I have used Prolawn for a few years now. David serviced my lawn recently and did a great job. Outstanding customer service and more of an organic approach to weed care. Couldn t be happier to support this company instead of feeding the Chemlawn beast. They also give me a military discount.

ProLawn services provided by Donnie are top-notch. The HOA uses a competing service for common areas. The look of our ProLawn grass stands out as superior.

Prolawn has been an excellent lawn care provider so far. They are knowledgeable and informative. Donnie knows exactly what our lawn needed to improve overall health and control weeds. Our lawn is brand new and was overrun with weeds and johnson grass. Since our treatments began, Ive seen a significant improvement in the health of the lawn. We just had aeration and seeding performed in the fall, so we will see how well everything fills out in the spring and summer. Very professional group of people overall. I would recommend to anyone.

We have used Prolawn for two years. They helped bring back a lawn that was neglected for years (before we bought the home two years ago) and now our lawn looks great; less weeds, fuller grass, hardly any more bare spots, very green and lush. After years of unsuccessfully trying to have a nice lawn, with no bald and brown patches and no weeds, I hired the professional staff at ProLawn last fall. I can t believe how beautiful my lawn is this spring. It gives me so much joy to look out my window and view my yard.

Prolawn provides good advice and good customer service. When there is an issue the work to resolve that issue as soon as they can. They do not pressure you into services you do no want. Untimely service is usually do to weather conditions.

Ive been a Prolawn user for a number of years and continue to be very satisfied with their service. Weve used many of their lawn/shrub and tree maintenance services and the results have been well received. A week ago Riley McGovern applied organic fertilizer to our lawn. He made sure we knew he was going to provide our service and then effectively did so.

Its great to see a familiar face and have that person take time to discuss their applications. ProLawn continues to provide excellent service resulting in a great lawn. We contacted ProLawn at the recommendation of a local landscape company. Our lawn has never been healthier or looked better. The staff at ProLawn is excellent from the heads up text prior to applications to the technicians spending time answering our questions. ProLawn routinely monitors the pH level of our soil and offer recommendations for correction and improvment. Ours is the best looking lawn in the neighborhood!

I have been a ProLawn customer for over 20 years. Shortly after we purchased our home in Ashburn we hooked up with ProLawn to get our lawn back into shape. It has been a wonderful relationship and we continue to use their services. We have had several technicians in that time and. ALL have been excellent. They are knowledgeable, and willing to share their knowledge with you. They will provide recommendations on how to improve your lawn and landscape (if you ask) and they do not get upset if you decide to do some of the work yourself. It is a cooperative effort that I find pleasing and most satisfactory. The lawn looks great, and we will continue to use ProLawn in the future.

We have been with ProLawn for about 7 years after trying another lawn service that was useless. The people that come out for our monthly lawn needs are very courteous and take care closing our 2 gates as we have 2 dogs that we let out later in the day and dont run away. When we bought this house, the condition of the grass was not good and we have shale just a few inches underground. After a few years, it is now a lush green lawn and people even comment on it. When looking for a lawn care company I wanted one that cared for my particular lawn issues and didnt just throw a treatment down when my lawn didnt need it. I have used their service for last 3 years and lawn never looked good. They didnt detect and inform me about fungicide and there is no good response when I called them about treatment. They dont care about customer dissatisfaction and they are even not ready to take feedback. Please stay away from them.

At this time, I cant really give an accurate review as this is my first season using any type of lawn service. I dont want to give a negative review because Im not really sure what to expect. But it doesnt seem like much has been done to my lawn (1 weed prevention & one application of Lime) and its mid-June now. I have some weeds appearing and thin spots in my yard. Also, I got a text that they would be out the next day but Im not sure if they came or not as no note was left and I was home most of the day.

Started using ProLawn after purchasing a house where the yard had been seriously neglected for some years. When we bought the house, the yard looked awful. ProLawn has done a remarkable job. After a year, we get constant comments about how nice the yard looks and what an improvement has been accomplished. Within one year, they have been able to fix those areas along with thickening and greening up the rest of my lawn. One other great trait of a good company is responsiveness. We hired Prolawn when we moved to Virginia a few months ago. The house we purchased had generally good grass but with a few bare patches and a smattering of weeds. We signed up for year-round service as well as fall aeration and seeding. Ive had seeded before, so my expectations were pretty low. But wow - all the bare patches filled in, the yard looks great (no weeds!), and I couldnt be happier with their services. Also, my tech has always been willing to take as much time as I want to explain what theyre doing and why and to make any adjustments I might need. Highly recommend.

