to replace the ones which were taken out, this experience leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and a very low opinion of Mansfield Landscaping.

Couldnt be more pleased with the outcome of our landscape project by Mansfield Landscaping. Weve had lots of compliments from neighbors and friends. Steve Mansfield was true to his word and delivered more plants than actually needed. This allowed us to pick and chose the plants we wanted. For the larger items, we went to his nursery and were able to select 5 larger palms - Steve was extremely helpful when making these selections. Two weeks after our initial meeting with Steve, his crew was at our house to start the project, and it was completed in about 2-1/2 days. This included removal of our existing planting in the front and rear of our home. Many of our existing plants were relocated and incorporated in the new landscape. The crew, lead by Cody, was extremely accommodating, helpful and patient with us as we moved plants around and positioned them to our liking. We will definitely use Mansfield for any future landscape project and highly recommend them.

It is amazing how fast everything happened. We went to Mansfield on a Saturday. We picked out everything we wanted and they installed the landscaping on the following Friday. Steve and his crew did an amazing job with our hardscape renovation. Steve personally took the time to meet with us at his outdoor showroom to go over our plans. We walked in with a basic idea and Steve totally took it to the next level, giving us options we didnt know existed! After formulating the game plan, Steve walked the grounds with us showing us different plants that would work well together and allowing us to choose which ones would be part of our new landscaping. When install day arrived (right on schedule!) the Mansfield crew was here right on time to begin transforming our basic landscaping into the garden we had always wanted. The crew was polite, professional, clean, and extremely good at what they do. In the course of just two days, they completely transformed our front yard. Once the work was complete, the crew cleaned up everything and made sure there wasnt anything out of place, or any leftover debris. We are very happy with the landscaping work completed by Mansfield. When we finally decided to make landscaping changes we stopped by the nursery. Steve explained the process and asked several questions about what we wanted as a finished project. He came out the same day to walk around the house and make suggestions. We switched out mulch for rock chips. He also suggested putting in hard stand sprinklers in the beds vice the drip hoses. Excellent idea. He provided good information on moving/removing or relocating plants to get a more pleasing appearance in all beds. Work was delayed because of rain but still completed on time as promised. Ron and his crew were great. Neighbors have been extremely positive in their comments on the completed work.

We are very satisfied with the quality of workmanship provided by Mansfield Landscaping. They returned phone calls quickly and we ended up loving our new landscape.

First, be aware that Mansfield offers an extended warranty to anyone who gives him a five star review. Im willing to forgo that. For the price I paid for an elevated patio with pavers, more than some other quotes Id gotten, I expected a finished job. What I got was plopped into place with no effort to tie it into the sloping surrounding yard. My husband and I, both in our 70s, have put in many many hours of hard work finishing the job, including picking up cigarette butts left on the ground. The subcontractor, Paradise Pavers, who placed the actual pavers were efficient and did a good job. Mansfields men did things like drive across my front yard, narrowly missing the drainfield and leaving ruts because he didnt want to back up a few feet and wait 2 minutes for another truck to get out of his way. Luckily, we were able to use some of the huge pile of sand, nearly half a truckload, Mansfield left in our yard to fill in the ruts. Also luckily, we do have a tractor with a bucket so we were able to move the rest of the sand to a spot out of view. Steves solution to an azalea plant ruined by being run over near the work area was that I could drive to Yalaha and pick out a replacement. He didnt offer to plant it for me. The finished patio is acceptable and worth probably 3 stars or more. The aggravation caused and all the work we had to do brings it down to only one or two. With the work weve done it no longer sticks out like a sore thumb. Mansfield might be good at planting a typical Florida landscape but I wouldnt use his company again for anything since he wanted to argue with me and talk over me every time I asked a question. When I was unhappy with some of the work done, Steve said it was my fault for not telling his men to do it differently. Not my job to supervise his crew. But when we had pointed out an error that would have caused major problems for the paver crew, his worker argued with us and we had to insist. Sorry to run on so long, but the whole thing was a bad experience.

This company was so helpful and very good at communicating with me when I needed more information about landscaping and plant material. I didn t know they did landscape architecture, irrigation, sod, pavers, patios, cement, pergolas, and so much more. And they re open for retail for smaller plants and trees as well! I went on their website to thoroughly look around before using this company and I have a few neighbors who used their company as well as myself and they are so happy! I had my entire lawn resodded by Mansfield and my lawn is as green as ever! I don t care what anyone says, I ll use this company for all of my future architecture and lawn endeavors!

