They are completely irresponsible and their fees are extremely unreasonable. They charge several times more than others but have a very bad attitude. If you want to receive overpriced and unprofessional service, then go to them.

I really should write this comment earlier. This is the best best landscaping company ever! We have a nasty neighbor who always park their junk car right in front of our bedroom and moving multiple times day and night. I called Jack asking if we can plant a row of shrubs. Hes being so considerate and very patient with all the questions I asked. He showed up in a week and planted them in 2 hours. He is my hero! Although the neighbor issue still exists but it helped a lot with noise! They also helped us removed many wild trees and shrubs. We all love his team!!!

I have been a customer of J&R Landscaping for at least 10 years. They always return phone calls and answer any questions that may exist. They are always courteous and keep my lawn looking great! I would highly recommend them!!!!!

Contracted J&R to grade my property, lay sod in the back and front and do some landscaping. They took my property from an unfinished, rocky, hilly mess and turned it into a beautiful green masterpiece. They are fast, easy to work with and overall great guys. I can t thank them enough for their patience and flawless execution. If you re not using J&R for your outdoor projects, you re making a big mistake.

I have used JR Landscaping to repair two leaks in my landscape system as well as replace stones in my walkway and on my patio steps. They were very responsive to getting the leaks identified and fixed quickly. They did a fantastic job repairing the stone work. I was very pleased and recommend them highly!

Been using J&R for 3 months. While a little more expensive than other people we tried out, no one has come close to reliability than these guys. The owner actually texts back right away. The landscapers actually show up on a weekly basis. They do a great clean up job. One time, I had a mess in my back yard involving animals, and one of his landscapers came on his time off (!) to remove the mess. Trust me when I say you are in the best hands with this company.

We had our backyard redone by J&R and it was honestly one of the best experiences & would definitely continuing doing business with them and would recommend to friends and family as well. We dealt with Jack from J&R and he was amazing - friendly, honest & straightforward guy. Our backyard was originally just one big slob of grass with nothing much going on and Jack really did a wonderful job cleaning it up and transforming it into a zen garden. We wanted to keep it very simple and minimal with some interest and they did just that. Jack was always super responsive and always on time and we really appreciate that. Now we can enjoy our backyard garden & be excited about planting our heart away and be able to truly appreciate and enjoy spending time out there. Going with J&R was one of the best decisions I made!!! Attentive, honest, trustworthy, friendly and reasonably priced. What more could you want!?!? I decided to rip up a huge deck in my backyard and put sod in. It was unique situation given that I also need about 20 cu yds of dirt as well to fill in the pit left from the deck. I was getting really high quotes which I understood since it was a big project, but installation times months away and not a lot of care from those companies. We reached out the J&R and within a day Giacomo called me and gave me a reasonable quote over the phone. I tried to explain to him that its probably more than he thinks, so we facetimed so I could show him. After that he offered to come out to my home and give me a more accurate quote. At this point he had already offered me more time and attention than anyone else and all for free and no commitment. This care he gave me sold me and I contacted him with proceeding. We also had a bit of an unusual ask as we were installing the sprinklers ourselves to save some money. Giacomo offered to deliver the dirt first so I could lay the sprinklers over the weekend then come back to lay the sod. I cant imagine many others willing to do a piecemeal process to help me save money. Routinely J&R went out of their way to give me exactly what I wanted making the whole process so much easier and more comfortable. He didnt try to upsell me on anything and gave me tons of advice on what and how to DIY things to save myself money. I told two other friends to contact them before they were even done with my yard and I will be sure to use them in the future!

We chose J and R custom landscaping when our backyard was in dire condition and needed some major work with new plants and trees, grading and sod. Our experience from the first meeting with Jack was phenomenal! He is punctual, knowledgeable about plants and has excellent ideas. He is always available by phone and very responsive. His pricing is very fair and after a couple of meetings we finalized our backyard design. Jack goes out of his way to make his customers happy. He genuinely cares about the quality of this work. He even went as far as to meet with my neighbor who had concerns about planting trees near our property line. The results were far better than expected. If youre looking for someone who has a great eye for landscape design, can pick out the highest quality plants, and gets the job done with a large crew, Giacomo and his brothers are the right choice. After a recommendation from a friend several years ago, he did a complete re-landscaping of my property that included planting well over 100 plants from evergreens for privacy around the perimeter to other flowering and specimen plants throughout. His crew got this all done in 1 day and a half. Immediately, my phone started buzzing with text messages with compliments from neighbors. This is the kind of work that makes a huge difference on your curb appeal as well as your personal enjoyment out of your home. We moved a few months ago and it wasnt even a question over who wed use. This was a bigger property that needed a lot of old plants, shrubs, and trees removed and a total redesign with new plants to unlock the full potential. Giacomo and his team showed up with an absolute army of people today to plant 22 trees, mulch, and sod the perimeter of my backyard. Entire job was done in under an hour and a half. Super clean job and looks fantastic. Giacomo was great to work with- will listen to what you want but will give honest feedback and give you his professional input. I came across J & R Custom Landscaping on a Facebook advertisement. After reaching out to them, Jack responded extremely quickly to my inquiry and was able to set up an estimate quickly as well. He was professional, enthusiastic, and honest. I felt confident that he understood our vision for our backyard. In less than 4 weeks time he was able to deliver what he promised. Our backyard was transformed into a beautiful space. Great quality work and very fair price with a year warranty included. J&R Landscaping is the best landscaping company I have hired since I moved into Plainview almost 40 years ago. Giacomo, his 2 brothers Mario and Gianni, are all gentlemen and toil in the work as hard as their crew does. They pride themselves on quality work. Giacomo, Mario, and Gianni from J&R transformed my backyard in a matter of hours. 56 green giants and other assorted shrubs and plants, mulch, and sod. They come with a small army and at least one of the brothers (if not all) is present on the job at all times overseeing the job and answering questions. Absolute amazing job done by Giacomo and his guys. He was able to create an amazing landscape design for me last year which left me and my girlfriend speechless, and fast forward to today and they came to our place no question ask to do maintenance and re-mulch the entire front yard. Found J&R on facebook and super glad I did! Its been hard trying to shop for privacy trees because you never really know what you will end up getting until day of install. I ve seen advertisement for 5-6 ft or 6-7 ft and the quality/fullness of the trees seem to varies on the landscapers. This season was also apparently tough on inventory and some of the landscapers I spoke with had trouble getting the trees at the right height we wanted. (I know construction supplies are low too, we ve been looking into other home reno projects) Jack was very responsive from the beginning when I first reached out and when I asked, sent me photos, video and even face timed me to show me examples of the trees I would be getting. His brother also paid an in person visit and chatted with my neighbor and I about what they can do and the location for planting. I spoke with a few other landscapers but ultimately went with J&R because they were responsive, straightforward and the price was competitive! The trees ended up looking great, fat and tall and gave me instant privacy!!

Giacamo is by far the best landscaper on Long Island. He did an amazing job at solving a grading issue I had and re-designing my home with all new shrubs and trees which completely transformed the whole feel of my property.
