After moving into our new home, I hired Van Zelst to redo all of my shrubbery beds which had quite a number of diseased, dying, or dead plants and bare ground with only weeds growing there. I dealt with David Van Zelst who listened very well to my desires for ongoing color and interest in the beds as well as my past experiences with certain types of plants and proposed a plan that addressed all of it. While they were not the least expensive proposal I received, I picked then for the job and am glad that I did. The quality and size of the plants they selected were outstanding. The neighborhood association has to review and approve the design before the replanting can occur and plant size is an issue for them. The material Van Zelst planted easily met or exceeded the requirements. The crew that did the removal and replanting was great - they were pleasant, very efficient, and did a great job cleaning the worksite up when they were done - other than the beautiful plants that were there instead of the dead ones, you would never have known they were there. During the job itself, Dave VanZelst checked in a couple of times to ensure things were going the way that they should, answer any questions I had, and that I was happy with the results. I was! I would recommend this organization to anyone considering an addition to or complete redo of their landscaping.

I called VanZelst for some lawn maintenance. I have 4 buried downspouts which were no longer draining. They fixed the issue on time and on budget and also did some lawn rejuvenation by overseeding and did a great job prepping an are that was very damaged and using the proper equipment to slit seed ( think that's what it's called) the lawn

Great company, high quality, more expensive than others but you get excellent results

We had cattails appear in our drainage ditch and they were TAKING OVER. The first few were cute but they quickly got out of control. I called VanZelst and described the problem. I had looked into trying to take care of them myself but it seemed nearly impossible. With just two treatments, the cattails were GONE! VanZelst removed them and everything, and even took the time to spray some extra product on the weeds growing in some cracks of our driveway 🤣 Now I can plant Pickerelweed and other interesting natives in this wet spot and the cat tails haven’t returned. Thanks so much for your excellent service on a difficult job!

The year pass as Van Zelst Inc. builds waterbed on my back yard. It is all started in late spring 2018. I was very impressed how work was done from the beginning. Brian Robinson was leading all sales and work. I have to admit, everything what he told us and promise was done, even more. Many plants died after few months later and were replaced in yearly fall. Now, a year later, I found Brian walking on my backyard checking and evaluating job and plants again. It was not cheap, but quality of work, plants, customer service worst every penny. I would recommend this company, and especially, work with Brian, he will give you a reasonable estimate and keep his word.

Hired Van Zelst for my fall property clean up. Working with Art Torres was a pleasure, he got the work done as late in the season as I wanted, because my property contains so many trees. The job was done very well.

Never received a call back. It's been 2 weeks since I inquired with them.
