We are so pleased that there is a company like Artisan that can provide irrigation services that meet the customers needs. Pricing is competitive compared to other options in The Villages.

I have used Artisan Outdoor Living on two projects in the past year. The first project was exterior landscaping for the front of my house. Within two months of that being finished, I worked with Artisan Outdoor Living on refreshing my lanai and landscaping my backyard. Frankly, a refresh does not accurately describe the transformation of my rear lanai. The project included installation of an outdoor kitchen, design of a dining area and a living room, and a sunning lounge area. It should be obvious that Artisan Outdoor Living did such a good job on my first project (landscape), that I engaged them to redo my lanai and t backyard. However, their work was beyond my expectations. The staff listen. They turn concepts into reality within a negotiated budget. All of their staff are professional, courteous, and responsive. Their design eye is sophisticated and can match myriad style preferences. As importantly, they are locals they will be here if something goes awry. I give Artisan Outdoor Living my highest recommendation. I certainly will turn to them for future needs.

This review is regarding Austin White, a state licensed irrigation specialist. As background to this review, it was a couple years ago I had my landscape beds redone by the company he works with Artisan Outdoor Living, formerly Luke s Landscaping. This man did not disappoint but lived up to what I d experienced before with other employees. Austin texted the time he d arrive this morning and was prompt. He was courteous, personable & respectful. Not only was he very knowledgeable about irrigation, systems, and plants but he also went the extra mile being patient to answer all my questions. He located a rather serious issue, reviewed it carefully with me, then fixed the problem on the spot. Kudos to Austin and to Artisan Outdoor Living for having him on their team. I give him 5 stars! We live in The Villages, FL and after interviewing several landscaping companies were fortunate to connect with Artisan Outdoor Living. We had some general ideas for our project. We sought and found this company that provided a landscape design for the entire outdoor area featuring plants that were cold and drought tolerant but also unique, beautiful and friendly to the native environment and especially pollinators (bees, dragon flies, and butterflies, etc.). Every person at Artisan Outdoor Living with whom we had contact from conception to execution and completion of the project was personable, solicitous of our thoughts and preferences, patient in answering our questions, conscientious and professional. Diego developed an exceptional 3D plan for us that met all of our needs. He went out of his way to show us multiple examples and options for the plants and stone and boulders and pathway materials and offered suggestions based on our home colors and property layout. He was present during the installation to oversee that the virtual design became a reality and to ensure that we were satisfied. When we decided last minute to make a few changes, he was flexible and accommodating. Furthermore, he saw that the project was commenced and finished in a timely fashion. We felt that Diego was a talented designer but also a practical advocate for us and we are extremely pleased with the beautiful haven that our yard has become thanks to him and the entire team at Artisan Outdoor Living including (Dustin, Josh, Mike, Stan, Luke and Joey).

We utilized Artisan Outdoor Living for landscaping all aspects of our outdoor space recently. They set up microirrigation for the plants and adjusted the lawn irrigation accordingly. As part of our project we engaged the services of Austin White, who is a state licensed irrigation specialist who is a vital addition to the Artisan Outdoor Living Team. Austin took the time to check on the microirrigation to ensure that each plant was getting the right amount of hydration. In addition, he evaluated our lawn irrigation and in some cases replaced ineffective sprinkler heads or installed more appropriate bowtie sprinkler heads or switched out standard sprinkler heads such that the distance and area of lawn being irrigated was optimized. He then installed a high efficiency filtration system for our landscape irrigation thereby decreasing the need to replace sprinkler heads due to sediment buildup. Austin demonstrated to us the ease by which we could quickly and effortlessly flush and clean the filter. He also set up the Hydrawise app for us and reviewed how we can take charge of making adjustments to our irrigation zones on our phones, even remotely, if desired. It is clear that Austin is an expert in his field. He gave us his contact information and volunteered to assist us in making adjustments remotely at no charge in the future. Whenever there is technology involved it can be potentially intimidating, however, Austin patiently explained and demonstrated to us how to manage the equipment that he installed and how to use the Hydrawise app and we feel confident that having the filtration system and the Hydrawise app will eliminate our concerns about our landscape and lawn irrigation and make it exceedingly easy to make any adjustments that are needed. We highly recommend Austin from Artisan Outdoor Living for any of your irrigation needs. It has given us peace of mind and our plants and lawn are looking very pleased despite the heat!

