I recently had Daniel and his crew complete a significant rework/upgrade to my existing landscaping. The rework included new edging with stone accent, 90+ new plants, sprinkler drip line updates, new mulch and general cleanup. The work required three days to complete with a three man crew. I am very pleased with the completed work and it was accomplished on budget. I found Daniel to be honest, trustworthy and hard working. I had a very good experience with him and I recommend you consider his company for your landscape needs.
I contacted Daniel’s Landscaping after trying several other companies. Getting quotes was painful and the quotes were very high. Working with Daniel was just the opposite. Quotes were done quickly and were very thorough. Phone calls were returned promptly; mostly he just answered immediately. He made several thoughtful suggestions. I was really pleased that some actually saved me money. I was pleasantly surprised when his quote came in less than his competitors even though he was doing more work with better quality products. Once the sprinkler system was in they went from bare dirt and weeds to a finished job in four days. These guys work. After we had the job completed we had a couple of minor issues. Daniel took care the problems in hours not days. This is a company I am happy recommending to my friends without reservation.
I reached out initially for a free quote and the first meeting with Daniel went so smooth and he explained everything and answered ALL my questions. He quickly got back to me with quotes on the things I was having done. Once I decided to move forward, his team was there and ready to go as planned. I had some concrete work done, stone edging done, sod and trees planted. His entire team was amazing and did a great job. Absolutely amazing work from start to finish. We had our original landscape put in when our home was built last year (not by Daniels) and to say the original landscape was less than par is an understatement at best. Our entire design had to be redone all the way around our home. The customer service we received with Daniel's exceeded all expectations. The crew is amazing. They went above and beyond. If you want quality landscape design and outstanding customer service this is your company. We get multiple compliments on the design and choice of plants. They also do our mowing and fertilization. The house that we were building in NE Wichita was completed back in the winter of 2019/2020. We were waiting until the spring of 2020 to do some dirt work, landscaping, sprinklers, building a stone patio and a waterfall for the front garden area. At first we thought that we would have to find different contractors to do the different jobs, but when we did a search on landscaping in the Wichita area, we noticed one contractor that also advertised hardscaping – Daniel’s Lawn & Landscaping Services. We called Daniel and explained to him what we were wanting. After a couple of days, he came out and provided several ideas that we had not even thought of. Once we had a good plan, he provided an estimate for the entire job (each item listed separately). Dirt Work First of all, they had to bring in about 200 tons of dirt to level and build up areas especially in our big back yard area and in preparation for sodding later on. Daniel was very practical at getting a good value for the dirt. At the same time, they started digging out an area for our back patio. The type of patio that we wanted needed a good foundation so they dug down to provide a solid footing for the patio. Stone Patio Once the dirt work was done and the foundation of the patio set, they started building the patio. One of Daniel’s partners, Juan Carlos, is not only an excellent stone worker, but he is a stone artist. Rather than doing what we had planned originally, he would make suggestions along the way that would give it that extra artistic touch. For example, he gave us an option to have a “stone” firepit – not one built “with” stones, but one “huge” stone with a large hole drilled out of it for the fire pit area. Other improvements along the way made nice finishing touches. Waterfall For the front flower garden we wanted a waterfall - not the store bought type systems – but something natural and unique. Again, Carlos steps in; and by this time, we just trusted him to build a very ornate stone waterfall. He got his creative juices going and came up with a great design that turned out amazing. Again, another enhancement was suggested – an all-stone bench next to the waterfall. This bench is one large stone with legs cut out of it – incredibly unique. Sprinklers and Landscaping Next came the design and installation of the sprinkler system and the flower beds. We also did 7 trees which we picked out with Daniel at a local nursery. He also helped us with the choice of plants and flowers. He even brought in 4 boulders to enhance the front landscape some. Additionally, his crew installed granite/stone boulders with lighted glass in the middle for illuminating the landscape. They also installed some tree lights into some boulders as well to shine on the trees at night. All these lights make the night view of the landscaping look great! Cost These projects were not cheap. Along, the way we would visit with Daniel and Carlos and they would give us some ideas of enhancements. As we look back, we also believe that we could have probably found contractors who could have done some of the work cheaper. That is what we were planning to do in the beginning. But we came to realize that saving money in this fashion has its costs as well. It would have been a NIGHTMARE to try and coordinate several different contractors with their schedules, our schedules, the weather, etc. With Daniel, we only had one place to call to coordinate it all. We saved so many headaches by just using Daniel as our one contractor. That said, don’t think that they are expensive either – they charge a fair price. Summary Honestly, we have had quite a few people stop and ask us who did our landscaping. We have no reservations in recommending Daniel’s Lawn & Landscaping Services. In fact, we already have them signed up on their fertilization program and are planning on having him do a few more things this spring as well. I had a sprinkler system and fescue sod installed. The final work is beautiful. Follow-up customer service (fine tuning the sprinkler system) has been excellent. I would strongly recommend.
We had a great experience with Daniels. Very responsive and helpful. We received a timely estimate and all our questions and suggestions were addressed quickly. We were very satisfied with the end result!
I had Daniels do some extensive landscaping work last year, including well, sprinklers, sod, flower borders and stones, and burying annoying downspouts. I have had problems with the well, bringing up sand and plugging up the sprinkler heads (not their fault!). A sand filter they subsequently installed has helped. I now have a nice looking lawn, instead of some weird mix of random grasses and weeds. And problematic areas are now getting adequate water and staying robust. The flower beds and borders look very nice with the borders and river rock. (And I no longer have to drag a hose around to water anything!) I am looking at some additional work around the house this year, not as extensive as last year, but smaller things I left last year so I had a chance to look at what I had, and what else I might do. I contacted Daniel again, and am looking forward to his estimate(s) on this additional work.