We moved into our new home and the previous homeowners used Pro Lawn so we decided to continue using them. I ve been very happy with their consistency, communication and the lawn looks really good. I did have some weeds around the edges of my lawn this year where it meets up to my flower beds but I plan to discuss this with them next year. Our technician is very nice and friendly and we even purchased salt from them which was delivered right into our garage for the winter ahead!! I d give them 4.8 stars if I could but can only choose 4 or 5.

I get notified when the technician is coming and they have always been easy to talk to and ask questions. My regular technician (Donnie) not only explains how the treatments work on my idiosyncratic yard, he (and his colleagues) have also worked hard to accommodate my need to have my dogs let into the yard when they were finished (and I was not home). I have been a customer for over 20 years. Excellent service each and every year. My lawn is always in great shape thanks to the treatments from ProLawn. Consistent results, easy pre-pay option each year to save money, and I never have to haul bags of fertilizer around or worry about mixed results from other products. They are the real deal. Professional, reliable, courteous, and consistent. What more could you ask for from a company! I love the results and always have a beautiful lawn.

I paid $897.50 for ProLawn to make my lawn a lot worse and then stop returning my calls. Due to soil acidity, my once pretty lawn area had devolved into moss and Japanese Stilt Grass. I hired ProLawn to correct the problem and plant a new grassy lawn. ProLawn started treatment last year to kill the moss, then I discovered they were also fertilizing the Stilt Grass. After I talked to them about that, they came back and killed the Stilt Grass. So now I have mostly dead or dying moss in my yard. When I called them a couple of months ago to ask if they were going to finish the job, they said theyd get back to me and that my contact had left their employ. They didnt call back. Two or three calls after that. Same results. Update: After I posted this, I checked my mail and there was a $339.80 refund check from ProLawn. No explanation, and I still have a dead lawn, but I do appreciate the refund. Update (08/26/20): My Japanese stilt grass (weeds) has come back and is very healthy, and actually looks pretty good -- no doubt due to all the rain this year. I plan to plant real grass soon. ProLawn did apologize and explained that they had an employee situation that they took care of. No hard feelings and Im confident they will do a good job for you.

I started using Prolawn in 2013 and their services really made a difference with the appearance and quality of our lawn. In 2014 we rented out our house due to work relocation, and I think the appearance of our lawn helped to land us a renter quickly. In 2015 I discontinued the service due to the house being a rental property. When we returned to the area in 2019 the yard was a mess. I have since signed back up with Prolawn and in less than a year you can already see the lawn getting back to how it looked in 2014. We had to stop using them for awhile when money got tight & tried doing it ourselves. Things changed & we called Prolawn to get them back. After doing our research, we started using ProLawn 5 years ago or so. We have a Certified Wildlife Habitat site where we back up to a nature preserve (pond/woods) and we ve got all sorts of critters stopping by. So at the very top of our list was a lawn service that was 100% organic-based. And second on our list was a company that came highly recommended by folks we knew. We got both with ProLawn. And while I was quite proud of our existing landscaping (I had gone through the Loudoun Country Master Gardner program years prior), my husband and I just couldn t seem to get our lawn in order, no matter how much time and effort we spent. Thank goodness we left it up to the pros at ProLawn (they have a great group of technicians on staff). Our lawn looks fantastic from season start to season end every year, and it s something we just don t ever have to worry about.

We have been happy that we get good, no pressure advice, excellent and professional service from our technicians, and that the ProLawn team has been very responsive when we have had any concerns or requests. We have been using Prolawn for at least three years now, and the difference in how our lawn looks now compared to before we used Prolawn is extremely noticeable. Our grass used to have weeds (dandelion, clover, etc.) everywhere and it would brown SO badly in the late summer months. Since using Prolawn, our yard has become much more lush, green, and free of weeds, and it doesnt brown over as badly at all in the late summer droughts. We recommend them on our neighborhood Facebook page anytime someone asks for a referral, and were so happy we encouraged our next door neighbors to use them as well because theres not a stark difference between our two adjoining front yards now! I also love that they send texts the day before notifying us of their visit so that I can make sure to pick up any debris from our dog or kids ahead of time. The service guys are always friendly and tell us exactly what service theyre doing on the visit before they do it. Highly recommend!

