If you re a TruGreen customer, be aware that you might have issues with grubs and weeds because the local TruGreen office doesn t seem to perform treatments. I ve confronted them multiple times and have proof from my Ring Camera. My entire lawn was damaged this year due to grubs, and they didn t even care. No more TruGreen for me.

My level of satisfaction leads to my personal participation is not required, consequently, the application notice is appreciated bu not necessary, the specialist seems to arrive as scheduled and does his work. When there is an occasional problem, they respond courteously and quickly. We rarely anymore expect the level of quality customer service that I get from TruGreen, particularly from a large company, and we find the pricing and value terrific. Treatment today with a trainer and a trainee was terrific! I watched the whole application and it was thorough and accurate. Very careful around flower beds, covered 100% of the large yard.

I watched as the first spring fertilization was done on the trees and shrubs. I appreciated the thorough job he did.

Predatory company. Force their services on you. Target the elderly. Forceful customer service who refuse to stop services. Stay away and make sure they arent forcing their services on you parents or grandparents.

Pam from the customer service center was super unprofessional, I canceled 6 months ago and they never had it in their system. They are scam artists and I will never use them again. Edit: Changing to 3 star because a different rep called and apologized and was very respectful. Nicole was the new rep and explained the miscommunication.

Had TruGreen for over 12 years, and I dont have any complaints. I realize that its a partnership, and if I dont do my part but cutting my lawn and watering correctly, things may go wrong. My neighbors on both sides dont have TruGreen and the weeds dont come over to my side.

Very good company, always polite and explain what they are doing. Cost of the service is less than if I were to buy the product and then I would have to put it down. If ever I am not satisfied they reapply at no cost.

How come there is no paperwork left after the service with info on what treatment is done and what rate the fertilizer/weed control application is done etc? That is important information, need it after every application. Please have that send to me in mail. And get the printer fixed on the vehicle, so that is not an excuse that was used in the past also. Thank you.

This service was the first 2023 tree and shrub maintaince

As already said by a lot of people they are money thieves. I scheduled them for a season 3-4 months. They kept showing up. I called and canceled the service and 5 months later they showed up again with no alert and charge my debit card. I called my bank and disputed the transaction for $64. After that they called me and asked why I disputed. Later the collector sends me mail that I was put on collection because of $64 bill not paid. Those people don t know anything about lawn care they spend 3-5 minutes putting some chemicals and leave. Be aware you can do this by yourself

Absolutely unprofessional service by these guys. I had a scheduled service for my front and back yard and as it was forecasted to rain, I went ahead and rescheduled. They still decided to show up, perform the treatment on a quarter of my lawn, then leave a receipt claiming that the entire lawn was serviced. Thankfully, I have a Ring doorbell so I saw the whole situation, otherwise I would ve continued to get scammed by these guys. Don t trust them, or if you can, make sure you have someone at home to supervise them, otherwise they ll definitely take any opportunity they can to cut corners.

TruGreen has sure helped out lawn. We have two and one half acres with huge patches of weeds what killed the grass and plenty of dandelions. After the few treatments last fall the lawn changed. It looks like a park. I love it.

Im with my wife at the hospital but based on all of my previous appointments, I known its 5 star.

Weve had trugreen mosquito spray for few years now and before covid service was great. They seem to have certain technicians that do a better job than others one guy was Kenneth he did a great job one guy I cant even remember who was but he didnt do the entire property like he was supposed to today we had Josh Joshua M and I talked to him before he even started the job and told him that I really expected him to do the entire perimeter and around the house and he said yes he knows that so I was glad I heard that from him

Trugreen needs to be able to ensure when areas called out that appear to not be part of the property but are, that their on-site technicians are aware of the conversation.

Adrian was very polite and professional. We see so much improvement to our lawn in just 3 treatments. I cant wait to see what our grass will look like next season after aggregation and overseeding in fall. For those who complain, please listen to their advise and things will work out. I should have taken before and after pictures after just 3 treatments. We appreaciate T ruegreen service and have no complaints so far. If your grass is terrible like ours was, you got to give it some time. Go TRUEGREEN!

