Really terrible driver with the logos on the exterior

August of 2021, our yard was largely brown, patchy and ugly. James with Imperial came out and said he could take care of it, give it time and he would get it looking much better. Fast forward to February of 2022 and we have one of the best looking yards in our neighborhood. I have only been mowing the yard for the past 6 months and James has taken care of all seeding, fertilizing, winterizing, etc. Highly recommend!

I found this one on Google, went to their website and located their email address, which is listed on their contact us page. I wrote a professional and respectful email asking for a quote on landscaping as well as lawn fertilizer and weed control treatment. I have never contacted this vendor before, never spoken to them in any capacity before, and never heard of them before. Here is the reply I got back very quickly from them. It said, I m very busy, please stop playing games, lacroix. I found this to be extremely rude and unprofessional. If that is how they treat prospective customers, I would hate to see how they treat you once they have your business. I would definitely not use this vendor and would not recommend them to anyone, in fact I would caution you to stay away from them. After (not before) I posted this review, he called me to apologize, saying it was his first mistake in 16 years, and he asked me to remove the review. I forgave him, but did not agree to remove the review. His written response below to my review is even more rude and unprofessional, in which he maligns my character, saying my email seemed to him like spam, therefore, I will show it to you, so you can see it was not spam. Please note that he lied in his response below saying that I wrote the review AFTER he called me, which is not true. I wrote the review BEFORE he called me. And I am NOT a spammer. The text of the email I sent to him was as follows: Subject: Request for Quote from Imperial Landscaping Hello James, Could you please call me on Thursday afternoon? I am in [location redacted for privacy] looking for quotes for: 1. Landscaping 2. Lawn treatments (fert/weed control) You can reach me at my home phone (landline) [number redacted] in the afternoon. Thanks!

James and his team were extremely professional, responsive, and in one day completely transformed my yard and landscaping. The quality and results of their work left me completely speechless and I could not be more grateful for their time, care, and dedication.

I hired Imperial Landscaping to care for my lawn. I was assured they would provide quality, full-service lawn care. Things started off beautifully, they came on time and did an excellent job mowing my lawn and trimming my hedges/trees... But unfortunately it went downhill after the first appointment. The following week the person that came out completely butchered my lawn and unfortunately the neighbors on both sides of me. I was told that this was a new person with the company and that they would no longer use him. Things still didnt improve....with each service the mowing was of subpar quality, weeds were everywhere in my yard and I was assured they would take care of the weeds on several occasions but it never happened... I finally got into the yard and did it myself. The overall quality of my lawn went downhill and I had the worst looking lawn in the neighborhood! Because of the very inconsistent Service I received with Imperial Lansdscaping, I terminated my contract and went with someone else.

I have worked with several landscaping companies in the triad area and of all the experiences i have had none can compare to the quality and outstanding customer service i was pleased in every way with James and the crew!!!!!

Imperial Landscaping did an incredible job! They completely cleaned and restored the yard after a full year of house renovation. Hard working and very concerned about doing a good job. Thank you!

Fast evaluation, and quote explained at the time of eval. We needed an initial clean up , which ultimately looks wonderful! They re scheduled for weekly maintenance, which I expect to be just as good. Will keep updated with new information.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW AND AVOID THIS BUSINESS. I normally do not leave a lot of reviews but felt compelled to try to help folks avoid my mistake of working with these folks. James, the owner of Imperial is one of the least professional business owners I have encountered. To keep this short and simple- James did give me a great price on annual lawn program. Overall I would give the actual work that he did a 5/10. Not great but not horrible. I think that he has some learning/research to do about products, lawn diseases/bugs as there is clear deficits and some of my neighbors yards that dont even have services have nicer looking yards- but that is not the point of this review. Many phone calls went unreturned both earlier in the season and here at the end. When I had a concern I would call and no one would call back until I would call a second or third time. I left a message on Oct 16 and Nov 18 to ask about bare spots and simply to ask when he was coming to do winter fertilizer. I got tired of no response, plus not being thrilled about the outcomes I have seen thus far (with full acknowledgement that I knew it wasnt going to be lush and beautiful after one treatment- James I am sure will respond to this review and say I was being unreasonable with too high of expectations- that is not the point of the review- the way he handles things and his professionalism is). When a customer calls about something- you should call them back, even if it is to give reassurance. Regardless, I got tired of unreturned calls and not knowing when/if they were going to come treat my lawn and simply, politely, asked for a refund. James called me back as quickly acting like a crazy man. He was yelling, cursing, and literally acting somewhat psychotic. For 5+ min I listened to a nonstop barrage of insults as he talked about customers like me and went on and on in a loud pressured and demeaning demeanor. I tried to get a word or two in trying to get him to calm down but it was not any use. Eventually I was able to say a few things why I was predominantly disappointed about their lack of communication etc. His response was that they take November off (and apparently shut their phones off and dont return calls)? And that I was being unreasonable for wanting a perfect yard. (Isnt that why people hire lawn companies?). It is absolutely inappropriate for a business owner to treat a customer the way he did on the phone. I had paid for the entire year of treatment and still had 3-4 treatments due to me, but I would rather lose that money than allow this man back on my property as I honestly dont trust that he wouldnt use lawn killer rather than fertilizer after how angry he was and the way he spoke to me. Do you want someone like that working on your lawn? All I did was politely ask for a partial refund for treatments he has not completed.

Left message on website, never called me back. Had to call a couple of times before getting a response. Wanted us to sign a year contract before providing 1 service saying that you cant judge after 1 service yet he was able to judge the work of someone else who had provided 1 service to us previously?. Doesnt make sense. Acted like hed be doing us a favor instead of acting like a professional who was trying to sell their business. Bragged about being Big Time and having Million Dollar Contracts. My husband also saw some of his guys in uniform being rude to the cashier at a gas station, completely overreacting. How you carry yourself DOES MATTER!!!! All I could think about is I would have to put up with that for a year. NO THANKS!!!

