TruGreen is a waste of money. The installers rush through their work and don t achieve full coverage of the product. The only benefit I saw was with dandelions. Thats why I gave two stars. I still had crabgrass and a yard full of weeds. I really had high expectations, but was very disappointed in the results.

lawn never looks good. SPOTS ARE DIEING. We have ants and spiders in the house so you must not be spraying around the base of the house as you use to do. Basically I do not know if we will continue with your company next year if things do not improve.

This company killed my beautiful lawn with their inexperience. Never use these criminals. If youre using them.... run dont walk away from them now. Youve been warned!

The lawn guy did ring my doorbell and that is good. I like to know when they arrive so I can keep my dog inside. Otherwise I dont like to keep her inside all day just waiting.

Was All seasons customer, called to cancel True Green months ago when the merger happened. Today they showed up and completed their treatment without my consent or call ahead. When talking to a customer service representative she argued with me saying our system shows we called you . I spoke with no one today from TrueGreen. It was frustrating just talking to her about my experience and trying to cancel services again.

Horrible company. Do not expect to be contacted by anyone when you request to speak with a manager or supervisor. Do not expect to be serviced on the day the claim to set you up on. Do not expect them to care about any concerns you have. I am still waiting on service that was supposed to start in February, I have made multiple calls, sent emails, even reached out via messenger and as of this review I still havent been contacted or serviced. Update 3/18/2024 Still waiting for a service that was supposed to resume in February. Called the phone number for the service manager in Wichita, left a message and have not received a call back. So I guess my saga with this company continues.

Trugreen has taken care of my lawn for over 15 years. They help me keep it lush and green.

They over sprayed and killed my bushes. I did not renew my contract, yet they came out and did a treatment after contract expired. I tried to call but a 15-20 minute call wait time? So I tried chat. Chat that gives you a scripted answer and decides when they are done talking with you. I will pay for this treatment to keep my credit in good standing, but I will never use your service again.

He was very attentive, and answered all my questions. I didnt feel like I was being rushed, and he offered good advise.

Selling your information to 3rd parties. Attempted Upsale on every interaction. Even asking them to stop upselling you they will not stop. Per their rep they said they will only call for Up Selling and they dont ever call about any issues on the account. They ended up selling my information to a 3rd party as the Typos are the same in both the 3rd parties information and the information given to TruGreen. BEWARE!!!!

Specialists Brad and Richard both have excellent customer relationship skills and are knowledgeable of the work they are performing. Phone calls to the home office have also been handled in a very professional manner. Now we ll just wait to see if my lawn looks better, but so far I ve been very pleased.

Worst service. After 3 applications weeds are still thick. Their customer service is worthless. Managers not responsive. Cant get to anyone local.

Waited over 2 weeks to schedule bagworm spraying. Promised to come 1 of 2 days. Didnt show. Asked why and was told they tried to call me and no answer so they canceled service. I had no calls on my phone from TruGreen. I had been using them since they purchased TenderCare for both lawn care and tree spraying.

They came 2 weeks ago and did wrong yard I called my rep and he never called back so I called them and they made it right . They come out again still no sign in yard so I don t know if they did right yard again. Guy even called me and I asked him to leave sign.

He was nice looked at yard and treated it, this is first visit so waiting for results

Didn t provide the full service we were paying for. Came back out and watched them ignore trees that were on our account. Only offered to come remeasure and not correct the problem for a second time. Update: customer service called and reschedule a technician to come back out. We waited 12 hours for him not to show and not call despite the tracker saying they would be here in less than 1 minute. The general manager was suppose to call me 2 weeks ago and was reminded per customer service a week ago due to a dead tree that has a bag worm infestation that has been on our account for 2 years. We never heard from the general manager. I have a 5 gallon bucket of bag worms that we ve picked and video showing they were still alive after picking and a charged service of treatment. I will say a refund of one service was offered. But no resolution on dead trees.

