Had to go back again and say I would not recommend this company- From the beginning they had accounting issues and even though they took money from my bank account automatically - they said I missed a payment and had to pay more- never again

They were prompt in getting the work done but communication was poor. They didnt not prune all the damage from the storm damage but billed for it. I had hoped to negotiate but radio silence after they completed the work. I will shop around for quotes to get the rest if the pruning done. It was really expensive for what they completed. But they were fast and professional

I had to give them 1 star and I m moving on. We have a small yard and they sprayed a couple of weeks ago. I have a lot of weeds and I e mailed to my applicator and he told me he wasn t in my neighbor hood and wouldn t do anything until next application?? So if you want a company that doesn t care about you and customer service I would avoid them: Seemed nice at first and have one complaint and no help? I was told a manager would call and they never called.

Just wanted to leave a review as people are looking for lawn care this spring and summer. We used them last summer to do yard clean up. First, they showed up without the proper equipment. Whoever was in charge of our project failed to mention to the crew they would need a digger to dig out the 3-4 foot wide root balls, not just shovela. Second, after it was all cleaned up and soil placed, they only put down the grass seed, nothing to help hold the soil in place. It washed out the following weekend. It took 2 months to get them back to fix everything. Again, poor communication at the company. The crew that returned only did a fraction of the original work and I had to tell them what all they missed to fix. They still didnt fix all the areas, and this spring we are left fixing what they didnt do last fall. For the price they charge, they did not do the quality work we anticipated. Highly recommend shopping around for lawn service if you are in the market for it.

We are new to Ryans Lawn and Tree Service and so far we are very impressed. They are quick to respond, estimate, and service our needs. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Their portal site is really nice and helpful. While we are new to Ryans, so far, our experience has been awesome, and we highly recommend them.

Same story as Ken Davis review. Wow. Lawn care people are different than irrigation people. Inefficient. Will not schedule routine services with neighborhood routine service next store. Also, they are over priced.

Yard needed fertilized and the sales rep knew exactly what was needed and said they could get it looking decent in a year. The person doing the application quoted me one thing, charger me another, and then said they under quoted me when he bid it and would be raising my prices the next year. The yard looked the exact same as it did before they did any yard treatments. I messaged the applicator to talk about it and he said it was in his overly generic report that could have been for any yard. I cancelled my last service and will not be doing business with them again.

My husband tried to call them several times for a potential job at our residence. For the last three days he was put on hold for over 15 minutes and had to hang up in frustration with this company. We re disappointed with them being non responsive.

Paul and another gentleman came out to try and find a sprinkler line. They did a fantastic job and took the time to adjust other heads in my backyard. I don t know why I bother with replacing heads when these guys can do it in five minutes and it is done right. Ryan also installed A Rachio controller and I love it! I am always using Paul and Ryan Lawn and Tree as he (they) know what they are doing! Thanks Paul! Works great now

After multiple phone calls to see about service, I get please hold, we are experiencing higher than normal call volume and then the music plays for a while, then the same message . Nobody answers or returns calls . Who all is calling for lawn service? Everyone? At the same time? Every time I call?? I tried to do the live chat . Nothing . So with no call back, no opportunity to talk to someone about our lawn issues . I am out. Customer service is as important if not more important than the product/service you are receiving. Good luck if you want service, you might be better off flagging down a red truck.

So far my yard looks great. Those weeds are dying and the grass is green.

Troy is very thorough when treating the yard. I had some broadleaf weeds pop up and he was on site immediately to treat them. He has helped our yard continue to be a standout property in our neighborhood.

Always professional and very friendly. They explain what was done and when they would return, if necessary. Have had them remove tree, grind stump with great result. They also treat my crabapple tree annually, which looks much better.

Paid hundreds of dollars replacing broken heads/rotors, irrigation activation, system check. Only to have NONE of it function. I am actually concerned that they broken the electrical system when the guy stated he had to do some rewiring . Now our yard is dying and they won t come out to fix it for two weeks. So lowes is irrigating our yard for 32$ and it s already better quality than what we received from Ryan Lawn

I ve been using Ryan s lawn & Tree for 5 years. I ve referred several of my neighbors after being asked how I keep my yard free of weeds. They always call or text the day before they treat my yard.

