Busy Bee is the best! Brandon was professional, pleasant, and most importantly, competent. My husband and I are still in awe of how he located our irrigation problem, dug up the line, fixed the problem and then replaced the sod as if it had never been disturbed! In addition he fixed valves, replaced broken sprinkler heads, and redirected the spray in all 11 zones and for a reasonable price! Service person came out 4/27/23. I had an existing sprinkler head replaced. It was not adjusted to target grass area. I wouldve hope this was addressed during replacement. I called & left message on 4/28/23@ 4:30 pm. I missed their returned call on 5/1/23 @ 12:00, I called them back at 12:41(got their voicemail. ...never to hear back. As is stands this is poor customer service. I was charged a $65 Technical service time and $85 tune up fee. As well as for miscellaneous questionable work that was done. Im give a star because he showed up. Update 5/18/23. A huge shout out! After this post, I received a call back addressing my concerns. I am on the schedule for another service person to come out. (next week!) I will definitely post an update of the outcome. It meant everything get a response. Update 5/31/23. I left a voice message (today) regarding your 5/27/23 response. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Update 6/7/23*********************************************** This Company did exactly what they said. They reached and address my concerns and beyond. I called to have two sprinklers moved. The tech told me the job would cost $200-$300. I was not home when he came. He was here for about an hour and fifteen minutes and charged $400, which my wife paid. I reached out to the tech and the company to inquire about why they charged so much and neither responded. I do not appreciate being overcharged and ignored. Moreover, the sprinklers he moved now sit well above the lawn because he did not dig deep enough so I have to fix myself.

I would recommend this company for Donnies service alone. Hes personable and was able to give me a quote and schedule immediately. They showed up on time and even finished a day early! They installed an entire sprinkler system and laid some sod. They left my house clean and tidy.... you couldnt even tell they had been there. Excellent Service from the start! Imagine my dismay when I turned my system on to wet the lawn before fertilizing to find minor issues in several zones. I contacted the landscaping company my builder used years ago, and they recommended Busy Bee. The person I spoke to was super nice and professional (can t remember her name). Her earliest appointment was about a week out and she promised to contact me if there were any cancellations. David arrived on time, replaced a sprinkler head and fixed a head that was damaged by the company that installed my neighbor s fence. He even took a few minutes to help me reset my system. Bought a house that sprinkler control box was positioned too low for me to read panel. So called busy bee who moved the box, repaired a drip line and a sprinkler head. Work was professional and reasonable. Reccomended.

I had three separate people look at my sprinkler system and none of them could troubleshoot it and get it working right. Their technician came out and within a few minutes explained everything necessary to keep it running right, as well as solve a problem from a previous contractor. I would highly recommend this company. You can t beat their service for the price.

Busy Bee returned to repair a sprinkler head that had stop working. Not only did Nick (the tech) do an outstanding job, but it was done free of charge. My original review for them was extremely positive. Since then, I would discourage anyone from using their services. Employees are excellent, but ownership is dishonest and quite hostile. Very, very erratic behavior. The last job they did for us was incomplete and the rationale was beyond flawed. I have never seen a company that was so outwardly argumentative with their customers when they are asked to fix something.

I went through a couple of landscapers before finding Busy Bee. Over a decade ago, a co-worker told me about Busy Bee and the owners Ashley and Joye Brooks. OMG, it is so refreshing to deal with someone who quickly returns my phone calls and responds quickly to sprinkler repairs. My decade-long relationship with Busy Bee has been WONDERFUL. I highly recommend them for lawn maintenance and sprinkler repair. You will not find a better company than Busy Bee or better individuals than the owners!!!