After signing up for the services we struggled a bit. The first 2 representatives to show up had a poor work ethic and did not perform the services promised. We shared this with the company. They did send an 3rd individual that we were extremely impressed with & satisfied with his performance of duties. We have requested that they send him for future services. Hopefully this will continue until the end of our contract. We would decide then whether to renew the contract or not.

I used All Seasons Lawn for 30 years. TruGreen just purchased them. I received a letter this week to notify me. I had a service call in 3 weeks ago about a tree disease. I called today and TruGreen said they cancelled my service because I had a $14 bill outstanding from All Seasons. My first interaction with them is terrible, and I didnt get any answers - and now my tree is half dead. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I appreciate Austin answering my questions regarding fertilizing my yard. I have a new puppy and didn t want her to get sick. We decided to only fertilize the front yard. He was very helpful.

I was curious on what their rates were and now they wont leave me alone. Ive been getting calls constantly the past couple weeks from all over the country from TruGreen. Its complete harassment. I dont want to do business with a company like this.

Good services..they do their job.. My only observation would be the communication aspect of their visits..not always clear as to when they will be providing services, or what, until they slip a notice onto the door...

This is a very poor managed service you are not available to talk to anybody locally. Only the call center answers your calls and most of the time they are foreigners who you cant understand. They have no idea about the Kansas wind and how important it is that your lawn is not sprayed in 22 mile an hour winds. More weeds now than we had when they started.

Great pro lawn care

I had a lot of dandelions and other weeds. After first application I could see a difference in less than a week. I am l ooking forward to a beautiful green lawn this summer.

I moved back to Kansas , retired senior citizen and had used Tru green to get a yard back in shape before. Hired TruGreen and came out with prompt services. Over last year I had a few weeds but I made them come out and take care weed problem went I started getting more. A Manager inspected my property and said that they would take care of the problem and it would be better this year. My neighbors even asked me if they could put up a barrier to make sure they didn t get weeds in there yard this year so that s why I have got rid of Trugreen and please do not let them take a vantage of anybody else thank you

I had weeds still growing on my lawn & called for a 2nd spraying. I watched the man spray & noticed he was doing a flimsy job of spraying weeds that He Didnt See....... I stepped in & showed him weeds he passed up, the spray was weak & not much was falling on the weeds at all, plus he wasnt applying the area very well at all & called him back to spray several areas he was missing. Now weeks later, I still have weeds & decided to call & cancel the program. A woman answers and before I could explain the situation and was going to cancel, & do the job myself. She started telling me it takes time that I shouldnt be using RoundUp and was giving me a long lecture on it, and I couldnt get a word in at all & finally had to yell at her. The more I tried to explain why I was cancelling, the more she talked and I couldnt get a word in. I had to literally YELL at her that I wanted to talk to someone else that isnt going to interrupt me every time I open my mouth, then hung up. Its disappointing because the lady that originally set up my program was extremely nice & helpful. Im very disappointed with TruGreen.

I am absolutely beyond livid with TruGreen. I have no idea how they got my email address but they wont STOP sending me emails wanting my business!!! Week after week, month after month ... these guys just dont stop. I have asked them repeatedly to remove me from their list to no avail. JUST STOP IT ALREADY !!!

Paid yearly for law services and received no service three months in a row with one complementary service that was just fertilizer. They would even say they serviced the yard through their app and had on video that nothing was treated. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Had to cancel my service plan and demand a refund.

Do not use if you have any pets that you love! We made sure when setting up the first visit that everything they would use on our lawn would be safe for all pets! They assured us it was all safe! They got here and said oh you have English bulldogs we have to use something else because they are so sensitive. I thought that was great, they knew what they were doing! Apparently they have no clue! Because of their chemicals we lost 2 English bulldogs and 1 was paralyzed from neck down. He did live but had to relearn how to walk and lots of medical bills. We are thankful he s alive but will have issues forever! All because of Truegreen! They didn t care at all and just said we could cancel our service! Ya think? Please do not use!!! Not safe no matter what they say!

