Bowman's Best Lawn Care in Wilmington

I just experienced one of their drivers on military cut off basically trying to run me off the road. I was going well over the speed limit and there was a red light a ways up however there was no need to speed up. They still proceeded to ride my bumper so close that I could not see their headlights. I was also in the right hand lane, so I was not keeping them from using the passing lane to get past me. People need to realize when they re driving company cars that they are representing the company and just because of that I would never use this company for my lawn care. It was absolutely uncalled for and even if I wanted to speed above the speed limit more than I already was, I couldn t because there were people in front of me. We all have somewhere yo go or somewhere we want yo be but riding so close yo me so your headlights weren t completely visible in uncalled for and somewhat scary for me. I hope however this was gets a little education on driving.

We are new customers of Bowmans and have been very happy. Terri is always extremely responsive and Dan has went out of his way on two occasions to help us with last minute accommodations. I definitely recommend giving them a call!

We just had new shrubs & a palm tree installed. It all looks great & the owner is very responsive w/info & answering questions. We definitely recommend them. Be sure to get an estimate on your work before making a final decision!

I called Bowmans Best Lawn for a quote for comete lawn care for my property. Dan cam to my house to look at the lawn and told me he would send a quote in the next day or so. That was 3 weeks ago. Reviews should help consumers to know which businesses they can rely on and those they cant. Bowman s is not a reliable company. I suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

Excellent work! I receive lawn maintenance and services for other lawn related issues from Dan and his crew. They provide professional, fast, and courteous service. The lawn, the edging and even the sidewalk and driveway look great after their visit! They will be doing my lawn makeover soon. I have a vision that I m placing in Dan s hands and I m sure he will make it happen! I can hardly wait!!

My first with Bowman s and not my last. They removed 2 dead palms. Filled those holes with 2 palms plants from an area in the yard that is soon to be decking. They transplanted several other palms from the same area to be decking. Am fairly new to the area, and quite disappointed with many other companies I ve dealt with in my transition into my new home. The others- well, not even satisfactory. These guys do a fab job- arrive when they say, or call if not- don t want payment b4 they deliver service -do a great clean up afterwards -don t ask for water, etc They share all info willingly on the care and instructions -friendly and don t act as if it s a pain to do the service. Dan and his team did an excellent job with our landscaping. Everyone on the team was extremely nice and knowledgable. We love what they have transformed our place into. We got so many compliments on how things look and cant wait to bring them back to help with our backyard! These low maintenance additions have improved our curb appeal drastically.

Bowmans was prompt in replying to my emails, they gave me multiple quotes for me to choose from with different price points, and their crew was extremely professional, prompt, and did a great job. I am really happy with their service (and I am extremely nitpicky about my lawn).

Called then 3 weeks ago and they were suppose to come out last week. Never came. Then I called and was told they would be out this week and I stressed I was leaving to go out of town Friday. Today is Wednesday and I called today and was told they will try to make it out. They are not reliable and I would not use them. I know it s a busy time of the year so then don t take the business and let the person know to go elsewhere!!!

Bowmans is the best! They were so helpful on the front end with understanding what I wanted/needed. Their communication was upfront and honest with payment structures and invoices. I cant believe it took me so long to find a trustworthy and reliable lawn care service.

I moved to Wilmington 5 years ago. Dan and his crew put in the sprinkler system and sod. They did a great job. If I needed help with the timer they came out and showed me what to do. They are prompt with the other services that they provide .( fertilizing,etc.) Recently my easement had to be cleaned and they came out and did a great job .Dan`s secretary,Terri, is always willing to set up the services you need.

My wife and I recently had some work done to our front and side yard to control drainage. After shopping around we landed with Bowmans, and were very happy with the work. The front yard looks great with the addition on new rock beds, and the drainage and new grass on the side looks great and works really well. Well be looking to Bowmans again for future work, and wed suggest them to anyone in the area seeking professional work!

I just had a major landscaping job done by Dan Bowman and his team at Bowmans Best Lawn Care. The work was installing a row of bushes in my front yard and back yard, including new sprinkling systems, etc. It was a big job. They did a superb job! Bowmans team are super professional and meticulous, and very nice people, too. Dan was a pro from beginning to end. He told me exactly what he would be doing, and delivered the same. Dans crew chief, Ish, is an awesome guy!! I plan to use Bowmans for a variety of landscaping jobs in the future, including ongoing lawn maintenance. I could not recommend them more highly.

Dan and his crew installed a new flower bed, removed an overgrown azalea bush and removed a ton of leaves and debris from my yard. I am still amazed at how nice my yard looks now. I highly recommend Bowmans for your yard work.

