Back yard has never been so thick and green. No weeds!

Service has been hit and miss. I would love to give five stars but some of the visits have been not fully completed.

Whoever you had in the 84081 area today was driving recklessly and over curbs. He lost his fertilizer cart off the back of his truck going over a speed bump at high speeds then returned to grab it just to go speeding off again, nearly losing the fertilizer cart again! I can t get into contact with the WJ location to notify them. Driving like that is scary, but in a neighborhood with kids playing! What is going thru your mind!?

They let me know they were on their way came to the door introduced himself asked if I had any questions. I said no then he went right to work. Thank you for your good service.

I thought I was going to have to tear out the lawn and start over. TruGreen brought the lawn back and its healthier than most on my block. Update: I had some concerns with grass not growing where it was supposed to be seeded and they addressed it and immediately came up with a solution. The last technician we had was amazing, spent time answering my questions about the lawn not getting green which really helped me decide on a solution I wanted. He even helped bring up the trash bins from the street.

Very polite young man. Did a thorough spray job! Let me know he was there so I could make sure dogs were in.

TruGreen in the Alpine UT area is very good. I had some special requests and they ve been easy to contact and work with. The yard looks good.

Tru Green tech did a good job. Walked the yard with me to see areas of concern. I have several larger spots where grass is dieing. Sprayed whole lawn for weeds and fertilizer. Need tru green manager to come see why spots are not doing well.

Very upset with how West Jordans branch runs their services. I have been signed up for tree care and perimeter pest control. My trees still have scales that ARE burrowed into the pine needles. The trees are not looking good. I have not received not one tree service this year after being told my outstanding balance will be paid with the first tree service by a sales person in West Jordan. That has not happened and with that false information I was given my service was discontinued beyond my knowledge. I have had two perimeter applications so far this year but still am finding spiders, earwigs, beetles, aphids, gnats, and mosquitoes everywhere in my house, my daughter found a beetle in her bed this morning. If I could I would switch to the Salt lake branch.

TruGreen was very responsive to my needs and concerns and followed up with me to set a time to address those concerns in a very short time. Everyone was courteous and professional in addressing my concerns and committed to provide me with the best of service. They went the extra mile to provide Me the personal touch,

Our experience with Winter Lee has been the best we have ever experienced. Her knowledge of lawn care is excellent. She was very personable with me and easy to talk to. I learned a lot from her. I hope we see more of her in the future.

We purchased a year long contract because we just put in new sod and wanted to keep it weed free. I called numerous times last year to come respray as there was a difference grass of some kind growing. I hired Tru Green beat wanted a grass expert to help me. They did respray but never diagnosed my grass with quack grass had we caught it last year when i first asked them to come back it would not have spread to my whole lawn. Even after calling them back this year, they never said anything. This year our grass was the worst looking lawn in the neighborhood so we needed up buying our own fertilizer to green it up.I am so dissatisfied and sad they let my new lawn be over run with a horrible weed. $350 down the drain.

Austin came to do my first treatment on time and listened to my questions about whether it would harm my bees and what I could do about the brown spots created by my dog. He answered the questions he knew the answers to and called his supervisor on those he didnt know the answers to and then shared those answers with me before he left. I was happy with the first application and with Austin. Thanks Austin!

For my first service of the year, my technician took the time to look at the lawn, and decide what was most needed at the time, because I had an over seeding done last fall, and the back lawn was very patchy still and needed to make sure that we didn t put Anything on it that would hinder that, and it all got taken care of. He did a great job. Stephen G was my technician.

I had been with Turfplus for several years, but still couldnt get rid of dry spots on the yard. Within a month or two with Trugreen, all the spots were healed and my yard looks AWESOME now. All the years I spent with turf Plus were basically wasted because I had grubs and they misdiagnosed it. Did keep the weeds down, but never fixed the real problem.

Id probably give 2 or 3 stars if I could find a way to cancel their recurring payments, but they hide it, to the point I still havent found online or in the app how to cancel. They didnt do a very good job last year, I still had plenty of weeds in the grass and brown spots. I certainly cant recommend them.

Very courteous and quickly and efficiently applied treatment

Tanner knocked on our door when he arrived. When I expressed my concerns about the increasing dandelion in my lawn, he pleasantly assured me that he would take care of it. I hope to see results in the near future as he promised.

Robert and Caden did a great job on spraying all the weeds in our desert rock areas! They were thorough and even helped with some weeds that were growing in a crack on the driveway. They were very professional, efficient and friendly. I highly recommend this service!

My yard is looking great!!!

I just have to assume that they did a good job - it seems that everyone that comes to do an application is here less than 5 minutes - I am hoping for the high cost that I am paying - that he did a thorough job. One complaint that I have is that while applying the insect application for trees and shrubs they coated my outside windows - I am thinking that this is going to be difficult to get off my windows. On another note - every year I call and talk to the guys making the application about crab grass in my lawn - I am always assured that what they are applying to the lawn will eliminate the crab grass - it has not made a dent in all the crab grass in my lawn - in areas of my yard I have a lot more crab grass than lawn - I would like to know what you could do the get rid of this noxious weed?

Did not complete the services that I paid for had my account on auto pay and then got a collections letter in the mail from a service that was not performed. I would not recommend they re billing department is a joke.

Just had my first service. It was very quick and the guy did a great job. I was a little nervous because I had read some poor reviews, but after today Im actually quite excited. Looking forward to my weed free, lush green lawn as the season progresses.

They were considerate. They came early, before 8am, so they completed the work without knocking. They did exactly what I was hoping they would do; fertilizer and weed control for early spring. Basically, they were intuitive to the needs of both the family and the lawn.

All went well

Didnt show up for 3 months in a row, so I cancelled my service. Just got a phone call that I have a scheduled appointment tomorrow! Then I got the runaround for 12 mins on their automated phone menu.

My wife hired TruGreen to take care of our crabgrass. The salesman said they would come out in a few days and put down a pre-emergent. TRUGREEN DID NOT SHOW UP! They came out a month or so later, too late to lay down the pre-emergent, and skipped that step. She complained several times wanting to cancel the contract (since they didnt deliver as promised) and get our money back, instead they came out and used a GRASS KILLER on the lawn. I now have large sections of dead lawn. WE WILL NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN.

I have used many other services, but I keep coming back to TruGreen. They have a great product and they are great at weed control. If I m not happy, they always make it right.

was researching the options for my lawn. Got a call, explaining services and cost. way upselling things. I deferred the decision. Got a call again Jim from Kentucky, very unprofessional fellow. Instead of explaining me why i need the service, he arrogantly told me how big this company is and all that. In middle of me talking, he bluntly asked me if i want to buy service or not, which obviously i declined. End of call. Very unprofessional and no wonder they have so many bad reviews. Thanks Jim for behaving upfront, saved me spending and then regretting later based on reviews.

