We were having rain water pooling in our backyard coming mainly from our driveway and front down spouts that are routed to the back yard, Greenway dug a trench across the width of the driveway, down a hill and to the middle of the back yard where they had dug a 10' x 10' x 4' deep pit. They ran drainage pipe to the pit then filled the pit and the trench with gravel, topped it off with top soil and finally sod. Their crew were great. Very professional and polite. They worked diligently on both days and finished the project beautifully. This past Tuesday we got a lot of rain. At times it just poured. We had no water pooling and no signs of water running down the hill in the back yard. The work was a success. I would highly recommend Greenway Landscaping and would also definitely used them again if the need arises.
Ryan and his crew were absolutely amazing. They were very honest about what to expect up front, and what they could do with a two day job, cleaning out and re-sodding our back yard. It was a mess of thistle, weeds, and ivy from the previous owners that needed to be torn out and done again. They showed up on time with enough numbers and equipment to get the job done, were extremely polite, and cleaned up after themselves. We noticed "little" things too, like they were very careful not to block neighbours' driveways, and they did a few extra small things that we hadn't asked for, but still appreciated. Our job was fairly expensive, and Ryan had said when quoting "it might not feel like it should have cost that much" - but we saw the work and effort put in, and we definitely feel like it was well worth it.
We have had two fabulous experiences with the team at Greenway. We were impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, and the overall execution of our projects. We love our new patio, walkway and gorgeous driveway. The design that Luke came up with was nothing short of fabulous. Thank you so much for all your help in elevating the exterior of our home.
The customer service of Greenway Landscaping is second to none. They are prompt in their replies throughout the entire process of cleaning up my yard and extensive garden beds, which included two truck fulls of mulch. Very professional service from start to finish and I would not hesitate to call on them again.

Really happy with Greenway through the entire consult and building process. Their tiling of the porch, installation of the front walkways, driveway, and building our backyard retreat turned out to be INCREDIBLE! They started and completed the job on time, within budget and their professionalism and quality of work, and material, went well beyond our expectation. We are most pleased with the makeover of our entranceway, walkway, garden beds and the installation of a French drain by Greenway Landscaping of Waterloo, ON. Their professionalism through their attention to detail in both the planning and installation phases, willingness to answer questions, and keep us informed each step of the way is to be commended. Each day, Luke and his crew arrived promptly in the early morning and worked diligently until quitting time...even in the extreme heat conditions during their time at our house. Their daily tidying-up and post-job clean-up did not go unnoticed and were greatly appreciated. In addition, after the project was completed, Ryan and his administrative staff stopped by to inspect the work and ensure customer satisfaction. Their work certainly caught the attention of passersby and neighbours as we received many compliments, including an inquiry made by knocking at our door. We look forward to working with Greenway Landscaping for future outdoor projects.
We contracted Greenway Landscaping to completely rework our backyard and refresh our front garden/lawn. They did the designs for us as well. The end result is gorgeous. They did a ton of hardscaping, with a retaining wall on one side and a seating wall on the other, with beautiful circular and curved patios. The workers were professional and fast. The job started on schedule and finished on time - they also reduced the estimated time down from 14d to 7d and finished within the 7! We had one miscommunication while setting up the project around budgets which led to an initial design that was well beyond our budget, but the owner went above and beyond to correct for this and we ended up with a stunning backyard. All communications with the company were prompt and professional, and aside from the one snafu mentioned above were clear and concise. Definite recommend!