Good service, got my sprinklers and system back up and running again, nice to have it back up. Installed a new Smart controller makes it nice to run it remotely or adjust use to the weather.

We have been so pleased having Eric as the Ryan technician for doing maintenance and repair on our sprinkler system. We actually look forward to Eric coming out. His friendly customer service, positive attitude, conscientious work on analyzing watering times on the different areas of our yard and making sure the sprinkler heads are functioning and directed properly. We needed a repair on a broken water line and he was able to repair it under difficult conditions. Whenever any of our friends or associates mention their sprinkler systems, I strongly suggest Ryans service and requesting Eric! Dont let this guy get away because customer service like his is so rare.

I used their services for years until now. if you use their services on your sprinkler system, get a written estimate otherwise you may get overcharged like I was. They charged me $950 for four hours of work. That s with $100 of parts. They told me three different prices, and naturally they charge me the highest estimate. that s what I get for not getting it in writing. lesson learned.

I scheduled an appointment to get my sprinklers turned on, checked etc. Appointment wasnt until a month after which is understandable it is probably their busy season. The day they were supposed to come, I had things I needed to do. Please tell me why they never showed up! I waited all day long at home, they never showed, never called, no email, nothing. So I still dont have my sprinklers on. I wont be doing business with them again. They wasted my precious time.

I had an issue with my yard irrigation this week (100+ degrees all week!) and Ryan Lawn & Tree as at my house in the 8am hour the next day to inspect and fix. Augustin and Nick did a great job and I really appreciate their hard work and professionalism. They even took the time to answer some unrelated questions I had, even though I m sure they had a very full, busy schedule ahead and with the day s heat starting to rise quickly. We used this company for a large project at our home including irrigation and landscaping. Many new plants and trees with shrubs were placed. They offered a guarantee and we had to use this guarantee for a few plants due to the extreme heat and not surviving the transplant. They were immediately responsive and did not hesitate to replace. Very professional and well done.. I have to say Josh is not only knowledgeable about his craft but one of the most professional and kindest I have worked with in quite a while.

Started with tree removal early this year. The crew was on time and knocked out 3 trees for me. After that we used them for our lawn fertilization, another tree removal, irrigation activation and winterization. Impressed with quality of work by each and every team member that has done work for me. Also good to have one company that handles many things.

Ryan Lawn & Tree cut down a large Siberian Elm in my backyard for me. They did a great job and it was a fascinating process to watch. The tree was growing near some power lines and up against a fence. They were able to drop all parts of the tree without any damage to anything in the area. It was impressive! They cleaned up everything very thoroughly, even raking up all the little pieces. And added to all of that, the two members of the crew that I talked with were super friendly and helpful. Great job!

Ryan Lawn is good about staying on schedule and letting me know they are going to be at my home. Kip is polite and helpful when I havent gotten all of the sticks picked up in the yard after a strong wind.

Jaren from Ryan Lawn applied the early spring applications for weed control and fertilizer to our lawn. He called the previous day, showed up as promised and was very professional as is the standard for Ryan Lawn Care.

Scheduled appointments resulted in 4 out of 5 No Shows. Not reliable in any way!!

They were supposed to come activate my sprinkler system, which should include adjusting heads and actually looking everything over. They did install it after all so I m sure there is a map of the location of everything. From the minute the tech touched the ground getting out of the truck to the time he shut the door he was at my home for 24 minutes and 58 seconds. He ran my sprinkler system for a total of 14 minutes and 24 seconds. All they actually did was flip the switch for the well pump and turn one valve to let the water up, he said I had 6 bad sprinkler heads and quoted me $433 to fix them. I declined because that outrageous, new heads only cost around $15 each. When I got home I ran the system myself, 2 of the bad heads he marked popped up and work just fine, 2 more only needed the strainers cleaned out, 1 needed lubricated, and the last one was bad however I already knew about that one for sure. He did actually miss one that was damaged but it s only the disk on the top of the sprayer that needs replaced. Hardly seems like the $85 they still want to charge is worth the work they did. You could have at least looked at stuff, you even missed another 2 heads that needed lubricated around the house and several that are a little to deep in the ground. Those would have been legitimate fixes you could charge people for.