This work was follow up on a previous seeding job. Attention to detail was excellent and the crews knew what they were supposed to do and completed the work in a professional manner.

TruGreen core aerated and overseeded the lawn. First, they provided watering tips for us to prepare the ground for the aeration and seed. Then, they made sure to schedule the service when the ground temperature was conducive to support germination. Much attention was given to the mechanics of the aeration process. The overseeding was truly OVERSEEDING! They added seed in bare spots and made sure distribution covered all parts of the lawn. They swept every seed off the concrete back into the lawn. We we given detailed watering tips on how to take care of watering and mowing through each phase afterwards. Germination appeared exactly when predicted! Our lawn looks better already, but it should look stunning in the spring. Thank you TruGreen!

We have a regular application of fertilizer and weed control. After the application process theres fertilizer on the sidewalks. It would be great if the applicator person would blow off the sidewalks. This would eliminate the large spots that are created when the sprinkler system wets the sidewalks.

TruGreen truly is not the same company. We invested in our landscaping this year and splurged to have TruGreen treat our lawn. They applied too much chemical and burned up our grass. (A rep told us they had terminated one of their staff for doing so which reinforces what we experienced.) For some reason, my husband gave them one more chance to aureate and over seed our yard with the promise that it was guaranteed. TruGreen showed up 3-days late and spent less than one-hour to aureate and over seed our front and back yard. It should have taken much longer; it was an unprofessional and careless attempt. The grass is not coming up in multiple patches. We just called and guess what...no guarantee! We have spent the last several hundred dollars with TruGreen. The only thing green about this company is the green they take for poor service. We will NEVER hire TruGreen again and sadly can no longer recommend their services.

Was looking to get rid of clover a few years ago. True Green not only eliminated the clover, but since then they have effectively controlled the crabgrass and broadleaf and increased the density and quality of our grass which is mix of Bermuda and all season Fiscue mix.

Dont sign up with them as you will NEVER be able to reach them to cancel your service. Yes there sign you up to a contract fast, but you then cant reach them to ever cancel.

Had them come out last spring and they hit my sprinkler heads and broke them I was in my garage watching them and when he was done he didn t say anything to me plus my yard looked terrible I could have done a better service and saved money and went to Lowe s I ll never ever use or recommend them

Im a new customer paid for everything in full then received a bill. Tried over and over to contact them. Always a 3hr hold time. $700 down the drain.

I have been trying to reach someone at TruGreen for over 3 weeks. Wait time to TALK to someone is over TWO HOURS! The chat is equally as bad. I have yet to reach anyone, mainly because...who has that kind of time. They need to re-treat my yard, but how am I supposed to tell them that? VERY frustrated.

Hello, This was my first time using TruGreen. I was impressed that after registering my account, TruGreen emailed letting me know when Troy, my personal technician for my lawn would be arriving on time to my location. After the treatment was done, I received a detailed email of all that Troy had done to the lawn and advised to water the lawn and what weeds and such he had found and that I could call or email him if I had questions or needed him to come back out if I had more weeds that needed to be looked at. Nice job TruGreen and Troy!!

Charged for service i did NOT request said all customers receive grub control. SO I CANCELLED.

I was always notified when serviceman would be having to my property. They had yard sprayed and done fairly quickly.

Started out with great service, things have declined this year. Management is working on turning things around. The good thing about them is they set out to make things right by free service call when things were done wrong.

Waited three months to charge my card for one service (that didn t take) even after I canceled the rest of them. They bombarded me with phone calls though they had my card on file to charge for the payment on my CANCELED ACCOUNT and hung up on me. Had to call the 800 number to get my refund because the local people wouldn t do it. Never again. Go to Lowe s and save your money.

It was a lot better five years ago.