Today they came and did aeration of my yard. They were very efficient and quick with their work. I am very pleased!

ZERO.... ABSOLUTELY ZERO STARS. I have scheduled my tree service 4 times.... And theyve never shown up. This company is incapable of holding a schedule or showing up for anything. This is the third month in a row that they havent shown up. This doesnt count the 2 times they billed me and claimed to have come. Thankfully I have cameras, so when they lie about it I know. This company has grown to a point where they cant manage their clients or schedule or phone calls. This is the only lawn/tree service Ive known of that has to send all of their calls overseas because they cant even answer the phone. Dont use them, youve been warned.

TruGreen has been a pleasure to work with. I always get notifications via text of their arrival, when they arrive and a summary of what was done.

Service agent is great. He s knowledgeable and approachable. Yard has only had two repayments and we are rid of dandelions and now working on grubs and waive blade grasses.

I am happy with trugreen. I have been with them for a couple of years. I have tried out other companies and I didnt like their service and the price was expensive.

This company is a Joke! They showed up at mydo0r on May 13, 2023 at 7 am, walked onto my property, didnt ring the door bell and just left. They came out again on 5/19/23, I had recently mowed the lawn and they only sparyed the visible weeds and not the whole lawn. I called them out again 2 weeks later and asked them to spray the whole lawn for weeds not just the visible ones and they showed up at 6:50 am on 6/02/23, rang my door bell but didnt do anything because I didnt answer the door. Im assuming it was the manager at the West Jordan location that texed me and asked if they could come back later that day and I told them yes but no on showed up. I texted him the next morning (6/03/23) and asked when they were gong to come to my home since they didnt show up the day before. I was told that he would see if he could get me on the schedule for that day and would get back to me. He didnt get back to me, someone just showed up at my door a couple hours later. 2 days later (6/05/23) they texted me to tell me they were coming out tomorrow to spray for weeds. I called and asked why they were coming out again when they were just here 2 days ago. I was told that they were coming to spray weeds and do grub control. No one docuemented that they had been out to my home on 6/03/23 and sprayed weeds. I only ordered weed control and fertilization so Im not sure why they were coming to do grub control. They do not comunicate with each other or their clients. They show up at your home before 7 am. Im hoping this second spray for weeds helps but after reading all these reviews Im not very confident in the weed control even after a second spray. I gave them 1 star because I had to.

If you are looking for lawn service DONT use #TruGreen. After working with them for 1 year our lawn is worse than ever. We paid upfront for a complete service and at the end our thistle weeds were out of control which is what we hired them to take care of. We cant walk on half our lawn because of the prickles. After contacting their customer service throughout the year they kept saying the next treatment would take care of it. At the end of the year I called again and they said they wouldnt come do another service without paying for another year even though the lawn was awful and there is a service guarantee which apparently means NOTHING! Total waste of money for a useless service! Just a warning to all to go with ANYBODY else.

Awful awful awful I signed up for yard and mosquito treatment and my yard has never looked so bad. I have 6 dead spots and the mosquitos are worse than ever. When i called they said I shouldve called to set up a re treatment, no yall should use quality product so I dont have to call to tell you that my yard looks awful. Biggest waste of money

Ive been a happy customer of Trugreen for years. Theyve come back and would do a repeat service if needed. Good at communicating with you before and after the applications. This last service was especially through. Thanks for your efforts.

After 2 years of service on my brand new lawn, excessive weeds all over. I ll give 2 stars because they come consistently and I never have to think about it. Also my grass itself seems pretty healthy. But there are weeds everywhere.

A friend of mine had TruGreen years ago and he had a really nice Green lawn thats why I called them because I had a friend that personally had them for years so Im trying them out on my lawn to see if I can get my long green and much better than what it is

I have been extremely disappointed with my TruGreen service. I signed up for tree and shrub, lawn service, and aeration and overseeding. No one has been out to service our lawn in over two months. When they do come out, they apply the treatment in a haphazard way that misses a lot of the yard. There are weeds all over the yard, and Ive dug up grubs in the back. The tree service isnt much better. They spray things they are not supposed to and dont spray what they are supposed to. I have to call them every single time after a service. I will not be renewing this service.

It took longer than I expected to kill the weeds. I know that my lawn had a bad weed problem.

I paid a lot of money for this service and Im not impressed. After a really bad weed spring the treatment didnt seem to kill any weeds. I got online a few weeks later to request another treatment (part of their plan) and no one ever showed up on the scheduled day so I ended up buying my own weed spray and doing it myself. A mosquito treatment was scheduled for a certain day but no time. The guy showed up at like 6:30 am. I dont get up that early so he just left. The fertilizer seems to be ok. I wont be using them next year and after this review (3 texts begging for a review, another bummer) Im not expecting anything good for my future treatments which include a de-thatching and over seeding, which I really need. So truGreen...be careful what you beg for. One text would be plenty but three got you this one star review, zero wasnt an option.

They helped create a plan that tailored to my specific lawn needs and my budget. They healed my lawn from an infestation of weeds and poor care from previous owners. We thought wed have to replace it but they saved it!

The manager came in person to see my property and make suggestions as to fix some lawn problems.

This is our first time using Trugreen. We really like how they communicate via text messages about when you can expect them, then after the service you get a detailed PDF about the services done, recommendations and more. So far, it has been nice to have Trugreen helping us to maintain our yard.

Christian K came today to service us. He was beyond amazing with his customer service. The only complaint I have is when I get a good person at my house, I get someone diffeeent the next time. I feel the weed control could be better. Had to call them to come out again to use a spray to get to those broad leaf weeds. This happened a couple of times.

I feel like I am paying for product that is applied in a very half-hearted effort, no matter the technician. They are in and out in a matter of minutes, with an application that appears to me, to not even get all of the lawn area. If the effort is to apply as little product as possible to treat, then you are achieving 100%.

Contract amount billed is not clear. When I called to inquire about my account, the automated system was nonresponsive. When I finally got through to an agent, they were evasive and unatentive. I have canceled this service and would not recommend it.

I would not recommend Tru Green go somewhere else. Brandon my sales rep really seems like he wanted to take care of me and my lawn. However he told us he would ensure several services that did NOT happen. Every time I ve reached out to see what s going on he ghosts me and doesn t respond. Super unprofessional and messed up to promise things then ignore your customers when they ask about why it isn t happening. I will be going elsewhere from here on out.

I have just started with Truegreen and i can already see the difference in my lawn .

This company is a pest!! They called us too many times to count even though we told them we were not interested. After blocking (multiple!) numbers they kept calling from new numbers! When we were finally able to talk to someone about taking our name off their call list they started showing up at our home and leaving information on our door. Don t give them any of your information!!

