Went to Rolands Nursery for landscaping ideas. Jorge and his team of landscapers were amazing--they came out and built a beautiful desert landscape and completed it in less than one day.!!! So surprised it took them just that short amount of time. Great group of landscapers and a great place to shop for all sorts of trees, plants, grasses, cacti, flowers just anything you need! Great big thanks to all who helped us.

This place is so big and has everything you need. I loved it.

I wanted to buy a $400 tree for my mom. I saw it 3 days prior and they said they would be open on Sunday. Google says theyre open on Sunday. And its Sunday and I cannot purchase anything because they are not open. Poor business practices. Ill be purchasing somewhere else.

The atmosphere and the customer service was excellent! The associates took time to help me find exactly what I was looking for. I have never experienced feeling so good after leaving any business. I bought the last tea olive tree and several other plants. Roland s is the best!

Roland and his staff are very driven positive individuals. They will go to every extreme and beyond your expectations to make it right with your experience. I believe they just love helping people and making your yard meet its full potential.

All their employees are excellent! They provided a ton of support to questions and provided recommendations. Prices are comparable. Excellent service all around and fast loading of top soil and grass sod.

I ve always bought my trees and plants from here matter of fact just bought $250 worth of pansies last fall and I came out here to get rock for my pond today and all I needed was two layers of stone but these young kids would not let me pick out my own pieces I don t understand Roland you have so much how do you refuse to let an old woman go through some stone and find some rocks to line my little pond .poor poor customer service. I won t be back.

Bad Policy! With no complaints, we bought several thousand dollars in trees from Rolands at our last house. We are having our pool landscaped at our new home and were looking for ideas on landscaping design which will be a significant purchase. After arriving, they would release their plans with 50% down. So much for shopping and finding the best deal; I have been treated by used car dealerships better. So after I pointed out it was a Bad Policy, Mr. Roland kept saying Bye (about five times), so Good Bye! I will never return. I will always look for companies that appreciate my business; Mr. Roland does not deserve anyones money.

Had a very pleasant experience at Rolands !!! Got some beautiful plants and rocks to redo our flowerbeds. We also had the pleasure of meeting Rolands Mom who was grilling hot dogs and hamburgers there Just an awesome experience from everyone there and will definitely be back !!!

Very horrible customer service. With proof and they still wont admit that they sell diseased trees. I had one planted by them and it died within months due to a disease. No refund or anything. Be careful. Do your research and go somewhere else. They are nice until you after transaction is done.

Came out quick. Had the front yard and the entire back yard done. Superior workmanship and even when things went a little off they fixed it asap. Even reused as much of the original landscape plants as appropriate. Workers were great and very courteous. Would recommend them to anyone that is starting from scratch or wants a big change and have it done right. Super nice people at the nursery as well and the installed sprinkler system works great. Did a great job within our budget. Go to Rolands and get the job done as you want it done.

It seems to me Roland s concern is home builders and contractors. The experience for me has been terrible. You can never get Bermuda grass. When they do have it you prepay for it and they take your money and when you show up to pick it up they have sold what you already payed for. This has happened several times to me. It seems they don t care about the smaller people. Will not go back to them again. I am tired of them screwing me over!

Excellent services

Roland s did a great job! From the very first discussion till the final plant was installed. We appreciate the great job and we highly recommend Rolands.

I was just going to accept it but sitting outsode today looking at my yard, im heartbroken. I didnt have a large budget ($2,500) but I didnt think that would have meant receiving plants that were not healthy at installation. Beds became overgrown with grass quickly (were not dug out correctly and no liner was placed). The $200 crepe myrtle seems to be the worst they could find and the wrong color (I asked for red but was given white because the guy said he wanted to contrast, never asked ). The $500 maple is dying in spite of the amount of water I give it. They even left the name tags on the plants when they planted them. I should have followed my first mind and gone to Calloways.

Their sprinkler crew did a great job! They found and fixed a water leak that the original installers couldnt find. They also modified my sprinkler zones. The job was done quickly and they cleaned up well.