The overall courtesy and professionalism is outstanding. From the moment I spoke with a coordinator to set up an initial appointment, I was blessed by the measure of sincerity in her voice. The Service Technician provided a detailed outline of the work performed, which gives me additional confidence that this team values their work and inspires me to maintain a better lawn. I immediately referred Ryan Lawn & Tree to my parents and would highly recommend anyone to utilize their services!

Ryan Lawn and Tree has provided sprinkler system support to our home for the last several years. We have so appreciated their professional, reliable care. Initialized my sprinkler system for the season, missed a leaking valve. Flooded my front yard, so much water killed the grass. Could not come back out for 2 weeks, then charged again for a repair that should have been completed the first visit. Do not know if it cost me more money this way, no explanation on invoice other than repair maintenance.

They are amazing. I would never use any other company. I only wish they would provide discounts to disabled veterans. Yep years ago I was going to have my trees trimmed. About a month before we found out I had cancer. Because of the upcoming expense I had to cancel. When I explained why, 8 team members of Ryans gave up their Saturday and trimmed my trees at no charge. I was so moved by that gesture of caring about me, my illness and that I am a disabled veteran. Once you start using Ryan Lawn and Tree you won t want to use anyone else.

This is the first year we have used Ryan Lawn and Tree service. They have done such an great job on our lawn that we had them trim our trees as well. The trees look great! All the limbs and leaves were cleaned up with nothing out of place. I am highly satisfied!

Josh was very friendly & professional. He took the effort to leaf blow the fertilizer that spilled onto our drive and patio back onto the grass. When I heard his blower shut off, I thought he was done, only to see him spraying for weed control. I know that a company wants to make a good first impression, but this was way over the top from the treatment we had received from TruGreen in the past. If this is the service that we can expect each visit, you have a long-term customer! I wished I had switched from TruGreen a lot sooner than I did.

I did my irrigation with Ryan Lawn & Tree. The irrigation guys was quick 4 days Installation super nice. Still waiting for them to come back and do my landscape for my yard. I will post up some pictures when they finish do my landscaping.

2021: I was concerned about our lawn and called Mike Day, who is our Turf Route Manager with Ryan Lawn & Tree. Within an hour, he stopped by, saw the armyworms, and promptly put us on the schedule to be sprayed. The next morning he was there and applied their insecticide. His communication skills have been greatly appreciated. I have been impressed with his expertise and how he prioritizes excellent customer service. He is a great asset to the company! 2022: Jaren Giesick has taken over Mike Days route this year. To begin with I was a little apprehensive but Jaren did not disappoint. His attention to detail and being thorough was greatly appreciated. He did an excellent job. Ryans is not the cheapest in town but they go that extra mile that makes the difference and will work with you!

We had a scheduled time that the person did not show up to. After I called they came out the next day when it was raining and sprayed our lawn. The lawn has since browned and I called for a follow up appointment but have not had anyone show up again on the scheduled day. A bit disappointed for the price paid to have my lawn seem worse off then before they came.

Cody Howard serviced our sprinkler system and I was very impressed. He completed a simple repair and then went above and beyond to take the time with me to go through all my zones and provide recommendations on how I can improve its performance. The whole experience from booking to billing was painless and well executed.

You will not be sorry you called Ryan Lawn & Tree. After one application of spring fertilizer and weed control, our grass took off and NO WEEDS WHATEVER! Later had them install a new sprinkler control box and adjust/replace sprinkler heads--on time, fast, and UNDER ESTIMATE!!!! Friendly, professional, and they RESPOND (other companies never even returned our calls) promptly!

Chance, and Austin came out today to fix what I thought was a leak. They couldve over charged me and worked on stuff that wasnt broke. I had no leak they replaced some line and a head that wasnt working. I cant thank them enough for saving me time and money. Ryan Lawn & Tree have won my business.

