We had an excellent experience with Apple Landscape Design, and my wife and I cannot recommend them enough. The owner Luis, apart from being a very nice individual, was great to work with. The scope of our project was a unilock patio consisting of a cooking/dining area, a conversation area and a pergola. After my initial, in person, consultation with Luis, we received three CAD renderings and proposals within a few days. It is important to note that renderings were based on the exact dimensions of my back yard as Luis carefully took measurements and photographs at the time of our consultation. Those three proposals were high end, medium and low. The CAD renderings were invaluable for my wife and I to visualize what the end result would be. As it turns out, some of the features that we wanted didn t work as well as we thought. Luckily, the renderings allowed us to pick some elements from each and develop our final plan. Luis worked with us to incorporate those changes into two more renderings until we received the prefect plan for our needs. I should note that I gave Luis our proposed changes over the phone and when I woke up the next morning, the CAD renderings were in my inbox for review. As a bonus, the final design was below our budget and included everything that we originally wanted along with some design elements that we didn t think of. Once we made our decision on the final plan, the process was straight forward. Within a few weeks I received a phone call from Luis that work was ready to start. Apple Landscape would arrive each morning by 8:00 to begin work. At the end of each day, the work area was thoroughly cleaned of debris and all machinery and tools were safely secured. It worth noting that the crew was professional and courteous throughout the project. Luis came to the site at least every day, sometimes for the full day, and always answered any questions that we had. Apart from a rainout or two, the work progressed faster than I expected. After the patio was installed, I noticed that one of the larger unilock pavers had, what appeared to be a manufacturing defect in that it was somewhat discolored. Luis asked me to send a picture of the paver and the next day it was removed and replaced. The finished patio exceeded our expectations. We couldnt have asked for a better result. As for the pergola, my wife and I couldnt be happier and more impressed with the quality of the structure and the craftsmanship of its construction. Apple Landscape Design will be my first, and most likely the only, phone call for any landscape/hardscape jobs in the future. Thats how pleased we are with result. I would, without hesitation, recommend Apple Landscape Design, to my family and closest friends.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! We used Apple Landscaping Design to replace a plain concrete stoop and walkway. From the start to finish of this project, Luis has been extremely responsive with onging excellent communication! We received an appointment and detailed estimate quickly. Although we had somewhat of an idea for a design, the many colors/styles of the pavers were overwhelming. Luis was extremely knowledgeable and patient in helping us design our new front entrance/walkway and listened to what we wanted. Both exceeded our expections and turned out so beautifully. If I could rate Apple Landscape Design beyond 5 stars I would. I inquired about a hardscape project for my backyard during winter. Luis promptly responded to my request. He came by my house to take all the measurements and provided high fidelity designs for the project soon after. He works with you. I never felt pressured and he adjusted accordingly based on my budget and requests. He is a great listener. Designs were fairly accurate based on the vision I had communicated to Luis. Not only is he professional, but Luis and his team go above and beyond to work with the city council to get permit. It took a bit longer to get all the city approvals but Luis stayed persistent and got the approvals before the start date. When the team arrived, they respected the space like their very own. The project required demoing the old structure. They did it very professionally without damaging the surroundings. They cleaned up after and nothing was left for me once the project ended. Apple Landscape team is highly professional! On the actual project, I cannot recommend this team enough for your outdoor project. It is the best in town with the best craftsmanship available. There is also a lot of passion amongst this team. I felt so energized when I would speak to Luis. He gave me great ideas to follow-up on. Luis was great to work with and very quick to respond. He is calm, reassuring and polite. They were recommended to me by the Unilock Paver company. I used Apple Landscaping to reset the sunken uneven pavers in my extensive front entry. They also replaced all the underground drain tile from the downspouts with new PVC. They also replaced the low voltage path lighting and buried the wires in PVC tubing to prevent cutting them by accident (as we do every year!). His crew worked quickly and they were on time when weather permitted. They even came in an emergency situation after a huge violent rain storm washed out the underlayment in some areas that then sunk before the locking sand was put down. I would use them again and recommend them highly for your outdoor projects.

Apple landscaping did a great job installing our new paver patio. It looks beautiful! Luis was very professional and timely in his response from initial quote to job completion. The crew did an exceptional job cleaning up after the work. Would highly recommend.

