I wish I could give them negative stars! I spent $10k new grass and thought it would be good to have them service it frequently. A few months later and they killed my grass and can t seem to take care of weeds in areas they promised would be taken care of. I ve reached out multiple times and they keep telling me a supervisor is going to come and follow up but they never do. This company is the worst!

I tried several lawn companies but finally came back to TruGreen. While this cannot be customised as much as you can with an independant, their pre-programed system and unlimited return visits in case of a problem make this the best program. If by chance something does go wrong (I in advertantly turned off my sprinklers and they told me about it immediately), you can discuss it with a supervisor and get it corrected asap. This is personalized service at its best. Set it and forget it.

After working with another company for over 18 years, I decided to try True Green. Since I had a personal relationship with my prior company, its important to me to get to know my technicians, the manager etc. Seems some of the services, the technicians do not come introduce themselves, they do the service, and leave. Not this time. I met Ian and was delighted to hear how much he knew about trees, disease and how long he has been with TG. I suggested he become the manager and help the other technicians learn his skiills in treating customers with care. I also know the manager of our local branch instead of being routed to the corporate websitge and phone number. So far, I like the services, but feel your technicians are asked to do so many customers in one day, that their time is cut short to be personalble. Ian took the time to know me and my property. Good Job Ian!! I also want to recognize Shy as an exceptional technician!

Edit: They just came around and sprayed my lawn again! I wrote the first review a year ago. Why are they continuing to trespass on my property. Ive never been a customer! Do not trust this company I am beyond livid! I spoke with the manager and he said they had the wrong address on file... .how does that make sense so youre saying multiple employees dont double check the address before spraying someones property with pesticides? Why does this keep happening? What a sleezy company! Beware! Im furious with Trugreen! We bought our home in August and have had this company stop by to do services on our yard that we did not want. Even though the previous owners account has been cancelled. Yesterday, they sprayed our entire yard with pesticides WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION. We have a young child & do not want TOXIC CHEMICALS in our yard. They TRESPASSED on our property & I didnt see them until after they were finished. I tried to call them but cant get through to anyone in Colorado to talk to, just a woman in a call center who verified that yes indeed the account was cancelled & didnt know why anyone stopped by our house. Told me to keep my child out of the yard for two hours. (Give me a break those TOXIC CHEMICALS last much longer than that) What a shady company. After reading others reviews I can tell this is a trend with this company. Please do not support them!

TruGreen has some of the best Technicians that are very dedicated to performing quality work at my property. Their attention to detail is above and beyond other companies that offer the same type of lawn and mosquito services.

We have used TruGreen for many years and have not had a problem with their service on our lawn and trees.

WORST service EVER! My tree got infected while under their service. I tried to schedule an appointment to have it looked at 5 times. They do not allow you to communicate with your service provider. Their app that is supposed to allow you to track your service provider does not work. You get stuck in call center He11.

I love TruGreens technicians! They are always willing to make adjustments and give great lawn care advice. Mike R. & Carlos M. are fabulous! My front lawn looks amazing, my backyard has been struggling a bit over the summer but these 2 have been working hard and going above and beyond to help me get the yard I want.

Had a scheduled service for Monday between 1 and 6 at 5pm get a update that they could not perform the service for the following reason and its left blank with no reason. Have rescheduled for Wednesday and we will see if they show up. When services are pre paid companies need to show up and fulfill the contract. Update tech. did show up for rescheduled service first thing on Wednesday and treated lawn with some revive and fungus control hopefully it will help the lawn look better. Tech. also seemed very knowledgeable. Thank you Trugreen.

We don t contract with trugreen but they sprayed our lawn with pesticides while we weren t home. Help phone number was disconnected. When we reached a human they had no information for us. Poisonous to pets and people the signs they left on the lawn said.

Matthew was an absolute delight in speaking with as well as in helping me finish out my backyard with a respray when he wasnt the one who was supposed to do it, but he went above and beyond And did it himself anyway.