Came on a Sunday at 10 am and it was closed when clearly on gps states that is opened, I live very far away

It was great in variety of what they had but wow at the prices. I think everyone is taking advantage of everything being in short supply this year after the freeze.

I love this nursery ...they have a hugh variety of plants, statues, pots and more...

We were treated great, the staff was awesome and helpful. They helped us make up our mind on what kind of trees to buy. We ended up getting 2 Bradford Pear trees and 1 Magnolia tree. They delivered and placed them today. The guys were awesome and did a great job. The trees look great in our yard. We cant wait to watch them grow!

Not only is this place amazing to visit, your greeted with some happy and polite professionals. I have never experienced bad product, service or advice from Rolands and their pricing is unbeatable for the quality. Its no wonder they remain so busy! I love it.

We had $6,000 worth of landscaping done in October 2020, specifically requesting native landscaping for our pool. Asked about a bulk discount since we were purchasing multiple palm trees among other things. I was informed there would not be a discount because the cost included insurance for the one-year warranty. In April 2021 when two of the trees are dead, I am now being told it was an act of nature and the trees will not be replaced. They are not standing by their word or behind the product as promised. I am very disappointed

Went looking for hanging baskets. Was a little disappointed in the selection of those on this visit. Other places seem to not have as many this year as well. I m sure it could possibly have something to do with the severe winter here in Texas this year!

We had actually first visited a nursery down the road from Rolands. We werent impressed with their selection or prices, and nobody ever asked us if we needed any help, so we decided to drive down to Rolands. Wow, what a difference that was. Rolands had a much larger selection of shrubs/plants, and at a better price. We had SEVERAL people ask us if we needed any assistance throughout our visit. We ended up working with Roland and he was very accommodating. Answered all our questions, took our order, gave us a bulk discount and had his guys do everything, we didnt have to lift anything. Highly recommend this place. Knowledgable small business owner with a quality working staff, dont waste your time, money or frustrations at a big box retailer, go see Roland and company, you wont be disappointed.

Went there this past Friday. We were immediately greeted with people who offered their help. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a young man who was very helpful and answered all our questions. He took the time to say hello and even offered a discount. That young man was Roland the owner. Well definitely be back!!

Love everything about this place from plant and yard art to swings and statues to their beautiful Peacocks. Staff is knowledgeable. They could use a coffee or smoothie bar as it is so large you get thirsty in the heat. Highly recommend.

My husband & I are currently renovating our landscape from scratch. We visited Rolands nursery and were greeted by the owners son (Rolando). He was very informative and attentive. Therefore, he had gained my trust. We needed 10 yards of compost mix and ask about pricing. Rolando informed us that their compost was $75 per yard...(period and end of story). When my neighbors & family members heard how much we had spent, they were shocked. This prompted us to start calling around. With multiple calls made, I was getting quotes between $42-$45 per yard for compost. I called Rolands nursery back and was told (not by Rolando, a different employee) that their compost was $50 per yard. Of course this prompted me to speak with Rolando directly. He stated that yes, they do carry compost for $50 per yard but that they also have a higher end compost that sells for $75. I explained to Rolando that he never told us that there was a variety of compost to choose from. We were simply upsold on the most expensive product. When I brought this to his attention, there was not any type of customer service attempt to rectify the situation. I feel that I was violated as customer. I was looking forward to a continuous relationship with this place of business. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

I cant say enough about Rolands Secret Garden. All our family and friends could not stop ranting and raving about how beautiful the venue is. Im glad we had our wedding at The Secret Garden everyone loved the how beautiful the venue looked. The most important part is my now beautiful wife loved the venue and how beautiful the wedding transpired. As for Roland and his staff they were very transparent with us about everything we asked and needed of them. Roland was awesome he really took good care of my wife and I. The Secret Garden was by far the best pricing in the area. I would recommend anyone to use this venue you will not be dissatisfied. Thanks to Roland and his staff

Plants are great. Beware though of the prices. Purchased insect disease control, went down the street to the big box store and it was half the price of what we paid at Rolands.

