I'm so impressed with their service. Fast, efficient, outstanding job cleaning huge pile of leaves, then did another sweep over the entire area to make sure they got everything picked up and also picked up sticks in the area. Wow! Thank you, great job Greenwood Group!!!
This company is the worst I have seen. They would scalp the backyard where it could not be seen, run the mower to low up a hillside and through the mud placing ruts in what grass there was, rarely pulled weeds, left trash and mowed over it, would mow over sticks and walnuts and acorns, they couldn’t tell the difference between weeds and plants, and to top it off. They picked today 11/10/2022 to put lawn seed down for Fall planting. This weekend and next week the temperatures drop into the 20’s at night and water outside has been turned off. The snow service was just as bad. Too much salt in places and not enough in others especially where ice formed and water built up. But they left those tripping and slipping hazards. I do not recommend this company at all. I put more seed out for spring and kept them from mowing until grown well. This was taken after first mow in Spring. scalped edging and mud ruts in middle of grass. Became worse after each mow. Where dirt replaced grass.
I have lived in this subdivision in south county for a number of years and our HOA have used your company for lawn services for a number of years too. I must say that I am disappointed as to how they cut grass throughout our subdivision. We all have a small front yard with a tree. Week after week, year after year they mow in circles in the yard creating a circular growth pattern in the grass. Can they change directions weekly? Also, my biggest disappointment with Greenwood is the ruts they have created in the backyard of 2-3 homes (mine included). The backyard has a slope. They have started changing directions in the last couple of years but continue to stay in the same pattern. Is there a solution? I hope so. I also hope that they will take care of the ruts at their expense and not the HOA. Lately when they are trimming, they trim the grass almost down to the dirt. There is room for improvement Greenwood Group!
We are a Condo Association. We have used Greenwood for years and are very happy with the services they provide. Along with taking care of our lawn they also provide snow removal for the winter, fall and spring clean up, tree trimming . Greenwood cares about your needs and meets and works with you , notifies you ahead of snow and what they expect an what they will be doing to ahead of time. They have very good employees they are very professional.
I have been on our HOA Board for roughly 6 years and have direct experience with Greenwood. I have found the customer service, response and the work itself second to none. I have the highest regard for Greenwood and am willing to give references at any time. We can also always rely on our snow being removed shortly after the snow event stops.
We have enjoyed the fantastic services of The Greenwood Group for many years now. Their complete list of services keeps our grounds looking great all year long. And if we have a special request or need, whether with irrigation, trees, bushes, leaves, and especially mowing, they are always quick to respond.
We recently had landscaping done by Greenwood and were very pleased. We loved the design they chose for us. The work was done professionally, they worked steady and quickly and everything was cleaned up when the project was complete. Thank you to Len for coming to check on the completed project the next day making sure everything was satisfactory. We appreciated that. We have had several neighbors stop by inquiring who did the work for us. They thought it looked great! Thank you - we would definitely call Greenwood again.
Highly Recommended
HOA contracts with them to cut lawns once a week thru warmer seasons. They ve improved from last year when we were lucky if they cut once a month vs a week. They re great at excuses it s too wet, it s too dry, it s too hot, we re short-staffed, etc. A contract is a contract - abide by it. They take zero responsibility for damage done to owners property and are snarky about it to boot. But our HOA Board LOVES them and one has to wonder why. Maybe they do a better job on board members lawns. I m sure they have a better attitude with HOA Board vs the rest of us just footing the bill. IN RESPONSE TO GREENWOOD S REPLY I ve already dealt with your dismissive Nick Sarandos, Dir Client Relations whose relationship with HOA Board member(s) allows him to dictate to the property owners, those of us footing the bill. He s King, we re just peasants. My negative opinion of your shoddy service and disrespectful customer relations remains. I have no control or voice in the selection of lawn care for my own property, so I m leaving this negative review for others considering hiring a lawn care service to see. You re the last business I d personally hire for anything. Your relationship with HOA Board allows you to do what you want and individual property owners have no say.
You did a good job cleaning up the snow, including adding pellets to keep the walks clean.

You should not be cutting residential properties, including apartment complexes (Forest Woods in Valley Park), at 7 am in the morning for obvious reasons. If you need to get started so early, then you need to start your day at a commercial property where people arent trying to sleep.
Ive been using The Greenwood Group for our residential lawn care for two years. I can always count on them being here each week. This past week, I checked in on our scheduled date because we had a graduation party planned for Saturday. It rained on our scheduled date, Thursday. On Friday morning, right before the day long monsoon, my grass was getting cut. I did not request any special treatment. Thank you, Greenwood Group, for ensuring our lawn looked great for our party!
2-1/2 weeks for an estimate. Not a Heart Transplant. Not performing service on an aircraft... an estimate.... Another case of too big and too expensive to care about residential jobs - too much focus on large commercial projects and the $$$$. Dont worry - youre the same as every other business we have dealt with.
Greenwood Group does a great job. They perform the services needed to keep my properties looking great and provide recommendations for any items that need to be addressed. When updates need to be made, they provide recommendations outside the box to make the landscaping pop.

This was our first foray into the having an outside contractor provide mowing services for Parkway Schools. The results achieved were very satisfying and we look forward to continuing this relationship.
Nick is always good with communicating and the crews do a fine job. They are hard workers with Javier being an excellent supervisor. Its nice to see our subdivision on a Thursday when its all cut and trimmed uniformaly.

I had a drainage problem for over 11 months at my residence at Lienemann Forest. The cheapest bid won the contract and they proved how cheap they were. The board recontacted The Greenwood Group and I had the opportunity to meet with Jenny who explained clearly what the problem was and how it needed to be repaired. When the board eventually approved the bid from The Greenwood Group, Jenny and the crew arrived at 8:30 AM. She explained exactly what was going to be done, and the project was complete before noon. (The other company spent 4 days making a mess.) I am completely satisfied with the completion of the project. It looks better than ever, and no drainage problems. It sure proves that knowledgeable management staff and conscientious workers can complete projects correctly and quickly. Thanks for the great job.
I just recently moved into a condo in Brentwood. I am very surprised that this company is still in business knowing the fact that you can t educate your landscapers on how to get rid of cut grass. (Meaning, don t just blow the clumped up grass on the street and sidewalk back into our grass!!!!) I work for a reputable landscaping company in Saint Louis myself and I know my boss would have a hernia if he saw how you treat our properties. I have taken pictures of the dead cut grass every week and it has never gotten better. If you want to stay in business, come see for yourself how your employees carelessly take care of our properties and make changes! It s. Not. That. Hard. Thank you.
They mow the grass at Lakeview elementary School , they mow while students are going in to school in morning, mind that its probably 600 kids , an easy 100 from my subdivision, very busy , and they just fly around on power mowers , just not smart, totally crazy, i iant recall seeing anything so dangerous and so stupid, just because they cant speak English doesnt give them the right to be so so stupid just unbelievable
Rain or shine and even in the snow, Greenwood Group made sure to complete my awesome landscape retaining wall before the real winter set in. They went the extra mile.

I love the advance e-mails from Nick before ice or snow telling us what is expected and the service plan for that particular event. It takes a lot of stress off of association managers.