I received an email today stating that trugreen canceled the iron injection on my tree I paid for in February. I did not cancel this service I just did not renew their tree and shrub service. This is 2 different services with two different prices. I have had so much trouble with company I don t know who they stay in business! I want this service on my tree and trugreen should pay for it as they canceled the service I didn t! Poor way to run a business!

Sylvia is my tree tech, couple of weeks ago I had a few questions about my lawn. I had asked when our weed control and lawn were going to get serviced. Sylvia went out of her way and assured me she could do the revive and weed control that same day. Excellent customer service will be staying with trugreen. Keep in mind this is the end of day she must of been tired. Really hope her manager sees this and gives her recognition.

Great service!! I have been fighting a losing battle of weeds in my back yard for 8 years now. My very small front yard has been looking a little weak the last couple years no matter what I do so it was time to call in the professionals!! I received a text letting me know a day before they were coming. The morning of they sent me live tracking so I knew when they would get here. When Nathan, and his trainee, arrived they answered all my questions about what their service entailed. I requested them to just kill everything in the back yard because I would be redoing the landscaping and wanted it all dead. They did as requested and told me how long to wait to let my dog out or even go back there myself. They also said that it will take 3 weeks for it to be totally dead and to let them know if it wasn t. They were both very professional and friendly! Definitely excited to see the results!

While he was here, he treated some brown spots and sprayed focused weed killer. We look forward to seeing progress and using what he told us to improve our lawn.

They came out 2 days ago to put revive on my lawn as part of the service I prepaid for. What a Scam! They stated they put 15lbs on my lawn. The guy didnt put anything but dust from a hand grinder. My wife and I watched this happen and was shocked.. I have called customer service many times with no return phone call. Be aware this company is a Scam and lies about what they truly do.

If I could give zero stars I would. I am not a customer and they came to my house today and put down weed killer without my permission. I havent put toxic chemicals on my lawn in 30 years and I am furious. When you call the local number you get someone outside the US which is further frustration. They are an awful company. Edited to add: I did speak to Luis today. He called later the next day after getting my information from the customer service 800#. He was very genuine and apologetic. That helped. Unfortunately he cant undo what was done.

My yard has a ton of weeds I have reached out to you guys Enormous times and no response slowly watched my grass have weeds that are out of control and I slowly watch you guys over for fertilize my lawn. Now fighting to get my lawn back I paid 5000 to have my yard done. I was told to use revive I spay front yard no change. I should have y all pay my water bill. Some guy came look at my yard said front looks nice I kept quiet. He look back said it come back lies lies.

Started service on rental duplex last July. All was good, but I cancelled service when they wanted to treat the lawn in November. I don t believe in lawn treatments, except pre-emergent, during off season. They started service again in March without my request. I was ok though, because it included pre-emergent. They did not treat one side of the duplex. I called and rescheduled to have them treat just the missed side, and requested the service tech call me when he was on his way. Trugreen rescheduled the appt twice without notifying me. After 2 ½ weeks they came to re-treat, but the tech didn t call me and, again, he treated only the one side that had been treated, not the side that had been missed. This is the 2nd lawn service company I ve tried, and it s just too expensive to put up with shoddy service. If you want it done right, do it yourself. Geez.

I tell you, I made the mistake of talking to them last fall about lawn care, inquiring about service and pricing. I told them to call me in the Spring. They called me in February and I told them I did not want the service after all I am a renter and did not know if I was going to renew my contract but Thank you. The next thing I knew some guy was at my door talking about giving my lawn a treatment? I said who okayed that the landlord? He said I did. I said I did not and I promptly sent him away called the company. I have told them to stop calling me. I do not want their service. They call me and badger me nonstop.

MICHAEL Let me know when he was here, and also left a note to let me know he made sure my gate was locked so my dogs were safely locked in my backyard when he was done, this was very important to me.