The tl;dr version of this is do yourself a favor and hire these guys. Our yard was mostly unusable due to an old pond and rock hill that was overtaken by the earth. Our goal was to level the yard and put in a new patio. Luis came out and within a few minutes knew exactly what we were looking to do and recommended we use the old brick patio to extend a brick border to our garage door. It was a great idea. Throughout the entire process Luis and his team are flexible with your changing wants/needs and when they run into a potential issue he offers suggestions to remedy. While grading our yard to make it more useful they did a number of jobs to get to that point, including, putting the downspouts into PVC(buried) and ran it all the way back to a catch basin so we have proper water runoff, reused a number of the rocks/boulders from the old hill/wall as a border for the flower bed, cut down 7 small trees/shrubs, planted 4 trees, trimmed the pine trees to raise the canopy, did an entire spring cleaning with mulch, built an island for the BBQ, built a retaining wall around the pine to support the patio, put down new sod and will finish with a two post pergola. All in 4 days! They cleanup every night and are very respectful of your neighbors. Before and after(minus pergola and countertop)photos included.

I wanted to support a local small business with my home project so I called Apple Landscaping. Luis came to look at my home and measure right away when I reached out on April 3rd which was great since I am planning this project ahead of time to have it done for an event at my home in June but I didnt get a quote in the 2 days he said I would recieve it in. Which I understand they could be busy but after sending him texts for days I finally hear back from him on April 14th and Luis told me he sent my info to other companies that could help me with my project so I am not sure if that means they outsource their work or not but when I asked for the companies names so that I can reach out directly he never responded again. It seems my project was not instagram post worthy to take on for them since they post multiple times a day and thats where I came across their business and appeared to have great craftsmanship but now I will never know. Thanks for unnecessarily delaying my project by 2 weeks. A simple text back as soon as they knew they didnt want to quote my job would have been appreciated over being left hanging for so long. I did not recieve service from Apple Landscaping besides the initial visit for measurements but I am more than disappointed with the customer service I recieved.

We hired Luis and his team to come out and do our backyard patio. It was a 39 x 36 patio and they did an excellent job. From the time we signed the contract to completion was about one month. Luis and his crew have built two patios for us now. Each time they have done a fantastic job. His crews are extremely hard working, pay attention to detail and spend the necessary time to do the job right. We gave Luis pictures of a specific paver border we wanted built and he was able to get it done exactly right.

Luis and his team just completed our patio and landscaping for the front and sides of the house. They were excellent throughout the process. We are really happy with the quality of their work. They arrived on time, and the entire crew was very professional. They even worked non-stop in the 110 degree weather which we were so impressed by. They all were extremely good, and made sure everything looked great. Better yet, they work really fast - and finished our project in 7 days (would have probably been even faster if not for the weather and a few hiccups.) We were most impressed by Luiss integrity. He made it a point to ensure we had the best quality product installed. Initially, the tiles we wanted arrived with subtle stains on them (that we were told were moisture and would likely go away with time). Luis and his team caught it right away, and refused to use them. We were really impressed with his integrity to stop and not just continue on with the project despite the stains on the tiles. He contacted the company and tried to get other tiles (even called distributors in Wisconsin!). He brought over other samples for us to consider the same day. We didnt really like the other options but agreed to a back up plan. However, he went to a different supplier early the following morning and was able to get all the tiles we had originally wanted. We were thrilled, and so thankful for all the extra legwork he did (in 100 degrees!!). Luis was also really awesome and accommodating and helped get new cabinets to fit exactly what we wanted, when there was a small miscommunication on our part. He also suggested adding lights, including lights in the tiles on the perimeter of the patio that look awesome. Honestly, you can tell how hard Luis and his team work. He came over to show us samples on the weekends and would check in with us multiple times a day during the project. He tried to get us everything we wanted and it looked great at the end. We were extremely happy with the project overall and kudos to the entire team at Apple Landscape for their amazing work.

I worked with Luis for almost 3 months on my patio project as apparently that is how long Naperville city takes to approve a permit due to back logs. In between there were numerous scope and design changes and the project increasingly became intricate and complex as ideas were discussed, including addition of an outdoor kitchen and a gazebo. Even though I had seen the 3D design, there were still unknowns about the finished look, but Luis and his team delivered 100%. The patio looks amazing and true to the design. The craftsmanship of the team is above normal, and the team was truly professional with excellent communication and willingness to go above and beyond for full customer satisfaction. They worked nonstop for 2 weeks, were punctual and left the project site in a great condition. The implementation of the unique hex tiles was executed perfectly and is the focal point of the project while the large patio slabs were installed flawlessly, yielding a modern design which I hope to enjoy for years . Work did begin the following week and the patio looks great BUT the hay to reseed the grass was never finished, the buried downspouts are all retaining water and sod was never replaced by one downspout.. I reached out to have this completed and was told it would get completed and wasn t finished due to running out of hay and the supplier being closed. 5 days later nothing has been done. For $16500 you would think I could get some hay and functioning downspouts. *update: we were told the above issues would be fixed by this weekend. No other word and no fix since. We had to contract another company to finish the work that we paid them to do. I DO NOT recommend.

