For the past two years, Mike and his team have provided regular lawn mowing and seasonal clean-up for my home. I’ve always been pleased with their services, so this fall, I decided to book them for additional projects like cleaning and staining my deck, front yard landscaping redesign, fresh mulch application, removal of large tree limbs, and installing grass in an area of my backyard that had been cleared years ago for a small playground. Initially, I was a bit nervous about the landscaping project because I’m not very familiar with the process or gardening in general. However, Mike did an excellent job guiding me through every step. I shared my vision with him, and he made recommendations based on what would best suit my needs. He provided different options and involved me in the final installation decisions. The end result turned out even better than I had imagined. Mike’s choices for plants and ornamental grasses were perfect, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome or the price! My deck looks amazing too! Mike and his team take great pride in their work, going above and beyond to ensure I was 100% satisfied. I’ve received numerous compliments on my yard, and Mike even took the time to teach me how to care for the new plants and grass, following up to make sure everything is thriving. It’s been a pleasure working with Mike and his team over the past two years, especially this season. They’re reliable, thorough, professional, and their work is high quality. I will definitely choose Aiken Landscaping for future projects!
I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with Aiken Landscaping. I had trees put in as well as new landscaping around a new lamp post, which I absolutely love!! Trimming bushes was also a part of this project as well as lawn treatment. Mike helped & advised me on other work that I needed to have done which I totally appreciated. He was spot on with all his suggestions. Just recently I had to call him for work that I needed done ASAP and he came within a few days despite his busy schedule. Again, I would highly recommend this company. It is hard today to find someone who is not about just what is on paper, but who goes beyond and takes that extra step.
Honestly one of the best and most reliable landscapers I've ever worked with. Mike has handled all my landscaping at my property, and offered to help with other services. He did a great job on a patio in my backyard, and would routinely check on the patio to make sure there were no problems coming up (and he fixed a couple he found). It's been a pleasure working with him and his crew, highly recommended.
All I knew was that I wanted my home look better. Improved curb appeal, easy to maintain and a mix of year around greenery and blooms. Mike came and spoke WITH me, not at me. We discussed what could be and he included me in the journey as it was coming together. Him and his crew are all so kind, pretty funny and without a doubt hard working. We needed clean out, whole new bed and stone work done and he did it all. A hidden plus is the care Mike takes in informing you of how to best take care of your investment. I’d highly recommend this company for all your stone work and landscaping needs at a competitive price.
This is my second season working with Mike and I am quite pleased to have him back. Last year we focused on mainly clean up and maintenance in my new home. This year I am having him back for grub control and lawn beautification! He is always there when he says he will be, great communication and he is paid easily through Venmo. I'm a busy single mom with a live in elderly parent and Mike and his guys have made my life a little easier!!
I have been living in New Haven for 45 years and employed almost a dozen landscape services. Aiken is by far the best.In lawn maintenance, Mike knows that weekly cutting can kill the grass and he never comes just to keep his guys busy. He was able to restart a golf-course beautiful lawn when others just mowed the crabgrass and weed. In landscaping, he knows his bushes—what to plant, what is right for a particular location, and when it is best to do the work. He is considerate and does not impose his taste on his clients. He has been giving us top quality service—and for less than I’ve paid inferior companies.
My property was so overgrown with weeds and trees that I didn’t know where to begin. I hired Aiken Landscaping to come in and tackle it. Wow! What a difference. Now, I’m not embarrassed when I pull into my driveway. They turned my eyesore of a home into something my neighbors can enjoy looking at. And they did the work at an extremely competitive price. I’m definitely using them year after year.

Mike was able to put off coming until the plants I ordered finally arrived. He and his crew made my yard look amazing. I mostly needed clean up, mulching and weeding and he did a great job. He also cleaned up after himself when he was done. 10/10 would hire him again.

We have been using Aiken Landscaping for quite a while. This year, with the damage from Isaias, we found ourselves in need of much more from Mike. The wind and salt did a number on our yard and landscaping. Mike was able to come in, clean up and re-plant our entire property, taking it back to where it should be. He listened as to what we wanted and made it happen all in a timely fashion, and was there when he said he would be. What a treat to know he cared about what we wanted. I highly recommend Mike to anyone needing some landscaping done at their home or business.

We now have beautiful landscaping and a green new lawn at a very reasonable price on top of that !!! The front yard is all done and now that we know what a great job they do we are definitely going to hire them for the backyard !!!