They just finished a large job for us and we are very happy. They removed several Wax Myrtles and planted new Green Giants and Carolina sapphires, pruned our Crepe Myrtles and moved a half dozen sprinkler heads. Their crew was very professional and polite. And, great communication throughout the process... They called and emailed to confirm dates, tree placement and more... highly recommended!

They did a great job, even a last minute request was no problem. The yard looks fantastic. I will be calling them for another project in the future.

Absolutely amazing!! Terri was very quick and patient to answer all of emails, this is the first time I have ever used any lawn service. They did an AMAZING job on my lawn and I came home very happy! Highly recommend them!!

Let me start off and say Dan from start to finish of the project was very professional, knowledgeable, detailed and most of all provides outstanding customer service. His staff is top notch to ensure the customer is satisfied. I recommend this company above the rest. My family and I are 100% satisfied and hired them to do our yearly lawn care.

Called them to do an estimate on my lawn. Gave me the estimate and I wanted them to perform some work. Was told I would have to wait while they figure out when they can do the work in my area. Checked with them each week for three weeks. Still was unable to give me a date. Will be going with a more organized and a better company who wants their customers business.

Plan ahead because it can take some time because they are so busy, but once they come, they get it done. Half a yard of sod laid down in less than 4 hours. All debris removed. It was like they werent here except now we have a great looking new yard. Recommended.

Went away for the weekend and Bowmans completed sem-annual yard maintence. Cam home to a gorgeous yard. Great job Bowmans.

9/13/2017: Update: Company did reach out to me right away wanting to rectify the situation. I will be bumping this up to 2 stars This company came very highly recommended from a friend so I was excited to initially start working with them. Things started to go downhill with the initial quote. After checking with my friend I expected our pricing to be the same. The guy came out and the price was higher than expected. After I informed the office staff that I was a referral and that my friend had the same size yard and services, I expected that they would readjust the quote. This was not the case and they even threatened to call the person that referred me to increase their price to mine. I politely declined and accepted the quote hoping it would be worth it. The first treatment started in the late winter/early spring. The tech that came out completely missed a whole section of my yard with the weed killer. For the first 6 weeks of the spring the front corner of my yard look liked it was in shambles. When the tech visited the 2nd time this was corrected (Im sure they could tell they missed a huge section when they came back). As the months passed I expected to see results. I did not. I called the office and they confirmed that I was getting the weed killer treatment along with the fertilizer. She assured me things would start to look much better once summer got here. I wished I went with my gut, cut ties, and went with another provider at this point. I did not and have only myself to blame. I am now at the beginning of fall and my yard has seen better days. I treat my own ants, mow my own yard, and all of my sod that they are treating is patchy. In some areas its up straight dirt. They do not treat the 1/3 of my yard in the back that is not sod. This area was all dirt last winter and it now looks absolutely incredible. They do not fertilize it, they do not treat it for weeds, they simply do not touch it. I wish this was the case for my whole yard. I will be calling tomorrow and canceling this service. My only wish is that I had done this back in the early spring when I initially called. They did receive one star. They did a good job aerating my yard in the early summer.

I would never recommend this company. We were referred to this company because of quality service. This company cleared our back yard to lay sod and irrigation. The irrigation lines were ran too far into the neighbors yard. Lucky the fencing company caught it in time. But they still had to rerun the lines. Then they ran out of sod. It took over a week to get the sod and completed the job. 3 weeks later my entire backyard turned brown. The owner assured me it would come back to life next year. The owner wasn t here during the work at all, only meet him for the estimate and payment. The owner never followed up with me after the year to see if the lawn turned green. What a nightmare. Paid thousands for poor service.

Bowmans did seasonal mowing for us and did a great job. Always timely and a professional job. Will use them again in the future. Thanks Bowmans!

Bowmans Best did a general yard clean up, lots of trimming, removal of tree/bush and landscaping. It was a big job, and I could have asked for better service. Professional, prompt, reliable and communicated easily. Dan and Terri are wonderful to work with! I will definitely be recommending them to others. We are very happy with the work they did for us. Beyond happy. They fixed my yard, that was very patchy btw, faster than I expected! I was told by the other leading company- not going to mention the name but they were not as professional- that I needed to re sod my whole yard. We currently use their weekly service and I am more than happy.

We priced out almost a dozen companies before choosing Bowmans Best to do a complete landscape make-over on our yard. Bowman was the best priced and was able to provide ground leveling and drainage, tree removal, sprinkler system, sod, plants and trees, plus the ongoing maintenance. The crew working on the lawn were friendly and kind with my kids who wanted to help with every part of the project. Dan and Jason were great at answering all our questions. They returned many times after the project was done to make sure the sprinkler system and grass was doing as it should. Our yard is beautiful and so much more enjoyable. We get lots of compliments from visitors and neighbors.