Apple Landscape Design was amazing from start to finish! Luis came out and really listened to what we wanted, created a plan and a rendering for us, gave us a very reasonable price, and a date that they could begin. They started exactly when they said they would, and they worked so hard! We could not believe that they finished in one week. Everything looks amazing! We are so happy with our patio.

Luis was responsive with his quote and collecting the deposit, however, scheduling was a challenge. After coming out to perform the work, we needed a few additional spots touched up. At that point, Luis became totally unresponsive to both calls and texts. Totally unprofessional in their communication and completion of the job. A month later, some of the work performed is already starting to fall apart. Will not be using them again!

We would highly recommend Apple Landscape Design. We appreciated Louis s excellent and prompt communication. He was quick to provide a detailed written estimate and answer any of our questions. He was able to schedule our job quickly kept us updated throughout the process. We hired them to clear ground cover from an old tree ring and regrade and seed it. They also performed patio maintenance and resanded an existing paver patio. The job included releveling the borders and we were impressed by the careful detailed work the crew performed. They made our patio look new again. Louis and his crew were great to work with and the price was reasonable.

We used them for our back patio and yard work. They were reasonable priced and quick to start. We did have some disagreements over the work but were able to work it out. Sadly one of the cap stones in our patio wall have come loose. EDIT: They were able to come by and reglue the patio wall.

Not really sure where to start. I contacted Luis after he had finished a job for my neighbor. His quote was a bit more expensive than others however NO OTHER landscaper was willing to offer the CONTRACTUAL extended warranty on the job like Luis. He ensured me that the project would last several years to come or he will come back and fix it himself. It made me feel very comfortable knowing i was dealing with a professional. Luis and his crew were on time every morning and responsive to all of my questions and concerns. He informed me on a few tips and tricks on how to maintain the patio and landscape that he had just installed and showed me the details him and his crew took time to add. Had a meeting set up for a hardscaping job with Luis. Made an appointment for the evening. No showed, all follow up calls were rejected. A simple we re not interested in the job would have been more professional than just ghosting a potential customer.

Email them for a quote, they replied they needed my address. I provided it to them and never heard back, it s been around 2 months. Not very professional.

They were very helpful with any questions I had and answering them. Started and finished the project in a timely manner. Lastly, thank you so much for the patio and reorganization of my flower beds!

Luis, Eduardo and Martin did a great job! Three of the hardest working guys I ve met. They did a flagstone walkway, rail tie retaining wall, and moved a whole lot of dirt and placed new sod. Very pleased with the results. Finished the job in the time frame they committed to.

Phenomenal work! I was looking for a company that could bring what I was picturing in my head to real life and they did it! It started with my driveway than a path in the side of my house and now my patio is being done!! I have to say I m very pleased with the quality of work they are able to deliver! They are very professional and passionate about how they work! I would 100% recommend!

I advise anyone to please get other quotes before going with this team. I must admit they do good work, but their pricing is almost double the amount it should be. Unprofessional!

I wanted to wait a few weeks after our patio project had been completed to write this review. We hired Luis and his team to do a renovation of our patio after receiving a number of quotes from other companies. Not only was Luis prompt and professional - but his design and vision was perfect for what we wanted. They were early every morning and constantly checked in with us - asking if we had questions or to provide us with updates. They cleaned up after themselves each day and finished the work in less time than expected. Patio renovations are a big deal and costly - but we are so glad we came across Luis and his team. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

They did a great job. Luis made adjustments to his schedule to fit me in last minute, which I really appreciated. They did a nice job fixing the front and perimeter of my house. They even added grass seed to some bare areas on my property. I highly recommend these guys. They were on time, professional, efficient and had the right equipment/materials to do the job correctly without cutting corners. I will be using them next spring for sure. 5 stars across the board.

Made plans to have my backyard, side walk and front entryway redone to start off our new Reno for 2020. These guys are awesome! Got in and designed an awesome layout and was able to let me really express my ideas and captured it very well, the season is still cold right now so I didn t expect any work to be done yet but with the random warm & sunny days we have gotten, they came in and knocked out majority of the work already. PLUS they didn t just leave a half finished job, they made sure to complete what they started and it looks beautiful. Will be making future plans to have my driveway done as well but for now, I get to enjoy the new curb appeal we got !!
