Lakeside Outdoor Services in Watertown

Hired for snow removal. The first year we hired these guys they were great but this year we have had to do our own snow removal more often than Lakeside has been here. When they are here they have been doing a poor job, not clearing sidewalks and porches, leaving the driveway very narrow, etc. Would not recommend them for snow removal.

Lakeside outdoor services has done a awesome job each time they have done work for me at my properties. Their employees are hard working and shows professionalism each and every time they are on the job. The professionalism goes above and beyond to get the job done in a timely manner. The employees are friendly caring and hard working to get the job completed to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Lakeside Outdoors Services for landscaping and plowing.

I wish that I could give a better review, but I can not. I hired Dave to plow for the 2020-2021 season. The minute the snow fell, he refused to sand, pushed back about the width of the path that needed to be plowed, pushed back about the depth of the snow, and did not show up. When I tried to hold him to the contract, he tried to double the price. Re-negotiating a plow contract in the middle of the season is like a surgeon upping his fee after he cuts you open, or a sea captain renegotiating his salary in mid-ocean. Not cool. In his defense, Dave did return the money that I had paid him - but he did that after he quit on a day when snow was falling in whiteout conditions, after all the other snow plowers were already booked for the season. People - do yourself a favor. Dodge this bullet! [Edit, March 2022]: I posted this review in January 2021 because Dave did not fulfill his contractual obligations and because he quit with no notice in the middle of a white-out snow storm. I see that has just now posted a reply. That's fourteen months to respond when his reputation is on the line. Imagine how slow he is to respond to customers who have paid him for the whole season, when he has an incentive to work as little as possible. Instead of responding negatively to constructive criticism, I suggest that Dave fulfill his contractual obligations, be responsive to customer communications, and show up. If people DM me, I can give recommendations to service providers in town who are reliable, responsive, professional, and courteous. No need to waste brain-damage on anyone else!

Dave returned my call quickly and gave us a quote quickly while being professional and helpful. They came and started the job much sooner than expected and made sure all of our requests were met and then some. Will be using them for all of our landscaping and outdoor needs. We are so glad we chose them.

Within 2 hours of my call Dave showed up and cleared my double driveway and sidewalk. Highly recommended! I called another company yesterday and they still have not even returned my call. This company however, answered my call and showed in less than 2 hours! I will definitely be calling on Lakeside for future snow removal!

Great winter maintenance team - did an exceptional job keeping my driveway and walkways clear. Lakeside came in under competing bids and had no issue with my property. Most other companies declined my property since it can not be plowed - Lakeside had their tractor and blower out in the early hours and spent less than 30min getting the long drive clear. Steps, walkways, and driveway were always clear with no snow lumps or forgotten areas left behind. The street entry was also cleared again after city plows came through. Great folks, highly recommend for winter maintenance - give them a call.

We just bought our first home and a lot of maintenance had to be done. I phoned around and got many quotes from different places. The one thing that stood out about lakeside was how friendly Dave was on the phone. He did our landscaping, leaf removal and gutters and the place looked amazing. He cuts our grass and trims our bushes weekly and has always been reliable. His team are always friendly and answer any questions I may have. Lakeside has gone above and beyond what other companies do, from cutting the tall grass inside my child’s play area, to sweeping up gravel from our driveway. As a person, Dave is as good as it gets and even helped me with a door problem since he knows I’m new to town. I strongly recommend his services and will be hiring him to do our snow removal as well.

Excellent company!! Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Dave and crew have went above and beyond on multiple occasions, from landscaping and mowing to salting and plowing. Anytime I’ve called to get something done, I always feel like I’m priority. All jobs Lakeside has been hired to do, have been completed before the original anticipated competition date. I highly recommend Dave and his crew for snow plowing, snow removal, salting as well as all your summer outdoor needs.