Still trying to get grub damaged fixed that TrueGreen allowed to happen. It s been over a year and still nothing has been done. I would strongly caution anyone from considering this company. Nothing but constant run around from this company. I have requested a visit with a specialist multiple times over a month long period and have never received the visit I was promised. My lawn is the only one on our street that is treated by TruGreen and it looks the worst. I had one employee contact me about my concerns and then never showed for our scheduled appointment and never had the decency to call after missing the appointment and never took the opportunity to reschedule. I am going to cancel my service.

My lawn looks great, i mostly like the pest control however

We hired True green to get control of the weeds in my lawn after having then come out a second time, the lawn looks horrible. I thought that TruGreen being formerly Scotts would have the same quality and guarantee that they did. I was apparently very wrong.

I called them to get a quote. They charge you per square foot of yard. They said the only measurement they do of the square footage of the lawn is by google maps, not in person. They first tried to say my yard was 9000 sqft. I tried to tell them what parts of my yard they could not see are not grass, but trees. They reduced it to 7500 sqft. I then told them that was too much and emailed the phone rep a screenshot with me outlining the area. He tried to mimic the area on his screen calculator and said it was still 6000 sqft. I told him that was better but still too much. I went with another company (stewart lawn) that actually sends someone out to measure your yard in person. They came up with 4800 sqft of yard. Dont use TruGreen, they will scam you by overcharging you by the area by at least 20% over if not more. They also keep having their call center call you back over and over every hour if you dont sign up with them. I finally got them to stop calling after the 3rd time in 1 day.

I would give zero stars if I could. Shady company. We paid up front for lawn treatments as well as aeration and seeding total cost was over 600$. One day we got notification that the fertilization service was performed but no one ever showed up when we called they said it was marked as done, so they thought the tech went to the wrong property. They did make this right and had the tech come back out. However, On the date that we scheduled the seeding and aeration no one showed up. We called customer service and tried to get this rescheduled, got terrible customer service by multiple reps. We were told the manager would be reaching out to us, and never heard from anyone. So we tried to call and cancel our service and get a refund and were hung up on by 2 customer service reps. Then we finally got someone to process the cancellation they said they had no idea how much money we would be refunded. I doubt we will see any of that money back. Do not use this company.

We used TruGreen for a year and our grass is dying and looks the worst on our street. With professional services I expect a better than average lawn.. Never got that. After each treatment we would give it time hoping it would improve, but it never did. When they came for our last service I asked for suggestions to make it look better, and I was willing to pay more to get it looking better. The service guy said sorry I dont know what to tell you. Ok then... Ill cancel!

Horrible service signed up with this company to spray for weeds that have started growing throughout my lawn and everything sounded great on the phone until I checked my security cameras when they came to do the first service, The tech didn t even bother to go in the back yard what a joke, He also drug his hose through all my landscaping plants and lava rocks and made a mess with the rocks all over the sidewalk and throughout the grass. BEWARE using this company only good thing was the person on the phone was very polite that gave me my refund.

Used service for fertilizing lawn. Scheduling was supposed to happen regularly through an app, but I had to call and wait in hold 30min + each time get someone on the phone, and even then was sometimes weeks out. 6 treatments I had to call for 4 of them. 1/2 were done in the fall. Classic issue of big business disconnected from its work force. After cancelling they showed up and billed me for work I had not authorized. Had to call 2 more times to remove invoice and I keep getting calls for additional services. Beyond frustrated. Looks like I am not alone.

DO NOT use this company. They are awful! On two occasions they came out, (after I had already canceled my service), did not even perform any service, were there less than 3 minutes, put a stake in my lawn and billed me for it. After 4 calls to the company, and promises to remove the charges, only one charge was removed and the other charge is now in collections! Imagine my surprise to get a collection call on a charge that I was assured would be taken care of and after I had already canceled my service. On a different occasion, I was quoted a price to do a service and then was billed $200 more than the quote without any notification of the change in price! Awful! Just awful! When they did come and perform the services, my lawn looked worse than before I ever used them.

Have you ever wondered, is trugreen a good company and can take something off my plate with weeds on my lawn care? Well, thats what I thought and was hoping for. Im here to tell you that they dont. This company is just a giant headache and does not take care of your lawn. Im pretty sure they just come out and stick the sign in your yard and leave. Getting them to come back out to try again, dont even waste your time. I definitely would not use this company ever again, even if they paid me to use them. My entire lawn looks like these two pictures.

Looking at my lawn now after I fertilized myself, I get so angry that I wasted my time with Trugreen. My lawn was not growing or green all summer, basically looked like Trugreen put a service sign in the yard and did nothing else. I requested that the manager come look at my lawn. Trugreen told me that the manager would call me, apparently he called but I did not answer so he considered my inquiry closed. No message, nothing. Fast forward two weeks requested that the manager come again, Trugreen told me the manager would call and schedule an appt. no call! He then proceed to send some kids out to take pictures, unacceptable. They couldnt even tell me what was wrong with my lawn, Ill tell you what was wrong, they never applied fertilizer. Honestly I should have not been charged for any service because my lawn was by far the worst looking lawn on the block. I cancelled my service with Trugreen, and would give Trubrown -5 stars.

If you are concerned about customer service and honesty, don t use this service. I called 2 times in advance to schedule a day, both of which were confirmed by different representatives. I never got a follow up call on when they were going to come by to service it, so I called a third time and this representative informed me that I was never rescheduled by anyone, but that I talked to 2 other people. They don t have a good scheduling system and make it extremely difficult to feel valued. It s not worth it to work with companies that don t care about your time.

I recently chatted with James Bennett of the West Jordan office and he was very informative and helpful about letting me know what kind of weeds we have and how to ensure that they are taken care of. I appreciate the information in addition to the service.

If I could give it a 0 I would! This company is so dishonest and then wont return calls they burned my lawn with fertilizer then finally got a service manager out and he said they would do a revive which he did and also airate and overseed which they have not yet done and now my whole back yard is dead and they wont return any of my calls. Definitely dont use this company I am going to have to pay thousands for a new backyard because of them and they dont care

Seriously do not choose trugreen. Pick a small local company that actually cares about their clients and provides the results you want. I have been with trugreen for close to 2 years and it s been nothing but disappointment after disappointment. I called to cancel and close my account which I did. 1 or so month after canceling I receive a bill from trugreen for their scam of a mosquito treatment that did nothing and a couple of other items. I was confused because I was not made aware of the balance when closing the account. How are they able to close the account if there is a balance. Joke of a company that got too big and corporate. Your just a number not a customer that s actually cared for.

If I could give a 0 I would. We paid upfront for numerous services, they came out but never actually sprayed the lawn we have camera and video footage of them not actually working while being at the house. When we spoke and called customer service they offered to refund us because we showed them that their techs werent actually spraying our lawns, getting the refund has been the most horrible experience ever. Do not trust these people with your business there are so much better options.