We have had true green for a year and our grass hasn t looked so green EVER. The service is wonderful. The mosquito treatment works. We ve always had mosquitos up until true green came.

We were very happy with our technician, Shy, and our first application.

They knocked and range the doorbell, at peak dinner time. We didnt answer because we werent interested and we also have a large no soliciting sign on the door. They knocked again and rang the doorbell another time. This set off our dog off barking. We have a sign for a reason. We dont want to be bothered and dont want our baby to be woken up. Several minutes later we thought they were gone...nope....they came back and did it again. Three freaking times. My husband finally answered the door and told the salesman we werent interested and to look at the sign. The salesman lied and said we had made an online inquiry and continued to push as my husband repeated several times that we did not call and werent interested. My husband finally closed the door on the guy, who wasnt leaving. After the door was closed the salesman said through the door, ill leave a flyer on the door in case youre interested. This is not sales, this is harassment. ANY sales job will teach you to not spend your time on a No and instead focus on someone who is interested. We clearly werent. Get the hint, we dont want it. Also read the dang sign. I dont want your service and never will especially after being so unprofessional, pushy and annoying. Not surprising these guys had a class action lawsuit a couple years ago for contacting people unsolicited.

The tech Shy, was very corporative and understanding of my yard concerns. He said hed get his supervisor to call me with better information that would be useful for me.

I appreciated to the time each representative took to listen to my questions and concerns. I also appreciated their knowledge of their products and services.

I was very disappointed with my brief interactions with the TruGreen staff. The sales team was very pushy and talked a mile a minute not allowing me to get a word in. It felt very insincere and a lack of care, but I figured they are a reputable company so Ill give them a shot. Then the first treatment came around and a young guy came to my door, when I asked about addressing specific issues with my grass he said he was new and he couldnt help answer any questions, Im just here to put fertilizer down and that I would have to call TruGreen. So I did make a call and I talked with Colin and he was very dismissive and condescending when talking with me. I got the feeling that I was just a bother to him. I then called the customer support line to cancel my account and the person I spoke with was rude and unprofessional, it was the icing on the cake. The customer service and professionalism needs some help at this company. Cancelled my account because of these interactions.

For the second time, they claim to have come to my home to do a service but they were never here. They charged for a service they didn t do! I work from home and can see/hear when people are here. They don t show in the ring doorbell either in case I somehow missed them. They did rectify it last time and hoping they ll rectify this too. But not sure I can keep up babysitting them to make sure they do their job. The service is ok when actually done. Not sure it s worth the headache. Edit: they called to make things right. Came to my home and actually performed the service. Just hoping it won t happen again.

Saw weed control right after the first treatment. Broadleaf weeds started to wilt while the grass got greener. The technician came on time and was very thorough. They communicated via text, email and with the app. The app is very convenient, but still clunky. It has great potential though. Very happy with the first treatment.

I like the friendly but not pushy sales representative who set us up. She thoroughly explained everything and was very informative and patient. It is our first time hiring a professional service for our lawn; weve always done it ourselves. Her patience in answering all my questions was encouraging. The customer service rep who helped us add spring aeration to our plan was quick to resolve the issue and friendly. Also, almost no hold time! She answered in less than two minutes! Ian, who came out yesterday for trees and shrubs, was excellent! I love that he rang the doorbell when he arrived and talked to me before starting work. I work from home, and someone is almost always home. We knew he was on his way due to your excellent tracking app and text notifications keeping us updated about our service visits! Ian took the time to talk with me and my daughter-in-law after he was done. We highly appreciate this personal touch Ian provided to keep us informed on the status of our trees and shrubs and what he discovered. I should add that after the first weed treatment we have a significant improvement! The thistles are dying out! I love that they use pet/kid friendly treatments; so after only a few hours its safe for my puppy and 4yr old granddaughter.