I would like to express myself regarding this company and the service they TRIED to provide for my yard. First, the owner will never stop talking. He would not let me ask questions regarding my lawn and the concerns I had with what could be done. That was one red flag of many to come. Second, the ordering of sod....lol. What a joke. Kept on putting me off by using the ordering of sod as an excuse for the delay on doing the job that I hired them to do. Third, the scraping of the old lawn. They came out to prepare my lawn for the new sod....and completely trashed my yard. They did not remove all of the old grass AND while doing the scraping they cut my cable wire!! Took me two days for Spectrum to come out and put a new cable in. Finally, I had enough of the horrible job they had done thus far and the putting off the job due to rain (unbelievable) the owner got smart with me over the phone and I fired him on the spot. He told me that he was gonna come to my home and place dirt all over my yard. The police got involved and he better not come to my home. To reply to the reply. It really is amazing how you now try to be professional now when before you were not. The details of everything that transpired have been given to the Lake County Sheriff s Office who called and spoke with you ..Steve... and the police officer who spoke with you totally agreed with me that your attitude is exactly what I described to the police. That you even treated the police officer in the same disrespectful way you treated me. So, try to do your do diligence by smoothing things over for your viewers BUT trust me when I say that a report has been filed with police and if anyone shows up to my home will answer to the police who are well aware of the situation.

Mansfield did landscape in our front yard and back yard. They added beautiful trees and plants. They worked with other contractors to do concrete work for the us. The first time we were not sure but when we hired them they designed a plan. They brought out many different plants and trees and set them in different areas and then helped us decide what to do. After years of trying different things in our front yard, we decided it was time to have it professionally done. Steve came out on June 15th, explained what they would do and gave us an estimate that we accepted. We were having a party on July 4th and I was hoping some work would be done by then. The week before the 4th a crew showed up and started work. We had a couple of little problems but Steve promptly came out and agreed to change a couple of things. The crew was out again on July 3rd, made the changes and completed the job. We are extremely pleased with the end result.

I am amazed at how many positive reviews there are of this company. My experience after the work was done was so awful that I still tell stories about it to other people. I really only had a couple minor things that I needed them to come back out and fix. The owner, Steve, was easily the rudest and most unprofessional business owner I can ever remember dealing with. I felt like I was talking to a child in both his logic and how he acted. After months of repeatedly trying I ultimately got a little money back but I really just wanted the stuff fixed that I was promised would be fixed. This warranty that they constantly refer to is pretty much a joke. Maybe I am in the minority because there are so many positive reviews but my experience was so bad and the owner was so rude that I feel like there is more to the story behind all these positive reviews. Buyer beware.

We chose Mansfield after seeing many of their completed jobs in our neighborhood of Pine Ridge. They offered a quick start date. On the first day they brought out many extra plants to offer different color options. The stack walls, plantings, rock ground cover, and driveway pavers came out beautifully. Our landscaping is gorgeous. We cannot say enough about how pleased we are with Mansfield Landscaping. The original landscaping around our home needed an update. We contacted Ron at Mansfield and he designed a plan that incorporated stack walls, stone, new bushes, and a patio. We were the talk of the neighborhood! People we didnt know would stop by and ask who did our landscaping. Our neighbors comment on it every time we see them. Everyone was amazed at how hard and how fast the crew worked. We recently had our front yard landscape upgraded by Mansfield Landscaping. We had visited their nursery and liked the variety and quality of their plants. We had driven past other homes that had been done by Mansfield and were pleased with what we saw. We contacted Mansfield Landscaping by phone when we had decided we were ready to proceed with our project. Ron came out within a day to go over a plan, the cost, and an estimate of when they could do the job. We were pleased that we did not have to pay anything until the job was done to our satisfaction. Mansfield s crew started our project within ten days. They were there when they said they would be and installed a beautiful hardscape and plants within two and a half days. They cleaned up the worksite at the conclusion of each days work. We are extremely pleased by their design, their work ethic, their installation, their willingness to work within our budget, their no pressure presentation, and our finished project.