When I called Busy Bee two weeks ago I told them what I needed done. I had two zones needing to be modified due to a drive way extension. They set me up an appointment with Brandon on Monday May 3 and I was told that he would come and he would do the work the same day. So I coordinated the concrete to be done on Tuesday May 4. Brandon showed up and told me go ahead and modify the driveway and place two four inch sleeves under the new concrete from the irrigation valve boxes. He said they would call me back to set up a follow up after the concrete was done for the modification. Well no follow up call. So I had to call them. Then did return my call but stated this was Something that they could not address at this time of year due to manpower. Well why did they not tell me that to begin with. Not to mention as the concrete was being done we found a A tee connection that needed to be capped not to disrupt the rest of the zones otherwise the whole system would ve had to been re-done completely. This was very unprofessional and I m very disappointed.

Busy Bee is a great local provider for irrigation services and lawn care. I have used them for both, and they are reasonably priced, VERY timely, and they stand by their work. A locally owned, family business that I am extremely happy to be a customer with.

I have been a satisfied customer of Busy Bee for many years. The reason is simple they are the best. They offer full care lawn service. In addition to the usual mowing and edging, they trim all of my bushes and apply insecticide to curtail weeds. I never have to call them to ask them to do these things they do it when they see they are needed at no extra charge. The young man who does the work, Curtis, does a great job and is very polite and helpful. The owner, Ash, is totally customer focused and responsive. My lawn always looks great, thanks to Busy Bee.

I needed a drip line installed for a new raised bed. Busy Bee took care of it at a reasonable price. When they were finished I noticed a small issue that neither myself nor the technician caught during the service. The technician came back out that same evening to do the quick fix (at no additional charge), and it works great. I have used Busy Bee on a couple of occasions and they do great work.

When my husband and I got stuck away for more of the year than we had hoped (yay pandemic), we realized we needed some help keeping our yard looking acceptable. Busy Bee went above and beyond in maintaining our yard to the point it actually looks AMAZING! They have kept it mowed, edged, seeded, weeded... so much better than we had ever been able to do even with a not-insignificant amount of work. I am still amazed that they got grass to grow even on parts we thought were hopeless. Did I mention that they were also significantly cheaper than the national chains we called for estimates? I could not be happier and am just so excited we found such a great company. Thank you!

Avoid this company - their customer service policy is avoid and ignore! We had them come out for a tune up because one zone had low pressure. The technician adjusted and replaced some heads but didnt know how to address low pressure. That was $220. Then 2 days later the pump wouldnt start at all. The diagnosis was a broken pump relay - when they came out to do that repair they wired it wrong and burnt out the sprinkler controller because they didnt check the voltage on the wire first. They actually had installed the pump the previous year which is clearly labelled 220v. Then they would not respond to dozen phone calls and 2 emails over the next week pleading for them to come fix the problem they caused. Got another company to replace the controller and all works now.

Please do not use this company! We used them for two years for a house we infrequently visited. The work we requested was not done, and the backyard had altogether been neglected. When trying to speak to the owner/manager about this he was hostile, rude, and said he couldnt possible make it right for us. Will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I called Saturday with an emergency appeal, as a sprinkler head had somehow come loose underground, and was gushing water over my newly planted sod, so I turned the system off. Tracy called me back on Sunday, and said she d check with the techs, as they were super busy, and would call me back, which she did almost immediately, saying David would be here today between 11-11:30 this morning. My doorbell rang at 11:00, and what looked like a big problem to me he solved within a short time. Super pleasant to work with, and he checked out and reset my irrigation system as well. Will definitely call on this company when need be in the future!

I have attached the email in a photo that the owner sent me...it is the most unprofessional response to feedback that I have ever received. I simply asked for someone to come out and talk to me in person about the yard in person after their first visit that we were not pleased with after paying $600 up front. The owner also tried to have his employees follow me on social media after the interaction.

I have two homes where Busy Bee maintains the lawns and shrubbery. The crews are professional and do an excellent job. Even the sidewalks, patios and carpet are blown clean after each visit. I highly recommend Ashley and his workers.

We recently had an amazing experience with Busy Bee! They came quickly and worked to fix our sprinkler issue! They have proven time and time again that they are reliable and do amazing work!!

