I wasn t home today, but I am very confident and don t feel I have to be here when Timothy is providing lawn service because he has been great and always telling me what he was doing, why he was doing it and we ve discussed different things. I don t need to worry if the right application was put down or if it was in the right areas (because I do have some restrictions when it comes to pellets, I don t want them in my dog pen) and Timothy is aware of that when he does go in the dog pen to spray he always unlocks the gate to get in and locks it when he leaves. I never have to worry that I have to check that whoever was here remembered to lock it, because Timothy always does. I am pleased that it looks like he might be the tech I get every time and whether I am here or not I know everything s OK & he s done a good job and I m confident in his service besides that he seems like a great guy. ~ ~ ~ ~ Below is what I posted last time he was here and I don t know why, but it is still sitting here as if I did not send it . I used to do my own fertilizing, etc. I find these people close enough to DIY prices and I dont have to remember to do it, buy the products and then get around to DIYing. I have used them pretty consistently for 30 years and my lawn pretty much always looks as good as anyones.

TruGreen is a great Company! If, per chance, there is ever a problem, they send someone out to fix it!! Great employees and great customer service! Darnell came out today and thoroughly applied our early spring fertilizer, etc.

Canceling is difficult. You have to call them and they will try their hardest to prevent you from canceling. Now, they wont stop calling me even though I told them multiple times to remove my number from their database. Ive been called over a dozen times by their sales team. For this reason, I would never recommend them.

Such a cheater company, Ive service agreement for lawn and trees and shurbs. This year on March they came out and spray on my bushes, which I already cut them off. Ive no idea where they sprayed when Ive no tree on my property now. When I asked to refund my money she said, the service already done so it wont be refunded. Stupid staff and cheater company.

He thoroughly explained that the product that was applied last week to my lawn did, in fact, include the crab grass preventative I was looking for. You could have avoided my dissatisfaction by updating your preset comments to include the actual ingredients and what they are used for. Your preset database needs updating with correct information.

True Green was awesome working with me on my special requests. I had recently spread grass seed in my rear yard and didnt want the fertilizer with crabgrass preventer applied there, since that would also prevent my seed from germinating. So True Green applied just straight fertilizer there in the rear and the fertilizer with crabgrass preventer in the front yard...exactly what I wanted.

Professional, personable, he actually listened and treated my lawn where it was neglected from previous techs. I know I cant but I would love to have this technician treat me lawn the rest of the year. Thank you

Overall, our grass looks great. We had one area with stubborn weeds, but after we called TruGreen, they came out and retreated the area and those weeds are gone.

Daniel A. from Trugreen was very helpful and attentive when he came out to treat my lawn. After talking, he even went back to his truck to get a product to focus on a problem area I told him about. It was nice to see he didn t rush and took time to listen.

Specialist Timothy Knight is the best.

Hannah D. was professional and knowledgeable about what concepts that were being provided even during snow like weather in March to still get the great results of a healthy and greener lawn to flourish even into the early cold stages of the summer.

Sneaky practices. After one season, your account is NOT cancelled. Theyll send you a pre-pay and save letter, then in the fine print tell you that your service isnt cancelled unless you call to cancel. Today we got notification that a guy was coming out for a fertilizer application. He barely walked through half our yard and then stood by his truck for 10 minutes. All the time on his phone yelling at someone. Then we get the invoice saying that their tech covered our 4000 sq ft and knocked on our door but we werent available. Um, I literally sit in front of our bay window where I can see people coming and going while I work. He never knocked on our door. He put more fertilizer on our driveway and sidewalk than on the grass. I could probably count the number of fertilizer pellets in our yard. Paltry at best. $60 for that application. So we cancelled and will not be using TruGreen anymore.

I hired True Green to get rid of creepy charlie s , After 1st application I noticed little changes but after 2nd one for sure you can see different.

No I just said Marquis was our tech I cant even describe how customer friendly he is hes polite hes a gentleman he does his work diligently and he explains to me step by step what the product does and he just goes beyond the call duty I would recommend him to everybody else and whatever you do I want to see Marquis at our property every maintenance otherwise dont send nobody

Horrible service from the beginning. The very first visit, their summary showed what was applied to our yard. I was home at the time and know for a fact they didnt not do the application they claimed to have done. They also did not do the application in our backyard. During this visit, our rear gate was also left open when they left. During the aeration and overseeding service, they punctured the our mainline cleanout cover. Its been over 3 weeks now and it still has not been repaired. The last straw for us was during a visit in which they claimed to have done weed control on the property (stated so on the after-visit summary) however, this was not done. I was home at the time know for a fact no application was completed. Additionally, they originally started off at the wrong property. They did half of my neighbors front yard before realizing and came over to our property. I would avoid using TruGreen unless you want to overpay and not rececive the services youve paid for.

Each technician can always answer my questions and they pay attention to details. My entire .75 acre property is looking better and better each time they complete the applications. I had NO bites on Fourth of July !!! My dogs have NO more ticks on them. Thank you !!!!

They let you know what day they will be at your home, they leave a detailed receipt on your door telling the service that was performed & you can call them anytime to come back out it you notice weeds!!

