MJS Landscaping Services in Waukesha

We are so pleased with the MJS team – we worked extensively with Tracy and Raul and we received exceptional advice and service from the beginning of the project to the end of the project! Our yard was full of dead and oversized trees, scraggy bushes, uneven grass, dangerous steps to the backyard and a tired landscape. We gave Tracy a blank slate to design and asked her to assume that we’d be willing to take down any and all trees/bushes so that she could come up with a cohesive plan and fill the property with viable trees/bushes. We trusted Tracy to come up with a cohesive plan and work with the few elements we wanted to retain but generally we gave her free rein to design. We gave Tracy some pictures and requested a few particular plants. She took these elements and her design plan was outstanding! Our only tweak was to swap out some of the flowers! In addition, her design plan to fix the steps from the front of the house to the back of the house (which were becoming dangerously uneven) was exceptional and she tied together the front and the back with stone and rock. She addressed some water flow needs by creating riverbeds to handle rainwater. She also added accents lights which make the property beautiful at night. Tracy prepared a 3D design which helped us visualize the concept. The team that implemented the plan was led by Raul and he and his team are exceptionally talented. He turned Tracy’s beautiful design plan into reality. We were in contact with Raul to address normal course matters that arise during big landscape projects. For example, we ended up creating an unplanned second riverbed to address some drainage issues that arose because of a heavy rainfall during the project. Their ability to implement changes so quickly was amazing. The before and after pictures are stunning and we have complete strangers slow down as they drive by the house and compliment the landscaping. We would highly recommend Tracy, Raul and the MJS team – they take great pride in their work and they designed and built a beautiful place for us to enjoy as a family. We are very grateful for their amazing work that we will enjoy for years to come.

Extensively detailed planning from beginning to end. Tracy provided the perfect balance of offering choices & narrowing things down based on our preferences. We came in with a partial vision & she really brought it to life & balanced it perfectly with the style of our house & our neighborhood. Everyone who worked on the expansive project did an exceptional job! It’s obvious they take a lot of pride in the great work they do. Couldn’t be happier!

One of their employees cussed at us and layed on his horn repeatedly when one of our trailers was in his way when trying to leave the side of the street. This guy could have handled this situation so much better by just simply walking over to us and politely asking if we can move our trailer. It’s unfortunate to see how this grown man handles his emotions when inconveniences arrive. I would never hire them or have them on my property based on the employees they hire. They show zero respect and puts a bad name on the company. Also, learn how to backup a trailer first before towing one. We strongly believe he was too embarrassed that he didn’t know how to backup a trailer so he wanted it his way or the highway.

I feel like a company should be rated based off the quality of their work, and I feel like two stars is generous! I live in a Condo full of elderly people, and they completely left their driveways full of at least 6 inches of heavy, wet snow. I saw some of my neighbors, struggling to do their driveways, even though that’s a service we pay for! I will change my review if anything, gets better or change it, if anything gets worse! I’m disappointed with the quality of work because the last two years have been great work and hopefully we can see improve!

MJS does a poor job maintaining the property I live in, are extremely disorganized and they use cancer causing Roundup pesticides. Extremely unsafe and unethical business practices seeing this product is being pulled by the manufacturer this year. They prioritize profit over the health and well-being of their customers.

We could not be happier with the landscaping project with MJS. We engaged them to perform a major redo of our landscaping, including the patio in back, walkways around each side of the house and all plantings next to the house. Our designer and project lead was Tracy and she was just what we needed. We had a vague idea of what we wanted and she asked all the right questions and gave the right advice to get us there. She listened to our concerns and questions and was a good communicator. If she didn't have an answer to a question she didn't fake it but instead said she would find out--and she did so quickly. Follow-up was always timely and complete. The crew was friendly, cleaned up on a regular basis and was very competent and careful with their work. Tracy kept a watchful eye on progress. The final result was stunning and exceeded our expectations. We would confidently recommend them.

We worked with Tracy Jenks on our landscaping and hardscaping project in 2021. She was a dream to work with: very responsive, great ideas, ensured outside contractors did their parts on time, figured out product options when timing was able to be moved up and supply chain issues were rampant. She was patient as we made adjustments to the plan early on, provided photos of work done while we were away, did what she said she was going to all along and always had a smile. Their work was not the cheapest quote we received but not the highest either, and even during the quote process NO ONE else compared when it came to listening to what we wanted, being responsive and did what they promised. We’ve gotten so many compliments and we absolutely love it. Worth every penny!

I’m president of our homeowners association so I get to gather quotes for fertilizing and cutting the grass in our large common areas. Andy provided a very detailed and competitive quote so we went with MJS for 2020. Their attention to detail on site is very good plus Andy is the only contractor to ever follow up with me, asking how his crew was performing. For that reason alone, I would highly recommend their services.