There employee was very professional and explained what service he provided. Trugreen as a business is ok. Service is spotty and they call all the time to sign you up when your already a customer.

Stay as far away from these frauds as possible! They scam their clients and have 0 resolution. They don t show up and then send you a bill for services that never happened. If they do show up they don t apply anything and then mark that they came. When you try to resolve the issue you end up in a call center in the Philippines that are no help. True green is dishonest. They will screw you over and flip you the bill for services never rendered. DO NOT WORK with Trugreen for ANYTHING!

I was called by one of their sales people who talked me into paying in full for an entire season on two of my homes. Not only did they not show up once, I continued to call for a resolution without any response. The following year, they showed up at my properties without my consent and then charged me. It took several months of trying to get the bill resolved. Trugreen said they had took the charges off. Now, I have had a collection agency after me for the past 4 months. I have yet to be able to get a representative on the phone to resolve it. So after paying them $1200 for nothing, I am not going to be paying a collection agency. I strongly recommend NOT using this company!!!

Called all the time to get them to spay the lawn for weeds and still had weed finally I went to Wal-Mart and got some spay and killed them my self. And I fired them told them I could do better my self

Used them for the summer of 2020 it was not a good experience. Not only was I called all the time to try to sell me other services, but the sales people wouldnt listen one call was when my mother was dying and I was getting calls from family. So I answered the phone to trugreen sales I told not right now and what was going on and the guy continued with his sales pitch. If that wasnt bad enough they burned my grass and caused huge holes on the lawn. When called out on this they told me my dogs did it even though I pointed out I have a dog walk and my dogs dont come in this area. They had a manger come out who told me they would make it right and over seed my yard and aerate it. After several months I never saw this done and several calls they said they put it in the system and they would be out. But it never got done.

Our grass never really looked green. Despite having them do additional treatments.

I watched from my window as the lawn specialist sprayed half my yard, got in his truck and left. I tried calling right away, with a 2 hour wait on the phone. I tried contacting them through live chat, with 54 people in front of me. SCAM. Do not hire.

Go anywhere but here for yard services. A child would be more reliable. After pre-paying for aeration, no one showed up. With my 2nd call they informed that they saw I called and paid for the service, but they failed to schedule someone to come out. They re-scheduled me and again, no show. This the happened again after my 3rd call. I then called a 4th time and was told they couldnt get anyone out for 2 more weeks. I cancelled the service at this point and now expect I will have the same issue being refunded. Thanks for nothing Trugreen. You are absolutely a worthless company.

Paid for a 9 service lawn package. Scheduled and setup our first visit. 2 weeks later they still had not shown up, no call, no messages, nothing.. Checked online and they had cancelled our appointment. They didnt even setup another one or notify us. We called customer service and all they did was offer us a 10% discount and to reschedule us. We asked for our money back. The lady fought with us only offering a 10% discount. Then she hung up on us. We called back and got a guy who did the same thing. Called the manager at Trugreen and he yelled at my wife then hung up on her. Then he refused to answer his phone. Finally got ahold of someone at the corporate and got our full refund after 2 weeks. Read all the reviews... this company is pathetic and unprofessional. DO NOT USE THEM!! They will never show up and its a fight to get your money back.

We thought we would try this company out and what a mistake. They showed up on the first visit and have missed two months since that time. You can t speak to a manager or supervisor because none are available. You call to talk to customer service and they are not available to answer calls but if you select the new customer button they answer right away (that s how I finally was able to speak to a person). In order to talk to someone you have to leave a message and they will get back to you within 48 hours. We paid in advance for our lawn treatments. This company does not know the definition of customer service, values or ethics. I would not recommend anyone to hire this company for any job. They simply do not care.

I prepaid for service and was promised multiple times someone would come out to look at my lawn and provide a plan to help restore my lawn. No one ever showed up, so I called an was told nothing had been scheduled. I asked them to schedule something and got a vague answer, someone will come out to you in the next week. No one came. I called again and was told for sure they would send someone on Thur July 2. No one showed. I called again and asked for a refund and to speak to a manager. They said I couldnt speak to a manager, but that they would cancel and refund me. I asked for some sort of confirmation of the cancellation. They cant do that and I just had to trust her and check my account. Of course no refund was issued and I had to call again today. I was told a manager would call me back (I doubt it). This is truly the worst company I have ever had to deal with.

The only trugreen we have is the countless number of weeds that have taken control of our yard. If missing scheduled days was an Olympic sport, TruGreen would be the gold medalist. If their customer service was graded by the number of times they say Im sorry we missed again, we will schedule someone to be there in 48 to 72 hours, theyd all have full-ride scholarships to Harvard. If the company was run by politicians, yellow would be the new green! They care enough to call after missing 4 scheduled treatments to see if we wanted to upgrade to include tree and shrub treatment. That almost earned them another star.

Absolutely the worst company I have ever used for any service. I prepaid for the entire season back in April for lawn fertilization, pest control, and trees and shrubs. The came ONCE for each of those and two of them were back in April! We are now almost in the middle of July. What really set me off today is they were scheduled to come and do pest control. They texted and said they were close to arriving and than an hour later they texted me and said they wouldnt make it today. I logged into my account and they invoiced me for today! They flat out lied. I have cameras all over my property, they never showed! I talked to James Bueller (seemed nice and understanding) a customer rep out of a different state and he is issuing a refund. I paid almost $1,700 upfront and they will be issuing a refund for over $1,400. From the looks of the comments Ive read I wont hold my breathe. I will escalate this and take legal action if necessary. I have absolute proof they lied and were deceitful. I want my money back! Ifyou are reading this review STAY FAR AWAY from this company. Absolutely horrible communication, scheduling, customer service. I will end with this, the product to me actually works great, but they never show up and than lie about. Getting them to schedule you and show up is absolutely a Joke.

After having a contract with Trugreen since the wintertime, it is now July 23, 2021 and our lawn has never had more weeds. Trugreen has not been out to perform service since the first week of June. Half our yard is full of clover weeds. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN

What a horrible experience! Had some tall weeds growing in front lawn after they had done their spreading. Called to get them to come treat the weeds and 10 days later they finally said they would come...never showed up. Never using Trugreen again. Unreliable and not trustworthy. If I could, I would rate a -1.