We had used Lukes Landscaping (now Artisan Outdoor Living) for a beautiful redo of our landscaping. While the landscaping crew re-routed and tuned the sprinkler heads for the new landscaping, we knew we had an aging and high-maintenance system. When we received an email from Artisan for a free inspection, we jumped on it. Austin came within a few days and went through the entire system, making suggestions for maintenance and suggestions for upgrades. I received an immediate email with all of the options with prices that I could choose from. Austin was already getting booked out, but he scheduled with us less than a month later, and showed up exactly on the day he booked for. He texted to let me know exactly when he would be arriving, and he got to work. He was here for 3 days, and I dont ever think I saw him rest. He installed a new controller, water flow meter, electronic shut-off valve, rebuilt the riser and back-flow limiter with sturdier pipe, cleaned out all the solenoid boxes and water meter box, replaced bad heads with new ones, added a couple sprinkler heads to cover new plants and new growth, and added a new drip irrigation system for our lanai plants. Austin kept me informed of progress, and because one installation was less work than anticipated, my bill actually ended up being less than quoted. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the installation, and love that the new controller will communicate with Artisan (and thus Austin) if anything should go wrong.

Austin worked on landscape irrigation issues. He was clear on what was needed, additional services available, and pricing. He was on time and prepared. He did exactly what he said he would do. I would use Artisan again.

Luke consulted with me to develop a plan to remove freeze damaged plants and weeds from beds and replace them with new plants including a strategy for controlling invasive plants that I wanted to include in the bed. He also planned modifications to the irrigation system to provide more efficient watering of the beds. Michael and Kai arrived as scheduled to do the work, verified the plan with me and consulted with me as they executed the project. Michael explained the new irrigation system to me and showed me how to turn off the special watering schedule after two weeks. All of the staff I encountered at Artisan, including Dustin who scheduled the initial consultation, were courteous, professional and customer focused. Michael and Kai worked diligently to complete the project to my satisfaction. This is the second time they have done work for me and I would not hesitate to use them again.

The Artisan Team did an amzing job with upgrading our landscaping. Their team was very professional and interactive with us and welcomed our input during the project. While theiy were more expensive than other providers, we definitely got what we paid for. Very pleased with everything. I would definitely recommend their services.

Wanted an economical design to bring together two different areas in our backyard. It turned out very attractive. They were prompt, went about there business and finished on schedule. Michael, Brandon and Andreis were professional, neat and thorough. Artisan Outdoor Living is highly remmended.

I called multiple landscape companys and only Luke from Artisan returned a phone call/email. From the initial meeting with Luke and through the 4 month process the team at Artisan could not have been more professional. The foreman Josh and his team were exceptional with the quality of work along with the daily communication with me. We made several in game changes that enhanced Lukes design. One of Joshs crew members even recommended a separate drain for the salt water overflow to prevent salt water from killing my new plants. That is above and beyond what is expected from a crew. Thanks guys, job well done. The project turned out just how I envisioned it.

I dont generally write reviews but I made an exception with Lukes Landscape. It was nothing but a positive experience beginning to end. Luke listened to what I wanted to accomplish, made some suggestions and provided an estimate with options. The install team of Rigo, Colin & Kai were on time, personable and professional. They were accommodating, when I made some changes regarding the removal of some bushes (should have listened to Luke in the first place)! Rigo made some plant suggestions that were spot on. I love the end result! Several neighbors have commented on how nice it looks. The price was slightly higher than other estimates but not when you consider the complete package of design and quality workmanship. I will not hesitate to use Lukes Landscape at The Villages again.

