Yard Care Help in Winston-Salem

**Edit: big bummer- they ghosted me after two years and left me trying to find a new lawn care company this year instead. I had to email more than once to receive a response saying that they will only do a certain schedule now, where as they were willing to work with me before. When I asked for clarification, I was ignored again. I understand the change in policy, but with the way the communication was, it left me in a tough position, because I was relying on them at the time. I did think so highly of them that I definitely hoped for clearer communication. I was THRILLED to find a veteran owned company who is giving back to those who have served. I got two free services and they were very prompt and did an excellent job. I’m definitely going to continue my services with them.

My wife and I just bought a home in Winston-Salem but we haven't moved in yet. Unfortunately the sellers left the yard way overgrown and I wouldn't be there for a few weeks to mow it myself. I reached out to Yard Care Help and I am extremely impressed with their service. So impressed with the service and the value that I ended up hiring them to mow for the next 12 months. My original plan was 1 or 2 mows from this team and then I was going to take over once we moved in. The value they offered to mow it on a monthly contract for the next year was so amazing that I could not say no. Honestly cannot recommend these guys enough.

Response to the owner's latest update: Keep going. Let everybody see just how professional you are. Response to the owner's updated response: Outright lies. There was no security camera footage to submit. You didn't file the claim until a full two weeks after the incident. I have the paperwork from your insurance provider to prove that. And our neighbor, who's yard you were mowing at the time, indicated that they fired you over the incident, among other issues. We're currently working as a community to have you blacklisted with our HOA and I think you know that since you haven't been seen in the area in over a month. This company is owned by Damein Howell. He was mowing the lawn at my neighbor's house across the street and kicked up a rock that struck my house and caused damage. When I informed him of this, he was initially apologetic and seemed like was going to do the right thing. Since then, he has decided to completely deny responsibility for the damage that I personally witnessed him cause to the front of my home and will not return my calls. Be careful. This guy DOES NOT CARE if he causes damage while doing his work. He's also trying to leave HIMSELF 5 star reviews to counter act his negative reviews. Reported to Google.

I’m not sure if this company is still in service. I used the online schedule for service for Saturday. I received a confirmation email for service. No one ever came to my home on the scheduled Saturday so I called the phone number listed and left a message twice. It’s been three days and no one ever called me back.

I used this company once and they actually showed up (although they were an hour late). I was pleased with the cost and booked another appointment, cancelling via email because calls always go right to voicemail, because my yard was too wet. I rescheduled x2 and even emailed them a copy of my 2nd confirmation email. No one showed up and I haven't heard from them. If you need a reliable company, I would recommend looking elsewhere. **I was a paying customer on Sept 14th and I would be happy to show you all the emails and confirmation emails that I have regarding service appts as well as record of the several times I called. I will accept the free lawn service for tomorrow and at that time will amend my review if applicable.** Thank you.

The guys are the greatest! They came out the same day I contacted them even though it kept them working until dark. They were very polite, helpful and my yard looks amazing! Their prices are very reasonable and the work they do is done with care and pride. I will be using them for all of my future yard needs as well as anything else I need done that they offer in their services.

I booked online on 8/25/20 and selected the first available date to have my yard mowed, which was 8/28, because my yard needed serious attention from all the recent rain. I received an immediate email confirmation that my service was booked. On 8/27, I received an appointment reminder for my mowing appointment for the next day. On what should have been the day of service, 8/28, I sent an email providing a description of my house, since addresses on the homes in my neighborhood are not clearly posted. I received no response to my email, nor did they ever show up to mow my yard. I never received a call, text, or anything explaining that there was a problem or even offering to re-schedule. I looked for them all afternoon, hoping maybe they were just running behind schedule. And nothing. UPDATE TO MY REVIEW: Damian called me 8/29 and said they were minutes away and could come and service my lawn. Upon arriving, Damian apologized profusely for what happened the previous day explaining that a problem with their appointment platform prevented them from receiving my actual appointment request. Damian and Bryce mowed, edged, and blew my yard and it's the nicest it has looked in a long time. They quoted me a great price and will be returning to service my yard on a bi-weekly basis. We may have gotten off to a not-so-great start, but I am really happy I made the decision to do business with them because they did a superb job! I recommend them highly!

Our lawn hadn’t been mowed for about a month due to the last company rarely showing up, but Kevin showed up before noon on a Sunday, was super personable and took the extra time to weed whack around our fence and blow our front sidewalk, porch, driveway and even grass clippings off my car.