Scam alert! Let me tell you about our experience. I signed up for treatments on both front and back yard (2800 sq ft). We were to be serviced every 7-10 weeks. The first service in May did the full yard and was great. The next one didnt happen until July (well after 10 weeks). The men drove up and were gone in about 5 minutes. They sprayed the front yard, but did not do the back. I confronted them, but they insisted the back was not included and drove off. I called their office immediately and was told that my backyard absolutely was included, and that this was a misunderstanding. The lady claimed she would send a technician back sometime that week to do the backyard. Fast forward 2 weeks to today. The technician (Hayden L) shows up and leaves in under a minute. I received a receipt that claimed that they didnt need to do anything and if I wanted my backyard done, I needed to sign up for the extra service. My husband called. This is where it gets infuriating. The customer service rep, Jay, informed my husband that our front yard was 2800 sq ft (we measured; its 1100 sq ft). Jay then straight lied and told my husband that I had called at some point today. I did not. He refused to put my husband on with a manager. My husband asked him to cancel the account, and Jay let us know that there would be no refund. Thats nearly 320 dollars we are out. And thats where we are. Were contacting a lawyer, and in the meantime, I will be posting this everywhere you have an online presence, as well as filing a complaint with the BBB and the relevant Utah authorities. Do not contract with this company.

We hired TruGreen at the end of April 2021. They came and sprayed and stated they would contact us in 4-6 weeks to schedule the next treatment. 8 weeks later I had to call them three times to get them to finally come out and treat our lawn again. During that call, the service rep agreed to wave the cost of the second treatment and set up our account to be treated every 4 weeks. 7 weeks later we still havent heard from them. On top of that, we received a bill for the second treatment, even though they said they would wave the cost. Thankfully, they did wave the cost after I called and complained again. And, like other reviewers Ive seen here, my lawn is now covered in clovers, which weve never had before. I do NOT recommend this unreliable and highly unprofessional company, and will never use them again.

I am only rating this a one star because I cant give them zero stars... This company is a JOKE. My husband called them in March after getting a flyer in the mail advertising 50% off of their normal prices if you call that month. We needed some help with our lawn (too many weeds, it was growing too thin, we wondered if we had bugs?), so we thought it would be a good idea. When my husband called, he was told that they would come out once a month for the next six months to apply certain chemicals and fertilizer to the lawn to help it grown more healthily. This sounded great! The downside... 50% of the regular price was $392.62!!! That was crazy! We paid it, hoping for the best, but we have had no great results to show for it. I am attaching a picture of my lawn in August (so four months into this process). Note the lack of grass (dead grass) and the weeds/flowers in my lawn. A couple other things... They never came on their own. In order to get them to come monthly, we had to instigate the visit EVERY TIME. And they have no customer service phone number, so you have to wait to chat with them within the app, and there were multiple times where their office closed while we were in the queue to chat with someone, so we were dropped from the queue and had to start again another day. The first time they came out, we wanted to talk to them about their plans, what they were going to do, etc., so we wanted to be home when they came. They never called to arrange a time, so when they showed up, I saw them outside and went outside to chat with them. When I went outside, the worker was fertilizing my lawn with one hand, while smoking a cigarette with the other. When he saw me coming, he threw his cigarette ON MY LAWN, and stomped on it to put it out. Im sure that definitely helped my lawns health. Bottom line- they came out six times, once each month, which I had to initiate, with really no change from what my yard looked like last summer. Really all they did was fertilize for me each month for nearly $400. SAVE YOURSELF $400 AND GO TO IFA AND BUY YOUR OWN FERTILIZER!

Our lawn had some spots that needed a little help and we had some morning glory start coming up. We decided why not bring in the professionals and really wish we hadnt. We had consistent issues with applications being done at the wrong house, got billed for additional services that they just added on, and I had to call multiple times to get them to cancel my account(the person that finally processed the cancellation was the only helpful person I ever talked to). After a year of service my lawn looks worse than ever. I shouldve just spent my own time to do things properly.

Had nothing but problems with from the start the service people was good but the office people dont know what there doing!

The professional that came out today looked at the grass and said looks good to me.Then asked if I minded that he ran his hose over our two vehicles parked in the driveway. Literally 10 lawns you can see around me are crazy better looking. Weve lived here over 15 years, and since trugreen took over last year. Its never looked worse. This was after I phoned days ago, and expressed my concern about the quality of the service Im receiving, and was assured that they would send their best guy out and get it corrected. Best guy wants to run his fertilizer hose over about $40k in vehicles. What a joke.

Told me what I was going to get out of all my applications and included air ration then when they didn t do it made them listen to the phone call and then didn t stand by their mistake of tell me it all was included in my application price

The HOA board hired TruGreen for our town home community and I was not impressed! They drove a huge fertilizer spreader behind and down the side of our house between our flower beds and rock wall which was not a big enough space for the machine and destroyed our bushes, flowers and damaged all of the concrete curbing by driving up over it into our flower beds. They then tried shoving all of the bushes and plants they demolished behind other things in the flower bed. I was not happy when I went out and saw what they did.

Phones work just fine when they call to sell you something.. Not so much when I need them to call before they come.

Called to see about lawn service and was told with the coupon I would pay 47.45 for my first spray and then we would go from there. They came sprayed and then charged my bank 144.35 please beware of the hidden cost they don t tell you about. Even got an email with what my one time charge would be and they still charged me 96.90 more. Please be careful with this company!!

Set up service with them , and they kept rescheduling without letting me know . Just canceled the service before I even started it.

I used to use TruGreen until they came one time in 2019 when I was out of town. I knew they arrived because of a notification from my doorbell camera. I then checked my backyard camera to make sure they closed my gate. The problem was that the gate never was opened. After 4 minutes of initially arriving at my house, the TruGreen worker left their service order on my front door saying they sprayed my entire yard, even though my cameras told a different story. (My backyard camera is not a motion camera, but rather always recording, so its not like it missed seeing the worker)

Please read through the reviews before you do anything. I didnt read them until after they charged my account for a service that was not done. And after conversations that basically were accusing me of lying, yes maybe they did do someone else is yard but they charged my account. Now they have my information and I guess can charge me for someone else is lawn care. I am so mad! Their customer service is terrible. Instead of checking with the person who said they came out they made me feel like S**T. Dont use them.

My husband emailed y all last weekend. I emailed a few days later. You lost our business to weed man, who returned my call the next day.

I am having trouble with morning glory in my lawn. I called TruGreen to see if they had options to treat it. The representative on the phone just laughed at me and argued with me saying it was a flower and not a weed. He continued to just laugh so I told him that was not the way to treat a potential customer and hung up. It was extremely unprofessional and rude. TruGreen will definitely not be getting my business, nor anyone I can talk to. It is especially disappointing because I had used them in the past and was looking to do so again. Not now.

We have used TruGreen for a couple of years now. Each year they promised the weeds in our lawn would be gone by the next season. They have continued to spread through the grass with no sign of slowing. We have also used them for pest control. Im not sure what chemical they used this last time but all the flowers in my flower beds are now dieing as well as big patches of grass. After the years Ive put into my flower beds they now look like garbage thanks to this professional lawn maintenance company.