Other landscapers had already told me that my ambitious landscaping goals could never be realized, due to unusual deed restrictions. Then I met with Luke, who seemed undaunted by those challenges. He walked with me through every part of the property, offering insightful observations and possibilities each step of the way. And I was surprised the next day when he presented me with an innovative plan that revealed the creativity and vision of a true artist and the experience of a skilled craftsman. It also offered a stunning array of colorful plants and intriguing landscape innovations, and would give me the privacy, low maintenance and unusual curb appeal I was seeking. After I happily signed off on the plan, Luke personally helped guide my application through The Villages Architectural Review Committee and it received prompt approval. Significant implementation challenges still remained that would have led a lesser person than Luke to settle for less than I was seeking. Yet, once again, Luke came through with practical solutions to each problem. The group assigned the actual implementation to a dedicated and knowledgeable team. Rigo, the team leader, helped his team overcome each remaining obstacle with seeming ease. But just as the work was nearing completion and was already prompting compliments from neighborhood admirers, Mother Nature brought a hard freeze: worse than any freeze challenge in the past 5 years. Even so, the comprehensive warranty that Lukes Landscape offers provides me with genuine peace of mind. Even if plant damage or loss occurs, Ill be well protected. I highly recommend Lukes Landscaping to area homeowners. They will meet -- and surpass -- all your landscaping desires.

A lack of the correct sod held up the job but we were told in advance that it could happen and they kept us up to date as to when the work could take place. The young men on the job were fantastic. The initial design concept by Luke was brilliant! The Quality of the palms brought to our home exceeded my expectations. The crew that was here doing the work were considerate and professional. Joshua the Forman made sure we were happy with EVERYTHING and was extremely personable.

Josh s crew did a very good job installing gutter drains, planting flowers, a concrete pad area for our grill, and doing some general trimming of landscaping. They were on time and very courteous!

I had a strip of hedge in the back of my house that was no longer maintainable because the hedges were the wrong kind of bush and the branches of the hedge were several inches thick and could not be cut with a hedge trimmer (needed a chain saw). Further, the hedges (both his and mine) were improperly planted such that they both ran up to the common property line. The law requires you to plant with a space between the plant and the property line. Neither hedge met this requirement. The new plants/bushes. Flowers meet this requirement. I talked with my neighbor and told him what I would like to do to rectify the situation and told him I would pay for it. He agreed. I hired a landscaper to remove this hedge including the stumps right up to my property line. The existing hedge was planted before my ownership and the hedge on my property overlapped with my neighbor s hedge right on the common property line. The only part of the existing hedge that was left after my initial trim was that portion of the hedge that was 100% on my neighbors property. This is when I hired Luke s Laandscaping to help me out. Luke was a certified arborist and he understands the Rules for planting on one s property. I knew very little about plants and bushes so I gave Luke a free hand in the selection process. That appealed to me. I told him I wanted to install bushes/flowers that could be maintained via a regular hedge trimmer. I told him to plant 3 colored flowers in the backyard alongside the neighbors remaining hedge and to install the necessary maintainable bushes to extend my new hedge from the neighbors hedge out to the edge of my property, These bushes were to be ones maintainable with a regular hedge trimmer. I asked him to remove any bushes he felt should be replaced with other bushes/flowers/plants along both sides of the house as well as in the front of the house. Again the theme was easy maintenance. The crew that performed the redesign worked well together and quickly. They each had a job to do and they worked independently. Any time there was a question, they sought me out, showed me the situation and we settled it right then and there.They include a warrantee on every item they used in the redesign. They moved sprinklers as needed, planted and mulched as needed and installed sod where needed, The job is now finished and my new yard looks great. I thought the price was very reasonable. I recommend Luke s Landscaping for people who want a quality job at a fair price.

Ive used Lukes Landscape for many years and keep going back to him and his people because of the quality of the work, timeliness, pand professionalism. Most recently Joshua and his crew did some maintenance work and minor installs for me and Josh and crew were excellent. Unfortunately, and maybe because of Lukes excellent work, he has gotten really expensive. Nonetheless, its worth it if you want the work done right. Highly recommend.

Want to thank Lukes Landscape for redesigning, replanting and providing a badly needed solution to my drainage problems. I got bids from 3 different companies, and am very glad I included Lukes. His was a personal reference from a friend, and they stressed that while they will not be the cheapest, you will get an excellent and unique result. They were correct - the other companies were very cookie-cutter and didnt seem to listen to my input. We had large changes to the entire landscape/hardscape (front, back, and sides), changing out almost all the plants, adding block and cap in the front, a concrete patio in the back, and increasing the privacy screening. We also added a beautiful fountain and wanted it to fit into the new landscaping. Luke gave us a wonderful design, and was very flexible on some portions so we could make changes as we saw it develop. RIgo was our project manager, and he worked with us to ensure that their results fit our evolving picture. He did a great job of communicating changes to come, when decision points were, and kept the crew rolling along. He was extremely patient with my endless questions, offered great suggestions and helped immensely. Thanks again, Rigo - we can hardly wait to see how this new landscape matures into a beautiful and private retreat. Thanks to Luke, Dustin, Rigo, and the crew - it was a great experience and we are extremely happy clients! Update - it is now Nov, 6 months after the project was done and we are even happier with the results. It looks amazing, and our neighbors have all complimented us on how great it looks. I did have several plants that didnt survive, and they have arranged to replace them - excellent follow up. Often, the real truth to a good contractor is not just the original work but what happens after the job is done if there are any issues - and they have been just as responsive and supportive. Great team, beautiful results, thoroughly satisfied client.