Ryan Lawn & Tree serviced our HOA systems for years with no complaint, but when we asked for our drip systems be replaced and new heads added they delayed responding despite repeated requests and then stopped communicating altogether.

Alex, the Ryan pro had just sprayed our neighbors trees for bagworms, so I asked for an estimate to spray ours. He provided a very reasonable estimate, and offered to spray before leaving, which he did. Our trees are 80 to 100 feet tall, a bit higher than the sprayer would reach, but a big decrease in festation. Thank you Alex.

They are the only ones I trust for my tree care. They are very professional and answer all your questions. I really like that they have certified arborists on their staff. I have used them many times and have never been disappointed. I used them this time for bagworm treatment but I use them yearly for fertilization of my trees.

I had Ryans Lawn & Tree come out to cut down a dying red bud in my back yard. The initial crew of four guys showed up as scheduled. I showed them the area and asked them to try to avoid stepping on the flowers if possible. They got right to work, were incredibly organized and efficient, even in the triple digit heat. Since the tree did hang over a bit into my neighbors yard, they were as concerned about clean up there as in my own yard. The crew to grind out the stump showed up and after a discussion, they recommended I not proceed with the stump removal. They pointed out possibility of potential damage to other existing landscape with the stump removal. They made several suggestions of how to utilze the ground level stump and landscape around it. Brandon even took a look at my other trees in the backyard for any needs or problems they might have. He cut a couple of limbs off to encourage healthy growth. I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge of all the variety of trees and their unique makeup. The crew referred to me by name, not maam. They were polite and each one made a point of speaking to me. Upon Ryans Lawn & Tree leaving the property, there wasnt any debris left in my yard, the neighbors yard or the street where they did the shredding and loading. Additionally, none of my flowers were damaged. Early in the spring/summer subcontractors with an area utility company came in and did a lot of damage to my yard, trees and invisible fence. They were rude and didnt repair or clean up after themselves. So having such a pleasant experience with Ryans Lawn & Tree was a huge relief. I highly recommend them.

Jake was so helpful and took his time to explain which I appreciated On 8-8-2022 Eric came to assist and help me with new Rain Bird. Very helpful. Thanks As if last week Corey came to my home and installed a new Rain King which he checked out completely. He then took the time to explain to me how it works in terms I could understand. He was so kind and patient. Agustin came on 082522 and spent the time to determine the issue with the watering system. He also determined what we needed to do as well as explained in detail the issue that I understood. Appreciated his time and his patience. Yesterday Chance installed a sensor to my Rain Bird. The young man was very helpful and explained in details and answered any questions I had.

Ive been a customer of Ryan Lawn & Tree for the past two years that Ive lived in my current house. I used them to overseed the lawn two autumns in a row. Theyve serviced my sprinkler system at the end and beginning of each watering season. Theyve provided winterizer, fertilizer, weed prevention applications, etc. Ive spent thousands (not an exaggeration) with them over two years. I followed their instructions on watering and caring for my lawn. I have crazy high water bills to prove it. Despite this, my lawn is currently in worse shape than before I started using them. There is virtually no fescue alive. There is plenty of crabgrass. Bermuda is also taking over. Arguably, it might have been in better condition had I not used their service at all. I had them come out a few months ago to figure out what was going on. Their response: Well, its been really hot this year. They said it would likely bounce back when the temperatures cooled off. They offered no other meaningful solutions or suggestions. I get that its been a hot summer. But there are beautiful lawns all over this city, despite the heat. They pointed out and named the weeds that were popping up and said there was really no way to prevent them. Then what was I paying for? They have accepted zero responsibilty for the condition of my lawn. I tried to negotiate a discount or special price on overseeding again this fall since there is very little actual grass growing and I need to start all over. They would not agree to this. I can understand that a lawn might not thrive in hot conditions, but to completely die out and be overrun with weeds is maddening and frustrating. I posted my experience to Facebook and tagged their Facebook account. Very quickly, they shut down their review section or the ability to post to thier page. My Facebook post has received multiple comments from others who have had bad experiences with Ryan Lawn & Tree. Please strongly consider whether or not its worth it to use these lawn experts. Eric Nguyen was prompt, friendly and extremely efficient. He repaired a connector and then replaced a sprinkler head. Reset my timer and talked me through the settings. Ryan Lawn also did a great job overseeding. Josh and Jake did that together.