Tree and Bush Services

Called them to get a quote for lawn care .. the sales person basically read from a script the entire time. I asked to send a knowledgable lawn care specialist for a lawn assessment, so I could show them the issues and speak to them in person to which she replied to tell her about the issues on the phone. I mentioned that it seems like you are just reading from a script and I want to speak to a knowledgable lawn care specialist, and then they hung up on me. Getting a quote online is also not easy. They basically ask for all the information up front and then said we cant give you a quote online. They took all my info and did not give me quote. Bad online practice

UPDATE: Dialed the company made my complaints, they reversed the transaction, with the exception of the cost of the one application which they did perform. It took a few days but they did fix it. I also disputed the charge with my credit card bank, which does tend to escalate things. $26 was only the cost of the first application- half off. In fairness I didnt have all of the information. Their website could be more specific on charges, but really that was on me. I shut down one service and they offered a discount on the other. I truly appreciate it when a company tries to meet me halfway. The National office fixed it up. Mistakes happen and they made good. I have to credit them on that. The local technician was friendly, responsive and tries hard. I will watch their work this summer and if I get the service as promised, I will update. I dont like it when reviews are only complaints because I think a company should get the credit when they work to fix the problem. These guys are the worst. On the phone, they know everything, and everyone else knows nothing. My wife tried to sign up for a $55/ month lawn service package. They precharged my bank account $845.76. This is why I dont like giving a service like TruGreen my bank account number. Now I have deal with the hassle of getting my money back. If I can. My advice, whatever you do, dont give them your banking information. Dont call them unless you like high pressure sales people who are completely dedicated to separating you from your money, and totally ready to trash their companys reputation.

We were excited to use TruGreen and signed up for a plan earlier this year. Our first service went smoothly and the lawn specialist was friendly and informative. We received a notification that a lawn specialist was completing our next service today so we waited patiently. Our app showed that the specialist was only a few minutes away so we knew it would be completed in the morning. Suddenly we received a notification that the service was not completed because landscaping crews were on your lawn we arrived. We do not have a landscaper and neither do our neighbors. Our street was clear and there would have been no disruption to the service. Coincidently my husband was looking outside to see when the lawn specialist would arrived and saw the truck drive right pass our house. My husband called customer service to question why the service was incomplete with a reason that was truly false. The customer service rep was not friendly and was not helpful. After a very long conversation the rep finally rescheduled the service for later today. The lack of professionalism from the lawn specialists and the customer service was frustrating especially since we had such high hopes. We only have a few services left in our plan but this experience will definitely weigh heavy on if we go back to the company.

I would not recommend TruGreen to my worst enemy...they cancel appointments all the time, customer service is a disaster and weed control controls no weeds at all. Literally any other company would be leaps and bounds better than TruGreen. One star is too good for them.

Today 7/13 the service arrived. he put trugreen sign on my front west site lawn, then only spread some in this front west site, not east site and no backyard at all, then left. Is this a cheat! I looked his whole process for my neighbor. The same. Unbelievable if I did not monitor myself. I have all video front and back can prove. If you are customer, please be aware!!!! This is from local Woodridge, IL office.

I was scheduled for aeration and overseeding on Monday so I marked my in-ground sprinklers (~30) with flags on Sunday. Waited all day and got a text at 5PM that they couldnt perform the service. They rescheduled me for Friday so I left the ~30 ugly red flags in my lawn the rest of the week. I also cancelled my lawn mowing service for Saturday because they told me I should wait a week to cut after aeration and overseeding. Well no surprise, same thing happened again on Friday. They were supposed to arrive between 1-6 but instead I get a text at 5PM again that they couldnt perform the service. My guess is the service techs just dont want to do aeration and overseeding because it is more work than fertilizing. I called support and they told me Im rescheduled for next weekend. So now I get to leave the flags in my yard for another week and my grass is going to be out of control because I cancelled my mowing service. Cant wait to see if they show next week. Seems very unlikely at this point. I definitely will not be renewing my TruComplete plan or using TruGreen again. Plenty of other options out there that actually do what you pay for and probably at a lower cost too.

It works great but it s not cheap

My lawn was a disaster and I am truly shocked by the results. I really wish I would have taken a before and after pic.

True Green did very through job in aerating my lawn ; however in the process ; my sidewalks on both sides of the house; part of the driveway; front and back porch were filled with mud. I had to hire power wash company to throughly clean those areas!

The communication is excellent and the service was done quickly! The information regarding our lawn condition really allowed me to understand the status it was in health-wise. Looking forward to seeing how much healthier and greener my lawn will be!!

We have always taken meticulous care of our yard and its been beautifully green. We hired true green to continue that philosophy and expertise for 2 years....they have ruined our lawn. They created while it was wet and it ripped up our entire yard. Its just a nightmare and is going to cost us a fortune to fix this. They are taking no responsibility in making this right. We have been loyal to them and giving them a chance even when there was weeds coming through the lawn. They have no clue as to what they are doing. Do NOT hire them!

Never answer the phone do not want their service and they do not answer the phone so you are not able to cancel.

