Leo Tree Experts in Wilson

My son , whom is out of state, contracted them to take down a VERY large tree in Tarboro. That was 4 months ago. He never completed the job. Left the huge stump and wood chips. This is located in front of the home. For months have heard from him... I will get it done. I will get it done.... Excuses is all he gives. And against my advice , my son had paid him. Saying he really needed the money to pay his guys. My ,,#1 rule is... No $ up front and not paid until job is completed. So not only did he not finish the job. But He took advantage of my son's good will. Unfortunately my only recourse is to take him to small claims court. Actually thought the job was completed...as he told my son it was three weeks ago. I just went over and....Nope not done. And his response was, he will do it tomorrow. To him tomorrow never comes.

I will never hire them! Because of the way he drives and parks his van. Blocking fire emergency at front of stores and blocking the gas station parking lot so no one could get in or out.

The crew was fantastic. Told that they would show up between 7:30 and 8:00 and they were here at 7:45 they wasted no time getting right to work. The tree that they were removing was very challenging due to where it was located. It took them all day but they managed to get this massive black lotus down without any damage from what I can tell to my neighbor's property. Their pricing was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend them.

04/23/24----LEO, PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL ABOUT THE DAMAGE YOU CAUSED TO MY NEIGHBOR'S FENCE. YOU SAID YOU WILL FIX IT AND NOW I HAVE A LAW SUIT AGAINST ME AND YOU WON'T RETURN A CALL, WHY????????? ROCKY MOUNT A MONTH LATER AND YOU STILL WON'T CONTACT ME, IF I DON'T HEAR FROM YOU SOON, AS IN TODAY, I WILL START THE PROCESS OF TAKING YOU TO COURT. WE GOT THE SETTLEMENT FROM THE JUDGE THAT HAS TO BE PAID AND YOU SAID YOU WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. IT'S TIME TO STAND BEHIND YOUR WORD. CALL ME SINCE YOU REFUSE TO ANSWER A CALL FROM ME. 06/09/24 UPDATE 9/10/2024: LEO SR. CAME BY TODAY AND PAID ME THE SETTLEMENT MONEY FOR THE DAMAGED FENCE. HE WAS VERY POLITE AND APOLOGIZED FOR HIS SON'S NON-RESPONSE TO MY E-MAILS AND PHONE CONVERSATIONS. HE HAD TOLD HIS SON SEVERAL TIMES TO COME BY AND RESLOVE THE PROBLEM WITH US AND HIS SON LET HIM THINK IT WAS SETTLED. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE WORK THEY DID, IT WAS A GOOD JOB, CLEANED UP GOOD AND EVERYTHING. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN BUT GET A CONTRACT BEFORE WORK IS DONE TO PROTECT YOURSELF.

Amazing crew! Showed up for a free quote fully equipped and ready to go. Leo was willing to work with me on payment and got the job done. Highly recommend! Will only be calling them when I’m ready to get more trees removed.

Had to have trees removed after the tornado, which was done in a somewhat timely manner, but then the problems started. My fence was further damaged during their work and the invoice for the tree removal was too vague for my insurance. When asked for a more detailed invoice for the insurance, and after several phone calls, I was assured it would be sent. 1 month later and still no invoice because they've already been paid. He also offered us wood chips from our trees, which I did agree to, but then he dumped 5 truckloads from other sites on our property and NEVER came to spread the mulch out as agreed to. We will not be using them again.

Most of all on time and did what he said he would do. 2 hours and finish.

I hired Matthew tree service to cut down a large oak tree in my backyard, and he subbed it out to Leos Tree Service! I was told that after the tree was cut down that all of the wood would be towed away and cleaned up and the stump grinded! Leo’s crew did a good job cutting down tree but left two big piles of tree slabs from the trunk that are so big I cannot budge them I have made several phone calls and asked for them to come remove them as they are an eyesore in my backyard I paid over $3000 for this service and have not received what I was promised. Leo needs to come remove these big pieces of wood from the backyard from the tree that he cut down. He did a great job. His crew is efficient but the removal was not satisfactory because they left it.