We paid them a lot of money to see no results so we decided to cancel our services. We have now called FOUR times to cancel and are told all of our services are cancelled and even provided a cancellation #. Then, a week later we get a voicemail saying our next service is scheduled. We call again and cancel AGAIN. Then, the guy comes to our home and walks through our yard picking up leaves and puts them in a baggie, tapes it to our door with a note that we are due for service. What part of cancelled is confusing? I do not want strangers in my yard after I have told you 4 times not to come to my house again. I do not know what else to do to get this cancelled. My husband and I have both called numerous times and are assured our account is closed, only to be scheduled for service again. We will never be using TruGreen again and not recommending them to anyone. Not only was it poor lawn service (which I would have let go) but they are impossible to cancel with and try to continue to charge you for things you do not want or need.

Affordable and they are professional!

I signed up for a while, but then I canceled. They kept coming out after I canceled and charged me more money. I disputed with my credit card, they agreed with me, and gave the scam charges back. Now they re hounding me with a debt collection agency. Stay far away from this scam company. Their subscriptions and deceptive practices are not worth it. Patronize a good local company that treats you decently.

The yard did end up looking better, but the first time they came to treat my lawn I was sleeping when he rang the doorbell. After waking up, I observed him only treat half of the backyard. I went to talk to him once I noticed he was getting ready to leave and ask him to do the rest, but he already drove off. I called and they gave me the treatment for free and said he would never come again and that another person would. I also arranged for them to only do it when I was home. But its sad that you cant trust the company. A coworker of mine told me he had the same issue.

Called about a quote and was rudely told good luck if wed do it on our own, and was cut off several times when discussing the lawn care package.

Good Service

Started this year and our lawn is responding very well. Its not the greenest on the block but it is getting there. Crabgrass and weeds are almost non-existent now. Getting better and everytime. Going to have them reseed the front yard this fall. Wish I had taken before and after photos. Next year possibly be the greenest on the block.

I live in a pretty low budget neighborhood. Maybe that s my problem, but I pay good money for a weed free yard and I have tried the mosquito treatments. I am getting about 40% satisfaction out of my money s worth. Move on and find a better deal.

Just the same old run around sell me a product that I dont need and you dont provide the product that I do need. Ive given you guys numerous chances over the last decade and a 1/2. It appears that everything you guys can do for hundreds of dollars I can do from home depot or lowes for $25 or less. Probably not gonna recommend again.

Trugreen is truly a scam artist. They didnt do anything they said they would and half the time that they showed up they didnt do anything. They told me that they were going to refund me part of what I paid but never did and its been over 2 months. I highly recommend you just take care of your own lawn because this company is a complete and total scam to take your hard earned money. - Edit: One month later after they messaged me here and I sent an email I get a phone call from a woman who asks if things have been taken care of... If course it hadnt since they never reached out to me... Then they got the local people to call me back again and supposedly they are going to refund part of my services. I highly recommend that no one uses this company.

So today and went and looked at my checking account and found out that TruGreen had debited my account without my authorization. This is the 2nd time this has happened which is why we took our card off the account and cancelled the auto pay. Then today comes and they debited our account. I called to find out how our card got put back on our account without our authorization and why our we were debited without our authorization and all they could tell me that someone would have had to call to activate it. 1. Neither me or my spouse called to authorize use of the card again 2. I have been paying by check for at least a year due to the previous issue of them double billing me So again, they are being shady and trying to get more money from people who are on auto pay. I am going to cancel their service and never use them again. CROOKS!

Pay all this money to get a healthy green lawn and I get the exact opposite. Grass never grew in, now its just mud. I was told at the beginning of the season, by the end of the of their treatments my lawn would look like a golf course. Yeah an abandoned one.

The customer experience is not pleasant. They performed a service at my residence without authorization and then sent me a bill. There was not any notice given that they were coming out. The rep on the phone tells me that they sent out a mailer in December stating that they will roll over service for the next year unless you authorize them not to. I never saw any letter. Another interesting piece is that this company will call me 3 times a month trying to upsell me on something. But yet they cant call me to start the new year service? Very sketchy and although I love their lawn care results I will not be using them in the future as their business practices are not what I would consider transparent and honest.