We live by a pond of standing water and before TruGreen we couldn t be outside for more than a few minutes before being swarmed by mosquitoes. This service has changed the way we utilize our outdoor space.

4 year customer and still get clovers.

They are intentionally lying that they will be treating your entire lawn when in-fact they are only covering the front. I signed up over the phone to have my Entire lawn serviced for weeds and fertilizer. The first day they visited the receipt says fertilizer was applied to entire area and weed control was applied where needed. It does not specify whole yard or only front/side yard. My yard cameras showed they did not do my yard. I called and complained. They came back out but, they did not do the Entire yard again. This time I called again to complain and told them I have cameras on the lawn that show they did not do the work. They came again (in a pouring rain) and put a lawn flier on a stick in my yard but did not do my yard. I called to complain and cancel. They told me it was an error when initially entering my order. How did this not get noticed the 3 times I called to complain?! I have since found out this same experience has happened to my neighbors And co-workers!

Been using them for years with some hiccups along the way but overall been ok. This year was sent to collections after receiving no bill, no phone call no notices or nothing. If the collection company gets my address you would think trugreen had it. Avoid avoid avoid

Watch out .I paid for overseeing and aeration and it was never done. You can tell when aeration and overseeing is done because it s a mess! Originally, I wasn t sure if this was done in the fall or spring. I never saw it happen in the fall so I waited for spring nothing, so I called in the beginning of summer to make them aware. To make a long story short they DID NOT provide me with the product I paid for and wouldn t do their part to resolve the issue. This year I switched to a different provider and guess what I parked in my driveway today and notice right away my lawn was aerated and over seeded.

Ive used Tru green for several years and I still have to call them about weeds and crab grass returning. Grass is not as green as some of my neighbors using different companies. I think its time for me to move on

I signed up for TruGreen this year. The tech stated that my trees are shading my lawn and causing dead spots. I have no trees in my yard!!! I found the lawn flags laying in my neighbors yard and paperwork on my driveway. I HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR OVER A WEEK, OVER 22 PHONE CALLS FOR THE BRANCH MANAGER OR GENERAL MANAGER AND NOT A SINGLE CALL BACK. When they wanted to get my business it was three calls a day and 3 letters a week. But once they get your money all contact disappears. This is what TruGreen calls customer service.

My lawn is awful, customer service is awful, cost of service is awful. After 1st application this spring my lawn looks terrible, bare spots all over! I called to let them know and scheduled 3 different appointments which they didnt show up for 2 and left 2 small bags of grass seed for the 3rd instructing me to rake, place top soil on bare spots and plant seed. I mentioned the price was higher than most and they said they could lower it, apparently they charge as much as they can till you ask for better price. The issue is still unresolved 2 weeks later.

one of the worst companies hands down ive ever had to deal with, along with increasing prices yearly without telling their clients. When you call them, they transfer you around 4-5 times because no one knows which person can help with my request. terrible customer service, alone with that the service itself has been terrible, weed still growing in my yard and all they can do is offer me more treatments that i need to pay for....more of the same treatment im already paying for. what a joke. Green T which was purchased by them had 20x better service than this garbage company

lawn fertilization and recommendations

0 stars BEWARE...TRUGREEN NOT GREEN AT ALL After one trugreen weed application the complete yard is burnt/ruined And trugreen is blaming it on bugs, when the burnt up area is only front and side where they sprayed and no trace of any bugs. Really horrible customer service. Really hard time reaching someone who can really listen and take ownership of what they really did.

Great knowledge and details given about the current condition of the lawn, what was being applied and why it was being applied at this time. Friendly technician.

We are still undecided on the results of the service, as we still have a lot of dandelions and yellow patches. The tech performing the service though, has been efficient and polite.

My grass looks like a golf course

I had the worst case of creeping charlie throughout my whole yard. It overtook the grass in one huge section. In just a few applications True Greens product worked miraculously!!! Their customer service reps are always very helpful and knowledgeable. They even scheduled another extreme weed killing appointment between my scheduled visits to get it under control for free. My grass looks much greener and healthier. I havent had such grass in years and in just a few months there isnt a weed in sight!

Service is not as great as they advertise. My lawn still has weeds and has not become Green as they promise. Secondly, they always schedule a service, give you notification with interactive maps, make you wait for the whole day and then cancel service on their own with no explanation (and feel sorry for the inconvenience caused !!!!). I started my service only couple months ago and I had 2 such experiences already. I would strongly recommend not to go for TruGreen. You will lose your Green notes.

Weve used TruGreen for several years and this is what our lawn looks like. Obviously they did something wrong but several calls to customer service has not resulted in any kind of fix. Its appalling that weve spent hundreds of dollars for our lawn to look like this. Im only giving them one star--even though they dont deserve that, you cant post without any stars.

True Green serviceman does a good job explaining what and why he is servicing my lawn. Also he suggests additional things I can do to maintain a good lawn.

Door to door salesman came and sold me on their $29 firs time application, but the technician took it upon himself to do 2 applications, which cost me $79. I was told the tech did a grub service because they were bad in my lawn........... but I never agreed to that service at that time. Called their 866 number and was told I couldnt get my money back. I cancelled my service and will never do business with TruGreen again.
