Said they had to talk to their boss about the services I was requesting because they weren t sure they did them (weeding and weed preventative) but never followed up with me. They also do not provide free consultations like other companies I ve contacted.

Excellent service and great value. Highly recommend. Responsive and friendly staff.

3rd year now and we have come to terms on expectations versus results. We are in a 3-4 day snow storm emergency. In this case I had no expectation of being plowed until the end, maybe 16 inches in total. However after the first 5 inches we had a lull. They arrived this morning and did an excellent job. I am confident that they will be back when it is over.

Got blow out service for my sprinkler system, easy to use and efficient payment process

We ve used Hansons lawn care for two years now. They consistently skip treatments on the mid portion of my yard. After that, I need to call them and fight with him to get that portion of the lawn treated. Every time they come I have to scan through my security camera footage to find out that they did not do treat that portion. This is unacceptable for any company. I paid them to treat the whole lawn and they consistently skip portions. I have auto pay set up, but they don t hesitate to charge me for the whole lawn. I highly recommend looking for a different lawn care service. Do not use this company.

Hansen s Lawn Care provided me outstanding lawn maintenance late spring - early fall of 2023. We had moved out of the area so we needed a team of professionals who could be counted on in keeping our home looking well maintained as we worked towards selling the home. Hansen s kept the lawn looking wonderful as we received several compliments from our neighbors and friends over the summer on how great of a job they were doing. I highly recommend their services.

I would hire based on great reviews, the fast responses to a couple questions and great convo with Suze, the young lady who answered the phone. Unfortunately, they dont do snow plowing for area I was asking about. Thanks, Suze for the laughs and great p.r. Keep smiling. When I can convince brother he needs help with yard, you folks will be the people I call.

I hate to give a veteran a bad review, but when they send you a price to do leaf clean up one day, and the next day they tell you that they want $110 more without even seeing my property, theyre just trying to rip me off. What at kind of business does that. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.

Hansen s Lawn Care has served us on two occasions over the past few years. My husband is in the military and sometimes travels for many months at a time. Hansen s has offered us a contract with a flexibly set time to cover our lawn and snow removal needs while he s been away. Other companies we ve considered required a year s or whole season contract, so we ve LOVED working with Hansen s! We recently had them remove all our leaves at the end of this past autumn. We had a well-know lawn service for a little over 8 years nd never once recieved an email asking how we were enjoying the service and if we had any comments or concerns! We did from Hansens! I reached out to Hansen s about handling my lawn care while I was away on deployment with the military. Not only did these guys handle my lawn care, but they did it entirely free of charge out of appreciation for my service. Hansen s truly went above and beyond and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who is in need of this service. Thanks a lot guys.

They came out to dethatch and does not look like they did anything as the dead matted grass still visible. Poor service for my $200.

I ve used their service since last summer and had to fire them today. Several reasons why it happened - expensive for the service that is NOT PROVIDED - not responsive to customer needs - very poor communication - absolutely terrible customer service This is an honest review , and I definitely tried to give them a second chance . They treated my property for weed control including landscaping beds (at least I think they did). Then, despite that, some of the areas remained with weeds blooming. I called them initially- the lady Judy on my question if someone can come out and look at it said -no, they do service once a month; she was also kinda indifferent to my simple request . Then, the broken line started - she would call Richard and he would talk to her and she would call me with a worthless answer . She even asked me to SEND HER PICTURES AS A PROOF THAT THER ARE WEEDS ON MY YARD . I mean, has anyone heard of such a thing?- a CUSTOMER CALLS WITH A PROBLEM , please ADMIT IT AND DO A BETTER JOB. I would not call if I didn t have an issue. Even if for some reason I am mistaken please be professional and respond accordingly. Then, they said to communicate via email. Which I did. My weeds were still spreading, and someone- I assume Richard - told me that they came and treated my property. I don t think it happened - but he said they did . I said ok, will see if the situation would get better . It didn t . I called today, no answer, left VM. Called again towards the end of the day, no answer , left another VM. Finally, Judy called me back. This is the dialogue that we had - returning your call Me - is it Judy - yes Me - this Eugene, and I would like to cancel all services - all? Me - yes -ok That s it . Not interested - why, what s the reason. Anyhow- very disappointed I am with all of this. I am a huge fan to support local businesses but these guys don t listen to their customers and I feel like they don t even care. Based on other reviews I am not the only one with similar complaints. Update: it is a response to Richard, to his interesting remarks. You did not call me, you did not leave any VM. Yes, we did conversed via emails without significant progress though . That s the problem- you never listened to me and tried to just argue and prove to me that you did the service on my property . Yes, you asked to meet and discuss , but at that point I was done your business, way done . And you still charged me full price even though I told you that i agreed to pay only for sprinkle and mosquito service . That proves everything said above. If you want make thing right - refund me for the service that was very suboptimal. But I doubt you will do it .

I have been using Hansens now for the last 2 summers and I am very happy with the services provided. My lawn looks great and my garden area looks great from their shrub maintenance that I signed up for as well.