I have used Artisan on 2 separate occasions. The first was to establish a butterfly garden. The second, to completely remove old landscaping and replace with a spectacular landscape design in the front of my home. The installation crew is great to have on-site! They are organized, quiet, and polite. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. While there are still several issues to be resolved, I am confident that Luke will take care of these issues. I have engaged Luke s Landscaping for new landscaping as well as upkeep (trimming, weeding). Luke and his team are experienced and trustworthy. Luke paid a courtesy call last winter when my trees and shrubs had been affected by the unusually cold temps. He recommended holding off on any removal or immediate trimming and told me that he thought the plants would come back. He was right! Also, last summer the team sourced a problem with a staked young tree (stake had cracked at ground level) and they replaced the stake in advance of forecast bad weather. I also recommend Luke s right hand man, Dustin, who handles the scheduling. In advance of my last appointment Dustin took the time via phone to counsel me on the trimming of particular trees and shrubs, etc. He s highly professional. Thank you Luke and Team!

From design to completion, I was extremely impressed and satisfied with this company. I had no landscape design in mind, only the desire to use travertine stone. The design they created was perfect for my needs and was completed by skilled workers. This is the second time that I have used Lukes Landscaping. The current job was to completely redo the front landscaping of the house I just bought. Lukes recommendations for plants that met my criteria, the color and design for the curbing and the quality of the installation were outstanding. Luke has a great group of knowledgeable and friendly employees. In a couple of months, Lukes will completely redo the landscaping in the rear of my house. We ve used Luke s landscape at the villages numerous times, all to our complete satisfaction. FAR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS The initial project was to redo the landscaping in my backyard and when I saw the design that Luke created I expanded it to my front yard and the the results were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My property has a very updated look and it matches the design and colors of my home. I cant say enough about how happy I am with the results. Luke spent a good deal of time with us during the initial review and estimate process to answer questions and give us advice and guidance, and he was willing to come back and go over the project again with us before we finalized our plans. He was professional and easy to work with, and we never felt dismissed or rushed. Lukes team led by Shelby created a very nice landscape design for us on site. We were asked for our input along the way before final decisions were made. The team worked well together, cleaned up our driveway every day, and were very professional and accommodating. We asked Shelby for a few tweaks during the course of the work, and his response was always positive. We also had a number of questions during the course of the project, and Shelby took the time to answer them for us. He provided the time we needed to learn how to irrigate the new plants and work our landscape lighting, timer and the app. His team finished on time and worked diligently and efficiently each day. We are very pleased with the end result and would highly recommend Lukes Landscape for any hardscape, landscape or lighting work.

His employees showed up on time on the days they were supposed to, are hard workers, very polite, and cleaned up after themselves. Luke refreshed our landscaping then trimmed and replenished with wonderful colorful plants. He then installed a magnificent lighting package which enhances all the landscaping I can t say enough about Luke as a designer. Luke just finished the landscaping for our home. His team was very professional and extremely helpful. When the team was waiting for the delivery of our stones, they even pulled the weeds from our flower pots. They also helped with adjusting all the sprinkler heads in our yard, not just the ones that were affected by the new landscaping. They were very courteous, on time, worked the whole day with only a break for lunch and made sure we were happy with the work as it progressed. We would definitely use them in the future.

Just used Lukes for the first time to trim our bushes. They did a great job. Showed up on time, worked hard and finished in a timely manner. Very professional. After trimming they shook all the bushes to get out any branches and leaves and raked and took everything away. We will definitely be using them to do all our trimming and landscape needs.
