Poison Ivy Plus in West Harrison

This is a follow-up to my initial review, which was very positive for good reason. But unfortunately the follow-up has not been good. Three weeks after the work was done, I found a small amount of poison ivy remaining. As there had been a significant amount to be removed, it looked to me like they had missed a couple of spots which, given the amount removed, wasn't surprising. But when I called to ask them to come back to take care of what had been overlooked, problems began. First I was told that this is why they have maintenance plans, and I responded that a) I was told that they wouldn't need to come back for a year or two, and b) 3 weeks after the job is not a maintenance plan, it's an understandable oversight. Then I was told that because I live in Queens, it was too far to come for such a small job. Then the owner told me that he himself would come later in the fall. None of that ever occurred, despite several calls and texts on my part, so I'm left to deal with it myself. Good initial job, terrible follow-up. Original post: Everything was great. Communicating with Eddie beforehand and figuring out what needed to be done was simple and efficient. To be honest, the crew came later than I had anticipated and a call to me to let me know ahead of time would have been helpful, but when they came they did everything that I had requested. They took out a lot of poison ivy in my backyard and especially in my neighbor's. They also trimmed a mid-sized tree that badly needed cutting back, as well as a few other small odds and ends. I was very impressed not only with the workmanship but also with how communicative they were with me throughout the whole job.

Once I discovered poison Ivy in my backyard, I started to realize it was all over! They took care of all of it (as well as did some other yard work I needed). My kids are grateful to have their yard back just in time for summer. They did a great job, showed up on time and did everything I needed.

This is my second time hiring these guys to come help out with poison ivy. The first time they did a great job basically eradicating it, and they just came recently because I thought I saw some. I turns it out that it wasn’t even poison ivy, but they did do an excellent job weeding and cleaning our garden! We have a large house with a large garden and they were able to take care of it for a good price within a couple hours. Always happy to do business with these people 😊❤️

Eddie's team was fantastic and completely professional. Showed up ready to work, and spent the entire day ridding our property of a large poison ivy infestation. They did a great job respecting the landscaping - some of the poison ivy was wrapped around established bushes we wanted to preserve - and got rid of every last bit of it. Chris, the foreman, was friendly and accommodating - he and his crew even removed a large invasive vine that was choking one of our trees, along with large patches of weeds. I would definitely recommend Eddie and his team!

When he came to do the inspection he identified several spots of poison ivy, and said that I'd pay for however much of the time as they used, but that their full day rate was $1200 (which turned out to be $1,500 after additional fees). The team got here, worked for three hours and left, missing several noticeable patches of poison ivy, such as the one in the photo I attached. I texted to complain, both about being charged the full day price for less than half a day's work, as well as his team not even finishing the job. He eventually sent them back to get the spots they missed, but refused to budge on the price, claiming I was so far away that they had to charge the full day rate regardless of how much time was spent (I live in Westchester also, less than 30 minutes away). He tried repeatedly to convince me that this was worthwhile because he'd be returning later in case they missed even more spots, and also tried to suggest I use his team to do small chores around my yard to use up the additional time. Bottom line was we agreed on a pricing structure and then he lied and forced me to pay more than we agreed upon. They got rid of the poison ivy, but I feel deceived and taken advantage of. Don't use these guys unless you have a full day's worth of poison ivy to remove, because that's what he's going to try charge you, no matter what.

Eddie and his crew were absolutely amazing. They were super meticulous and extremely accommodating to my yards needs. Not the typical wham bam thank you mam landscaping crew. After a grueling three days of work my yard looks like botanical gardens. THANK YOU GUYS and will definitely be using you guys again and will 100% recommend to all my friends and family.

First experience with Eddie and his team and it will definitely not be my last. They were on-time, professional, and informative. They walked us through their process and did a fantastic job! I would recommend him to anyone who needs poison ivy removal and vegetation management.
