The experience with Thorpe was amazing. They came when they said and their work was great. Thorpe installed a beautiful permeable paver patio around my pool. After a year, it began to sink in one area. Thorpe fixed the area and a couple other areas that I didnt even notice. I would use again.

We recently worked with Thorpe Landscapes to address some major drainage issues in our yard. We got several quotes for the project, and decided to proceed with Thorpe not because they were the cheapest option, but because they understood the problem and we felt they would take the time and do the research necessary to truly resolve our issues rather than just putting a bandaid on it. After looking into multiple options, discussing pros and cons, and taking several careful measurements of the yard, we came up with a plan.They set practical, realistic expectations on timeline and budget, and walked us through the project every step of the way. The crew was incredibly courteous and communicative and you could tell that they enjoyed their work and took pride in what they did. At the end of the project, we were blown away by what they were able to accomplish. Not only did they do a fantastic job of addressing our standing water issues, they made our yard absolutely beautiful in the process. We highly recommend them!

Highly recommend Thorpe for any large job. We worked with them to clean up our front and back yards that have been overgrown for 5+ years, including vines, fallen trees, etc. It was way too big of a job for us to tackle, but a whole crew came out from Thorpe and got it done in less than 2 days. Our property is unrecognizable - in a good way! We are super pleased with the results and would hire them again in the future.

Had an employee throw up on my lawn from being so drunk then sprayed it down with bleach and killed my grass absolutely will never use them again!!

These guys are super professional. We used them for Biggers Market and are also using them again 2 years later for the Biggers Market Kitchen site work. I went through three different landscaping companies before eventually finding these guys and the experience was just immensely better. They made it out for evaluation very soon after my initial phone call, quote was reasonable, and they got the work done in a very reasonable amount of time. The work they did was immaculate, I had forgotten my yard could look so neat. I ll be using them for maintenance and highly recommend them to anyone else.

Thorpe Landscapes transformed my horrendous backyard into a gorgeous, manicured beautiful backyard space. They literally nicknamed my yard the jungle because it was so overgrown after I purchased my home, and they even removed an entire extra chain-link fence. New sod, new beds, they even went above and beyond and set it up fully for me to be able to water it by simply turning on my hose. Not only did they do an excellent job in just a matter of days, but they also were wonderful people to work with. Ive known of Thorpe for awhile but never had a project I needed help with until I bought my house - but Dan and his team were incredible. 10 out of 10 services, I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, I think you are a great company, However it hasnt been quite a year and I had a few dead plants that I was assured would be replaced and they never were. I did in fact get an estimate for my backyard, which Ive gone with another company. it is done and its beautiful your quote was a lot higher. I was told that you would not be able to do my project around the pool for at least 7 months, nobody ever followed up to see if I was interested Or had questions. I could only assume the project was too small.. I also had to tear up the backyard yard where you had marched there was no plastic down and it was nothing but weeds everywhere.

TLDR: Great crew, super flexible, felt valued as a customer! Ive worked with Thorpe Landscaping a few times in the past (nothing extensive), but I recently purchased a home in downtown Wilmington, and the backyard looked like at one point it was very well groomed with multiple different decorative plant varieties (previous owner obviously had a green thumb). When I moved in, this was not the case. It was overgrown with weeds and the grass looked like it had not been cut in weeks. I asked if they could come in and do some damage control. They did a quick maintenance service and even laid down some pine straw as a welcome home gift! The best part was I was able to work out having them come and do the maintenance while I was at work (this hurdle keeps me from getting a lot done on the new house with other contact work). I left the backyard gate unlocked, they came and did their business, and they locked the gate when they left! Overall awesome communication and flexibility.

I would strongly recommend them for pretty much any landscape project. Thorpe Landscapes has now completed three difficult tasks for me. First placing a secure brick walkway in the middle of the entire length of the drive, required by a surgeon. This was enhanced by using river rock at each side. Second they came in to resettle the ballast stone (that had come in the sailing ships ), remove tree roots at a depth of 10 feet and lastly to enlarge to code the entrance to modern standards and vehicles. Great job, Thorpes creativity and hard work done by the most pleasant people enhances the historic beauty of the house Thank you!

Thorpe used to do a good job taking care of my lawn. As time went on, the slacking and inconsistentancies with this company became apparent. His crew damaged light fixtures, sliced a hole in my hose, destroyed backyard decorations, all for the sake of rushing to get to their next job. In addition, his new manager was a royal pain to deal with. She had a bad habit of talking over me. Beligerant would be a good description of this person, as well as rude. So glad to be done with this unprofessional company.

We are so happy that we chose Thorpe Landscapes to replace our driveway and walkway. The customer service was excellent; Garrett was a pleasure to work with from the moment we met him. Garrett stopped by August 12, he seemed very nice and interested in the job. He told me he would have an estimate to send me either on the 15th or 16th. Never received an estimate so I emailed him on the 18th. He did respond and said he would have the estimate ready on Monday August 23, today is the 27th, never heard back from him. At the very least I deserved an email letting me know the status of the estimate. When I initially spoke to him to schedule an appointment he was very available with when he could stop by . I don t appreciate being blown off. Not professional or responsive.

First time providing a google review but have to give a shout out to Thorpe Landscapes for their tremendous service. The team worked hard and came up with creative solutions to set heavy boulders and palms in tight spaces. And they do it all with a friendly smile and can-do approach. Danny, Anne and the Thorpe team are the best.

Did not adequately remove existing Bermuda grass (stolon s & rhizomes) when they replaced it with St. Augustine sod. Now, 3 years later, Bermuda grass is growing prolifically thru-out St. Augustine area and will ultimately take it over.

12 out of 10! Dan and the entire crew were amazing to work with. They took the vision in my head and made it reality. The team was on site every day and cleaned up daily before they left. Verbal guarantee that they would be replaced but Dan simply does not return calls, emails or voicemails. He did good work but did not complete his verbal promises. Buyer beware. We are a 400 bed student housing property that has used Thorpe Landscapes since we opened back in 2016. Every year when it comes time to renew our contract with them, we dont ever hesitate. They always go above & beyond to make sure our community is beautiful. If we ever want anything additional done, they jump right on it during their next scheduled service. Great Company. I have been using them for landscaping a 15 acre property for three years now and they always perform phenomenal work. They were always on schedule, and didnt leave the property until they were finished. I also had some drainage and washout issues on a building. They regraded the land and installed french drains and I havent had an issue since.

Dan, Anne, and the team are the absolute best. The service the property I manage beautifully and flawlessly. They built our awesome fire pit and hammock garden that has become our resident s favorite amenity. We will continue to use Thorpe for many years to come!