We booked Truegreen for a very simple weed treatment of our property, and they failed, time and again, to deliver despite repeated promises and attempts to reschedule. For the first treatment, they assured us we didnt need to be there for the treatment. Their technician arrived and treated just 1/3 of the property we asked them to treat. I called and scheduled a retreatment, but they didnt even show up on the scheduled day. I rescheduled again, and they showed up without the right equipment. When I finally reached a manager (on a Friday), she told me the salesperson had made an error, booked our service as fertilization rather than weed treatment, told me she corrected the error, and promised theyd call back to schedule the retreatment early the following week. When they hadnt called back by Tuesday at 4:00, I called them to schedule the retreatment. The customer service rep informed me that my file was closed and indicated Id cancelled the service. That wasnt true, but I made it true and cancelled the service then and there. Thanks to Truegreen, my property went untreated for several weeks, and weeds sprouted all over my lawn. Itll take much longer now to pull them, and Ill need to find a new company to handle weed treatment going forward. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Poor communication and terrible customer services. Very unimpressed. Edit: To Truegreens credit, they refunded me for the inadequate service they provided (after I posted this review).

I had so many weeds from neighbors blowing seedlings that I couldnt keep up with the pulling constantly. I had TrueGreen years ago and decided to go back to them. Prices have risen, but it made a difference.

A complete joke of a company. You prepay for an annual service. And they keep canceling. I had one initial service and theyve never been back. Just reschedule and cancel, then reschedule and cancel again. Month after month, the same thing. Even after dealing with their customer service folks and promises of arriving, they cancel again. If I could put zero stars, I would. Dont waste your money or your time.

David was good to talk with and did a good job.

A warning sign not put in my yard this time. Also Im noticing weeds in my backyard. Will call if weeds dont wilt and die in a couple of weeks. Did not receive any paperwork for this service today. Usually left in the door.

Good product but bad customer service.

No one even showed up on their scheduled time which was sometime mid week then when I call they said yeah we can come out next week. I am so confused by their service ... The customer service rep natassia wasnt friendly at all - she said oh I dont speak english very sarcastically - she placed me on hold for over 20 minutes to hang up on me. Unprofessional, would HIGHLY NOT recommend!

Ive seen other lawns that they have treated and all of the weeds and dandelions and everything that shouldnt be there is gone, so Im hoping for the same results. Stay tuned and I will let you know the results. I found talking to Carlos the gentleman that did the service very knowledgeable friendly and answered all my questions. I hope he is the gentleman that will show up the next time, I trust him.

A technician named Sylvia came and applied insecticide to my tree s & ornamentals. I wasn t there at the time but she wrote a complete summary explaining all she did and suggestions on maintaining also. She was great!

Very happy with the service! Ian was perfessional and very knowledgeable. Made sure every inch was covered. 1 hesitation. Im a royal customer that would like to have Ian be the one that services my trees every time they get service.

It all is a big scam! I am not sure what I have been paying for. I was signed up for trees and shrub care. Every time I had a paper in the door: We performed your service, I was wondering what exactly was done. cause all threes had dead branches, shrubs were not ever cut. Some did not have water and were dying. They never did care to give me a call with updates. The only thing they care for is to collect money.

All I want is to cancel my plan I have now talked to 3 people and they say my service is canceled but will not officially send me confirmation. This includes hanging up on me, transferring me to others. Im fed up, you say yes you can cancel at anytime but here I am. CANCEL MY SERVICE!

Ive had this service since 6-1-23 and have yet to see any weeds die, disappear, any type of reduction in weed growth, its currently 8/29/23 and I dont know why Im paying for this service at this point !

After my husband passed away, I was struggling to keep up with everything so I hired TruGreen to help with the lawn. I paid for the whole year and bought their top of the line package. The account manager, Dan, assured me he would get my lawn looking like a golf course and that I wouldnt have to babysit it. However, after that one visit, I havent been able to reach him. The technicians come to the house but they never knock on the door but then say they did on the service summary. My yard still has tons of weeds, bare spots, and yellow spots.

Ian was awesome. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. I wish I could request him every time.

