Virginia Green has taken care of my yard for two years. The service is excellent and the techs are always courteous. They write extensive, detailed notes on the service they provide and add suggestions based on findings. I am impressed with their service and their operation and my lawn looks great and is very healthy now.

Meh. Havent used them much. They did one treatment and I needed to have them stop because we are going with sod. I texted the tech who did the first treatment that I wanted to speak to a manager but he never responded (but had no issue using text to communicate previously). So after a week, I called to speak with a manager to see what options there was available since I was changing the plan and I had paid in full. I asked the call rep if I could speak with a manager and she stated she would help me. I said I kinda would just like to speak to a manager. She proceeded to explain that she knows everything a manager does. I have never had good experiences with call center reps but I decided to give her a shot. After explaining what I was doing she stated they would just basically skip the next treatment (one of the ones I already paid for) and just start up once the sod is installed. I asked, And what does that do for me? She got snotty and said, What do you mean? What are you needing, specifically? I just chuckled and said this is why I wanted to speak with a manager because I dont know what I need and would like someone to help me figure this out. She then started reading a script and I just went along with it. I own four companies and if any of my employees ever refused to get a manager when asked by a customer they would probably be fired.

Outstanding and professional service

We have been using Va Green for about 5 years now and we could not be happier with our lawn or the company s employees. For example, today John was spraying our yard, he found me outside and talked to me about the service and wanted to make sure we were happy with the lawn.

I reached out to Virginia Green after hearing an advertisement for a free quote. I sent in a request letting them know I wanted my yard killed and reseeded to basically start over in the yard (among other things). Instead of getting something scheduled, I began getting calls, texts and emails asking me what was going on in the yard, etc... All which couldve been answered easily by coming out for the quote that was requested. After about a week of this, I emailed them and cancelled the request. If its this much of a hassle just to become a customer, I can only imagine how much of a headache it is to deal with them and get my yard maintained on a regular basis.

Have found them to be fine for most basic services. I have typically had to call or get the service techs to address and kill some troublesome weeds. At times they apply treatments too quickly and miss areas. I have found that being outside when they service the property works best. The techs typically take extra care in their application and any needed spot treatments when being watched. Just my experience todate..

My neighbors lawn has REALLY turned around in a matter of 16 months. I called this morning to get my lawn on board I am convinced with his results and I want them too! I ve never considered lawn care service before until now and am excited to get started knowing how great a job they do. Will update with my own before and after pictures when the time comes!

So far so good. Theyve applied weed control once and killed a decent amount of weed. Just completed second application and waiting to see difference. Good customer service, helpful, and could answer all questions I had.

Never returned my call

Used for mosquito, flea and tick control. They did not begin treatment until June. Other services begin in April. Did not treat ditches. Came again on July 4th. STILL have not come in August. Finally got a commitment from them to come on August 18. 14 days overdue. Have called 3 times. We have lots of mosquitoes. IF they come again 30 days will be September 18. We wont need them in October. We, unfortunately, prepaid. We paid for 5 treatments. Dont get any where when requesting a refund. So, we might get 4 treatments, they pocket an extra $89. Goes without saying we wont be using Tru Green again. Also customer service is terrible and it is evident they dont care.

Thanks to a superb Virginia Green Account Manager, Ms. Gilley, a Virginia Green Supervisor visited my home and explained in detail the turmoil that my lawn currently was suffering - and how best to remedy it. The response was typical of Virginia Green and it allayed my concerns. I.appreciated it and their response.

