Had them in our community for 2 yrs and lots of expenses! When we switched companies, new contractor found so many buried sprinkler heads! And someone (when they were outbidded) came in and messed up the whole program of the sprinkler maps! A lot of work for our new company!

I had just bought a house with a sprinkler system that wasnt turned on for a year, and i had no prior experience, so i hired them to come start it up and fix any problems associated with it so i could use my sprinkler system. The first time they came, they said it was all good but one line had weak pressure and wasnt fully working, he asked to check out the plumbing downstairs and took one look up at the pipes on the ceiling and said oh thats the problem, wrong type of pipes wont get enough pressure, then left. When he left i went to the system to test it out and the very first line didnt pop up, went to check it out and found a sprinkler head completely buried and broken with the water just flowing out, which was why the rest of the line didnt pop up, not the pipes. Called them back to come finish what i paid them to do to just replace that one connector for the one sprinkler, and the charged me again, and did more work even though it was good when they left the first time. Two more times they had to come out and told me they replaced things and its good and charged me for me to find out later it still had problems. The last time i had them come they said it wasnt all good and that things need to changed. But they didnt shut off the lines that didnt work, or stop the system, i had to find out from my neighbor who walks his dog very earlier in the morning that my sprinkler is just leaking all over the side walk. So i had to pay for them to come out 5 times, to do one job, that still isnt done. And every time besides the last time they said it was fixed and working. These people are a joke, use anybody else.

Got my system a few weeks and I am super impressed by the install. Had 5 zones put in with the wifi controller. Product works great. I was pleasantly surprised on how well they covered the lines the ran. Had one little issue pop up and they came out same day to resolve it. Looking forward to having the greenest grass this summer.

Pre-paid for fertilization this year. Still have not received the early spring treatment. Have called and emailed several times asking when they will be coming and never get a response. Someone answered the phone one time and said they are really busy, but will mark my message urgent. Still no response.

I love the professionalism i receive when they come to my house to fertilize and put up my holiday lighting. Top notch organization!

I have been working with Grosse ile since 2006 and they do over 15 properties Condos and HOA for me and have been providing great service and always returned calls. Doug and Greg the Owners were 2 Raw Rookies when they started and now are Seasoned Professionals.

Dave and his crew installed a sprinkler system in our yard. They were on-time, courteous and willing to answer a 100 questions. Additionally they are coming back because I would like to put a lawn ornament up and I want to make sure I don t mess with the sprinkling system in the flower bed. Could not ask for more.

They arbitrarily decided to perform only 1/3 of the service I hired them for, not tell me, and charge me the same amount. I caught them Not fertilizing my back yard. After several phone calls, emails, a variety of excuses, it wasnt until they called me to collect on the bill that I demanded explanation. It was then I was told they are no longer going to fertilize the back yard, no reason why and they are going to continue charging the same price. She offered to cancel my service if I wasnt pleased, not knowing I already cancelled it weeks ago via email to customer service (which she said she monitors lol).

This is a very professional company, including both the In-office staff and the highly qualified workers out in the field.

Don t stand behind their service or product. Paid for grub prevention. Didn t work. Got grubs and they wanted to charge me another $170 to come back. Truegreen doesn t do that. I went back to a company that stands by their products and services. Lady on the phone was not professional. Didn t care that I was leaving and made zero effort to help. I went with them as they offered a veteran discount. Guess what so does Truegreen now. Guess they have more business than they need if they just let customers walk away. Besides not standing by their products and services my yard looks much worse than it did with TruGreen. Seems like for every good review there are 4 bad ones. I d look elsewhere if you re deciding on a quality company that provides results and stands behind their products.

