Our backyard needed a complete transformation. I had noticed Grant and Power s work online and called. Shawn Pawlak came out, asked the right questions, and came up with a gorgeous plan. Demolition and installation went as promised, and we now have a beautifully landscaped setting for our house.

We hired them last year to improve our backyard. Tyler came out and met with us. Him and his team were great. They handled everything including dealing with the local village permits. The work turned out great and now they are keeping it looking good this year. They are the best landscapers we have worked with.

Everyone we deal with at the company is professional

Gave a deposit to hold a spot in line prior to designs. They did two versions and both were @ the budget point yet I found a person to do it at half the cost. Now they wont return the deposit.

Do not trust them. When installing my paver patio, they dug up my underground sump pump drain without my permission and put in a terrible above ground pipe that spews water all over my yard. It makes a horrible mess. When doing this gravel got into my sump pump and ruined it.I had to replace it, but Jan said it wasnt their fault. Watch out if you are a female senior citizen. Dont hire them. *****After seeing this review, Grant and Power sent a representative out to check my problem. They agreed that it was not done properly and sent a team out to correct the problem.

Grant and powers did an exceptional job for us. With all the issues w Covid and supply chain things took longer than anyone expected. Shawn was very communicative and stood behind the work they did. Shawn was able to capture our vision and really make it come to life.

As a testament to how deserving of praise I feel this organization is, I have taken the time to write maybe 5 reviews ever. We had a fairly large project that we wanted to have done and from start to finish Shawn and the rest of the team at G&P were fantastic. The design they came up with was outstanding, both aesthetically and in functionality. They kept us informed of everything from pricing to schedule and other details and options of the project. If there was a question I had all I had to do was ask and it was answered that day. We had a designated crew that was assigned our project and only our project so there wasn t an issue with them having to go work on some other project before they finished ours. I have had several other smaller projects with other landscaping companies and was disappointed with their ability to keep us informed. If I could give Grant and Power another star I would. Thank you to Shawn and the rest of the team there.

Gene and his team were extremely detailed from design to installation to follow-up! There were no surprises and the team was always proactive. We worked to find the right design and were able to go with a final project which was right for us. Our family uses our new space frequently!

We had a FANTASTIC experience and an INCREDIBLE outcome. We started working with Jan and he met with us to hear about what we would like and then looked at our backyard. We contacted Grant and Power because our neighbors had a friend who had a great experience with Grant and Power and Jan was the chief designer and so we used that reference to find Grant and Power. As we engaged with Jan he provided feedback based on his experience and then provided us a 3D rendering so we could fully see how the design would work. The results are even better than the 3D rendering. The backyard is where we go as a family to relax and host friends. We put in a new patio along with a new kitchen bar with built in grill along with the perfect landscaping, shrubs and trees. Along the way we added few extras such as lighting and Jan came through! I also want to mention the skilled employees that Grant and Power has on their team. All of them were experienced and did the job at a very high quality and were flexible if we made a slight preference change in the moment such as how we wanted some stepping stones positioned. They always came on time and as scheduled. I know friends who went with lower bids for their patios and were disappointed and then they see our patio and you can see on their face that they wished that they might have done something a bit different in their decision process. We had our entire front yard re landscaped in the summer of 16. Gene and his team did an incredible job. From the initial design to the final product, I am extremely happy with the communication and professionalism of Grant and Power. I highly recommend.

Gene and his team are awesome! I had several quotes and Gene (Grant & Power) was able to come in not only with good pricing but also a beautiful and affordable design for us. If there were any issues in regards to the work being done he was able to quickly resolve and correct. He will not finish the job until you are 100% satisfied! Not to mention we also now have the prettiest Colorado-esk back yard in our neighborhood. Also, you cant beat their warranty.

Grant & Power did an AMAZING job on my backyard kitchen / fire pit / bar / patio project. Working with them was a treat. The project manager, Shawn Pawlak, is one of the best Ive ever worked with. With any complicated project like this, you can always expect a lot of unplanned issues popping up no matter how much diligence they could put into the planning (which was a lot). The staff delivering the project was also top shelf - never complaining in what became an incredibly laborious process (mostly because they could not fit heavy equipment in my backyard, thus requiring a lot of manual labor). Shawn and the G&P crew had a can-do attitude the whole time, no matter what the issue. They managed the project cradle-to-grave from the initial designs, the permitting w/ the village and the execution of the project. All within the initial budget. I could not be more pleased to have worked with a finer company on a very complicated and rigorous project. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great experience. Gene was very accommodating and I would definitely recommend. Never hesitates to explain in detail and/or come to your house. He designed my entire property from scratch. You get what you pay for. If youre willing to have a good budget you will be happy with Grant & Power. Would definitely recommend.

We had a major improvement to our backyard patio completed by Grant & Power in 2016. Jan was excellent to work with. The project was done on time and on budget and was a significant enhancement to our property. The workers were excellent and cleaned up each day. We are very pleased with the results and the professionalism of G&P. We have already recommended them to another neighbor.

Worked with Gene at Grant & Power on our backyard landscaping and pavers and were so pleased, had him design and complete work in the front of the home. He helped us stay within our budget and the work was done in a timely manner after we approved the design. The workers cleaned up every day and checked in with us to a make sure we were satisfied. There is a human element to this company. Having lost a loved one between jobs, Gene created a memorial tree area in his design at his own cost to honor our daughter. We are forever grateful for this kind and compassionate gesture and it speaks volumes about the kind of company Grant & Power is and their relationship with return clients.

We moved into a new neighborhood under construction in Geneva and our home had a walkout basement under a large deck. To provide for a shaded patio under the deck and adjacent landscaped seating and garden areas, we secured designs and bids from three very reputable landscape architect firms. We worked directly with Gene Grant who lives in Geneva and liked his design best by far, and it was apparent he listened to what was important to us and incorporated that into the design. Work started on time, was completed efficiently and we are very satisfied. We have referred G&P to three neighbors who we think will select G&P for their yards. Gene has stopped by this spring to remind us hed like to do a walk through of our garden to address any issues with plantings as they surface for their first Spring in our new garden. We chose the right service provider for our home.

Grant and Power won us over with their honesty and commitment to quality. My wife and I quoted our outdoor project with four different companies. We ended up choosing Grant & Power because we were more confident that they would provide a superior product within the time frame discussed. They definitely met all of our expectations, even though we missed our time frame by a few days. The delay in time was due to a manufacturer shipping error. I was very impressed with how the Grant & Power Sales team handled the situation as they notified me right away of the error and kept me in the loop as to when it would be fixed. I appreciated them being up front and honest; thus, I will always be a future customer.

Grant and Power did a beautiful job rebuilding our sagging flagstone, adding a gorgeous patio, correcting drainage gutters and completed the landscaping with trees and plants. This was a large project which could have created stress for us, but Grant and Power carried it off without incident. From planning to the final minute, everything was done knowledgeably and to high standards.

The landscape design, and oversight of the work by Jan Bouwman was superb in every respect. The work foreman and crew did an excellent job in removing all the old landscaping, preparing the soil, and planting new trees, shrubs and groundcover. We particularly appreciated the care they took to minimize damage to our lawn, and leave the job site clean and tidy at the end of the day. Many of our neighbors have commented on the improved look of our home, and we have provided the name of your company to several who have inquired.