Did a great job reestablishing my system on an older property that had been neglected before be bought it.. very reasonable price given the amount of work they did

You need to be warned that this company charges $230 an hour. We had someone come out and dig up a root and replace 3 pipes in our sprinkler system. Although the guy was nice, it was one person for 3 hours and cost us $690 which is twice as much as we have ever paid for someone to service or sprinkler system.

After having my irrigation pump replaced by a different company, I found that I had a major leak in the piping going to the different zones. A thick root had broken three of the PVC pipes leading away from the pump. It was going to require a professional to cut away the roots and repair the system. Used Busy Bee before and their price were more than reasonable for a job that took longer. Called them and the guy that came out was professional and courteous. Cutting away the root and repairing the piping took around three hours to complete. Once we went to settle up the total cost for the job was $690. A lot more than I expected given my previous encounter. I feel the company dispatcher I talked with on the phone should have advised me about their current rates.

Recently had Busy bee out to my home to help with sprinkler issues I was having. The experience I was giving was wonderful, Tracy in the office was very personable and polite she informed of who the technician would be and when I could expect them. I believe the young man said his name was Brendan but non the less not only was he on time he was early! Extremely polite and informative and explained things in such a way that I could understand. He was very upfront about the cost of repairs and even said he didn t want to surprise me with a large bill if I decided to decline the work( I had a lot of issues). Very good first experience with busy bee. I will be calling again!

I called one sprinkler repair company, and they never showed up on the specified day of our appointment. I called another company and couldn t get an appointment scheduled for a month. Busy Bee was able to work us in quickly, and provided punctual and professional service without charging an arm and a leg. We will definitely call them first for any future sprinkler repair needs!

This morning, our sprinklers randomly turned on and would not shut off. Weve recently moved into our house, so we didnt know where the valve box was located. We searched and could not find it. We tried turning off the main water line to the house, the valve crumbled in our hand and did not work. Sprinklers still running. We ended up having to turn the main water line off at the city hook up. I called three different sprinkler companies to come help, left our story on their voicemails. I called Busy Bee at 12:03 pm, they texted me back at 12:24 pm and was at my house at 12:34 pm. Amazingly fast response. Ash found our valve box and shut off the sprinkler system for us and we were able to turn the main water back on, all before 1:00 pm. We have 3 kids, so not having water was a big deal. Amazing service, and he explained everything to us so we could easily understand. We HIGHLY recommend Busy Bee and will be using them in the future.

A family member ran over my sprinkler head last week. Its very difficult to get a irrigation person to my home in order to fix the problem. However today Ashley the owner of Busy Bee lawn care and sprinkler responded to my call promptly. He arrived more than two hours early, initially knew what my problem was immediately, and provided a very affordable solution to my problem. I will definitely use Busy Bee lawn care in the future and I recommend his service to all in my subdivision here in West Columbia. The company is local and I have nothing but good things to say about Busy Bee Lawn Care.

I have asked the guy numerous times not to use the riding mower on my front lawn because he never mows in straight lines! Now after all of the rain we received they came out very early to mow which is lawn care 101 DO NOT MOW GRASS AFTER A HEAVY RAIN! Now as of June 25, 2020 this is what I have to look at in my front lawn! Looks like the winner of nascar did burnouts on my front lawn! And to make matters worse I ve called and emailed and sent pics but have not received any response! So beware if you are considering using this lawn service. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS ON THEIR SITE I HAVE POSTED! They are the ones that look like someone did burnouts on my lawn!

Ash and his crew have been fantastic. They take pride in their job and it shows- treating our yard as it were their own! They have single-highhandedly turned our yard around. From patchy, sparse sad-looking grass to lush, dense, healthy, green grass! Curtis has done a phenomenal job. He pays attention to detail and has even alerted us when he finds something out of the ordinary- enabling us to have the builder address a leaking pipe! Ash is always available and happy to answer any questions we may have , or even to run over and look when we thought we might have an irrigation issue. Hands down, the best! We will be installing up-lighting at our house and will definitely use Ash and his crew to do this as well! Highly recommend them!