Theyve taken over for my previous company Grass Roots who I thought was good but my lawn looks so much better under Virginia Greene also more services to chose from easily ordered from an app too, highly recommended

They have fully fertilized and seeded my yard for the last two years. They missed a large chunk of yard along the sidewalk and driveway. Also when the grass did not come in at all in the middle of the yard. I called and told them and they sat on it for over three months. When they finally did get somebody to come out and look at it. They said it was too late in the season to plant any seed. I ended up canceling with them. I called them on a Thursday to cancel spoke to two different people. But They never canceled my service so on Monday I called them back. They said in order to cancel my service I had to speak to their cancellation department. The cancellation department was out in the field and that they would follow up. I said I want to speak to somebody to cancel it and the lady gave me all kinds of attitude. I do not recommend this company nor using them at all they have been nothing but rude way late on everything and inconsiderate they will quickly run out to customers with their customer service alone. If there product worked the way it is supposed to then they are great but if there is a problem or they do anything wrong in their side consumer beware.

Easy interaction for setting up service. Prompt and polite techs. Called me day before to confirm time and explain process for treating yard.

First three years stopped aeration and seeding because nothing happened. Had to switch from their 7 treatments to six each year as they would not work around the leaves falling on the ground. This year tried to apply a discount for a referral. All of the sudden their Newport News office said they would call me back. Never heard from them. I then called the Williamsburg office. They now had a $75.00 price increase from years past. Girl tried to put me on hold and speak to another person. I told her she could call me back if she had a reasonable answer regarding the price increase. Never heard back from her. This is how they treat a six year customer.

Great people . Always one time

I had two treatments done with no results in weed control. I called the office and they sent a representative to explain their technique to control weeds. I reluctantly paid for the two treatments and was told they would apply additional products to kill the weeds. Over the next two months weeds were still present and growing. I called again but got no response except for the emails asking for $500 too aerate and seed. I finally cancelled after another month of weed growth. I continued to receive phone calls asking to set up the next service even after this. To top it off I just received a bill for two more months of NON weed control. DO NOT use Virginia Green.

Very disappointing experience. They drove and walked up the length of my long driveway just after I finished resurfacing it. Did I block off the end of the driveway so no one would go on it? Yes. They simply ignored my blockade. Also, their own tire marks and shoe prints, which were perfectly clear. I contacted the home office via email on their website and explained the problem. They sent no email in return. Is this the kind of outfit you want to do business with? Not me. I fired them.

Not really a place but a service, they have done a great job with my lawn so far.

Nice people

Dont waste your money to have the worst lawn of your street (like me). They offer low cost services that do nothing and then hit you up for add-ons every month. I had them aerate and overseed this year - what a mistake. For starters - theyd didnt bother to do my back yard at all - and the seed they use is heavy with Bluegrass - which dies - and has weeds already in it to boot....so youll be mulching more and calling them for more stuff....beginning to see how this whole scam works now? Dont do it - call someone else that really knows what theyre doing or do it yourself.

Had service for maybe five or six applications. Lawn looked worse after they treated. Very disappointed with results and discontinued service. Would not recommend these folks to any potential costumer.

Go to another company. VERY disappointed with the customer service. They had my parents yard on the wrong treatment plan and shocked/killed the grass. After treating the yard, the grass was burnt/dead by fall. They knew this and told my parents it would recover/come back in the spring. It has not. I have pictures of the yard before the damage they caused. The guy that came to check the grass after my mom called concerned, admitted she was on the wrong plan and he could tell the grass was shocked. He said they were going to aerate, give it a month and re-sod the worse areas that they agreed would not recover. Now, they are reneging on what they said they would do to remedy the situation.

I have heard good things about this company but I cant get someone to give me an estimate. I sent several requests on their website with no reply, I called and was directed to another line and the phone rang and rang after a minute or more I hung up. I called another time and was told someone would call me, no one called. I am going back to the company I have used before because if I have to beg to get an estimate how are they going to be if there is a problem.

Didnt have the same experience as these other folks unfortunately. After a year of treatment our lawn was still full of weeds and had discoloration all over. On top of that they simply couldnt get their billing straight and consistently claimed we were late on payment despite that we consistently paid EARLY.

They are reliable and consistent. After spending hundreds of dollars on other companies that did nothing for my lawn, I finally found a company who actions speak louder than words. Its December and most of my neighbors grass is already dead. My grass is still plush and green.
