My father has been ill for months. I called to schedule a yard clean up for him and they told me they couldnt help me because my yard was overgrown. These people only want to maintain what is already neat and tidy. They cannot handle larger lawns or projects. For a well reputed lawn care company in LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK? Terrible.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY> UNPROFESSIONAL AND NO COMMUNICATION! Francisco, you can try to justify this as much as you like but your behavior and lack of response was inexcusable. I called and texted multiple times. Your thank you for the approval was not useless; YOU LACK FOLLOW-UP AND PROFESSIONALISM. Families will settle for your business because there are more lawns than there are lawn service businesses to take care of them. So we have no choice but to settle for your everyday mediocracy. But what we dont have to settle for is your disrespect. Francisco came to our home on Sunday, March 10, 2024 for an estimate of our property for a proposal. We received a proposal 5 days later, March 15. We negotiated a few items and was sent a revised proposal on the 16th and 18th. When we had met with Francisco on the 10th during the estimate, I had mentioned to him that I would be going into surgery towards the end of the month, and that we wanted to get everything in place because it was the start of the 2024 season and needed to let our current landscaper know that we were not renewing our contract. After we had received the last proposal, I texted him to let him know to move forward. THEN I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. We let our existing landscaper go right before I went into surgery, 3/20. I spent 4 days in the hospital and a week at home in recovery and texted him on 4/10 (and called him repeatedly) to let him know that I was back from surgery, and to please let me know the status, wed like to move ahead. The front yard was now looking horrendous. I texted and called again (multiple times) on 4/19, when he finally responded that night to tell me, (EXACT TEXT) Thanks for the approval. Id like as if you could allow me until next week to confirm. This, to me, meant to give him until next week to fit us into his schedule, to confirm the schedule. I waited until that Friday and asked if he had any confirmation for the schedule, since there was NO communication since the 19th. Francisco did not get back to me until the 28th, only to tell me that he is booked for the season and cannot fit me into the schedule. No communication from 4/10 to 4/19 to tell me that he couldnt take us as clients. And then waited until the 28th to let me know. 18 DAYS!!! We reached out to him based on recommendations from our next door neighbors. NEXT DOOR. Not across the street, not around the corner. Our neighbors who we see from out of our kitchen window. The same neighbors who initially reported good service and have admitted that his communication is unprofessional, and in this case has left my front yard in a manor that is subject to town fines! Our property only has grass to be cut in the front yard. His attitude and unwillingness to accept the fact that he dropped the ball is arrogant and disgusting. He lacks the maturity to manage customers and the skills to run a business.

We switched to Francisco and his team three years ago, when my prior company would just come, mow and leave with little attention to detail. From the first time I met with him, I was immediately impressed with the level of service he was offering. Each week in addition to a simple mow, there is edging, deadheading and all the general maintenance many companies would consider extra. From weekly service to a large hedge and azalea install he did for us, Ive always been impressed with the outcome and level of professionalism of his entire team. I would highly recommend Francisco and his team.

Called to try an set up a meeting for an estimate. Since theyre in W. Hempstead, and our location in S. Hempstead, seemed like the perfect, local choice. When I spoke to Francisco, and told him the location, he seemed to be looking for excuses as to why he couldnt take a look at the property. Sounded to me like he was doing a Google map search, and saw that it was a fairly small property. One that wouldnt yield BIG dollars, and thus, not worth his time. He actually said that; I dont go there, coz I dont have business in the area. HUH?! Well, IF thats true, wouldnt you have to make someone your FIRST customer in a particular area, to get business going in the neighborhood?! Wow! I guess they only do BIG properties, because he can make more money. Things must be SO GOOD for DTLS, that even in this economy, he can afford to TURN DOWN potential business. What a business model. Laughable.

Francisco and his team are amazing. I recommend them for all your landscaping needs. They do our weekly maintenance, snow removal and this year they worked with us on a landscaping design change.

Francisco is a gem and very pleasant person to work with. He replaced all my shrubs in the front of my house which needed a total makeover. The end results are just beautiful...he is professional and he is very knowledgeable. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

After a frustrating experience with our previous landscaping guy we decided to hire Francisco. Since the first day on the job he has thoroughly maintained our lawn and surrounding areas. He is very formal with all of his proposals, he texts updates and points out when our lawn needs attention. We removed a rotten deck from our yard and he installed new sod for us. Everything looks beautiful. We like his character and how he cares about his job. During the summer we had an unexpected event that prevented us from spending money on removal of dead hedge trees behind our house. He knew we were interested in doing that for quite some time so as courtesy he removed the dead trees. I wasnt expecting this kind of commitment, usually people dont do things for free, he even got stung by a bee during removal. For all the above reasons we have to recommend Francisco, he is committed, he cares and he does a wonderful job. The best landscaping guy for sure!

As a business person and long-time negotiator of building contract services, I can be a bit tough to deal with at times and have very high expectations for those contractors in which I award jobs to; particularly on my own home. One individual who has exceeded my expectations is Francisco Diaz. Francisco is a very organized, detail oriented, caring and respectful person and a consummate professional as well. His crew comes promptly every Saturday morning (if it is not raining) and maintains my lawn with the utmost of care at a very reasonable price. Although Franciscos crew is quite able to perform well without him there, I often notice that Francisco is there, on his hands and knees, pulling weeds, re-positioning plants and making sure those small, but important details are not missed. So on August 23, 2017 I contacted this company to come out to my home since we had plans to completely redo the landscaping. I spoke to Mr. Diaz who informed me that he would come to the home on Sunday, August 26, 2017 to assess the lawn. Aug, 26th came and went and no one showed up or called. I sent a text message to Mr. Diaz on Aug. 29th to see if we could reschedule. He informed me that his schedule has been a bit crazy and suggested rescheduling on Saturday at 8am on September 2nd. On Sept. 1st, I text Mr. Diaz to confirm out meeting at my home for 8am on the 2nd. He confirmed the date and time and thanked me for reaching out. On Sept. 2nd, I received a text at 7:51 am stating that he was not only running behind schedule but got into a small fender bender but he should be at the home by 8:30 am. No problem. We showed for the meeting, my fiancee and I toured him around the property and articulated a few ideas of what we wanted. Mr. Diaz said that he would draft up a sketch/landscaping plan and email it to us in a week. It is now September 13th. We received absolutely no email, phone call, or text message regarding our landscaping plan. Just before writing this review, I text him how disappointed we were about the lack of communication and follow-up and to tell him we would be using someone elses services and that he was to delete any photos he has taken of our home for the landscaping sketch/plan. He apologized for the miscommunication after we met and informed me that he had a transmission issue and his truck went south. He assured us that he would delete the photos. There was no miscommunication. There was no communication at all. I dont have the time to chase landscaping companies down. I wanted to use them because of their great star reviews, but if they cant even organize themselves to respond and follow-through then its quite pointless. Wasted my time.