We couldn t be happier with the work that they did for us and we highly recommend them for your in-ground irrigation needs. The quote was very fair, they arrived when they said they would and did a great job cleaning up.

absolutley ridiculous staff , very un-professional with how they handle communicating with customers. Completely understandable that they are backed up and busy with other customers during this time of year with how the weather has been. However , charging a customer more money for a service without explaining to them what the service will be or reason for the service is unacceptable. A tech came out to my place to do routine sprinkler start up , turns out they needed to do more work than expected . I was told by the tech that came out that he would have to let something dry and that he would be back out later that day and not to worry everything will be working fine that day. . He never showed back up , so I called the company for an update . I was frustrated with the lack of communication , but never raised my voice or anything like that. , Everyone i spoke with at the company had the attitude of well we are backed up , why would you even call and ask about this Screamed and yelled at me on the phone about how i was disrespectful , when the bottom line is , I just wanted some type of communication after services , and to be notified if they planned to charge me extra for a service . Chelsea by far was the most ridiculous on the phone and wouldnt even let me talk . Terrible service , terrible communication since I first started using them last year. Trying to cancel service with them and they wont return my calls as well. I Would recommend any other local company in the downriver area.

This used to be the absolute best lawn service. Weve been with them since 2014. The last few years, however, the service has been horrible. We didnt get our first application this year until May 9, a very late to start for the season, not to mention, theyre rates went up significantly. Theyre always full of excuses as to why. Last season, we got our final application at the end of October, again full of excuses. After so many years, I will not be renewing for next year. Worst service Downriver.

David, provided Outstanding Service for us on our lawn sprinkler needs. You should give him a raise and use him as a standard for training your our field staff. He did more than I expected and is always very happy to help answer questions when I ask. I wish more companies were as good at customer service as Grosse Ile Lawn Sprinkler and Fertilizing. Im very disappointed with Grosse Ille Lawn Sprinkler & Fertilizing company. I signed up with them earlier in 2022 for my sprinkler maintenance/winterization --- This season my system froze over and I realized they never came over for to perform the winterization. I called them to ask as to why no service was performed and I received the response of we didnt have the ability to service all of our customers this season. I can only imagine COVID/other logistical issues have contributed to this; however, the *very least* is for the company to inform their paying customers that certain services will not be available this season (I received no phone call/postcard/email, etc.). To make matters worse, I then said well, my system is now broken as it wasnt winterized, and I would like to please get some assistance in fixing my system. I was then told that because it is winter, our services are 3x the price if you would still like someone to come out and look at it --- You can imagine how I felt after this..... In summary, 1) Dont sign on new customers if you do not have the capacity to assist them 2) If you do make a mistake (e.g. not informing customers), attempt to assist them to the best of your ability so you dont lost them to a competitor (like me) Im sure the actual technicians are great at their job (this is not a complaint against them, it is purely against the customer service) -- Consider another company if you are looking for start-up/winterization options for your sprinklers.

TLDR: quality products, responsive, stood behind their install even 4 years later Used them before I installed grass. System went in painlessly. After planting grass, we realized the sprinklers were too low, they came and raised some with no problem. Fast forward 3 years later, I thought I had water pressure issues, they came and rearranged some heads on the zones. Another year later I talked to the owner, he came out, looked at my system and realized the pipe was too small for the size of my yard, they replaced it without issue again! They even helped me when I was having issues with grass dying (I thought it was due to the sprinklers). They brought out the fertilizer guy, told me the disease my yard had and how to cure it. Ive worked with other companies who just leave you high and dry after you use them, not here. I couldnt recommend them enough. I wouldnt even bother looking elsewhere.