Had my first service a week ago. So far I am impressed by the professionalism of the service I received. My lawn will be the judge as the year goes on. I am hopeful that it will be truly lush and green. All they have to do is keep up the good work they have already started and they will have a customer for life.

Grass looks great. However the weeds are still alive. Dandelion and purple splurge still coming on.

I was happy with the first treatment. The first treatment took care of the weeds that I had in my yard. And it is growing and looking great.

I gave them my address and set up the appointment to have my weeds killed and the representative read back my correct address but his crew ended up spraying my neighbors lawn instead of mine. called to reschedule and still waiting til this day for them to return.

This is the third year I have contracted with TruGreen. Weeds have practically over run my yard. They keep telling me they will get it under control, but it keeps getting worse. This is just the first week of June. They treated my yard on 5/31. I now have brown spots in my front yard, which is sod installed by a professional company 3 years ago. Not Good.

Set me up with a fair price and soea a great job. Not much more you can say.

I have ALWAYS treated my own yard myself and have had very good results. I decided to try Truegreen one year to see if they could do a better job than me. The very first treatment they killed a great stand of grass under my fence gate. They hit both sides with the fertilizer and thus too much, thus killing a great looking area. They broadcast spread and I always drop spread for this very reason. Drop spread allows you to better control what is being put down. I called the local Truegreen company only to get the corporate number. After several attempts to connect with a supervisor I was told that one of their supervisors would be calling me. The supervisor came out and inspected the area and stated they would come back in the fall and reseed all the areas. Even though I have had issues with Truegreen, they have addressed my issues every time. I am very particular and expect quality even though life happens and accidents sometimes cannot be avoided. I am VERY IMPRESSED with the response to my concerns and how quickly and to my satisfaction addressed. Not sure if other companies respond as quickly and with as much concern, but Truegreen sure does. If you have NEVER used a professional company to treat your lawn, then I recommend giving Truegreen a chance. You will be glad and will have the best looking lawn in your neighborhood; unless they too use Truegreen.

Hired them this year for the first time. We have had nothing but problems. We just keep getting more weeds and now we have brown spots all over the yard.

I had heard about the company and looked them up on the internet. Once I placed my info online, they called me within 2 minutes. Once we agreed on services needed, they came out within three days. Very professional, knowledgeable, and prompt.

This number goes to an answering service out of the city. Dont expect a call back either.

Great lawn care with professional and reliable service. Only suggestion I have for TruGreen is to reduce the number of phone calls. Its nice to be kept informed, but I feel theres an excessive number of calls.

Lawn service has been great. Getting the promised $20 sign-up bonus has proven to be a joke. Not sure how many phone call are worth getting $20. Cannot be settled on-line, have to call. When calling, you ever get the right person to help with this. Poor business practice to offer and then not deliver. Signed up because of neighbors experience, not for the $20, but...

I called TruGreen because our ash trees were having signs of the emerald ash borer bug. The TruGreen rep agreed with it was this over the phone and we set up for them to come for 4 treatments for all 5 of our trees (was told the treatment cost would cover 5-7 trees). We werent here on the 1st visit. However, on the 2nd visit we realized they just had in their notes to only treat the 2 trees in the front yard. I had to call and they apologized, stating that we were actually paying for all the trees to be done, but for some reason the notes did indicate only the front. Also, I asked the person on the phone about the treatment our trees were getting put on, as the notes left by the service person who sprayed didnt say anything about it being for the ash borer. The person on the phone agreed and said thats typically a different treatment than what our trees received. Also, in looking at my notes, I saw that on my initial phone call setting up the service, they said Id receive $15 off the first treatment, which also didnt happen. Im waiting for a call from the manager but am extremely unhappy with their services, as it has essentially all been incorrect. They only sprayed 40% of the trees they were supposed to (& we wouldnt have even known that if we werent home when they sprayed), they didnt actually spray for the issue we called about (ash borer), and they didnt give the discount promised initially. Also, although we initially only agreed to the 4 treatments, we saw on the fine print on the receipt left that they will continue services indefinitely until we call to cancel. The whole service seems to almost be a scam. I would prefer to just get our money back and go with a company that we can count on to do what they say they will.