Negative 10 Stars* Oh just wait for the grand finale of this review! I asked them to only come on Mondays especially for the 1st visit so my husband and I could ask our questions and have a consultation. They came on the Friday before instead without a call or text. I came home to papers they left on my door, so I called and asked what services they did on my lawn. The lady I spoke to said they treated my front lawn for weeds. They were only supposed to treat my backyard btw. Later in the day I realize they stuck one of their TruGreen flag things in my backyard. I thought okay great, they treated the backyard. EXCEPT they sprayed while my puppy was back there AND they didnt close the side gate so my dog RAN AWAY! Im grateful some kids in the neighborhood found her and knew where she lived and put her back in my yard. But Im very upset with every aspect of their service. 10 out of 10 I do not recommend TruGreen. There response was a poor Im sorry and tried to convince me to keep my account with them. Yeah, absolutely not.

The service was on time and friendly and overall our lawn is green, healthy, and relatively weed free. We hired true green to deal with lawn grubs in the spring. We now have sever damage to our back lawn due to grub worms and true green is now recommending we pay them more money to dethatch and reseed the dead spots. Thanks, but no thanks.

My lawn looks worse than ever. Customer service is awful. Called on Aug 20 and they said they couldnt come until Aug 31. They did not show up. Called on Sept 2 and they said the earliest time they could come is Sept 10. So they came on Sept 10 but did not have the Revive treatment, and the service persons tablet was broken so he couldnt schedule a time for the treatment. I do not recommend TruGreen. Its frustrating to pay for lawn service and have such terrible customer service.

B4 the end of the season ur gonna wanna get ur lawn care for by these professionals. The have the best mixture of herbacide or whatever it is they spray , that it brought my lawn to life practically over night. Thanks fellas , appreciate it.

Whether its the local Tru Green not getting it right, or the Call Center that cant, Ive completely had it with them. This is my 3rd year paying for service, and this year has been absolutely the worst service and results on my lawn. Why am I paying them for weeds to not be killed? Why do they regularly not show up on the day they say is my next scheduled service online? Why do they sometimes not show up even when I get an automated phone call the day before? Spot spraying my weeds is not effective, and when Im told they will come out and blanket spray my lawn with a hose to kill weeds, and it doesnt happen, why? Stop wasting my time, but mostly, my $$. Ive put a lot of time and effort into my yard since I moved in 3 years ago, and want it to look good. Fertilization and weed control is part of that. They want me to consider having them fertilize my plants and trees? I dont think so. I can do a better job myself, and will plan to next year. IFA, here I come to try your products.

They ve missed appointments without prior notice and have left our front lawn destroyed / brown (we think it s from grubs). They recently came out to seed / aerate and didn t even mention the massive dead spot in our lawn. Our lack of trust in this company is so extensive that we won t even ask them to reseed the dead area they missed for free - I d rather pay full price for a competent company to come evaluate and fix. Find another option. Looks like Green Grounds has great reviews.

BEWARE! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. We put in a new yard this summer and hired TruGreen to help us take care of it. From the very beginning we had no shows but were still charged for the service. We also signed up for the mosquito defense and the trees and shrubs service. For months, I was convinced these guys weren t doing anything but couldn t prove it, all the while being charged a couple of hundred dollars a month for these services. Well, I finally got them! On my doorbell camera, it shows their truck pulling up in front of my house, sitting there for a couple of minutes, then they threw the yard sign out the window into the grass and left! I then got a charge for $170! This company robbed us and lied to us multiple times. I would NEVER recommend them.

West Jordan TruGreen provides fertilization, weed and pest control services at our home. They have been excellent and timely and I would heartily recommend them for the quality of their services and their personnel. We had a question about the color of parts of our lawn and they sent someone to inspect our lawn the next day. High quality services, great company and great people! Our lawn has never looked this good!!

Our neighbor uses this service and we were home one day and they sprayed our house by mistake. Big mistake because we have animals, fruit trees, garden, strawberries, and rhubarb. We didnt know they did it until my kids, rabbit, dog had already been running around in the chemicals. Called the company and they wouldnt even tell me what was in the spray until the next day. They didnt seem to care we all got headaches and felt sick. Poison control was very concerned but they wouldnt even give us their insurance so we could go to the doctor to get checked out. Everything edible was ruined in our garden this year and they have done nothing. They wont take responsibility and I even have them on my security cameras doing the spray. I think taking them to court is my only recourse. I would definitely not recommend this company and their service. My family definitely had a chemical headaches from their spray and they definitely dont care about people, customer or not.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR SERVICES! Billing is horrible! We called to stop services and they still came out and are charging us. They sent us to collections even though we canceled. So we have to eat the bill. Horrible and very rude customer service! Don t do it!!!

Do not use this service. I signed up for a 1 year contract and canceled the next year. They proceeded to bill me for that entire year and kept doing the service. This year I received a notification that I was scheduled for another service (Tomorrow) although I said I canceled the service last year. They proceeded to tell me I didnt cancel it forever but just for the year...such a joke. Any company that does this should not be in business. I just got off the phone with customer service and she informed me that all of my services from now on have been canceled and I waited on the phone until I received an email notification explaining that everything has been canceled. For such a large national brand this is unreal. By reading everyone elses comments, it looks like everyone else is in the same boat as myself.

The guys at TruGreen are professional, polite, and always on time. Jay came last week to apply veg control spray on weeds that had come up on a rock hillside. He was thorough with a capital T. We are very impressed with the level of commitment both Jeremy and Jay show.

Maria did a great job!! I was home so I was able to share my concerns about my lawn with her. She answered all my questions and totally satisfied me about the lawn treatment she applied. Send Maria again and stop rotating the professionals you send. Armando

We had a sales rep come to our home to upsell our service. Not to treat our lawn but to simply upsell what we already had in place. He rang the doorbell and we did not answer. Next thing we know, he is walking around our backyard snooping and looking through our windows while my 7 yr old daughter was playing with her friends on her trampoline. My husband went out to confront him on why he was in our backyard unannounced and the rep told my husband that Trugreen Sales Reps can enter our entire property unannounced at their convenience. I called corporate and this is NOT true. The man was snooping and he lied. Our account has been cancelled because this rep told his manager that my husband had a weapon attached to his hip and threatened to use it on him. . what a joke..

If I could leave a Zero rating I would. Towards 3/4 of the year I paid for their service, nothing in my lawn had improved. They told me they d get rid of the grubs, the crab grass, even the tree shoots. They sent a specialist out to review, and even he said the lawn didn t look great, and took a sample of my grass back for analysis. Well, never heard back. They had the audacity of trying to go beyond my year and billed me for an extra service, until I called the office. The Manager came out and explained to me that basically everything they promised they could do for me was a lie. The type of crab grass you have, there s nothing on the market that will get rid of it . Amazing that info didn t come out until AFTER a year of service. When I asked for a refund because of their GUARANTEE, he refused. What the hell is a guarantee for? I will continue to tell anyone and everyone I know to stay away from this company and terrible service.

