For the warranty repair of my Ryobi Reciprocating saw I spoke with R&B by phone. R&B, which is a Ryobi Authorized service center, told me that I would have to pay a $25 diagnosis fee, refundable only if R&B determines that my saw broke because of a manufacturer defect. The saw head that holds the blade broke off during normal use, and R&B said that it may be because I did not use a Ryobi saw blade or that I did not use the reciprocating saw properly.. 1st of all, Home Depot sells Ryobi tools and Milwaukee and Diablo blades, but not Ryobi blades - it's impossible to buy a Ryobi blade at Home Depot, although they sell Ryobi tools; 2nd of all, the brand of a compatible blade doesn't lead to the saw head breaking off. So why would I pay $25 for diagnosis, when Ryobi itself says that there is no diagnostic fee; and 3. unless its obvious that the user dropped the tool (i.e damaged on the outside), then internal parts breaking off are as a result of manufacturers defects (covered under warranty). Ryobi is the price leader at Home Depot, and thus warranty repairs become difficult with Ryobi, although Ryobi advertises a 3 year warranty. R&B is trying to recoup its business costs, because its caught in the middle between Ryobi not authorizing warranty repairs, and customers never picking up their tools (or picking up without having the tools repaired) if Ryobi doesn't authorize the warranty repair. Thus a $25 diagnosis fee. So bring your Ryobi warranty repairs to an authorized service center that does not charge a $25 diagnosis fee, which may or may not be refunded depending on whether or not Ryobi authorizes the repair..
B&R repaired a Ryobi electric lawn mower for me. The original motor was defective and needed to be replaced. B&R diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, performed the repair and demonstrated the working mower at pickup. They did an outstanding job!

Today was my first time at B&R. They had excellent customer service and an abundance of knowledge when it came to the products they sell. As an owner of a Landscape company I’d say they have permanently gained my business when it comes to buying STIHL products.
Authorized Ridgid Repair Shop. Baek is a competent and experienced repair person. I did not have the negative experience that some of the posters had. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided alternative parts. He made my repair in 20 minutes. His shop is not fancy nor polished, but he made a fair repair at a fare price. I will bring other power tools repairs to him.
I had a great experience buying a lawnmower here. I was looking to buy something reliable and affordable and Mr. Baek gave me all the information needed to make a decision that would best suit my needs. He even gave me different options on varying price points. Their service was excellent and i got everything I needed in a timely and personalized fashion. Highly recommend
I’m not believing the bad reviews. I had a great experience here. It’s run by a family, and they’re super nice and efficient. They do warranty claims so I assume the bad reviews have an issue with getting their warranties rejected (by Ryobi for instance) or delayed and are blaming it on this small business. That’s not their fault. They went above and beyond in my case and were very pleasant, answering all my questions.
If you go to this shop be forewarned this will be your worst nightmare. I took my Honda Generator which looked like new to this shop for an oil leak and had varying electrical output, I give B&R $50 for an initial evaluation. No phone calls of the evaluation. I went to the shop and the generator was in the same place I had left it. IF YOU REQUIRE ANYTHING TO BE COMPLETED IN A TIMELY FASHION THIS IS NOT THE SHOP FOR YOU. Did I mention the owner Mr. Beck is rude and not at all responsive to your requests but payment is requested in advance - MY MISTAKE! We agreed on a price of $180 plus the $50 B&R had already received. After two months I have a generator that is all apart and worthless. B&R claim to fame is taking things apart and making items a throw away instead of a working generator. There are other lawnmower shops B&R Lawnmower Shop is not the one to choose.

I do not recommend this place. Do not bring your business here. I had several problems with this place. Also the owner will call and harass you for leaving a bad review.
Stay away from this shop, I took my lawnmower for a oil leak. Now my lawnmower leaking Gasoline from the airfilter. I have taken it 4 times already and the guy keeps saying its another thing, I already paid him like $150 and its still the same issue. He has no idea what he is doing. I dont know how he claims he has 30 years of experience, maybe fixing bicycles, because gardening tools he knows absolutely nothing.

Horrible experience here. I would never recommend this rip off place. I went to get carburetor services and I helped him buy checking spark and compression. He didnt like my aftermarket pull cord and wanted to replace with a new factory unit. I told him that I didnt have a problem with it and Its easy to start with 1 pull. He talked me into a new one anyway. I asked when it going to be ready and he said Saturday at the latest. He thought that it was Wednesday and it was Tuesday so he had an extra day. Went to Pickup and he only changed the part that worked and wasnt what I brought it in for, had not even started to work on the carburetor yet. I asked him for the old part that I can use on another mower I have and he says that he threw it out and it was gone. As I was leaving he dug up a red part and said he found it. This was not my part as mine was black. So he lies and cheats customers, another customer told me that he doesnt trust him either because hes been cheated as well. Not Recommended ever.
The owners are good people trying to save there business! Help them out !! Ive purchased many Stihl products from them.

Terrible. Tried over charging me. I do repairs on all my own small engines and I know how to do it because I m a mechanic. It doesn t cost 235$ for a 5$ spark plug. An 8-11$ carburetor. An oil change wich mind you I just did. Glow coils (whatever those are a tecumpseh ohh50 has no such thing) and a new govorner wich I removed myself knowing that all it does is limit rpms. Didn t run prior to removal. Runs now with only a new carburetor I bought from amazon for 11$
This guy is just out to rip you off. Got me for a mower frame and transmission for it, said it was good... at the end he claimed to put parts to my mower that it needed these missing parts to charge me 200 more from the two I already paid.

Avoid going to this business. I brought my Genrac, Generator for a Warranty Repair. The owner tried to charge me $375.00 to fix my generator which was under factory warranty. STAY AWAY SCAM SCAM!!! My generator was under warranty and he tried to rip me off!!!!
Run dont walk away from this shop. I thought the owners were a nice couple when I talked to them over the phone and I decided to ignore the Yelp reviews and give them my business. What a mistake !!! I left a non starting generator with the owner to inspect and provide an estimate. He took it apart and gave estimate that seemed a little high on my voicemail. I went to discuss this with him and get a breakdown of the estimate figures. He immediately turned into a very irrationally angry person and threatened to sue me if I didnt pay him for his work. (which hadnt been done yet). To make a long story short. I was in a time crunch to get the generator back, his wife intervened and I agreed to have him complete the work. I ended up payed almost 400% over the original estimate and took back a working generator. Later when I had time to inspect the work I discovered very shoddy work where he cut and twisted wires together internally to make connections. I had to take his work apart to crimp on the appropriate connectors to make better, safer connections. If you want to get ripped off and get shoddy work then this is the place for you. I will find a more reputable place to go to next time.
Tried to hit me up for a new battery just before I picked up my generator . This should have been the first thing he checked when the generator was brought in. He had this for almost a week he had time to call and tell me it needed a new battery NOT TRY TO SELL ME A NEW BATTERY AT THE LAST MINUTE.

Honest, good repairs
I brought my weed wacker in to have it repaired. We started it up and he said the carburetor prime pump needed to be replaced. Great, Have at it. I said. Three weeks later, after not hearing from them, I called and was told I already picked it up. I went in to sort it out and was told the same thing. Well having been out of town that was pretty hard to do. So wheres my machine i asked? You already picked it up. Well, since you have security cameras why dont you just look up the day I supposedly picked it up. No response. So they finally, after I basically got really pissed gave me a junky used one. Nice. So go here and trade in your good weed wacker for a junky one. Never going back
Worst place to go... 1100 dollars and weeks to order the wrong parts... Do not go here for any reason