This company is a complete fraud!! Ive been using true green for almost a year now and they havent done anything for weeds. Theyve aerated and over seeded twice and theres no new growth. My yard has not benefited from true greens service at all.

Im sure many folks have great experiences with Trugreen. Unfortunately mine wasnt. After reading the website extensively I was expecting to have a professional introduction to lawn care rather than having a guy show up and start shoveling chemicals on the lawn. I even requested that I get a call before the first service so that I could be there to discuss some of my concerns. All I got was a notice saying treatment was complete. To compound the issue, the call center (thats your only way to contact them) could do nothing but send messages to the local office, which is exactly what they did to get me my non-call. They seem to suffer from poor communication both internally and with their customers. Its not worth the premium cost.

Got an estimate for everything+aeration and over seeding (lawn wise) online. Called the next day to start service and was quoted a price for everything (including aeration and over seeding) that was almost $40 more expensive ($83-ish) than the online quote of $40-ish. Said I wasnt interested at that price and to take me off of their list of potential clients. Was contacted later that day by someone in the local office. The gentleman said he could get us a special price. Quoted me a price closer to what I had gotten online, but when I inquired what it included, he said it was the service WITHOUT aeration and over seeding...that would be an extra $212...which, when broken down into monthly increments, brought us back to the $83-ish a month that they originally wanted. When I pointed that out, I was told Well, thats the price. It is what it is.. Soooo...not really a special deal? Ok. Told them I wasnt interested AGAIN and to take me off of their list of people to call. Have received 3 calls since. EVERY TIME Ive asked to not be contacted again. So, A) To Trugreen, sorry guys, I can do math, and I dont appreciate the attempted sneakiness. B) To potential customers, unless you want to be incessantly barraged with phone calls, dont give them your number. Its not worth your sanity. To be clear, Id rather have my lawn wither up and die than deal with this company. Run. Run fast, run far. Youve been warned.

My experience with them is not that great. of course they are very good at weed control. But I hate the sales person who promised me a lot , but nothing happened as promised. They promised me that my grass in my front lawn will be greenish as shown in their picture. but it didnt even grow and I complained them multiple time. Now they asked me to sign up for another year.The seed which I sow before them started growing.

They will try anything to rip you off

They lied and said they applied fertilizer to my lawn but they did not. Please be careful, this company will charge you for services that they dont do. They will also try to upsell you on stuff you dont need. This was an awful experience.

Let the pictures do the talking. Hired them in the spring and watched my lawn slowly be destroyed. Save your money, the management locally will get offended if you question results. Finally rescheduled and took a day off work so I could watch the tech in action, was able to video tape him spraying for weeds it was absolutely absurd to watch him wonder spraying aimlessly. Maybe sprayed 50% of the yard. The National number you call are great to deal with. Local franchise is a joke.

Quoted $54 and change per application, each time it was over $100 with no notice. Didnt do an application once because the gate was locked, it wasnt locked. The following week I left the gate open so there was no confusion and upon completion of the job, tech left the gate open for the remainder of the day. No respect for anything was my experience.

Front yard is doing great. Few isolated weeds but minimal. Back yard is not as good. Dealing with a lot of shade from tree line of adjoining field. Fast growing weed trees. Suppose I could be watering more in hot season. Pleased with overall results of lawn treatments though.

Tru Green have improved the look and feel of our lawn since we moved into this house 5 years ago. It was just weeds back then but now we have soft green grass. If I every have an issue with weeds on the lawn I just place a call to Tru Green and arrange for someone to come back out at no extra cost.

Keep lawns beautiful. Great weed control. Hard working technicians are knowledgeable and professional.