I recently moved to a new house and the previous house owners did not keep up with the yard or landscape beds at all. I called Daniels Lawn out to give me an estimate. Daniel and his crew installed new sod in my yard and put in new landscaping. They did an outstanding job! I will be using Daniels landscaping again for future projects!
We have been using Daniel s Lawn and Landscaping Services for the past three years. It started with us looking for a landscaper who could replace and create additional brick paver walkways and Daniel s was one of the few that provided that as a service. Carlos, the masonry artist, did an incredible job of making brick stairs, tree wrap arounds (including a raised seating area), walkways and a brick paver landing under our raised deck. Daniel s crew refreshed mulch throughout the yard, laid sod on the east side of our house and even repaired our fence in the back yard. We were so impressed we had them back the next year where Carlos laid more pavers in an area that was sloped and losing soil, no small feat as it s the size of a basketball court. We also wanted to replace scrubs and plants in our front yard but didn t know what would work best. Daniel made some suggestions, and he planted some Juniper Taylors to book end our front yard and a Korean dwarf lilac tree that properly fitted our front entry way. Our lawn sprinklers were over 30 years old and not spraying well, his crew replaced all the sprinkler heads and repositioned them to correctly spray our yard. What a difference this all made to our property. And when his crew re-mulched the yard, they even cut back the dead growth in our scrubs for the new year. This year we are having Daniel s crew back including Carlos to replace all our plants along the west side of the house, re-mulch the complete yard and for Carlos to continue expanding our pavers. It s nice to have one contractor who can provide so many services and a crew that takes care of what they do when they are on site. It s also nice to call in spring and ask to meet with Daniel to walk the yard and talk about what is needed, it adds a true personal touch to their service. I would highly recommend Daniels lawn & Landscaping service!
Daniel s Landscaping is the best. They are prompt, courteous and do a great job. Have been customers for 7+ years. Give star service. Last year we did quite a bit of landscaping and they did an outstanding job all while making it possible for someone who cannot keep a fake plant alive to have a beautiful lawn.