Wow just wow, where do I start! I am calling this job phase one because I want more! Ronnie sold me on Mansfield in the first 5 minutes after meeting him, he was easy going and very patient. we wanted to update the landscaping that had been neglected and was overgrown. Also wanted the mulch changed and curbing added. The crew brought many more plants than were needed but that way we could choose and see how thing would look. The results were very pleasing. I would use them again for any landscaping needs.

Our new home in The Villages came with standard landscaping, which really wasnt bad. We decided, however, to upgrade the appearance and reached out to Mansfield Landscaping after reading reviews in Talk of the Villages. Steve gave us a very detailed description of the services they offered, and explained our options. We did our research regarding possibilities by going through the photo gallery on the Mansfield website, selecting palms, plants, curbing, and rock types we liked. Ron then came to our home and asked us how we visualized the front of the home looking. We showed him the photos we had selected, possible placement of palms, and he took it from there. The crew that performed the work (Ron, Cody, John Wayne, William, and Anthony) were EXCEPTIONAL.....hard working, polite, accommodating, and meticulous. They obviously take great pride in their work. We could not have envisioned the results we received three days later. What a dramatic positive change to the appearance and curb appeal.....it almost appears as if were driving up to a different home. Great service I had to delay my start time for three weeks called and no problem. Called five days before I returned they scheduled me right in. best people to work with in landscaping my third job wished I had called the the first two.

We had a great experience with Mansfield Landscaping. We met with Ron the day we called. They started the job exactly when they said they would! We were working with them long-distance for the install & were able to face time with the plant person to pick out our plants & look at the progress. We only had one small change to make & it was completed the next day. What a great experience...especially since we are Village part-timers! Ron & his crew made it so easy for us. The work Mansfields crew preformed for us is great. However, there was a disconnect between what we thought we were getting and the actual end product. While the new patio and plants look good, I doubt we will use Mansfield Landscaping again.

I called and spoke to him this morning about getting some sod. Said he would be open till at least 2:00. I drove there which took about 45 minutes one way, and at 11:30 am he was all Closed Up! I called the phone number I had called this morning and it went to voicemail. I told him I was in his driveway and no one was there! I went Way Out Of My Way to go to his Business!! Very Inconsiderate of him!! This Man Has a Very Bad Reputation where I live and Now I Know Why!! This Was Not Nice!

Wow the rudest human being Ive ever spoken to! I found them on Google with good reviews so I called to get an estimate as we want to redo our ENTIRE backyard. The gentlemans first question as soon as I told him why I was calling was First of all how did you get our number to even call?. Then he asked whats the timeline. I said once we get HOA approval for the design we want. Then he went off on how HOA cannot do that and they would not do an estimate until we draw something up for HOA approval then would they come give an estimate. He told me to draw anything up to get HOA approval then theyd come out. We are honest and wont lie to our HOA with what we plan to do! Well, we are trying to follow our HOA rules and not get into it with them in regards to what they legally can or cannot do. We dont know what design we want hence the call for a custom landscaping design company! The gentleman not only huffed and puffed he sound annoyed and his tone was as if his eyes were rolling the entire time! You just lost a potential customs that couldve given you big bucks and great referrals! I have never been so turned off by someone just by a simple phone call! You sir have been the rudest person Ive ever spoken to! Sorry I guess you dont want to make money! And sorry if you were having a bad day but from other reviews Ive seen it seems as if youre just an overall rude company!

Terrible, costly experience with this company. If I could give them a zero star, I would. It cost me several thousand dollars with a reputable company to fix their poorly designed, water feature that constantly leaked. It looked no where close to what I had asked for. I made the mistake of paying them. Do not believe when they say satisfaction or money refunded. I have never spoken to a more rude and obnoxious person as Steve, the owner. No response from them even after I sent a text and a letter with pictures of the problems. I wonder how long it will take for them to take down this review.

My landscaping project came out beautifully!! Mansfield was at my house to give me an estimate within 2 days of my call and completed my job within 10 days of contacting them. I was able to pick out the stone at the convenience of my house and he hardscape looks wonderful! I know Ill enjoy this for years to come!!

Is there a 6 star rating?! After doing some research, Mansfield Landscaping was our ONLY choice for our front yard job. We knew we wanted stone walls and hopefully an island, but really had no knowledge of trees, plants or what would survive in central Florida. Steve explained climate zones, sketched out what he thought would work (it was exactly what I had envisioned!) and then took us around his large nursery pointing out a variety of hardy plants. The job was done quickly and it is stunning! Its better than we imagined and we are thrilled! Neighbors have complimented on it and people we dont even know are slowing down when they drive by for a look. We wont hesitate to use Mansfield again when we are ready to landscape the back yard.