Ran into 2 extremely rude gentlemen this morning at the Sheetz working for this company. Id never patronize a business employing such ignorant individuals.

I generally do not write reviews but felt this company deserved one.These folks did a complete landscape design-overhaul in my front yard. It looks amazing! This company actually cares about the quality of work performed and has a very professional attitude. That is rare to find in a business today. Anyone hiring this company will not be disappointed.

We were very pleased with the work provided by Imperial Landscaping. They responded quickly to my call and showed up the next day with a crew that did a thorough job in 3 hrs - a job that would have taken me an entire weekend. They are definitely the company to use if you need to spruce up your yard in a hurry.

They were the first landscapers to come out and by far the most professional! They tore out all my old bushes and GIANT weeds and planted all new bushes and shrubs. It looks just perfect! And they even continued working into the dark to finish all in the same day! If I ever need a landscaper again I know who to call!!

James and his crew at Imperial Landscaping are topnotch. My wife called for a quote and James showed up within 30 minutes of her call to review the property and provide his quote. James impressed me further by scheduling his crew for first thing the next day. It was a sight to see the trucks, equipment and the number of guys he brought in to do the job. James took his crew through each part of the job and we even added some additional tasks on after their arrival for no additional charge. His 6 person crew stayed from 9AM to around 2PM to get the job done the same day, with James coming back to ensure our satisfaction before his crew left. My 5 (fairly large) flower beds, 8 trees and acre lawn have never looked better. Much like another user posted they even left my driveway cleaner than it had been before they arrived. Truly amazing customer service!

Super friendly company, tremendous work, all around great staff. We are 110% satisfied with our decision to choose Imperial over the rest. What really set them above the rest was their honorability, we were accidentally quoted the wrong price, instead of making us pay the difference, which we would have, they decided to stick to the original quote without any push back. We love imperial and if you need any landscaping done, I couldnt recommend a better company!! Thank you Imperial! You guys rock!!

I became an Imperial client in February of 2016. On Sept 10, 2016, I terminated my contract due to their poor and reckless service. Over the course of six months, using Imperial Landscaping did not enhance my home yard maintenance. Instead it cost me time and damaged property. Specifically, two Adirondack chairs, a playset picnic table, an erosion nightmare (due to mowing on an extremely wet day), time making numerous phone calls to the office manager due to missed service days, time collecting cigarette butts after crew members used my yard as their personal ashtray, and a dead Jasmine plant (which took five years to grow). On August 31, I asked Imperial Landscape to trim my garden arbor foliage. Days passed as I watch my plant fade. I began to wonder how a trim could make my plant look so bad. Answer...they killed it. The chain smoking crew of wannabe landscapers cut the roots and killed it (see photos). I am beyond disappointed with the lack of service and respect I received from Imperial Landscaping.

Overall, I was mpressed. After the initial consultation, they were out in less than a week for work on my backyard. They took great care to remove an area of thick concrete and fill it in with dirt to plant grass seed. They re-seeded my entire backyard since it was overtaken by crabgrass. Im currently waiting for some areas of the yard to show the new growth; it appears that maybe the grass seed was not spread evenly? What has grown in is beautiful grass. Im hopeful that the remainder of the yard is just slower and will soon catch up; it; if not, Ill have to replant some areas with grass seed. The price quote and actual price matched exactly. They went above and beyond on the day they were out to make sure the work they did was to my liking. I would use Imperial Landscaping again

I needed some pretty drastic work done on my yard. Called a few places, none of which would give definite times of when they would come or even called me back, until I called Imperial. James was incredibly friendly and willing to work around my schedule unlike the others. The work was done quickly and looks amazing, I really cans stress enough how awesome they are at what they do. Dont even bother with the other guys just go ahead and get setup with Imperial.

3/18/15 - My lawn needed some serious help. My lawn base is Carolina clay and was packed as hard as stone. I researched local lawncare companies and found Imperial Landscaping. I contacted them via their homepage and requested a quote. Within 15 minutes, I received a call and a request to see my lawn. A crew showed up at my house within 45 minutes and and the cost estimate was very reasonable. And the best thing was that they were ready to work at that time. With top of the line equipment and materials, the professional staff plugged, fertilized, limed, and seeded my 0.25 lawn in little over an hour. The tractor-mounted Aer-vator literally minced the top 3-4 inches of my lawn in preparation for the fertilizing and seeding. I had never seen anything like it. I know who to call for my seasonal lawncare.

We are fairly new customers and mostly satisfied with the care and reasonable rates offered by Imperial. We chose Imperial based on recommendations from neighbors whose lawns and landscaping look great.

WOW! First of all, Im not the easiest customer to please and James, along with his crew, exceeded my expectations by a landslide (my husband agrees that this is a rare event)! I also never write reviews. In this case, I couldnt imagine not writing a review... When I first contacted them for an estimate, James was prompt, personable and very reasonable regarding price. The project required a bit of planning and he was very easy to communicate with regarding materials and other logistics. Thank you James for going above and beyond today! It was a pleasure to do business with you, and we only wish there were more locally owned businesses with this caliber of customer service, kindness and quality work. We purchased a home in Winston Salem that needed a complete landscaping overhaul. It included extensive pruning, weeding and mulching. Imperial Landscaping was able to give us a quick and reasonable estimate! And the job was completed quickly! The results were amazing and we are very pleased! I will be using Imperial Landscaping for all of my yard work needs.

The guys from Imperial were great. Called early in the morning and they completed the work that afternoon. Very fairly priced as well.