Scam company that will spam you with emails from random spoof accounts so you cant block them

Tree technician Sylvia was very helpful and considerate. On time and great service.

Called TruGreen to deal with some bug/pest issues in the yard. App is top notch, you can handle everything from your phone. Elias was our service professional and was super friendly and knowledgeable. Leo who was with him was great too! We will use them again next year.

Tech came to my house again today after I explicitly told them multiple times to cancel my service. I told the tech not to access my property as I was taking my dogs on a walk. They drove around the block and accessed my property anyway. This company is borderline criminal. Theres no local number you can call, you have to go through a call center, which is really really fun!

Your representative was absolutely on point. His application was over lapping. Great job!

I would have preferred that the aeration pulled deeper plugs.

We moved into our new home 2 years ago and the previous owner didn t take care of the lawn. I found TruGreen online and decided to give it a try (back then the rating was 4*). I called and explained the situation to the representative, i thought they would be able to help, they seemed to have cared A year and almost $1k later- 0 changes in the lawn, if anything i think it got worse. I felt ripped off, 1k won t be a lot to some people but my mom is a single parent with 2 kids, and living in colorado and going to school is pretty expensive, HOA was on our behind about the grass and nothing we could do but just sit and watch this unfold in very unpleasant ways. i have decided to call TruGreen and cancel the agreement, the lady on the phone was very helpful and said everything is cancelled but couldn t send me an email confirmation because they apparently don t do that, i found that very odd. So i thought that s it! i ll look for some other company. Nooooopeee, they came out to the house for literally 30 seconds i am not kidding and left and charged us 50$. i call again why is this still happening i canceled it? and i got an answer back it was never canceled but i ll cancel it for you . fast forward, i had to call 8 times and try to cancel it . while still being charged for 0 work being done i was very frustrated and called for the last time and got angry and demanded a cancelation form- i got a cancelation number. I m not one to complain about companies and go out of my way to write a review, but this time i had to. In case there s ladies out there that know nothing about lawn care and are looking for companies that are trustworthy- steer clear of this one.

Weve been using Trugreen for a few seasons now and theyre great! I work from home and I can be quite busy, so its comforting to know that the tech that arrives wont disturb us, goes about the job at hand without the need for direction and then they deliver a nice note at the end explaining what was done and things to watch out for. If youre hiring this service to manage the situation for you, thats exactly what they do and we are happy that weve been customers!

A small boy named Elias came to spread Revive on my grass and within 4 hours of him leaving I noticed a HUGE difference in the color and quite of my grass. Thank you so much Elias!! We definitely want you back soon!

Elias came to lay down some lawn revive as I was working from home and he was so fast and so quiet I didn t even realize that he was done!! He even helped me lay my trash on the curb when he seen me trying to take it myself as he was leaving!!

Had Elias come by this morning while I was making breakfast for the family and he did a little lawn work for us. He was very fast, polite and thorough with the application. THANKS ELIAS

Came home to find leaves on my truck and all over my driveway but my neighbors lawn was clean. Thought that was odd as they wouldnt do this normally. Pulled up my camera footage and watched the trugreen guy blow all their leaves over to me so he could treat the lawn and just leave them there. Pretty poor attitude.

What I like most about TruGreen is if I have a complaint that the district manager of my area make sure that it s addressed and I believe my district manager is Mike and he takes care of the issues for me so that my experience with TruGreen is a good experience

Terrible. This company lied about being able to kill my weeds, took nearly over a $1,000, now the manager confirmed their customer reps have absolutely no control over what their production do in peoples yards, and back-peddled long after taking my money saying they would need 3 years to do what their rep said theyd do in one year, and confirmed on top of that the guy is their best rep!!! This is a terrible business, everything is automated and no one cares about the clients. Despite my issues, theyve already set up another automated contract for next year, adding insult to injury. Im having to consult with an attorney and threaten legal action to figure out how to make them deliver what they got paid for, and at least avoid being debited further into next year.