I have purchased pallets of Bermuda grass from Rolands on several occasions the past 2 years. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The Bermuda grass they sell is good quality grass and grows well after putting in your yard. I would highly recommend for all of your landscaping needs.

Super knowledgeable, great inventory and fair pricing. They planted a 200 gal tree for us in no time and it looks fantastic.

Sold me a $200 fountain that weighed 300 pounds, took 2 hours to get out of my vehicle and into place, learned that the hose was torn un FIVE places. Supposedly they flushed the hose and cleaned the drain of the fountain before loading it into my jeep. Apparently not cause Im quite sure theyd have noticed the tears and the dirt packed into the hose. Called them about it.... well, I dont know what to tell you. We dont do replacement hoses. You can bring it back for a refund. A 300 pound concrete fountain?!?!?! I spent $500 at this place and its the last money they will ever see from me! Horrible customer service.

This was my first time here today & was throughly pleased. Great prices, large selection & no pressure. The staff was not always in sight but very helpful. I enjoyed the peaceful, uninterrupted, stroll through their gardens. Pots were half price today!!

We used them 4 years ago for a full landscape and sprinkler system. We have been very happy with the design and plants, even 4 years later. They are the only place to get sod. Very solid quality. They even helped when we had questions and a few issues. Ive recommended them many times.

Horrible customer service, rude,and no warranty unless you pay extra to have them install. You would be betteroff going to home depot or Lowes

I just pulled up to your nursery today. I didn t like my welcome. I understand you may not have perennials as your sales person said, but I felt uninvited to shop around. I got the impression that your rep was telling me anything to have me leave. I had to ask him if they were closed which you were not. Then I asked if I was allowed to look around. At that point I was already disgusted so I didn t even bother to immerse myself in your stock. It s sad, because I just moved to the area and am looking to improve my landscape. You just lost this customer s business.

They came out and redesigned our entire landscape layout at our house, installed it all and every year we schedule them for new mulch and clean up. Our go to guy, George, is incredible. I will never go anywhere else!

My best friend had her baby shower here and it was very beautiful! Perfect for any celebration or occasion! Shanna worked really hard coordinating EVERYTHING so perfectly for the mommy to be and each guest!

Bought my native Texan pecan tree today. I was told it could take 10 business days till they were able to deliver/plant it. But to my surprise they delivered it and planted it on same day. Thanks to for your excellent customer service

Very knowledgeable to my needs I would definitely request this to anybody living here I lived in California in Orange County 42 years and the nurseries there were very good and accommodating my needs. I came out to Waxahachie about 3 years ago I couldnt find anything right away but then I found Rolands Nursery and that place is great very informative workers there great selection of plants trees and shrubs for that time of the year especially explaining to me how each plant should get rooted and told why and told how how long to water to maintain them. love you guys thank you

I would have given Rolands a 4 a year ago, but today I give them a one. We purchased a pallet of Bermuda grass last week. We wanted two but was told the other one was spoken for. We went in on Wednesday and prepaid for a pallet to ensure we had enough to complete our project. When I got there the place was busy. I waited 20 minutes just to get help. I understood because they were busy. When I got someones attention it took them another 15 minutes to let me know they sold them grass I had previously purchased. I asked to speak to roland. After all I have purchased multiple over priced trees throughout the last 10 years. Needless to say he basically said there really wasnt anything he could do. He turned around without even looking at me and processed a credit but didnt say another word. It would have been nice for him to offer a little discount or something given the circumstances. He did however have two of his workers stand with their arms folded by my truck to ensure I left. I am amazed they didnt have time to help me in the beginning but managed to have time to stare at me doing nothing while I loaded my five year old in the truck. I felt like they were trying to intimidate me and my 5 year old?

Recently stopped in and they were super helpful and informative! Thanks for everything! I will definitely be back for more palm trees!!!

Have been a customer of Rolands since 2005 when he was located on I35 and Hwy 287. Always has an excellent selection of plants, trees and ornamental items with competitive prices. They recently revamped our pool area and again did a wonderful job. You cant go wrong with Rolands Nursery