I am very pleased with my TruGreen lawn. Rick does a great job and keeps me informed of what my lawn needs to make it even better. We are working on the infested spot in the left center, meanwhile the rest looks great.

Hands down the worst company for taking care of weeds and fertilizing that exists. Im not one to write reviews. basically what you pay for is weed watering.... the weeds actually do better after theyve sprayed! SAD

Awful experience with this company. Technicians come and go and do an alright job, some don t bother on doing the work because everyone is gone during the day. Management is awful, obnoxious with the up-sell after never caring about the service. They wanted to aerate my lawn just because that s what golf courses do and they pretty grass, like I have a golf course at home. I would ve done it if they would have if Rick (or whatever his name is) had at least some customer service skills, instead of shoving his 15 years of experience. I would hire a guy with 1 year of experience if willing to treat people correctly.

Overall very please with service and the look of my lawn. As always, a few perimeter weeds that need tending but lawn looks great.

These people suck. That is the nicest thing I can say. The young man who sold us the service was terrific. The rest are the worse I have ever dealt with. Agreement since March 10th and still no service. Four different times scheduled four no shows. Always they will call if can t make it. I am pretty sure these idiots do not know how to use a phone. Finally called today cancelled and was told it would take 14 days to get my money back. Really yet they sure took my money fast. Have called Weedman to see what they are like Spread the word the only fertilizer Trugreen provides is. Well you know what I want to say Do not use them ever.

Wow! Why didnt i check the reviews before getting their service. Im sure it made some difference on the lawn but i still had lots of morning glory and other weeds. Apparently its the customers job to let them know bcuz their technicians must have their eyes closed while applying. I rarely leave negative reviews but when i called to talk to them, DENNIS, the customer service rep was so rude and condescending. I tried to get off the phone and he just kept going with his smart mouth and unprofessionalism. Done with this company because of him! And to add they showed up a few times on non z scheduled days, sprayed my back lawn with my dogs toys on the lawn and left the back gate open once. Dog toys arent cheep and i had to throw the 5 away bcuz i wasnt going to chance my dog getting sick or worse

Just started using these guys, first time out this year they left my back gate open. Let my dog outside to play and didn t notice the gate was still open, he ended up running onto a main road and was hit by a car. I m now about $1800 in medical bills for my dog. Wouldn t recommend.

They charge your credit card and then they just never show up to service your lawn. I was promised on four separate occasions that they would come to my home, and on four separate occasions nobody ever showed. Ive spent a lot of time on the phone with their customer service people (who are all very nice) but just cant ever get anybody out to my house. Really unbelievable, Ive never experienced anything like this before.

The services they provide are excellent, there is no mistake about the fact that my yard looks amazing. I cant stand the constant phone calls and drop-ins to try and upsell. If you try to cancel they ask you a million questions and transfer you around. I went out of town for a wedding and, my bad, forgot to all the not to come while I was away since my yard is currently being ripped apart but a sprinkler system install, and when they showed up they decided to spray anyway and charge my card. There is literally maybe 4 yards of grass showing.

Wish I could have given a zero. First, in all fairness, I should say that each of the agents I spoke to (there were many) at the national call center were all very polite and courteous. However, I prepaid for the TruHealth Lawn Plan which is supposed to include 5 fertilizing and weed control applications as well as bug control applications. I received one application in April, and since that time have had 4 no call, no show appointments. All I receive is a message in the TruGreen App that says sorry, we could not complete your application. please call us if you have any questions. My lawn has never looked so bad!! WHY? Because nobody will call me back from the Salt Lake office (by the way, there is no way to call anyone local which is also ridiculous), and nobody will come out and provide the services I pre-paid for. After 2 months of not showing up or calling, I finally get a call today, not to help me with my problem, but to try and upsell me with a mosquito application. REALLY??? Why on earth would I pay more money for an additional service when you cannot even come out and perform the services I already paid you for 2 months ago?

I own a rental home that was having a few problems with grubs and weeds. Nothing serious so I signed up and paid for a full year in advance. I told them specifically I did not want to continue after 2017. The treatments were WAY more expensive than doing it myself, and honestly, the lawn did not improve. Truegreen kept calling me during the year to try up-sell me on additional services that I did not want or need. Honestly it was really annoying. This year, they said they came by and did a treatment. I did not authorize any additional treatment but that didnt stop them from billing me. They kept sending the bill to the rental home, and it kept getting returned, so I didnt get anything. They did however call me to tell me I owe them money. I have now spent MANY fruitless phone calls talking to representatives. They have canceled all future treatments but still say I owe them $60. I call shenanigans. Save yourself a lot of stress and DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

The name should be more like tru YELLOW, not only can they not get rid of a few weeds but will actually turn your grass from green to yellow. We gave them 3 months to make the lawn look better but actually don t think this location has competent lawn experts. We had them come out And access the lawn several times but with every one of the applications it lawn got more weeds. My wife signed up for their weed service. Its been months and they havent shown. Our lawn is about 90% weeds now. Horrid company.

After completing the 1 year service contract they continued to charge me without request or notification. When I finally realized I was still being charged I called to pay the bill and close out my account and was assured that I payed the charges due. Now Im receiving collection notices from an agency saying that I still havent paid everything. Theres a reason you have such a poor rating and are receiving a poor reputation...get it fixed, I will not have yours damage mine

Have had Trugreen out a few times and each time they barely spray anything and claim to do services they don t. They are a total scam. They rid no weeds and they doubled billed us last month for absolutely nothing. Horrible! I would never recommend them! We have out of control weeds. These guys don t know what they re doing! I live in Utah county area! Beware and never use!!

There should be a zero as a rating choice. We have been longtime Trugreen customers in Minnesota for over 30 years. We recently relocated to Utah and I sent an email inquiring about potential lawn service for our new home. I received a phone call today from a rep at corporate headquarters. He tried to strong arm me into more services than I wanted by raising the price of each visit. He also tried to pressure me into prepaying. When I said that we would need to compare Trugreen s offer to other potential companies, he hung up on me while I was still talking. Hung. Up. On. Me. Thanks, buddy, you just made my search that much easier.

This is a follow up from a previous, 1-star review. After posting our negative experience (lack of communication, chemically burned lawn, inexperience, etc) we had a branch manager, Jeff contact us and leave a message. He promised to re-sod our lawn that his crew chemically burned, 2 months ago. His employee called and set up a date to perform the work which was to be last Friday, the 31st. As expected, TruGreen was a no-show that day and did not contact us with any notification. The phone number of the manager I was given (vs the only available contact for us - National Call Center) does not work. Still waiting for resolution on the 2,000 sq feet of lawn they destroyed.