We interviewed and got estimates from three landscaping companies who do work in The Villages before deciding to go with Mansfield. Ron was very helpful in the design for our project and Steve allowed us to pick out the actual triple Sylvester palm tree which is the centerpiece of our landscaping. The crew that performed the work were incredible. The guys were hard working, polite, accommodating and meticulous. They obviously take great pride in their work. Nearing the end of our project, my wife asked Ron if he could plant a couple of Bush Daisies just outside our lanai instead of the shrubs originally planned for that spot. Ron said he did not carry those plants but he would see what he could do. Less than an hour later he came back with 4 beautiful Bush Daisies and installed them! Contacted Mansfield for an estimate on a landscaping job at our house. We wanted to extend the stacked wall all around the house and change the landscaping filler from mulch to rock. We got the estimate on Wednesday and they started the job on Friday and finished on Saturday. Quick and easy and it looks great. Mansfield Landscaping is who you want to do your landscaping with. These guys installed within 24 hours of purchase and had it installed within 45 minutes of delivery. They are courteous, give great instructions on care of the plant/tree and make sure your yard is cleaned up when they leave. They also went above and beyond by putting down weed block and rocks we purchased so we didnt have to. NICE JOB!

Like many homeowners in The Villages, privacy in the backyard is an issue. My husband and I visited Mansfield Landscaping in Yalaha, FL. We worked with Steve. Our goal was privacy and tropical feel behind our lanai. Steve walked the nursery with us making recommendations and offered suggestions to the design. It was a pleasure to walk this nursery. Looking at the nursery from the road one could not imagine the abundant selection they offer. Product is organized in rows that can be easily walked. Steve allowed us to tag the plants we wanted. We purchased 7 beautiful palms along with a three Philodendrons Selloum. Also the price of our plants were much more reasonable than that other nurseries we visited. One week later we were notified they would be coming to install our product. We were amazed how efficient and quick the process was. The landscapers were professional, personable, and hardworking. I was also impressed they planted other plants I already had at my home for me as well. It is wonderful we now have our privacy and our tropical garden!

We were amazed that the crew of 5 managed to get it all done in 1 day despite having to dig up a huge bush with many deep & thick roots as well as enduring an absolute 1 hour + monsoon. Our neighbor had used Mansfield Landscaping and was pleased. As a result, we went to the nursery to discuss our needs. We wanted to place some plants to afford more privacy between our house and the adjoining house. The Chinese Fan Palms suggested did precisely that. The palms provided were very nice and look as though they have been there for years. We were very pleased with both the product and the service provided.

After one and a half years of looking at the work of various landscaping companies we selected three to talk with. The Mansfield team presented a clear picture of what they provided and how they delivered. We provided some criteria for the plants we wanted and they brought 40 plus plants on site and we picked and placed them once the stone walls were in place. The onsite crew members were very patient offering suggestions and rearranging plants until we were completely satisfied. Their irrigation team took care of any changes that were necessary in the system and the curbing teams execution and cleanup was amazing. Once all of the work was done a quality of service inspector came by to make sure we were completely satisfied. The inspector reviewed how to take care of each plant with us. I m more than satisfied with the services provided by the Mansfield team; so much so that I just contracted with them to do some additional work around my lanai.

Mansfield brings more plants & trees than you need so you can pick and choose and not be limited in your choice, or you can go to his nursery and pick out exactly what you want. He is on the job in a matter of days, and works until the job is completed and meets your satisfaction. Steve Mansfield does everything possible to satisfy his customers, and you dont pay a dime until the job is completed. He does beautiful brick work around the gardens, and when he finishes you dont have a bunch of 2x4s holding up your palms for months. My husband and I had been driving around for weeks looking at various landscape jobs in the villages and found just one place that we both really loved. We happened to be looking through Nursery web-sites and in looking at the photo gallery we happened to see pictures of the house that we loved under Mansfields Web site. So we decided to go to the nursery to see what trees they had and how their prices were...(after going to a couple of other local nurseries we were shell shocked at the price of palms! ) What we found was a great relief! The tree and plant prices were very reasonable and looked much healthier than many we had seen at other places. Being complete novices to Florida plants we sat down with the owner, Steve, and he gave us a very thorough education on palm trees - so we felt confident in the decisions we were making. We had decided that we did not want to do the FULL landscaping job all at once and wanted to start with just the trees so we could then fill-in later as we decided on what we wanted to plant...Steve and his son Ron, then walked us throughout the selection and helped us decide on 9 beautiful 18 ft Palms which they gave us an excellent price on. We set up an installation date for later that week - and Steve called and said they could come a day earlier if that worked for us - which was great as we had company coming in the next day! Ron and a crew came out to do the install, finished the planting in one day, removed some bushes etc that we knew we didnt want and the end result is beautiful - it has changed the whole look of the house....we LOVE it! Even though this is only step one of our landscaping - we are certain that we are going to be using Mansfield for our future expansions!