I have one of the best looking lawns on my street! Adrian confirmed what treatment I requested prior to the application. I didnt want fertilizer because my lawn, due to TruGreen, is amazing looking and very thick so i just wanted weed control. He made sure to let me know that I shouldnt let my dog out for at least an hour...I thought that was something I would have overlooked if he didnt let me know. He did a great job. Thank you Adrian!

Your pet-safe formula gave my dog seizures. Edit: no, I dont think I will email you as of right now. I dont believe anything your company can reasonably do could fix what has happened, and people should know that it is not *truely* safe for small children or pets, even after waiting the recommended 2 hours.

Hes knowledgeable and friendly and takes pride in his work. I wouldnt want anyone else servicing my lawn. If I have a problem area, he listens and does whats necessary to take care of it. DO NOT even go to the website. If you give them any information while looking for a quote, they will not stop calling, texting, emailing, even coming by your house to try to get you to sign on. I will NEVER give this company any business and I will be telling everyone I know to stay far away.

Actually knock on the door to speak with me when preparing to apply an application. Each time an application is made, the receipt left states the technician knocked on the door. That is not happening.

The representative thoughtfully and thoroughly treated our lawn to prepare it for the winter. Awesome!

My only issue is I would like to be present when they come to spray my lawn. Instructions are they should always come after 1pm and knock on the door but no one adheres to the instructions. they arrive in the morning when I am never available. After two weeks of treatment if I see weeds, I will call back for a do over.

Mark r is the specialist that services my home he is always personal, polite, listens to my concerns and addresses any and all issues to keep my lawn thick and weed free. when friends come over after they walk in the grass they always say to me its so soft and fluffy.

Our relationship is starting off very well from the lady I spoke with setting up my service. My technician (Jose) is very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to discuss your individual lawn. He made some great recommendations based on my lawn. It felt good knowing that someone cares about my lawn as much as I do. Thanks Jose. Your professionalism is unparalleled. ****Update on TruGreen (West Chicago). After only 4 months of service my experience went from feeling good to a nightmare customer service call. I called in directly to the West Chicago location to question the 3 services that I was being charged for and cancel. I paid for the lawn treatment for the entire year up front through TruGreen cooperate service line. Later I contacted he West Chicago office to have a one time mosquito application that did not work to my satisfaction. After calling to express my dissatisfaction, the guy in sales said he would send someone out to apply another application for free. The next cycle I am getting two additional treatments ($99.95 mosquito and 66.55 shrub fertilizer). Both auto billed to the card I gave for the one time mosquito treatment. That is an issue but not the most disturbing. The most disturbing was the call to the West Chicago location to cancel the services. When I called in, I was greeted by a lady that I asked to cancel the services that I was receiving a reoccurring charge for (misquito and shrub fertilizer). She never listen to me at all. She kept trying to give me a discount to continue a service that I never authorized. First she offered discounts of 20% off. I didnt ask for a discount of anything. Not even the money that was charged to my account (application already applied). After reluctantly canceling two of the treatments I asked about the final application that I paid for up front. She said she see that I have one more treatment and I would have to call back to cancel after the final treatment. I asked her a second and third time to just put notes in to cancel so I am not automatically renewed. Again she said she could not do it. At this time she was getting a different demeanor and the conversation turned to a very uncomfortable one. She then said that I cursed at her and she was going to hang up now. I immediately let her know that I did not curse at her and asked her what did I say. She stated she could not repeat it. I told her that our conversation is recorded and I would like to have someone play this conversation back . At that time she asked what else can she help me with, over and over. I let her know the only thing she could do for me was let me speak with a supervisor of manager. I dont appreciate being lied to or on. She stated that speaking with a manager or supervisor is not possible eventually hanging up on me. I call back to speak with a supervisor and a lady named Tiffany answered. I let her know who I was and the phone went (click). 5 minutes later I receive a call from a separate call center and I shared with him all that transpired. He shared with me that he would have a manager from that location contact me within 24 hours. He also shared with me hes not sure why she said she could not put notes in the system to have the final service and cancel with out auto renewal for the following year. He did it as we were on the phone within 90 seconds. I understand this is a long post but it must be shared. I feel strongly that this is not a first occurrence at this location because she felt to comfortable pressing and communicating one sided. Her only concern was to renew me for the following year and when she understood I was not going to be a return customer, she became a rude and disrespectful person. Hopefully this help others that have experience my situation or someone else from being in the situation. Have a wonderful day, FS

If you are honest with them, they will fix it, I just want a steady person so I dont have to explain my yard each time a new person comes out to do the application.