My lawn was a disaster before ProLawn. Full of weeds. Now the lawn is green and weed free. It took a couple of seasons to get it right, but it was worth the wait. I highly recommend if your lawn is in bad shape and you want nice, green grass.

Donnie and all the folks at Pro-Lawn are always very courteous and personal. They faithfully give notices of planned service dates and re-schedules. If I report some weeds showing up, they respond with off-cycle spot spraying. The yard looks good since they have been caring for it, in spite of non-fastidious use and maintenance on our part. Ive been a Prolawn customer for years. They always do a fantastic job! After years of struggling to get my lawn looking good on my own I hired them for lawn maintenance and my lawn has never looked better!

ProLawn has serviced my lawn for over 15 years and it continues to look great during wet/dry/hot/cold years. I used to be able to see the boundary between my lawn and my neighbors lawn based on the number of weeds. Now my neighbor uses ProLawn and there arent weeds in either of our lawns. Thanks ProLawn.

Why do you need my email address before a sales agent contacts me? You dont. Youre just being pushy, and obnoxious. Im not using your service just for that.

We had to cancel with them. Horrible incompetent receptionist. It was like talking to a wall. My husband constantly had to call her whenever we did business with them because she never did anything that was asked. Plus, we never agreed to keep using them. Then suddenly, almost a year passed and our previous tenants receive a text that ProLawn is coming out the next day to service the sprinklers? Ummm excuse me? That is ridiculous. How about asking first if we still want to even use them, let alone asking if people are even available. But sending a text to someone who doesnt even live there anymore because you didnt bother to even check and tell them that youre coming the next day is insane. My husband had to call and cancel but I have a feeling this will not be the end of it, especially after reading other negative reviews and reviews on Yelp. In response to the owners reply, not sure what youre talking about, because I clearly never claimed to have spoken with your receptionist. I said my husband did. Reading is fundamental. This just shows how you and your company have no attention to detail and how you operate. And not even an apology for messing up? Nice. Other than that, all they did was service our sprinklers twice a year so it was an easy job and it was done fine. The problem is with the administrative aspect of the business, not the workers that came out.

I Called today to complain about the terrible condition of my front lawn to ProLawn Service... Spoke to the Customer Service Rep. Her answers to my complaints were hmmm. My lawn looks worse now than before they started. Their Weed control killed grass and not the dandelions or broadleaf. Super disappointed after spending so much money.

Most excellent! Jeff and his crew serviced seven houses in our neighborhood and I cant begin to explain how friendly, courteous, helpful, and professional they were. Last year we had a different company take care of our lawns, and were not satisfied, so I switched to ProLawn, and Im glad that I did! I could not be happier with the results.

Just signed up with Pro Lawn. Out of all the lawn care companies we met with, no one was even close to providing the personalized attention they did. I worked with Philip who visited my home, listened to the concerns I had, and completely developed a personalized plan tailored to my lawn and what I was hoping to achieve. Ill update again after this year once I see how the treatments go, but all in all....100% I was impressed and would highly recommend you giving Pro Lawn a call. Update - After the first year I can say that my lawn has DEFINITELY improved and the plan Pro Lawn put together was perfect and addressed all the concerns I had. The service was always on-time and I was always texted the day before to let me know that a technician would be at my home the next day and at what time. Weve been using Prolawn for many years. Ive gone out and spoken to the Tech in person many times and to the Sales manager via phone to ask questions, get advice, and understand how to best handle certain conditions. Customer Service has been excellent in that they are real people treating you like a real person and not a number or as expendable. Ive asked to be contacted prior to my apptmt so that I could be sure my lawn was ready (short enough), and they now text me ahead of time. Very pleased.