I use Busy Bee for regular lawn maintenance, and they also recently replaced the pine straw and wood chips in my yard. They always do a great job! I would definitely recommend them.

Not a good experience at all! I definitely would not recommend them! Very expensive!!! All I got for 300.00 was a big pile of leaves! The trash men would not pick it up because they didn t bag it. I contacted them about picking it up and they said it would cost me an additional 250.00. Who can afford this??? I m retired and don t have a lot of money. I really feel like I got ripped off!!!

This company is GREAT! I had an issue with my sprinkler system for a while. I contacted another company (that I know thru my work) and they were not responsive. I gave up on that company today and called Busy Bee right away. I got a call right back from Randy (service tech) and he happened to have a cancellation just now and was in the Irmo area. I asked him if there was anyway possible he could come by today and see if he could repair it before his next appointment at 5 (I called at 2:30). He told me he would be more than happy to come by. He came out and was nice and polite the entire time. Explained everything to me. He found the problem and fixed it the SAME DAY! I know working in construction can be difficult to arrange times but he did everything he could to fix this for me and I could not be happier. Thank you Randy! Busy Bee installed a sprinkler system in the front of my yard. They had to go under my concrete driveway to put the PVC pipe in. They did a terrific job. They did this job in the cold month of January. Now that it is March, I started to use my sprinkler system. I noticed that some of the sprinkler heads needed adjustment and I was uncertain on how to do it. William, from Busy Bee, and his partner came to my house. They made the adjustments and showed me how to do it in the future. They did this at no additional charge. Thanks Busy Bee! Ill use you again in the future.

He provided prompt, professional service and went above and beyond our expectations, even when it meant going out of his way to truly save us some money. Cant say enough about that amazing service we have received from Busy Bee! They have taken care of our lawn for several years now and it always looks amazing and the pricing is so reasonable. The customer service is also amazing! I notified Ash (the owner) when my daughters birthday was coming up and requested they make an extra trip prior to the party so everything would look amazing and he came by and personally took care of our lawn so that it was perfect!

My husband and I had landscape lighting placed around the house and could not be more pleased. William and his team were friendly, quick and were able to explain each of the features on the new transformer. I would highly suggest this team for your lighting needs!

Had them out twice to do sprinkler work, installed my rain shut off on the side of my dog house instead of at my roof line, and charged me for a sprinkler head they never installed. Rip off!

Service for us was neither prompt and especially not courteous. Ashley certainly does not have a customer-first attitude. Quite short-tempered, including raised voice, to my wife and me on more than one occasion. I have invoices to prove it.

I would advise anyone to get a quote from SEVERAL DIFFERENT companies if considering doing ANY BUSINESS with any company. Trust me when I tell you to GET SEVERAL QUOTES from OTHER Companies. You might be able to SAVE SEVERAL HUNDRED Dollars by contacting OTHER COMPANIES and getting quotes. The OTHER COMPANIES might do a better job too, you might be surprised.

I Gave them 4 stars as they have good knowledge of Sprinkler system plus friendly nature. I needed tune up of system plus needed some heads to replace. Only thing I can give them ZERO STAR for their charges. Service charge for $ 70.00 is reasonable but they charged ridiculously out raggedly for heads for $ 55.00 which does not cost more than $ 10.00. They told me price & I said yes as I did not have time to call more companies to negotiate price as I am businessman & cost more to leave my business to spend time at my lawn. So just felt ripped off only for Sprinkler head prices. But person gave me some knowledge how to install/repair heads etc. But rest they did best job & working real well. Thanks

The man who came was very professional. Did a sprinkler system tune-up. In the process, found two heads that were just worn out. Replaced the heads. Everything appears to be working perfectly now! Would recommend Busy Bee to others without hesitation or reservation.