TruGreen was late with grub treatment application. Which resulted in grubs destroying parts of my lawn. They did retreat but the damage has been done.

Update: Originally one star review but was contacted by management with very professional handling and fully credited for erroneous billing. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We canceled this service and they acknowledge this cancellation (we had moved). They ERRONEOUSLY came out one additional time after the acknowledged cancellation and billed me $50. They have sent this bill to collection. This is dishonest and I would not be surprised if this is a common practice of this company.

Untrustworthy . We had service in April and in May. In June our serviced got pushed back on two occasions. I then called in and was told they would be out on 7/1. They skipped month of June and tried to double dip in July. On 7/1 the tech did not service my lawn. I was charged for two services $57.95 lawn service and $57.95 for grub control. The service tech Maxillmilliano Lara name was on the invoice. We watched him service our neighbors lawn. He never serviced our lawn but he did submit the invoice and charge my account. I talked with my neighbor and he received the same message a day prior he would have service on 7/1 as well. I contacted trugreen and informed them about the situation and I was told the tech serviced the wrong house. Now the tech and the company have lost my trust. It s sad and unfortunate situation that they are getting paid to do a service and if they think you re not home they don t do the work. Lesson for the service tech you never know when people are watching.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Not only does my yard look WORSE than it did before they treated it FOUR times but when I called to cancel for the third time, the customer service reps are wildly unhelpful and unresponsive.

This is what you paying for from Trugreen service. Picture said it all and they dont even care to bother to test what cause it or look at the issue rather than keep putting the fertilizer. Now the issue is customer problem and all you get is some Grass seeds to do it yourself. It took them 5 Specialist to find out what the problem was.

They fertilized my lawn and spot treated for weeds they saw. I m looking forward to the rest of their services as I watch the yard take off. Other future services include aeration and over-seeding.

Used them for many years. They used something that burned out our yard this year. We called for nearly 6weeks trying to get resolved. Ppl on phone were very nice, but could never get anyone to look over and repair the yard. Dropped them.

Areas of my lawn have consistently been missed, leading to dead grass, weeds, crab grass. Cannot contact local branch directly to address concerns, phone is automatically routed to a corporate automated message that is not helpful. Extremely frustrating to deal with and disappointed with the service and results of my lawn. Photos were not problems prior to using TruGreen, but are now.

I was not happy with their service and ruined my lawn. I called several times to fix bold spots, grubs weeds. But no reslts. Finally I fired them.

They made good on our agreement when we signed up last year.

Not sure what s going on with this company recently. Billed me for service we didn t receive. When I called for clarification, waited more than 2 hours for someone to answer the line. Then was told we had received 7 applications last year when we only had 4...their records were completely wrong. Still in dispute about billing. Asked for manager to call us, still no call from them. Perfectly fine lawn treatment for more than 10 years, but their billing practices are highly questionable. I ll be switching to a different provider.

Chemical burns two years in a row. Even more annoying is I feel that the customer service response is poor. Recent experience where manager diagnosed/argued with me on my lawn issue from his desk. Never saw issue in person. Love the service when it works right. But many of the people I ve dealt with seemed less than engaged in resolving issues.

I like TruGreens comprehensive service by friendly professionals who leave a note after their service stating what was done, and what might need to be done.

They did not do a very good job this year. Lawn is not very healthy looking and has a lot of weeds . I asked them to discontinue services for the year but they keep scheduling. Come on guys I just needed a break from services until next year. This should not be that hard to communicate.

Despite cancelling my service three times, they continue to schedule appointments and services. Had them aerate last year and they performed the service to the wrong house on a totally different block....twice! Did not signup for aeration services this year but they scheduled it anyways. It required multiple cancellation calls for that as well. Very shady business practices with little to no customer care. Stay VERY far away!

In a nutshell damaged my lawn and gave me a bag of seed to fix it myself. Will never use their service again.