I contacted Greenway Landscaping in September to help deal with water drainage issues we experienced in our backyard. Ultimately with all the rain I wanted to avoid our basement flooding with a future snow thaw/rain combo that our region has been experiencing more frequently. Ryan met at our home and spent a lot of time taking measurements and planning out our backyard for our quote. He took my worries into account and made suggestions for options that he felt would help solve our issues all within price points to fit in our budget. Ryan was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. We decided to book a few weeks after I was set to give birth but our baby was late meaning our backyard job would start 2 days after arriving home. With a newborn in the house I was worried about the project but I can tell you that Ryan s team were equally professional and gave me nothing to worry about. They cleaned up our driveway and the road where there materials were every night and communicated through Ryan if there was something we needed to make a decision on. Their team found a few things in the backyard that we were unaware of but helped us make decisions and understand exactly what they had found. We were incredibly happy with the job Greenway did but we were blown away when Ryan showed up to the house on a rainy weekend to make sure he was happy with how the backyard was looking during the intense downpour. Very happy with my new front steps and interlocking walkway. The quote was reasonable, made a few changes on the fly, no problem. Work was done quickly and the crew was great. It also looks fantastic!
I have no hesitation in giving a reference for Greenway Landscaping and the owner Ryan Dean. I am very pleased with the work completed by the Greenway team. Greenway removed an existing flagstone patio which was causing drainage problems in my basement. They had to excavate and create a retaining wall before replacing the flagstone patio. I obtained several other estimates before deciding on Greenway. The Greenway estimate was not the least expensive estimate but I felt more confident about Greenway s ability to complete the work to my satisfaction. The Greenway estimate was quite detailed and I felt that Ryan had a better understanding of my concerns regarding drainage and would be able to make the patio both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Greenway repaired the damage to my existing lawns caused by the machinery used during the patio installation. In some areas sod was used and in less damaged areas, grass seed was used. I should add that the seed used sprouted up very quickly. I was very comfortable with Greenway s crew being on my property. As a single woman living alone, this was important. The men working for Greenway were all very polite and they made sure to tidy away their lunch refuse and to put away tools before leaving at the end of each day. They were also willing to answer any questions I had throughout the week. They were here for an entire week. The young man in charge of the work crew was very meticulous and made sure that they adhered to the Ontario Building Code and he made sure the patio was graded away from the house s foundation. Everything was carefully measured and re- measured. Greenway s owner Ryan visited my property several times throughout the week to check on the progress. I can confidently recommend Greenway Landscaping. I believe them to be reliable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I plan to use Greenway to complete more landscaping work for me in 2020.

I have had Greenway do spring garden clean up, edging and mulching for both myself and my mother -- both large properties -- for several years. In short, Greenway is a class operation. Communication is great, they are timely and their team of workers do a phenomenal job. It is obvious that they care about how the properties look when they leave. This year they had the challenge of bringing an overgrown property at my mothers back to life - she had been the caretaker for my father who just passed away and was forced to let it go. Greenway made it look like an oasis once again! Highly recommend Greenway!

AAA+. Ryan takes the time and actually listens to what you are wanting, draws up a plan and carries it through. The crew were very polite and professional. The workmanship was unbeatable and great care was given to ensure each paver and stone was accurately cut and placed. They did an irrigation system for me calling it a get wet system... backyards fine... front yard is terrible, on head for the bulk of my lawn. I did complain a while ago...and they was so much money to make it right. Pretty unhappy. When you get something like this they should be the experts and should give good advice.

We were very happy with the patio in our backyard. Also, I appreciate the exceptional customer service from the people who came to do the work . In the morning the stone place had dropped off the stones in our driveway. Looking at the bundle of stones it appeared a little different from what I had remembered Instead of verbally convincing me, one of the guys took me in their truck to the stone place to show me exactly what has been delivered, which was what I had wanted! Also, based on my recommendation, one my friends had landscaping done through Greenway that summer.
My experience over many years is only positive. Ryan and his crew have always taken my tired, drab, winter-ravaged gardens and shrub beds from a one(dire and dead) to a ten(full resurrection) every time. Every thing takes on a fresh alive look just like a makeover or a day at the spa with the careful, thoughtful work that Greenway Landscaping can do. I have been dealing with Greenway for years. Ryan does an excellent job at competitive rates. If you want golf course quality turf without going to the course, give him a call .He probably wont be playing golf, hell be making someones lawn look like the fairways
You can trust Ryan Dean. I asked for two quotes for our walkway and Ryans quote was extremely competitive. Despite such a competitive quote, we were thrilled to discover that Ryan is a perfectionist. We watched him and his assistant work for two full days to make sure the job was done perfectly. Although we tend to be critical of contractors in general, we were very impressed with the final product and are happy to recommend Greenway to others.
