Canete in Wayne

I'm very disappointed with Canete Landscape. We thought that hiring a larger landscaping company would mean we'd have better customer service. That was not the case. We used them for two full seasons. There are a few issues: 1. They make you wait until late July for any trimming to be done on bushes/shrubs, etc. Then the crew shows up, they want to get in/out in an hour because they've got 15 houses to do in one day. They don't care that they trimmed your shrub and it's higher on one side than the other or that a maple tree isn't shaped right. I had to ask them to stick around longer and they start giving you looks and suddenly everyone is talking on their phone when they are supposed to be working. Really? 2. We have a pool in our backyard and not once, but TWICE in one month their grass cutting crew bent the telescopic pole I use for skimming and vacuuming. (They are about $40 in a pool store.) The second time they did it they also damaged the fence where I keep my pool pump. Did the guys leave a note or knock on the door and apologize? NO!!!! I found the damage both times right after they left. I called Canete and yes I got a credit towards my bill by providing a receipt for new pole I purchased and yes they came and fixed my fence, but they only fixed it. I had to get someone to stain it because they don't cover that. I still had a lot of inconvenience that didn't have to occur if their guys acted like professionals and owned up to damage. 3. Fall cleanup - three guys show up on two different dates and blow the leaves onto a tarp and drag them out to the street. The bill comes and it's just under $1,000. WHAT!!!!!! They charge $65.00 per hour, per guy. At the end of the day, the guys are probably getting $20 bucks and hour. The mark up is insane. Additionally, in between the first and second year we used Canete, we had three trees taken down and a fence put around our property. Less trees and a fence should yield a lower cost for fall cleanup. NOT! When I called to inquire why the bill was so high given the lack of trees and the fence, I was told that doesn't make a difference whether you cut down trees or not because they increased their prices and that's that. Canete DOES NOT value its customers at all. My advice to anyone who is looking to use them for their services is buyer BEWARE!

This crew is THE BEST. Reliable, professional and honestly, THE HAPPIEST crew of landscapers we’ve had in the 14 years we’ve owned our home. From lawn care to hard scape, could not be happier. Highly recommend.

very unhappy with lack of professionalism. i could not get any convientent time for an estimate so i had to schedule my work week around them . i scheduled it for 10am 7 days in advance as the only time available . They canceled two hours before the scheduled meeting

Ik nothing of this company. One of there landscaping drivers wasn’t paying attention and rear ended my vehicle at a red light. He also didn’t have his physical drivers license on him at the time. I spoke to one of the managers and he said he would call me back and never did to get there insurance info although I will have everything once I get the police report.

The selection of plants is wonderful. The Christmas tree that I bought was the best one that I ever had and will not die. The staff is very helpful and they donate to a lot of garden clubs around Wayne

Well....I work here so my opinion could be influenced....lol. Its a great garden center....tremendous quality of plant materials, if we don't have it we can source it. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.....besides me! Stop in and see us in April....til the our plants are sleeping. We are still open for propane firewood and salt sales.

My daughter worked here. I love the selection and the employees, of course! It’s a really lovely spot to stop for containers and garden supplies in addition to the large selection of plants, including fruits, vegetables, and herbs. They do a nice job curating the experience so that you can wander through different areas and find beautiful greenery. When I pick my daughter up from work I cannot help but stop in!

Ordered 1/2 cord of firewood paid a fair price with a $30 delivery for same town. While the wood was properly seasoned it is so dirty and filled with bug/spiders. We have to brush off each piece before even bringing it inside. I wanted to wash it all with a hose but I was worried that it will be too wet to use. I would not buy from them again unless I inspected the wood before paying.