I THOUGHT AT FIRST THEY WERE A GOOD COMPANY UNTIL A FEW YEARS AFTER INSTALLATION 2ND ZONE WAS NOT COMING UP. THEY TRIED TO TELL ME OVER AND OVER FOR 4 YEARS,! IT WAS THE CITY AND I WASNT GETTING ENOUGH PRESSURE. PLUS SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO CHANGE SPRINKLER HEADS. I HAD THE CITY COME AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM! I HAD 2 PLUMBERS TELL ME IT WAS THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM. SO FINALLY THIS YEAR THE GUYS CAME OUT TO OPEN SPRINKLERS AND HE SUGGESTED PUTTING ANOTHER ZONE IN!! BECAUSE IT WORKED BEFORE THEY WANTED ME TO PAY $700-$900!!! I CALLED AFFORDABLE SPRINKLERS! THE GUY KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT! HE SAID THEY INSTALLED PIPING THAT WAS BIGGER THAN ORIGINAL( WHICH I HAD TO PAY TO FIX BECAUSE IT LEAKED!) AFFORDABLE SPRINKLERS DID A BUCKET TEST FIGURED OUT WHAT HEADS NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED AND IT WORKED! I READ ANOTHER REVIEW FROM GROSSE ISLE. SAME THING. WAS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! GROSSE ISLE NEEDS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX THEIR OWN MISTAKES. ALSO WHEN THEY SENT ME THE ESTIMATE THEY SAID ON QUOTE FOR $700-$900 REPAIR PROPOSAL WE COULD ALSO RUN A BUCKET TEST AND PERFORM A BACK FLOW PRESSURE TEST BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO SPLIT THE ZONE!!! GUESS YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT WHEN YOU CAME OUT EVERY YEAR FOR 4 YEARS AND BLAMED THE CITY FOR THE WATER PRESSURE!! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND I WAS GOING TO USE THEIR FERTILIZING PROGRAM THIS YEAR BUT NOT AFTER THIS!!! I SAVED $700.00!!! USING ANOTHER RELIABLE, HONEST, AND AFFORDABLE COMPANY!!!

grosse ile sprinkler has always done a good job at a reasonable price

I paid them $130 last year to tell me my pump was bad and needed to be replaced. They have been out 2x this year and I have paid them $400 and still the sprinkler system doesnt work. Said they would re-schedule to finish the job but then I got notice they wont come back out till I paid the $400. $530 to be in the exact same spot I was in seem like poor business.

The Team from Grosse Ile Lawn and Sprinkler came out and installed Holiday lights for us! Could not be happier with work performed. Our house is Beautiful and Just what we needed this Holiday Season. Thank you all so much! We appreciate a Job Well Done!

I Paid My Money To have sprinklers installed . Then They Placed My Sprinklers In my neighbors backyard like how unprofessional is that .... then after I asked them can you please fix it and then THEY GOT MOUTHY WITH ME! Yelling at me like I did something wrong when they made the mistake. They finally fixed the problem after a week and a half Then They Double billed me for their mistake very unprofessional I would not recommend them at all

Doug, Gregg, Chris and the rest of the amazing crew have treated us like family since we started using GI Lawn Sprinklers services over 10 years ago! They ve always been prompt, affordable, friendly, and treated us well. They service our irrigation system annually, fertilizer our lawn, and have even decorated our house with outdoor Christmas lights the last couple years. Would highly recommend using these guys to anyone asking :) PS I have the best lawn on the block!

We use Grosse Ile lawn sprinkler for maintaince of our sprinklers they do a great job, would recommend them as soon as our contract is up for fertilizing going to switch toGrosse Ile for that too.

Dont bother scheduling an appointment. I had an appointment at 4:30pm to have my sprinklers winterized. I even called the day before to reconfirm the time and was told I was all set. They never showed up to do the work. I received a call from the workers at 7:15pm saying they werent going to make it and that I would half to reschedule.

Performed work without consent. Billed twice for items. Not a trustworthy business.

My lawn always looks amazing thanks to these guys and Im going to have them winterize my yard this year. Im also thinking about letting them do my holiday lighting this year. Highly recommend!

Lies and more lies. Said if their treatment didnt work I wouldnt have to pay for it. Even called me for cash while I was in the hospital with heart failure! I didnt even let them finish the season because it looked so bad. I had to call them to even get them to show up for each scheduled application. My lawn looked so much better at the beginning of the season then after they butcherd it. $150 for a fungus treatment that 1. They never applied and 2. You never had it per Michigan state University agricultural dept. Sent me to a collection agency on top of everything else. I have lawyers too you crooks.

I paid this company to winterize my sprinkler system. A pipe froze and broke during the winter and not only will they not fix the pipe but they wont even return my calls.