On time, completed the job quickly, and took extra care not to tear up the yard while removing a dead tree and planting a new one.

Augustine was very knowledgeable, efficient and easy to work with. It is a great relief to have someone who knows the system and ca fix any problems.

The pros are they are very friendly. Ok now the cons. They installed sod and removed a couple of tree stumps in our back yard. They also installed a rachio control box and did sprinkler work in the back yard also. Everything looked nice at the time which is why i always wait to give a review. They hit my downspout with there equipment then they didnt bother to tell me about it. I replaced it myself, no big deal. Then after about 2 weeks i notice my grass is dying in the front yard. It seems whenever i would turn on the sprinklers in the sprinklers in the front the ones in the back would come on. They were working fine until they did the sod in the back yard. So they came out and looked at it and replaced the two valves in the front yard which cost me another 300 dollars. They adjusted the control valve box to where the lid does not even sit flush on top it just sits on the valves. Seriously? 300 dollars to fix two valves that you guys messed up in the first place and you could not even fix it right the first time? Again i decided to let it go. Now... this year we had problems with our sprinklers again to where the front yard and backyard sprinklers were turning on at the same time. They said the problem was wires crossed in the field. Wires that they messed with when the installed that junk rachio control box. That cost me another 145 dollars. Now this year our sod looks awful and when we called them three different times to check on our warranty the receptionist would say that Josh would contact us. Well....Josh still has not contacted us and it is the end of september. I really do not like writing these reviews because it is time I could have spent been doing something more productive. There were just too many negatives with Ryan lawn and tree to ignore. I know I am gonna get the typical response of....we are sorry to hear about your one star review blah blah blah and honestly save it. I do not want to hear it. 4 strikes youre out.

They preformed excellent work. They trimmed all the trees, cleaned up very nicely. Polite and considerate. My property looked beautiful when they left. I use Ryan s for all most all of my lawn care. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Cody with Ryan Lawn and Tree has been our service technician this year. He called to make sure someone was available since he was ahead of schedule. I appreciate that since we were able to get our errands done.

We have been using Ryan for a couple of years. We spent almost $15,000 for seeding and irrigation. Just like everyone else has reported in reviews, my grass looks absolutely terrible. One person will tell us to do one thing, and then someone else will tell us something different. Our irrigation system is still not working correctly. And we are always told it s been a hot summer. It s just sad that we spent this money and didn t receive what we paid for. I fully expect them to respond with their generic, this isn t our 5 star service We have decided to go with a local company.

The employee was very knowledgeable about system repair and was able to correct my problem in a timely manner. I will certainly use Ryan Lawn & Tree again when I have a problem.

He was very nice and cordial. Was very efficient.

Charged me $2,100 to aerate, vericut and seed my lawn to make it look nice but it pretty much looks the same. Perhaps a 20% improvement in some areas. Now I cannot even get anybody to speak to me but yet they re charging me $29 a month interest rate on my outstanding balance, which I am not interested in paying until we resolve the problem.

I called them for lawn care. I would find it helpful to know that they dont actually cut, edge or weed eat yards. They are chemical maintenance only.

We are new to the area and hired Ryan Lawn & Tree to do some irrigation repairs, re-seed our lawn, correct some drainage areas and refresh our flowerbeds. Fort he most part the work was done without issue; however, the landscaping of the flowerbeds and the drainage area repairs were not completed. The total of the work is several thousand dollars and I was left disappointed in the work and communication. I ve contacted our Ryan rep multiple times and believe there is a plan to complete the work, but as of this review it has not happened.

Removal of storm damaged limb in tree over driveway and will return at a later date for complete tree removal This service was completed on the day scheduled even though it was a rainy day, as they knew it was becoming a safety issue. After they cut the large limb down, they cleaned up the area and hauled off all debris. The two gentlemen were super nice, friendly, and completed the job in a very timely manner.