Signed up for service late 2017 and have been very pleased with the professionalism of the service team along with the results that I have seen after a short time. Excellent communication between the office and me to provide notice when my service day will be in order to keep my dog off the lawn after treatment. We have used Prolawn for the past four years for all of our lawn care needs. We have had probably every possible issue with our lawn - grubs, fungus, etc., but Prolawn has always taken care of the problem. Many of their staff attend conferences at Virginia Techs turfgrass center and I can tell you this is rare for companies in this area. VT has one of the best turfgrass centers around and the fact that Prolawn sends their staff there for training is huge. Additionally, Prolawn is one of the most ethical companies I have ever dealt with. A few years ago they made a mistake and a portion of our lawn was impacted. They could have said the issue was due to lack of water, bugs, or whatever. But they admitted that they over-applied a fertilizer in the affected area and fixed the issue by overseeding. Not only did they overseed the small affected area, they overseeded my entire lawn and applied a topdressing free of charge. Prolawn is a great company that will provide top-notch service by skilled, informed technicians.

ProLawn is very professional. They call me the day before to notify me when their lawn technician is going to come out to service my yard or tree and shrubs. I use both the lawn service and the tree and shrub services as we have nice landscaping we inherited from the previous home owners. ProLawn has done a fantastic job keeping my lawn and landscaping in great shape. I recommended them to two of my neighbors to get their lawns up to spec as well if that helps you in your decision to use them.

Inherited pro lawn from the people we bought our house from and have been with them for 7 years now. Reliable and friendly service and we always get compliments on the grass, nicest in the neighborhood! Takes work from both sides though, as a home owner you have to do your part to keep things up to par, pro lawn is great and seriously, Id be afraid to stop using them, but there is still upkeep to be done inbetween your pro lawn service schedule. Great company though, we are happy.

Weve been using ProLawn for 3 years now. We are very pleased with the overall look and health of our lawn and ProLawn has a great customer service ethic. We requested that they call in advance of treatments so that we could be sure to have the lawn mowed and the dog put away before they come. They also call after they have serviced the lawn to see if we have any questions or concerns. We spend a little over $600 a year for 9 lawn treatments (organic fertilizers, crabgrass control, weed control, nutrients, and lime applications), and in return we dont have bags and bags of half-used lawn treatments in our garage AND we dont have to spend the time doing it ourselves (or figuring out what we need to use to fix the problem areas). I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to others.

This is a class A company. Customer service and response to calls and questions is timely and thorough. We have invested a great deal of time and energy over the years to keep our lawn looking healthy and lush. We used very expensive top of the line products available only at high end retail garden shops. Every year we have had the same issues: it starts out looking great in the spring only to end up with brown spots and issues by mid-summer. We are tired of trying to figure out what else we need to do and decided to research using a lawn service. This year we compared the price to use ProLawn vs. what we have been paying for products alone and it was actually a little less to use ProLawn. It was a no-brainer to give them a try and so far we are very satisfied. Our yard looks amazing and the staff is very responsive to any questions we have had come up. Well, what can I say except - WHAT A SCAM!!!!! The whole reason you sign up for a lawn service, is to ensure your lawn is nice, and stays that way. Well, this place is NOT THE PLACE if you expect a service provider to NOTICE and COMMUNICATE, and ADDRESS issues harmful to your lawn. So, I notice LOTS of brown patches in the lawn......the lawn was going from BEAUTIFUL to nasty in seconds. Pro Lawn Rep comes out TWICE to service lawn and doesnt mention it. I finally call, and ask for them to address the issue. They finally call and say I will have to pay $80 to have some chemical added to the lawn. I tell them that since they are supposed to be on top of things, and keep the lawn maintained, it would seem this should be covered......especially since their reps total lack of care, and lack of addressing the issue caused my lawn to severely die! Went round and round with the owner. His response was the guy didnt see it and it couldnt have been active on the reps visit....seriously? Total lack of accountability. So, he wears me down.....and I agree to allow the chemical to be applied for the fee, because the lawn was in BAD SHAPE!! So, after waiting for almost another week, I call Pro Lawn to find out they have placed a hold on my account because they have not received my $49 payment? LOL They are ALWAYS vigilant when it comes to their crazy fees......but are very laid back when it comes to the same attention to detail regarding their service. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!!!!!!! Prowlawn was the worst lawn company me and my family have ever used. They seeded the lawn good results then came out and fertilized the lawn and eventually killed the whole thing. Then all they said is we will try and seed it next spring. What the heale is post to happen to it now?
