ERS LawnScapes in Winter Haven

Ron and ERS was signed to a year contract with our HOA (226 homes). It was a struggle to get the crew out in a timely manner and they missed mowings that were not weather related. When they arrived as scheduled, attention to detail was lacking. Large spots would be missed, entire blocks would go without edging. The board received constant complaints. On multiple occasions I had to break up physical altercations between the workers they hired. Workers hurled cuss words and racial slurs like commas while screaming at one another. They also did not have adequate transportation for their crew and they would put several employees and their tools ON TOP of small compact cars to drive them around which is an unacceptable liability issue for us when on HOA owned property. We provided copious documentation (including audio/video of the fights and transportation) and feedback over a period of months, but the service and professionalism was not brought into line with the signed contract. We eventually had to terminate the contract with Ron early due to not meeting the terms they agreed to. Looking at the reviews, it seems like they do a fine job for individual properties, but took on more than they could handle with our community and could not deliver. If you are considering them for a large contract I would encourage you to include a clause that allows you to withhold payment until the terms of the contract are met or put them on a probationary period before you're committed. Due to this bad experience, this is now standard language in our landscaping.

Would really have liked to work with this company after seeing the other reviews and his quick arrival to give me a quote.We agreed to terms, agreed on a start date, but he never showed up or responded to text messages. It is so unprofessional. If you don't want to or can't do the job; just say so!