Hired to do snow removal and wanted to charge for work not authorized to do
I contacted Daniel s lawn and Landscaping for a possible solution on soil retaining water after having heavy rains for prolonged periods of time. Grass wouldn t grow no matter what I tried. One of their workers was very courteous and professional. They recommended a low maintenance native rain garden in which they designed and had installed. All the surrounding area needed grass seeding and they made sure to recommend solutions for weed prevention. I couldn t be more happy with the results and people in the neighborhood now ask about the rain garden and take pictures. I m also able to take cutting and bring my mother center pieces for her tables from this garden. I absolutely recommend this company.

Ive contracted with Daniel twice now, and have been very pleased with the results from overseeding my lawn. There were a couple of spots from the more recent job where the grass was slow to come up. Daniel came by to look it over, and made several adjustments to my irrigation that resolved the problem. I just appreciate that Daniel seems to be just as interested in getting good results as I am. If youre looking for a quality job, you might want to give these folks a call.

We had Daniels sod our front and back yard and then install a wrought iron fence. They did amazing work, the yard and fence look really great, and communication was very easy. I highly recommend and will be working with them again for any further landscaping projects.

After waiting weeks to have someone come out and kill my lawn in preparation for sod, they took it upon themselves to kill off part of my neighbors lawn. After waiting another 6 weeks they finally came out to do a drain and lay my sod. I guess i didnt spend enough to get 5 star service as, having laid sod for a few hundred back in the 80s I have never seen such a lack of concern for appearance. If they would have at least put the good grass on my neighbors side Id have given them 2 stars. I will probably end up having to buy 10 rolls of sod out of my own pocket to try and make the trans between my yard and neighnors yard less noticeable and replace dead grass. I would not recommend this company.
We had bad drainage problems in our back yard and interviewed three different teams. Daniels Lawn and Landscaping came in and turned our back yard into a place we now love. His crew came in with levels, verified what was needed and then executed the job. The team was professional from the office help, to our installers, we have been impressed at every step.
Great company. Definitely recommend. Daniel and his crew are professional and provide quality work. I did have to wait 6 or 7 weeks for the project to start but it was well worth it. I hired them to fix a previous bad landscape job (from another individual), install a new retaining wall around house and trees, remove and replace fencing and repair and start up the sprinkler system. Daniel listened to what I wanted and provided great ideas to compliment what I had envisioned. I even changed my mind mid project and he helped me to come up with a budget friendly alternative that worked great. They completed the project ahead of schedule and I was impressed with their work. I have been recommending them to my friends/family and I have had neighbors come up to ask who did the work and say our curb appeal is now off the charts. I will continue using them for yearly start up/winterization of my sprinkler system and any future projects.

I had a relatively small job. (Needed grading around the house (with sod) and some flower beds that had horrible weeds growing that I had trouble getting under control.) Daniels bid was reasonable. They dug up the old dirt, brought in new dirt, laid plastic and rocks, and planted some rose bushes and shrubs and a couple of small trees. The bid was very reasonable, and I couldnt be happier with the work he and his crew did. It was done in one day and it looks great!

This company must have too much work to be overly concerned with potential clients time. We tried to get him to come out for a quote on 3 different occasions and he no-called/no-showed twice and was late to our final appointment attempt. After he was late on the last appointment, we decided we didnt want to work with someone who didnt value our time as much as we valued his time. He may do great work for a great price, but we just have too much going on to be concerned if hes going to show up or not.

Initially, I was pleased to hire Daniels Lawn and Landscaping Service to treat my lawn for weeds and over seed. However, it quickly became clear that the company did not have time nor the consideration to communicate. The lawn crew did not show up the first day they said they would be there and finally got the lawn seeded two weeks after--but simply dropped on top of the soil, not verticut as agreed. The owner said that he broke his machine, so he just aerated, dropped seed, and left. He was not planning to contact me to let me know anything and he did not complete the first part of the job--spraying for weeds. I will say, the owner never dodged my calls, but I always had to contact him. When I contacted him after the seed had been dropped, he inferred that my job was too much of a hassle, the job was costing him, he didnt have time, and he wouldnt be back to finish. Please be aware (especially the ladies) that If you have a small job that the owner doesnt think is worth his time or the money, he may not follow through as agreed.