Why did I not listen to the reviews, absolutely the worst company Ive ever dealt with got a flyer in the mail that it Would-be $30 to come check my lawn to see what was wrong and when they left they charged me over a $100 my lawn still looks terrible have called multiple times they say theyll have someone come out they never show and no one ever calls us back!! If I could choose 0 I would!!

I suffered along with these guys for 2 years. I had brown spot after brown spot, all kinds of crazy weeds popping up everywhere. They killed a 3X3 section of my lawn with over fertilizing. Kept telling me I had grubs but never really communicated with me about why things were happening. Finally just very fed up with them telling me that the weeds were going crazy this year. Why the heck to I pay you to take care of weeds and then you dont. I cancelled by service via email last fall, they called me today to confirm my appt for tomorrow. Had to call and cancel again. Not a good experience, never going back to them.

STAY AWAY! They have very friendly and aggressive sales on the phone but no service to follow it up with. I simply wanted my lawn to be green and weed free. They killed large parts of my grass, and flower garden, and refused to come back and meet me at my home. Do not sign up for a service contract, do not sign up for service.

I was not going to write a review but now I feel obligated to warn people about this company (Scotts Lawn Service). I called to set up a monthly service where they would fertilize/weed control my lawn. They said in one week they would have a service tech come to my house. I told them to call me day before or day of because I had some questions for service tech. One week and 5 days later I get an email that says they serviced my lawn and are charging my credit card. But I had not received a phone call day before or day of. Also when they spray, they are suppose to put up signs that warn people & pets to stay off grass because it can be dangerous. Their was no signs or invoice or nothing that showed that they had come. So I called their office to see what was going on and they said they would have someone call me back with more info. No call back or nothing, so I called their office again and said to cancel my service. Now (1 Month later) I get another email that they are charging my credit card again. Looks like they never canceled my account. So now I have to file a dispute with my credit card company because I cant trust what Scotts Lawn Service tells me. You would think a manager would follow up with me and figure out what was going on, but no, nothing. Be warned people, dont take their word for anything they say.

We asked for this service to treat our lawn for a specific weed and they said they could but they did not get rid of it. I did not pay the bill due to their service not being what they said it would be and when I called to complain they said they would have a rep contact me to make it right. No contact by a representative just a letter from a collection agency 2 weeks later, the first one I have ever received in my 57 years. I paid the bill and figured I had to let others know of the bad service.

Awful service... Called several times to cancel, they continued to bill me and didnt even come out and do the work.

As mentioned by another individual somewhere on this review list, I have serious doubts anything was done. The aeration was literally 1/4 deep and very spotty. I could have probably done more with my thumb. On the grub application, the Scotts van was in front of my house for no more than 10 minutes to apply this chemical on the front, back and side yards that was fenced in with a gate over .20 acres.....I dont think so. To top it off, they left the back gate open and my dog got out when I specifically told the salesman that if they were going to come by and open the gate to give me a call or to make sure the gate was locked...neither was done...and I WAS HOME..not even a knock. I cancelled the rest of the season. Ill just do it myself... If you want to add insult to injury, when I called to cancel they girl on the phone sounded very sweet and genuinely empathetic about my situation but I wasnt offered a discount or refund or anything so Im not sure they even empower her to make up for their bullshit, which is unfortunate because she sounded too nice to have to deal with pissed off home owners.

you should have no right doing service on a home with out the owners knowledge or approve. and then charge her $82.00 she did not want this done .you take advantage of the elderly. I call to tell you guys what happened and you offer me 20 % discount. what you should do is take it all off and not do service unless it is asked for you to do so ..she did not hire you or ask .. she should not have to pay for this ..

The first tech was good but after that the service sucked they dont spend time on your lawn they just rush through I know you have a lot of account and customers to have to get to but take your time and do your job right, every other time I call a get this lady named Margery or whoever that is rude and have no clue of what Im trying to explain like she is trying to rush you off the phone its like she is not even trying to understand what Im explaining, but Tom line is they treat you good to sicker you in then treat you like cap when your spending you hard earned money. Very sad

Been with Scotts for 2+ years. They sprayed the other day and burned my lawn. The reason I dont do my own fertilizing is that I sometimes burn the lawn and I wanted a professional that wouldnt do that. When I called them about it, they came out and said: It looks like we burned your lawn with fertilizer. The best thing to do at this point is heavily water it for the next couple weeks and it should fully bounce back. We are sorry for the mishap. No offer of any discount, just a written note on my door. So, now I have an ugly lawn and have to spend more money on watering.

I thought I had the service paid up but I am billed an additional $10.08. Ive emailed to find out about the bill but had no response, except auto reply to say they will reply. So I emailed to them and asked them to cancel the service, and have had no reply . . . except the same auto reply. Will the provide more service; charging more that Im expected to pay? Will they ever respond (thats also a part of service)? Stay tuned. Paul Gibson *UPDATE* The day after my 2 star review, Scotts attempted to contact me. They still didnt contact me via e-mail like I had asked so I had to call them back. They agreed to the error and removed the $10.08 charge. I agreed to sign up with them again next spring. They apologized for their e-mail issues. Well see how they do.

I had several friends recommend Scotts to me and I tried it. I wasnt crazy about their service, but wasnt unhappy with it either. I asked them to come on Thursdays when I could be home and they never did. After a year or two with them my husband wanted to take care of the lawn himself so we canceled Scotts service. This was a couple of years ago. Since then I have received over a dozen calls from Scotts offering new services and trying to get me to sign back up. I have asked them each time to take me off their call list, but I still get calls every couple of months. If you sign up with them and later cancel, they will NEVER leave you alone!

I moved from Herriman ( and used Trugreen) to Riverton this year and received a better price through Scotts. I really have not been to happy at all. I have dogs so I scheduled certain times so they would not be in the way of the tech. There were times I would receive the automated calls from Scotts for sevice and the tech did not show up and then I would have to call the office to reschedule and they would then come out a couple of week later. I also question if some services were performed, no calls , no paper work then a bill would show up ( I had prepaid at the begging of spring to save $ ). Lack of communication is very poor on their end. For these reasons I`m going back to Trugreen. David - Riverton UT

We paid $600.00 for what we have always paid $199.00 for from a private contractor in Utah County. We expected this service would be at least equal to his service. We contracted for at least 6 applications during the summer months. So far - as of the end of July we have received 2 applications. Our grass is developing patches of crab grass, a small purple leaf weed that looks like clover and tons of broad leaf flowers that are growing in the lawn. We even had a whole patch of johnny jump ups growing right in the middle of our grass. I called and talked to someone and they said that they would send a manager out to look at the lawn - that was a week ago and we have not heard one word on that service. We feel that we should be able to get a HUGE refund since the service that we paid for has not produced one outcome that was promised when we contracted with Scotts.