My landscaping is beautiful! I went from having the ugliest yard in my 59 Villas to one of the very nicest! I really like the way the supervisor, who has been with them for many years really knew what he was doing and was super nice and a good communicator. Steve, the owner is almost annoyingly more than eager to please:) He let me come in on a Monday when they are usually closed and listened to exactly what was important to me - this particular kind of wall that looks like Mica, and showed me the exact stuff I wanted and made sure he showed me plants with various colors and that are hardy. One week later to the day the job was finished - that was yesterday. They just kept working through the pouring rain. Steve came out on Sunday to inspect the work and made a few comments to the workers.

INCREDIBLE WORK BY MANSFIELD LANDSCAPING!! After obtaining numerous landscaping estimates to help transform our extremely large, unattractive corner lot in the Village of Largo we hired Mansfield. We sure made the right choice!! The owners, Steve and Ron, were extremely professional and prompt and spent a lot of time talking with us on the phone and in person to make sure we got what we wanted. As promised, they started the work 10 days later and COMPLETELY transformed the look of our entire home!! Our property went from the eyesore of the neighborhood (a quote from one of our neighbors) to stunning!! I am not exaggerating one bit. During the time Ron and his excellent crew were planting the 11 very large palm trees and countless plants and flowers and the past week when weve been watering all the landscaping at least 100 people have stopped by in their cars and golf carts to comment on what an amazing job Mansfield did!!! We couldnt be happier and can 100% recommend them to everyone. I will be posting some before and after photos on the Talk of the Villages website in the very near future.

Job completed Nov 2013. Outstanding quality plant materials,selection, and excellent workers! Steve and Ron were very helpful in the initially designed, listened to our wants, and came over to our new home to discuss the design. We picked and tagged our palm trees and other plants we liked by walking through his vast nursery. When the work began, he brought over may more plants for us to choose from. Amazing! His work team (we had 5 workers) worked well together, cooperative in moving plants round so we found the perfect mix and placement. Steve came in under budget and on time even though, he had two additional deliveries of pebbles for our beds because he wanted to do the job right! Highly recommended!

From start to finish we were extremely pleased with their professionalism, suggestions and results. Ron was great to deal with. Hes courteous and knowledgeable. Had seen other homes with the Mansfield sign and liked the look of their work. Called them on Tuesday for a quote and the work was complete by Saturday night. Ron supervised the entire job and made sure it was done to our satisfaction. Was totally surprised when the irrigation portion of the job was quoted as not to exceed $300 but actual charges were $110. Usually you can plan on writing a check for at least the $300.

We had a great experience with Mansfield Landscaping. We visited the nursery and saw how healthy the plants were and then sat down with Steve and developed our own concept of palm and shrub borders for the side and front of our house. The workmen did an excellent job and you could tell they cared about how the plants were going in. We now get a lot of very positive comments from neighbors and strangers alike. People are calling it The Botanical Garden! Mansfield Landscaping is a professional landscaper. They did a great job!

We just moved into our Village s home last fall and had many expenses with new furnishings, but we really wanted to have at least a couple of palms now and did not want to wait another year until we could afford to redo our landscaping. After checking with a couple of other nurseries we were very surprised at how much lower the prices were at Mansfield Landscaping. The owner, Steve was very knowledgeable about where trees should or should not be planted. We were given as much time as needed to pick out and tag the exact trees we wanted on our own, but if we had any questions he was just around the corner to answer them. The trees are beautiful and of good quality. We look forward to working with them in the future to give our yard that professional look that we see so many of our neighbors have after using Mansfield Landscaping.
