Until I started with Lawn Doctor, my grass was dying out and I had re-sodded twice... very expensive. Now Jonathan comes out regularly to treat for nutrients, weeds, mole crickets, etc. He lets me know exactly when hes coming and what he does and offers choices of extra treatments as needed. Well-run company that really cares.

Really like my current lawn treatment guy. Does a good job, doesn t avoid conversations and makes good recommendations. But, last fall he recommended lawn aeration and compost spreading to give the yard a boost this spring. I seem to remember he stated it would get done in late April/early May. To date, and today is May 24 I have not heard, nor can I get a response, as to when this might get completed. All I hear is that there are staffing issues. If I had known this was going to be such a problem I would have contracted with someone else.

I ve used lawn doctor for two years now on my small lawn. They ve entirely eliminated weeds and given me some tips on how to get my st Augustine to fill in better. The best part of this company for me is that they are willing to work around my schedule so I can lock up our dog before they come which is extremely helpful.

Grass has brown spots which they did not treat. The first tech said it was from water run off and my dog. Some of the spots were not available to my dog. My neighbor has the same and does not have a dog. NC extension unit says it is a decease. Not at all pleased with this company!

We have been using them for weed control and pest control for years now. This Spring we were invaded by a pesky mole who did a ton of destruction quickly on our back lawn. Lawn Doctor came right out and treated the grub worms and our mole relocated - thankfully. Also have never had to worry about mosquitos hanging out in our backyard and especially with my 2 year old Granddaughter. We are really happy with their response and service.

Ive contracted with Lawn Dr of Wilmington for four years now. I made the mistake one year of utilizing another national lawn care company which made me come back to them three years ago. My lawn looks great which is the most important factor. A very close second factor is that I can reach Mike McCarter easily and usually on the first call. Lawn Dr of Wilmington may not be the lest expensive service you can contract but you will get the best results and best service.

In our area fire ant, mole crickets and other pests are a real problem or were. Weeds can also get quickly out of control. Lawn Dr. takes care of both problems BEFORE they become problems. They also have a great system - pay in advance and get a substantial discount and you don t have to worry about paying for each visit and wondering if you paid or not. It s a great service at a reasonable price. You just set it and forget it!

I ve been with The Lawn Doctor for 22 yers, 17 in Maryland and five in North Carolina. The two states are as similar as apples and prunes. Maryland had good soil while NC has more than it share of sand. Lawn Doctor techs have been with me all the way with tips, corrected application for each growing condition and willing to discuss my lawn problems and a new gang of different weeds. It hasn t easy but they have stuck with me all the years.

Great service. I had brown spots on my lawn that my previous company couldnt fix. Lawn Doctor diagnosed the problem in minutes and told me how to fix it. Grass was growing back in a week. They show up when they say and provide continuing advice. I highly recommend them.

I use this location for tree and shrub chemical treatment. They come four times a year for either either fertilization, insect and fungal treatment or dormant oil. The technicians are very professional and knowledgeable.

the broad leaf weed control used is very weak. most of the time it does not kill the weeds I do not think the liquid fertilizer used this year as the granular type used in the past. Services

Call to have my lawn front lawn aerated and treated for the summer good price

We did not have a good experience with Lawn Doctor. Our grass died after several treatments. He said it is just the summer heat and refused to make any adjustments. I had landscapers and sprinkler technicians come to assess and they both said it looks like the fertilizer was too harsh. We have sprinkler system and water often so there is no reason for grass to burn the way it did. Everytime we reach out to the owner, he does not respond. It takes 3-4 calls to get him on the phone. I got too tired of trying to chase. Grass died and I will be moving to a new service provider. I wish I can post photos here. We will be spending money to aerate and reseed. The owner did not even offer this as an option or even remotely acknowledge any responsibility Go somewhere else.

They are honest affordable and hard working.

These guys are amazing! We have a large property and sometimes areas are done too lightly or missed and sometimes simply not effective (at no fault to them). But whenever an issue arises, they will always come back right away and resolve it. The easiest vendor on our list by far! A true pleasure to deal with!

Fantastic company. Ive dealt with a few different lawn care companies in the past and Lawn Doctor of Wilmington is by far the best. The owner Mike is extremely knowledgeable. He has gotten my lawn in shape and looking exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of lawn care.

My shrubs all were infected with spider mites. They diagnosed the issue and set me up on a plan to have multiple treatments each year that are also very reasonably priced. The shrubs all look great now and I have no issues at all! These guys are great!

Our grounds look so much nicer ever since we started with Lawn Doctor. One season we had some weeds pop up a little after they treated, so they came back and redid the entire property - 5 acres of it - for free!!

I have had them for several years My lawn looks Great , and they are very dependable, I wish I had gotten them 20 years go!

We had service done on May 26. We had fertilization, pre-emergent and broadleaf weed control. The guy that this the service was running the machine fast on our lawn causing to leave nasty tire marks on our grass, our grass has been killed in those areas, yellow patches. I called the office and awarded them of the situation the supervisor advised us to water the lawn that it should be back to normal in couple of weeks, we follow the instructions. No change what so ever two weeks after so I called again, supervisor came out to our residence and admitted that the technician did over tire the lawn and there was tension on the grass, he said to water and if we didnt see change in couple of weeks to call again and they will Sent someone out again to do seeding and fix the problem, so I did call again since there hasnt been no change and the supervisor gave me a story that it will take some time, he never mentioned again. About sending someone out to fix the problem, he was avoiding my conversation. Its been 2 months and a half and my grass still looks like crap, with the same yellow marks, and I havent heard back from lawn Doctor. I will not recommend this company since they will no fix the problem after they kill your grass.