I emailed 3 days ago and they came out today and took care of what I needed. Also they came back out for another fungicide treatment and the technician noticed some limbs I cut down and he hauled them away without me asking. Top notch customer service. Absolutely recommend to anyone needing lawn care help.

Chris was very helpful in trying to solve a water leak in our yard. He worked long and hard only to find it was a city problem. He was very professional and he diagnosed the problem concisely.

I have a beautiful, gigantic Cottonwood in my backyard that had a very large, 18 diameter limb that hung over my back fence and into my neighbors tree. Ryans professional crew removed that limb, which required two guys climbing very high into my tree and the neighbors tree . requiring careful thought and extreme caution. In about 3 1/2 hours time, everything was done .. lawn raked . entire limb and foliage chewed up by their giant chipper. No damage on anything. I have used these guys before on removing an entire large Austrian Pine. Everyone on their crew has a mission . working like clockwork, they are there to do business. I m 100% happy can t beat that!!

Had been informed by City of Derby-water that I was using strange amounts of water at strange times. It was suggested that I have the irrigation system checked for leaks or problems. So your Company checked from the street to the house . All around the house, Run times. Seemed very interested to solve the problem. He adjusted the box, times, etc and we will see how that goes. Was very satisfied with his work.

First time using Ryan. We had our sprinkler system winterized. Most professional and courteous service technician (Eric Nguyen) from any lawn maintenance company that weve tried. Will be calling them again in the spring.

Had several trees removed and stumps ground. The tree removal was great, but the guy with the stump grinder came later and missed three of the tree stumps. We caught one before he left but didn t see the other two until it was too late. Would be nice if they did a trees removed count and made sure the same number of stumps were ground. Update: They rectified the situation. Very pleased with the results.

Eric has done our sprinkler system start up and closing for the past few years. He is extremely pleasant and professional. I made the mistake of using another service provider in the spring and was totally dissatisfied. I wont make that mistake again and thats why I called Ryans. I suggest you give Eric a raise as good people like him are very hard to find. He provides us with top notch service and we know when he is done with our system it is done right!!! We look forward to seeing Eric next spring.

Just before this season we switched to Ryan thinking maybe our grass would look BETTER with their service...I really care about our lawn. So far, our experience has been very disappointing. So far since we switched to Ryan, Preston did a spray on July 30 at the height of worm season and didn t even bother to tell us we should have included the worm spray, as a result of this lack on Ryans part, we lost half of the grass in our backyard, then Preston told us he had no time to do the worm spray and that we should go to Lowes and do it ourselves. Due to the worm damage we now need overseeding and I have contacted Ryan twice to say I needed to speak with them ASAP as we will be out of town for a week and I want to discuss how to handle this. No one is returning my calls. My lawn looks TERRIBLE since switching to Ryan and no one there even seems to care enough to return my calls. If I could give them a ZERO I would. Josh, Please give me Preston s number so I can contact him.

Technicians from Ryan are the only ones Ive trusted to work on my very old and very large crabapple tree. Ive never been disappointed.

Staff is always friendly and professional. They do a great job of keeping me informed of what they are doing and why as well as letting me know of any problems.

I am not happy in any way, shape or form with Ryans Lawn Service program. Just to make things clear; their Tree service is outstanding! Regarding my lawn care; This was supposed to be a full year of needed services including fungicides but they evidently read the lawn wrong and even after 2 applications I still had Brown Spot front and back. Their seeding must have included some Rye grass because late summer it burned up in the heat in several places and is still bare. I will have to re-seed myself in the Spring. There is nothing special about their fertilizers. They only give you an overnight notice before coming out. Today I asked them for a little time so I could remove all the leaves in the yard. The guy said they needed to wait on the frost to be gone anyway, so he would be late as it is. AT 9:15 they showed up and I had not a chance to remove them yet, so this application was probably wasted. This is normal with them, notifying you by email late at night that they will be by in the early morning. People need more time to prepare their yard for the application. I will NOT be back. Again their Tree service is outstanding!

Ryan did tree trimming for me. They worked quickly and did an excellent job. Everything was accomplished in a timely way. They cleaned my yard up and even picked up sticks in my neighbors yard. Thank you. I would highly recommend this company.