I got bids from other companies but the owner here health with my request personally and with great integrity. I couldnt recommend his company higher. His two guys who did the work were the nicest and hardest working, did a ton of work. I have them a tip which they richly deserved. Wish Id given them more.

My first cut by Hansen s wasn t ideal. Missed / skipped trimming a number of spots including a downspout that is super easy to move and along a fence. Also scalped a big spot next to my driveway as they were cutting too short. My jury is still out but wasn t a good first impression. Update: my 2nd and 3 cuts did not improve as the game a dad after 1 + of rain and they tore up my yard and failed to even trim around downspouts....the same one 3 times. I would strongly recommend finding a different option. UPDATE: With regard to your/Hansen s response on 6/4, I had responded in email that trimming was missed, scalping etc. after the first cut. After the 2nd cut I email that the cut was so so . After the 3rd cut I sent a note that it was too wet for them to cut and went over all the problems. You simply said you would take me off the list wanted me to confirm if that meant the fertilizing as well. You DID NOT offer to come out or fix the poor cuts. So it seems your reply is a ploy to try to CYA with those who may read my review.

I am so happy with Hansens Lawn Care for my snow removal needs. They do a great job, every morning I have been able to come out and my driveway is clear. One time I had to leave at 4am to get to the airport, I called to make sure that they would be able to get my driveway clear and they assured me it would be clear...and they delivered. I would highly recommend them!

Excellent service, moved in two years ago, the previous owner rented the house out for 10 years. Needless to say the yard was very neglected. Hired Hansen s and after 2 years IMO had the nicest/fullest lawn on the block. I did the yearly service package and they were there when the time was right!

Hansen s Lawn Care has been cutting my lawn and clearing my snow for several years. I can depend on them to cut my grass every Tuesday like clockwork. I appreciate them clearing my driveway in the wee hours of the morning. They have been great.

Weve had very good luck with Richard and his crew. They are reliable, respond promptly when texted with issues, the pricing is reasonable, and they stand behind their work. And well continue with them again this season. If Google would let me I would probably give 4 3/4 stars. Weve had some issues with sprinkler heads (their zero turn machines dont seem to like mine), although in fairness Richard has replaced them all at his cost. And weve had some issues with weed control in spots. There again, Richard has always followed up and made it right. I think the bottom line is, Richard has been fair and responsive, and thats head and shoulders above some of the other services weve used in the past. I have no hesitation in recommending Hansens to friends.

I highly recommend Hansens Lawn Care for snow plowing!! Richard and Jay Jay have been terrific. They are always pleasant and accommodating. They not only plow out our three car driveway but they also shovel the sidewalk up to the front door. Richard always comes in a timely fashion so we can get out. We have called him several times when we had to get to work early in the morning or get in and out of our driveway and he comes right away. There were a few times when there were less than two inches of snow so Richard did not plow, however, because we live in the first house on the curve in a cul-de-sac, we get a HUGE pile of snow when the city plow comes. I called Richard and he made a special trip to plow out the end of our drive way so we could get out. For the times there were at least two inches of snow, he made a special trip again after the plow came to clear the end of our driveway. Talk about excellent customer service and responding to our needs!!!

Weve used Hansens Lawn service for several years. The dandelions have grown faster than the grass, and the snow plow has removed the grass along the driveway every winter. This spring Maplewood got 22 inches of snow; Hansens plowed once before the storm had finished. By the time the snow quit falling, we couldnt get out of our driveway. We phoned Richard, who told us that We dont plow for blowing snow. We said that all of Maplewood got 22 inches and it wasnt blowing snow. He refused to come, so we fired him. Interestingly, he not only didnt mow our grass after being fired, but he also quit two other neighbors, claiming incorrectly that we had fired him on behalf of the other homeowners.

I reached out to Hansens Lawn Care late in the season, and explained that due to some surgery I needed to have I would not be able to take care of my lawn or the rest of the season. Hansens came to my aid and exceeded my expectations. I am particular about my lawn, and they did a better job cutting & trimming than I do. Thanks!

My wife had a similar bad experience with Hansens in August 2015. We wouldnt give them any stars for the way we were treated. Google made us give them one. We run a business. When you make a commitment, you should follow through. That wasnt our experience with this company.

I used Hansen Lawn Care service for last 4 years to mow my lawn, fertilization, winterize irrigation and snow plowing. Richard is the best !! He is professional and his customer service is outstanding. My experience with him has been outstanding. He is prompt with his service and you can trust him. I even shared my garage code with him and he would help with watering my flower beds or even put the trash can inside my garage when we were out of town. I highly recommend his service. Set up mowing service on 8/28/14, they never showed up as scheduled. Called to ask what was up, they said theyd be out the next day, and never showed again. They wont answer phone calls, voice mails, or emails. I have left 2 VMs and another email and they refuse to call back. Tried calling a couple more times before posting this review, but nobody picks up.

Very professional and reliable. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for high end service, at really fair pricing.
